Send a Change Document entry when an equipment change its status (IE02)

Hello experts,
In the transaction IE02 (Change Equipment), when a user changes the equipment status, for instance, from Active (ACTV) -> Inactive (INAC) when the SAVE button is pressed I need to post a Change Document entry (CDHDR and CDPOS).
I've already identified the user exit EXIT_SAPMIEQ0_002 which is triggered when the SAVE button is pressed in IE02 transaction. I cannot read the new status value.
At that moment I can read the old status (which has been change until the user exit finalized) but I don't find a way to check if that old_value <> new_value.
Does anybody knows a way to achieve this?

Stauts changes are tracked in the table JCDS and not in CDHDR and CDPOS.
You will have to check the box for Change documents in the configuration for equipment status ( this is done on equipment type's status profile ). The status change tracking will not happen until it has been set there.

    We have configured custom classification objects for material master and also we are able to maintain the material characteristics using MM01, MM02 and also using ALE interface. But I am not able to find the Change Documents in any of the table CDHDR & CDPOS. Please let me know what needs to be done to capture the change documents for a material classification changes in this case.

    Change logging of all Classification (including Material Classification) is controlled in the Class type configuration.
    SPRO -> Cross Application Components -> Classification System -> Classes -> Maintain Object types and Class types -> Select Object Table = MARA -> Double Click Class Types under MARA -> Select Class Type 001 and Display -> Check whether "Change Docs" check box is checked on.
    Also check that another flag "Chg. docs for Class" is set on all Objects under the Class type too (by double clicking the Objects folder for a Class type).
    If the Change docs flag is checked on for the relevant Class type and Object then change docs are logged in CDHDR and CDPOS tables for object "CLASSIFY"
    Also the "Change docs" flag cannot be set unless the "Multiple objects allowed" flag is also set in the Class type configuration.

    Also the above note says and I quote: If "Multiple objects allowed" indicator is not set, start the RCCLUKA2 program. The classification data are converted and the indicator 'Multiple object types allowed' is set. Now you can set the indicator 'Change documents' in Customizing of the class type. However, it only says that change documents are generally possible for this class type. Therefore you have to select objects under 'OBJECTS' for which the change documents are to be written.
    So if the Class type doesn't have "Multiple objects allowed" set (along with Change docs flag not set), there is also a conversion that needs to be run using program RCCLUKA2.
    Also when you transport the configuration to a target system, the program RCCLUKA2 should be run again, refer [Note 379180 - Classification data disappeared|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/379180 ]

  • Change document serie when using a drop shipment warehouse

    Hey all,
    I have the following question:
    We have a customer wich has 2 document series related to purchase orders.  When we use a drop shipment warehouse in our sales documents the SAP system runs the procurement wizard to add a purchase orders related to the sales order.
    Now our customer wants to choose the correct document serie to post the purchase order in.
    I've already tested this with SAP 8.81 PL 08 but for the moment this is not supported.
    If you take a look at the MRP functionality, there is a possibility to change the document series when creating Purchase orders from the order recommandation screen
    Will this be on the roadmap of SAP?

    Drop-down lists work a little differently than expected; in the Change event the rawValue contains the previously selected text.  That's why it works the second time.  The current selection is contained in: xfa.event.newText

  • I can no longer send a Pages document.  When I click Share my Send Via Email is grayed out.  When I click on pdf or any format the pull down screen disappears and nothing happens.  Why?  I am using an iMac with Mountain Lion.

    I can no longer email a Pages document.  When I click Share my Share Via Email is grayed out.  If I click pdf the window disappears and nothing happens.  Any ideas?

    Do you have the application Mail as the default mail application?

  • CS4: change document DPI, keep pixel size, change cm's

    As the title says, I am looking for a way to change the DPI of a document, but by default photoshop changes the pixels, and keeps the centimeters.
    However, I want the centimeters to change, and not the pixels, when changing the dpi.
    Is this possible, and if so, how?

    Kinda weird it is now re-rendering the smart filters, because the pixels havent changed, but I guess thats standard procedure with resizing.

    our legacy sap system has changed and i need to change the configuration.
    i have already changed the RFC Destination and port details in idoc reciver communication channel, even then the message to not going to new system
    i assume that the partner profile details in receiver legacy sap system is wrong.

  • Change Document for IH08 (Equip Record)

    Hello,
    I need to track some specific fields for the equipment record (EQUI) that changes over time. We are currently using Change Documents (CDHDR & CDPOS) in order to achieve this (it worked with the majority of the fields).
    We have been told that we also need to track when an equipment change it status, for instance, the equipment has change from Active (ACTV) to Inactive (INAC). I'm wondering why this type of changes are not being populated neither in the CDHDR table nor CDPOS. I also went to the IH08 transaction -> Extras -> Display Changes and is not reflected there as well.
    Is the equipment status different than the other field changes? What would be the best approach in order to track if a Equipment Status changed?

    i have problem, when i put servis number in to the servis line i havent change Purchase Requisition Document Type. Account
    Assignment Category is K and Item Category is D. It is standard of Purchase Requisition? When i set that i can change document type when item category is D.
    When i putting only material i can change Purchase Requisition Document.

    Hi,
    One thing please note that once you select the document type and draft the PR and save the PR, you will  get the doc number.
    Once you get the document number you cannot change the PR document type .
    The reason is document type is linked with number range so it cannot be changed because different seriers of document number is assined to differentdocument type. 
    And moreover document type is linked with the screen settings also. So I would request you to check the settings for each doc. type

    I am having issue in change document approval, when we are approving change document for unit testing or if release management approving change for pre-production or production approval, we are getting error, I started coming from last two days only,\
    when I did detail analysis,  in all transports project code related to change document, disappear
    although if I create new change document, project code appear,
    Do we have  way to solve this issue?, I even not able to decouple the transport from change document, it giving error, do we have way where we can resync change document and transport?

    Hi All,
    Do anyone have some solution for this issue?, it  is bigger than I thought, I can check it impacted all systems, and all transports,  all transports seems to issue they lost project code in it we rollover maintenance cycle last week and this problem started from their, we put charm master note and few other charm fixes(notes) last week,
    this problem not coming any new change document, but all change document created before rollover impacted

  • How to get terminal address along with Change document header

    Dear All
    My client want a report of the frequencies of a sales document changes along with terminal address. In table CDHDR i can get user name, date, t-code but not the terminal address. So requesting to guide me of how to get the terminal address from which terminal the document has been updated.

    I don't think this information is kept in change documents.  So for the change documents that are already created, you cannot get this information.
    For future however you can do some code changes to get this information.
    Function module TH_USER_INFO can return terminal name as well as IP address for a given client and user.
    All you have to do is either store this additional information along with change documents. For this i think you can check the FMs that are writing SD change documents. 
    OR
    You can use user exit exit SUSR0001 (User exit after logon to SAP System) to call this Function (TH_USER_INFO) at user logon and store this info in a Z table. Later when you are reading change documents, you can get user name, date time from change document and search this Z table for respective user Terminal name and IP Address.
    This is not a complete solution but i hope it will direct you to a solution.

  • Export and import change document for user master data

    Dear Gurus,
    I have two queries on change document for user master data:
    1. Are there any approaches to export and import change document for user master data?
    We often do system copy from PRD to QAS for UAT and troubleshooting. Before system copy we export the user master data from QAS and then import after the copy process. We would like to keep the change document for user master data on QAS from being refreshed from PRD for security reason.
    2. Change document for Role change in QAS
    When the role is created or modified in DEV and then transported to QAS, the role change document doen't include this change log. The role change document in QAS only records those role changes directly made in QAS.
    Could you advise this is by SAP design or are there any approaches to record this transported role change  in the role change document in QAS?

    1. Perhaps you want to consider a system copy to a "virtual system" for UAT?
    2. Changes in QAS (as with PROD as well) will give you the delta. They should ideally be clean... You need to check the source system.
    Another option is to generate the profiles in the target system. But for that your config has to be sqeaky clean and in sync, including very well maintained and sync'ed Su24 data.

  • Change documents cannot be generated

    When trying to approve an admin charm we are getting warning : change documents cannot be generated
    Diagnosis
    Change Documents cannot be generated.
    System Response
    The status is reset, the action is canceled.
    Procedure
    Your Change Request Document contains data which cannot be used for the generation of the follow-on change documents.
    Please check the following possible errors:
    The chosen project in project field of the 'Details' assignment block is a project without a maintenance cycle or the assigned maintenance cycle is in a status where the generation of Change Documents are not allowed. The generation of projects is for example not allowed if the project is in a final status.
    If possible, change the project or choose a phase in the maintenance cycle which allows the generation of Change Documents. If this is not possible, this project cannot be used.
    The 'Scope' assignment block contains scope items for with a chosen IBase which is not the IBase of the productive system in the one (or more) logical components assigned in the chosen project. This is only relevant for the change category 'Urgent Correction', 'Normal Correction' and 'Administrative Change'.
    Choose the right IBase for the change category scope item.
    If a change is not possible because the Change Request was approved and the fields are not edit able, set the Change Request to 'Validation'. Then the data can be changed and the Change Request can be approved again.

    Have you checked all the possible errors stated as in your error?
    1. Do you have proper auth to create, proper system assigned with the dev role and ibase created?
    2. is it new CR or you are trying to extend the scope? if this case, what is the status of CR? check out
    ChaRM: RfC process stuck at "Being Implemented"
    3. whether your project has the valid maintenance cycle assigned? you can check in solar_project_admin maintenance cycle is open ?
    4. what is the phase status of maintenance cycle and project cycle. check this allows to create CD, with the status as development with release ?

  • CN60 - Change document report

    Hi All,
    For some reason history is not always captured for all events on CN60.
    When I confirm an activity I put on the Actual date, reflecting on a milestone. However when I go to CN60 to do an audit check, sometimes the new value column does not reflect latest changes.

    I am new to sdn and this is my second post, My requirement is to extract changed documents from CRM to BW as they are neither stored in any database tables nor i think i can fetch them through function module but I can view them in for example in Business Partner transaction under Extras menu->changed documents i can find the records which i need to pull , would anyone suggest me what are the steps I need to follow in order to extract them to BW.I appreciate it in advance and If you need any additional information let me know.

    when i checked to know where exactly the changed documents are stored after choosing Change Documents in Extras menu I see a structure CDRED in technical Information screen after pressing F1 on any field in changed documents but when I check in CDHDR or CDPOS I didnot see the documents which I am expecting. Would You please suggest me some steps how to pull records using structure CDRED or If I am wrong please correct me as I am new to CRM BW and also I appreciate if you would explain me in detail.

    We are developing a custom interface from Payroll to Projects which will post all the entries from OTL.
    OTL->Payroll->Projects
    We are stuck with identifying the Difference Between OTL Retro Entry and Salary Change Retro Entry when we process Retropay in Payroll.
    After retropay, we come we would see the retro element entries for both them with same name and creator_type is either EE or RR for both them.
    In our interface we have to treat retro entries through OTL and Salary Change in differentway.
    Has anyone can give some suggestions on this please asap as we are heading towards UAT very soon.

    Hi Anand,
    Element with creator_type RR are created/generated by Retropay.
    Elements with creator_type EE are regular element entries.
