Send an attachment as part of an XML msg via ABAP Proxy (R3 6.40)

For 6.20 proxies check this:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_xi20sr1/helpdata/en/18/dd5f3ce7ca3d3ee10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
Be aware, that you have to change the code after upgrade to 6.40/7.0

Stefan

Thanks that worked like a charm.

    Hi,
    yes I know, I have used the MessageTransformBean module, and the PayloadSwapBean module. But which parameter I should use for leaving only one attachement in the e-mail. I did this configuration:

    Local Enterprise Bean
    <b>trans</b>
    2
    localejbs/AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean

    <i><b>Module configuration</b></i>
    trans
    Transform.ContentDisposition

  • Sending the Purchase Ordr frm ECC to PI(BPM) thrgh ABAP proxy communication

    Hi Experts,
         We have a requirement where we have to send the Purchase Orders(PO's) generated in ECC system to PI where the PO will be routed to webservices after some error handling(in BPM).etc.
         We are able to generate the PO's in ECC system, but are searching for a way to push this data to the Service INterface (which we have generated through ABAP proxy connection in SPROXYin ECC) which we have used for implementing the BPM in PI.
        We have thought of using BADI to push the PO's to the Service INterface.But have not been able to find a suitable BADI.
    Please help in finding a suitable BADI or Suggest any Better way for doing the same if you are aware of....
    Please respond quickly as we have short deadlines to be met....
    Thanx in advance...
    Nandan

    Hi Raja Sekhar,
      Thanx for the quick reply.
      If i have got you point right, you are telling me to right a program that will fetch the PO's and push the data into our Interface.
    Let me explain you the complete scenario, we already have a ECC to SUS thrgh PI implemeted for the same PO's generated. Our requirement is that depending on the vendor details in PO's we have got to route the PO details to either SUS or BPM.
    I had thought of writing a prgm but the abapers feel that a standard BADI for the same would lessen their efforts.
    Meanwhile can you explain with a little more detail the standard approach you are referring to... probably some material relating to this would help us...
    thanx a lot..
    waiting for your reply,

  • Parse XML streams via ABAP program or class

    Hi all,
    because of a new requirement we would like to create characteristics from a XML file by using the following structure.
    xmlns:gdt="http://sap.com/xi/SAPGlobal/Global" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    We do not use SAP XI but I would like to parse the XML stream from a file in order to have the information available in a ABAP program. For this reason I'm looking for a standard SAP ABAP program or class to read and parse such a XML file.
    I would appreciate if somebody have more details on this topic.

    Check this out.

    please suggest me the steps to be followed in order to send a XML message and accepting this message using proxies.
    please help me out with detailed procedure.
    thanks+regards,

    Hi UjwalKumar,
    Follow this link:
    /people/prateek.shah/blog/2005/06/14/file-to-r3-via-abap-proxy
    This blog gives an excellent description of 'FILE to Proxy' scenario.
    what you need is XML to proxy...i.e. your scenario is very similar to this one...only diffrence is  that  , you wont be using FCC .since your source msg is in XML format..
    Hope this helps..

  • Sending payload in ABAP proxy

    Hi all,
    i have a requirement to send the inbound payload in the mail content when any error occurs in ABAP proxy. How can I achieve this?
    Thanks

    are you looking for this
    The following program fetches the payload for a request message independently of a proxy instance and returns it in the system:
    DATA:
      ls_request          TYPE [Data type of output parameter],
      lo_fault            TYPE REF TO cx_ai_system_fault,
      lo_payload_handler  TYPE REF TO IF_WS_PAYLOAD_HANDLER,
      lo_payload          TYPE REF TO if_ws_payload,
      lt_request_data     TYPE PRX_T_PARAM,
      ls_request_data     TYPE PRX_S_PARAM.
      lo_pointer          TYPE REF TO xstring,
    Fill request data
    request-field1 = '[Value1]'.
    request-field1 = '[Value1]'.
    request-fieldN = '[ValueN]'.
    Use payload handler to get payload independently
    from proxy call:
    TRY.
    Get Payload handler for a proxy method.
    Note: You have to provide the proxy and method name in uppercase.
      lo_payload_handler = cl_proxy_access=>get_payload_handler(
         proxy_name = 'CO_...'
         proxy_method = 'EXECUTE_SYNCHRONOUS' ).
    Pass request data to payload handler
      CLEAR lt_request_data.
      CLEAR ls_request_data.
      ls_request_data-name = 'OUTPUT'.
      GET REFERENCE OF request into ls_request_data-value.
      append ls_request_data to lt_request_data.
      lo_payload =
         lo_payload_handler->get_payload_from_request_data(
            lt_request_data).
    Catch system faults
    CATCH cx_ai_system_fault INTO lo_fault.
      WRITE: / 'System fault'.
      WRITE: / 'Code:', lo_fault->code.
      WRITE: / 'Text:', lo_fault->errortext.
      EXIT.
    ENDTRY.
    Show payload for test purposes
    lo_pointer = lo_payload->get_xml_pointer( ).
    cl_proxy_service=>show_xml_document( lo_pointer->* ).

    Hi,
    Proxies communicate with the XI server by means of native SOAP calls over HTTP .RFC does not, so you have to convert from SOAP to RFC calls and vice versa. So XML conversion is required.
    ABAP Proxies uses Webservice and Http Protocols. And if you use RFC it is mainly meant for Sync. call. But Proxies is used for both Sync and Async.
    If you use ABAP Proxy , you can reduce the overhead calling the function again and again.

    ABAP Proxies in XI(Client Proxy) - ABAP Client Proxy
    Re: JDBC Sender select/update problem
    If u generate proxy for outbound interface then its client proxy and for inbound interface its server proxy.
    In client proxy u can call the method to send messages but u can't modify it but in server proxy its possible to write a user code within the method to execute proxy.
    CLIENT PROXY:
    A WSDL description from a UDDI server (or an Internet page) is usually used to make a service executable in the Internet and to describe the interface of this service. You require a client proxy and not a server proxy to call this service by using the Web service infrastructure.
    SERVER PROXY:
    You can only generate ABAP server proxies from a WSDL description if they originate in the Integration Repository.You can also generate server proxies for Java and client proxies for ABAP from message interfaces.
    s refer these doc about ABAP proxy ..

  • Error Handling for ABAP Proxy sender

    Hello Everyone,
    I am trying out a scenario of SAP R/3 to Oracle database (ABAP Proxy to JDBC).
    I have the following code and it works fine.
    CALL METHOD prxy->execute_asynchronous
          EXPORTING
            output = it.
         commit work
      CATCH cx_ai_system_fault .
        DATA fault TYPE REF TO cx_ai_system_fault .
        CREATE OBJECT fault.
        WRITE :/ fault->errortext.
    I know that the above Catch block would be used to handle system errors on the sender side.
    Please tell me what kind of errors could these be and what I can do to test these errors. ie. I want to  create error situations explicitely and see how they are handled.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ashwin

    Thanks guys, this was useful.
    My scenario is for Asynchronous communication.
    I guess Fault messages are used in case of Synchronous communication for handling application errors. So if there was something wrong at the JDBC end then I could use the fault messages.
    Have i got this right?
    I also came across this piece on Acknowledgements. But is says that they can be used with the following Receivers:
    The following receivers support acknowledgments:
    ABAP and Java proxies (XI 3.0 SP1 for the latter)
    Integration processes
    IDocs (note that IDocs only return acknowledgments when they have been configured using the ALE audit)
    Receiver adapters support system acknowledgments but not application acknowledgments
    My Receiver is JDBC. So I guess I cannot use acknowledgements either.
    Hence, I need to know what I can do to replicate the system errors eg. failed server etc...so that I can get catch these errors during sending.
    I'll tell you abt what happened earlier.
    My XI server was down. I executed the code for the sender ABAP Proxy and it did not catch the error. In SXMB_MONI in the R/3 system, I could see the messages queued up. When the XI server started, the messages were transferred to XI.
    I need to handle such errors...ie. If  the server is down or message did not reach XI then my ABAP program that sends data via ABAP proxy needs to know that something went wrong.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ashwin

  • Flex & PHP - Send email attachment

    I'ld like for my visitor to be able to send an email to a friend with the creation from my application as an attatchment (so like a screencap of the creation). I can get Flex and PHP to communicate and send an email, but I can't get the image to send. It sends an attachment that is 2o or less and can't be opened (of course !).
    I don't get an error return from my application
    I found these posts linked below which helped me, but I still don't get how to pass the image from Flex to PHP.

    Thanks for your help

    I've looked around for an answer for this for days and finally got it to work so here's how I did it (helped by a lot of ressources on the internet and specifically this one : http://j-query.blogspot.com/2011/02/save-base64-encoded-canvas-image-to-png.html)
    here's my Flex code for my image :
    var je:JPEGEncoder = new JPEGEncoder(100);
        var bd:BitmapData = new BitmapData(conteneurDeMonImage.width,conteneurDeMonImage.height);
        bd.draw(conteneurDeMonImage);
        var ba:ByteArray = je.encode(bd);
        var be:Base64Encoder = new Base64Encoder();
        be.encodeBytes(ba);
        var encodedData:String = be.toString();
                                            // Testing if my base64 is working in FLEX
                                            /*var byteArr:ByteArray;
                                            var B64dec:Base64Decoder = new Base64Decoder();
                                            B64dec.decode(encodedData);
                                            byteArr = B64dec.toByteArray();
                                            imageEnGrand.load(byteArr);*/
        emailService.send({senderName: _nomSTF, senderEmail:_emailSTF, emailFriendSTF: _emailFriendSTF, emailSubject:_sujetSTF, emailMessage: _messageSTF, file : encodedData});
    Here's my PHP code :
    $fileatt_type = "application/octet-stream";
        $fileatt_name = "test.jpg";
        $sender_name =  $_POST['senderName'];
        $email_from = $_POST['senderEmail'];
        $email_subject = $_POST['emailSubject'];
        $email_message = $_POST['emailMessage'];
        $email_to = $_POST['emailFriendSTF'];
        $headers = 'From:'.$sender_name.'<'.$email_from.'>';
        $data = $_POST['file'];
        $data = str_replace('data:image/png;base64,', '', $data);
        $data = str_replace(' ', '+', $data);
        $img_data = base64_decode($data);

  • Error when trying to send an attachment

    Hi there,
    I am running an application in Tomcat 5.5 and I am trying to send an email with an attachment via java mail. The attachment will eventually be a zip file containing wav files but I can't seem to get it to work with a text file yet.
    I may be a little confused...I am especially confused with the DataHandlerSet stuff.
    Here is the code:
    public String sendmail(String msgSubject)
         //Sets some variables.
        String emailmultipart = "true"; //if this is set to false sends a simple message.
        String msgText = "Some text \n\n";
        String smtphost = "myhost";
        String emailto = "[email protected]";
        String emailfrom =  "[email protected]";
        //Gives the path of where the sound files are.
        File soundfile = new File("myfile.txt");
        boolean debug = true; // change to get more information
        String msgText2 = "multipart message";
        boolean sendmultipart = Boolean.valueOf(emailmultipart).booleanValue();
           // set the host
        Properties props = new Properties();
        props.put("mail.smtp.host", smtphost);
          // create some properties and get the default Session
        Session session = Session.getDefaultInstance(props, null);
        session.setDebug(debug);
        try
              // create a message
               Message msg = new MimeMessage(session);
               // set the from address
               InternetAddress from = new InternetAddress(emailfrom);
               msg.setFrom(from);
               //set the to address
               InternetAddress[] address =
                   new InternetAddress(emailto)
               msg.setRecipients(Message.RecipientType.TO, address);
               //set subject - support request id
               msg.setSubject(msgSubject);
              //decides whether to send plain text message or multi text message (from true/false in the command line)
              //sends a simple plain text email
              if(!sendmultipart)
                 // send a plain text message
                 msg.setContent(soundfile, "text/plain");
              //sends an attached file.
              else
                 // send a multipart message// create and fill the first message part
                 MimeBodyPart mbp1 = new MimeBodyPart();
                 //adds the text as normal

                  //FileDataSource fds = new FileDataSource(filen);

                 mbp3.setDataHandler(new DataHandler(fds));
                 mbp3.setFileName(fds.getName());
    //             mbp3.setContent();
                Multipart mp = new MimeMultipart();
                //adds the text to the message

    I'd be really grateful for any help. I can't seem to get past this error not matter what I try. Sending the simple mail works, but sending an attachment produces the error above. I have seen similar errors before but when the user actually wants to send html and not a file.
    Thanks a lot,
    Jess

    HI ,Thanks for your response. That was an error in the code I posted, but wasn't the error I was trying to solve. Once correcting that error you pointed out I am getting the problems not when I send a plain text email like:
              if(!sendmultipart)
                 // send a plain text message
                 msg.setContent(msgText, "text/plain");
              }but when I try and send multipart messages doing this:
              else
                 // send a multipart message// create and fill the first message part
                       MimeBodyPart mbp1 = new MimeBodyPart();
         mbp1.setText(msgText);
          // create and fill the second message part
         MimeBodyPart mbp3 = new MimeBodyPart();
         // attach the file to the message
         FileDataSource fds = new FileDataSource(soundfile);
         mbp3.setDataHandler(new DataHandler(fds));
         mbp3.setFileName(fds.getName());
                       Multipart mp = new MimeMultipart();
         //adds the text to the message
          mp.addBodyPart(mbp1);
          //adds the attachment to the message
          mp.addBodyPart(mbp3);
           // adds the content to the message
          msg.setContent(mp);
         }So i get the error when executing the else branch.
    Can you spot any errors here? I get the same error as mentioned earlier.
    Thanks a lot,
    Jess

  • B2B - Email with XML attachment - Error in reading the xml file

    Hello,
    We have a requirement where an application sends an email with an xml attachment to a Lotus Notes (IMAP) mail box. I have configured the Partner, Agreements and Listening Channel to pick up the file from the mail box. Looks like when B2B is trying to read / store attachment, it errors out, there is no instance in B2B created. Looking at the logs, the file content is not read as XML, instead it seems like a text. When B2B tries to read the attachment it is not xml, there are no error messages as well.
    The "Content type" in the Listening Channel is set to blank, so B2B can decide appropriate content type. Should this be set?
    Could some one tell me what is wrong, not sure what is missing in the configuration.
    Thanks,
    Venkatesh
    Here is the log in Trace 32.

    Thanks Anuj,
    After setting the property, I am no longer receiving the error, however, still fails with a different error, "Exception occurs in conversion from mail to TransportMessage. Please make sure the message sent is in correct format." and "TransportMessage cannot be created from mail. Skip this mail."
    The error appears after / while, executing, IMAPMonitor.saveAttachment():
    Is this a problem with the attachment or the email?
    here is the log,

  • Problem to send out attachment

    Hi all,
    This is urgent. Any advice is appreciated. I have java class to send out attachement. The program was working fine without any issues until last Friday. Suddenly, it could not send any attachment email out. I was able to send out a simple email without attachment. I did not know what changed. I ran out of resources for troubleshooting it.
    Here is my code:
    import java.util.Properties;
    import javax.mail.*;
    import javax.mail.internet.*;
    import javax.activation.*;
    public class SendAttachment {
    public void Send (String MailHost, String AddFrom, String AddTo, String FileAttName)
    throws Exception {
    String host = MailHost;
    String from = AddFrom;
    String to = AddTo;
    String fileAttachment = FileAttName;
    // Get system properties
    Properties props = System.getProperties();
    // Setup mail server
    props.put("mail.smtp.host", host);
    // Get session
    Session session =
    Session.getInstance(props, null);
    // Define message
    Message message =
    new MimeMessage(session);
    message.setFrom(
    new InternetAddress(from));
    message.addRecipient(
    Message.RecipientType.TO,
    new InternetAddress(to));
    message.setSubject(
    "Hello JavaMail Attachment");
    // create the message part
    BodyPart messageBodyPart =
    new MimeBodyPart();
    //fill message
    messageBodyPart.setText("Hi");
    Multipart multipart = new MimeMultipart();
    multipart.addBodyPart(messageBodyPart);
    // Part two is attachment
    messageBodyPart = new MimeBodyPart();
    DataSource source =
    new FileDataSource(fileAttachment);
    messageBodyPart.setDataHandler(
    new DataHandler(source));
    messageBodyPart.setFileName(fileAttachment);
    multipart.addBodyPart(messageBodyPart);
    // Put parts in message
    message.setContent(multipart);
    // Send the message
    Transport.send( message );
    my test program:
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.io.OutputStream;
    public class TestJavaMail {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    String myhost =args[0];
    String from =args[1];
    String to = args[2];
    String filename = args[3];
    try {
    System.out.println("Start .....");
    System.out.println("Preparing...");
    SendAttachment app = new SendAttachment();
    app.Send(myhost, from, to, filename);
    System.out.println("Success!");
    } catch (Exception e) {
    //System.err.println(ExceptionUtil.printStackTrace(e));
    System.exit(-1);
    After successful compilation, here is how I ran the class:
    java TestJavaMail mymaihost.com [email protected] [email protected] /tmp/test.txt
    It stops just before it calls Transport.send( message );
    Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

  • Mail Sender to Abap Proxy Receiver with Attachements

    Hi All,
    Scenario: I need to create a ticket in Solman from a mail. I intend to do the scenario as Mail sender to Abap Proxy receiver asynchronous.
    I have configured my sender mail adapter and am able to get the mails in XI. The attachements also appear in Inbound payload as MailAttachement-1, MailAttachement-2 etc. I have checked use mail packege and keep attachements in sender adapter.
    Transport Protocol: IMAP4
    Message Protocol: XIPAYLOAD
    Queries:
    1. My Inbound Data Type is the mail Package -- ximail30_xsd. Here in sxmb_moni I can see the mail attributes like from, to and the mail body in content. But How can I read the attachements in my message mapping.
    2. How can I pass these attachements to Abap Proxy ( I do not need to alter attachments only pass to proxy ). These attachements have to be attached to the Solman ticket in SOLMAN server.
    Appreciate your kind response to my above queries.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Siddhesh S.Tawate
    PS: I have tried using PayloadSwapBean in adapter module but still the content at source remains same.

  • How to send soap attachment without SAAJ

    I have to send XML or text file as an attachment in the web service, just like email attachment. Currently I am intercepting the SOAP message (sent from web service client) and then adding an attachment using SAAJ. Can we send an attachment without intercepting and SAAJ in netbeans just like how we send other data (with basic datatypes ) as parameters to the web service operation ?
    TIA.

    Soap is a protocol that runs over TCP (sockets.) You can build the entire soap message by hand if you want to.
    That said adding something is dependent on the fact that the other side will consume it.
