Send an automatic acknowledge EDI 855

Hi there, Im working in an Idoc integration and EDI using Inovis as middleware, actually Im receiving ORDERS05 Idoc from Inovis to create a Sales Order, I need to trigger an action at the moment when Sales Order is created in SAP, to send an automatic acknowledge that would be mapped to EDI 855. I would like to know how I can trigger this action in SAP.

EDI 850 and EDI 855 differences

Hi All,
We are currently receiving a PO Via EDI-850 and Sales document is posted. Due to the internal setting based on several scenario's either the material or qty gets changed eg Material determination. Price also what they send on the EDI and current condition record rate may be different. Sales orders are created based on the condition record. Upon saving the order it sends the Order Acknowledgement ie 855.
Any standard SAP functionality is available to mark the differences on the PO received via EDI 850, before sending the 855 back to the customers.

Maybe you could create requirement routine for the output type of Order Acknowledgement to check whether the PO data consist with SO data and stop the output process if the data doesn[t consist.
Then you could enter another output type without the requirement check manually on the sales order after getting acknowledge of the differences.

EDI 855 (Order Confirmation)

One of our customers is requiring us to send them an EDI 855 whenver we change a sales order. They only want the 855 if something is changed. I thought about using output type BA00 with message type ORDRSP, however the idoc doesn't tell you what has changed and this is required by the cusotmer on the 855. For example, if we change the qty from 10 to 8, this needs to be on the IDOC in order for it to be mapped on the 855. Has anyone dealt with this type of 855 before? Thank you,

For both plant and pricing condition functional config was already done. If any of these two fields are missing, the status of sales order will be incomplete.For incomplete orders also, the EDI output is being proposed.
Now just tell me, in which SAP program, do i have to put the break point?

BPM: Send step with acknowledgment - Application

Hi folks,
Ive a simple BPM with receiver(sender file)->mapping->send(IDoc receiver). The Send step is configured with the option Acknowledge type -> Application. The scenario runs well, the IDoc is successfully processed, but my BPM remains waiting with the clock icon!!! Going to sxi_monitor, in the PE details is a step waiting for an event from R/3 with the message Waiting for an event SEND_OK_APPLICATION type CL_SWF_XI_MESSAGE. It seams waiting for an event that R/3 didnt send Did I miss some steps at R/3?
The idea is to receive an ack after my IDoc is successfully processed at R/3, in order to finish the BPM.
Regarding Acknowledgment type -> Application, the sap help says:
Wait for Acknowledgement
Specify whether the send step is to wait for an acknowledgement. To receive an acknowledgement in the send step, the receiver (adapter, business system, and so on) must send the corresponding acknowledgment.
Application - Specifies that the message was processed successfully by the receiver application (for example, posted).
I guess it should works, but maybe I'm missing something. Anyone knows how to work with this kind of ack at ccBPM?

You would not believe me but I had the same requirement a year back.
Infact I ended up posting a thread on this on the XI forum,

Answering your question in 2 phases,
1. R3 can send the AleAduit back to XI immediately. In the inbound processing code, all the R3 team would need to do is add the code to trigger the RBDSTATE report to trigger AleAudit to XI.
2. The problem with Correlation - Well, in your case as you are using Idoc Packaging , the solution 1 in my earlier thread would not do the trick. If you look in IDX5 in XI you will see that the Idoc Packaging trigger multiple Idoc's from XI itself but again the problem is the correlation and for this there is no straight forward solution than having some custom field in the Idoc and in the corresponding response.
But yeah overall your analysis was perfect. Idoc's are used for Asynch Communications and hence trying to achieve what we are acheiving is not always and necessarily the best solution. Proxies help in these cases, and if proxies are not possible then I guess RFC is the way to go.

I have created purchase order (ME21N)and saved it.
Then i went to ME22N , Goto -> Messages, i am getting below error .....
Maintain outgoing EDI connection data for partner 8888(this is the partner number i have created in partner profile)
please suggest the possible cause of the error and how could i rectify it.

Sending mails automatically at regular intervals

Hello everyone,
We have to create Auto Responder application where we need to send mails automatically to customers(clients) at regular intervals. we need to send these mails automatically without any manual involvement.Wat we know is just the client's email and once we get the clients mail,our application should be able to send these mails at regular periodic intervals. Plz help me out in arriving at a solution for this problem.

I would like to map Vendor confirmation number coming from EDI 855 to the ORDRSP idoc.
Please suggest which segment with qualifier and fields in it can be used for this purpose to log the confirmation number in SAP.

I have tried this option at header level (E1EDK02-002) and item level (E1EDP02-002)too previously, but it is not working.
I'm currently working in SAP 4,7 version, do I need to implement any notes to accept the vendor number and update externaldoc number?
In the standard SAP code before updating vendor number... item details are checking against PO, If I give PO number it is updating the same at External doc number.

We can cretae converion rule using SALE transaction for ALE.
SALE> Modeling and Implementing Bus Procc> Convert Data Between Sender and Receiver..-->
Like this do u we have any Config.. or shall I handle the conversion in the Customer exit ..

I need to send an automatic mail through lotus notes.In the mail i should attach a PDF document . Pls give me solution how can i attach pdf document in my mail and it will we be attach automatically.This mail should be sent to multiple recipients.The problem is the mail.

Use the database procedure UTL_MAIL.SEND to send mail and attachments.
UTL_MAIL.SEND(from_addr,to_addr,nvl(cc_addr,null),null,subject,mail_body);
And you can call this from forms.
If you search in this forum , u can get the whole code. I have pasted the code earlier.

EDI 855.

Hi frenz,
We have got an strange requirement in sending sales order acknowledgement to the customer.
Actually we recieve a purchase order from the customer which may contain some 100 line items. Each line items has to be sent to multiple ship-to-parties.. So wat happens here is, one sales order will be created for each ship-party and material combination.
For example,
if we get 100 line items and each item has to be sent to 20 ship-to-parties. Then 2000 sales orders will be created. This is not our job and it's done awridy....
Now our job is to send a single order acknowledgement for all these 2000 sales orders, which shuld contain same 100 line items and under each lines items again 20 ship-to-parties.... So here we got to group many things and coding seems to contain hell lot of nested loops and select commands.... If anyone had done this scenario awridy, can help us. Others shall give some tips on this.

By default, Reader updates occur automatically via the Reader app itself, and this is the most secure way to receive updates. While you can choose to update manually (by choosing Help > Check for Updates), you may not always get critical updates as they're released. See Automatic updates | Acrobat, Reader. If you receive an email about needing to update Reader, you should ignore it, as that is where the malicious updates can come from. Just make sure you're letting the updates happen from within Reader, either automatically or manually.

So we have DSL Modem <-> Base Station <-> Computer connected by Ethernet.
Is the Modem Routing ?
Is the Base Station set to "Share An IP" ?
(i.e are there two DHCP servers on your LAN ?)
Is Internet Sharing On in th G5s System Preferences > Sharing pane ?
In the Base Station is Port Mapping Protocol Enabled if it is doing routing ?
It is in the NAT tab of the Internet Pane.
Is the G5 also doing WiFi to the Base Station ?
Also check the Modem is not Blocking PINGS as this log shows no PING (But I am not sure it even got that far)

does anybody know how to send emails automatically if it meets the requirement, for example, will send emails automatically if an account balance is less than $100? are there any codes to guide me?

Here's some code, just pass in the to, from, subject, and body in the constructor... You'll have to tweak the mail server ip's, etc... You need mail.jar, which is available somewhere on java.sun.com.
I just use it to send email from my appserver, and I'm not using all the capabilities.. You can send attachments, multi-part mime, etc.. This class can easily be modified to do spamming, mailbombs, or newslists.

I'm trying to off my email but when i go through mail,contacts,calendar it send me automatically to main screen. Any help pls??

I'm not at all sure about this - if it has any bearing is what I mean - do you have restrictions turned on?
Settings>General>Restrictions>On.... if you do have it turned on, that can prevent anyone from making changes to email accounts. But the way you describe what is happening - it sounds like the Mail, Contacts, Calendars Setting is crashing for some reason. "Send me automatically to the main screen" sounds like a crash - that is what apps do when they crash or quit unexpectedly.
I don't use restrictions and I've never seen them "in action" so to speak. I just assumed that if you had restrictions enabled, the setting is greyed out and "unselectable" if you will.
The only other things I can think of that you can try are to reset the iPad and then restore it if that fails.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If the setting went bad, I know of nothing else to try other than to restore.

Will the apply process send back an acknowledgement when error or conflict?

To ensure data integration, some mechanisms are introduced into streams. One of those is, when an apply process in the destination receive the LCR, it will send an acknowledgement to the propagation process in the source, and only when the propagation process in the source receive acknowledgements from all destinations, it will remove the LCR from the stream queue.
My question is, when the apply process encountered with some exceptions, i.e. errors or conflicts, will it still send back the acknowledgement? Or this depends on whether the errors and conflicts are handled appropriately? Or some other conditions?

It's really two seperate things. The propagation process will push the lcr to all targets. Once it is safely in all of the target queues, the lcr will be removed from the source queue. If the apply processes successfully executes the lcr, then it will be removed from the target queue for that apply process. If an unhandled exception happens, then you will see the message in dba_apply_error. The apply processes don't know (or care) about what the other apply processes may do with the lcr.
