Send Link in Email

Hi there,
I'm trying to send an html email from XI. The email content currently has a hyperlink referencing an online website. However this link is too long so I am trying to enacapsulate it in <a href> tag to only show simple two-word link.
However, although the email that is sent is of html type, XI does not seem to recognize the <a href> tag and send it as text. Here is the xml payload for the message i'm sending:
content-type:application/xml
content-length:994
content-id:[email protected]
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ns:Mail xmlns:ns="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Mail/30">
<Subject>Time Off Request from Alaa Qasem</Subject>
<From>qasema</From>
<To>baudaisk; qasema</To>
<Content_Type>text/html; charset=us-ascii</Content_Type>
<Content>This is a time off request submitted byAlaa QasemPlease click on the link below to approve/disapprove.  &lt;a href=&quot;http://google.com">Click Here&lt;/a&gt;</Content></ns:Mail>
Do I need to change any of the Mail Adapter attributes?

There is a bug in the Mail Adapter (see note 863930).
I have tested with SP13, there it works.

Stefan

  • Can not send links to email. where is the setting so that i can unblock

    when i go to file and clik on send link it will not allow me to send link to email recipient.

    I think we both understand what you want. And we're both saying we are not aware of any built-in way to do this.

  • Using windows 8.1 can't "send link by email" on explorer

    I had a windows 7 computer and could "send link or page" by email when on a webpage. It won't highlight on the windows 8.1 computer I have now. I used to use windows live mail but now switched to Thunderbird. I use internet explorer as the browser. I am sure it is just some setting I can't find.
    Thanks

    I think you would be better asking the people at Microsoft how to get their browser to send a page. I just did it with Internet explorer on Windows 7 without an issue, although I did get a UAC prompt.

  • "Send link by email" in IE9?

    I have just moved from IE8 to 9, and I want to send a link by email.  I often do this.  I found a way:
    Press Alt, to bring up the old menu, click on the File menu, hover over Send, and click "Link by email".
    You have got to be joking!  Please tell me I'm wrong, I'm missing something, or just that I'm plain stupid.  Tell me anything, but don't tell me
    that's the only way to send a link by email in IE9!

    What happened to the Mail button in IE9?

  • Neither "file, send" nor "send link" open email. This problem started a few months ago and has been on-going. How do I resolve the problem?

    I cannot email an article from my home page or something found elsewhere on the web by right clicking and selecting "send link". I also try "File, Send Link" without success. How can I fix this problem? I have never had this problem until a couple of months ago. Thanks.

    The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.
    There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
    * Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
    * Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

  • Since I downloaded OSX 10.9.2, I don't have the "send link via email" so how can I do that now, it's not on the file drop down.

    Ever since I downloaded OSX 10.9.2 Mavericks, I can't email a link to a page.  It's not on the file drop down.  So how do I do that now???

    Check under File > Share
    OS X 10.9.3 is out. You need to update first and see if this brings back the option.

  • With Mozilla Firefox, I cannot go to "File" and then "Send Link" so as to pull up an email ready to send via Outlook Express, as I can with Internet Explorer - how do I change the settings to permit this?

    If I am using Explorer, I can go to "File" and then "Send Link" -
    an email will automaticallt pop up, with the website url pasted in;
    I merely put in the recipents email address, hit Send, and away it goes
    With Firefox, the email does not pop up; I have to manually pull up an email ("create mail"), then copy and paste the website url
    displayed by Firefox
    I want to override this default to Explorer

    Hi,
    Please try this: '''Tools''' (or '''Alt''' + '''T''') > '''Options''' > '''Applications'''. Look for or start typing '''mailto''' in the search box and for the '''Action''' change it to the desired mail client (the application that opens up in Explorer) if the value is different.

  • Netweaver trials on the store aren't sending links

    Hello,
    The Netweaver trials(7.02, 7.03) from store.sap.com aren't sending links via email at this time.
    We are aware of the problem and have mentioned it to the relevant departments. Keep an eye on this page to see when this known issue has been resolved.
    There are cloud trials of newer versions that are available through AWS, information on which can be found in the developer section of SCN.
    Sincerely,
    Gabriel

    I'm hearing netweaver 7.03 can be downloaded from store.sap.com again.
    - edit: now I'm hearing the email isn't going out.

  • I have Yahoo mail. I want to add a hyperlink to emails. Your File tool in top bar has Send Link, but nothing happens. Yahoo says to use Format, but not there.

    As in someone's previous question, I used to be able to add a hyperlink from a website. On Yahoo help, they say to click the hyperlink button on the formatting toolbar. There is no formatting toolbar. On your top toolbar, under File, there is a Send Link. When I click on this, nothing happens. On the top toolbar, under Edit, the Copy, Cut and Paste are grayed out. Please let me know how I can add a hyperlink to my email. I tried to add one from an Amazon page, but did not see anything on the page to make it possible. Thanks in advance.

    First thing...you made a mistake
    import javax.swing.JScrollPane;
    import javax.swing.JScrollBar;
    import javax.swing.*;When you import javax.swing.*; You automatically
    import JScrollPane & JScrollBar class, there's no
    need for you to re import again...
    That is not always a mistake. There are cases where it makes sense to do both (i.e., to import both '*' and a specific class name from that package at the same time). I believe the common example is:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.util.List;Now you can use "List" as a short name for "java.util.List", but must use "java.awt.List" in full for "java.awt.List" objects. If you just did:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.util.*;Then you couldn't use List as a short name for anything--because it is ambiguous. You'd have to use both "java.awt.List" and "java.util.List" spelled out in full.
    Or, if you did:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.awt.List; // NOTE CHANGEThen "List" is short for "java.awt.List", and you must use "java.util.List" in full for "java.awt.List" objects.

  • When i send a link in email the person who recieves it can't open it .

    Hi everybody - I seem to have a problem sending links in my emails . In ie9 there's no problem when i paste the link it appears in a blueish or purpleish color . No one ever has a problem opening it . When in firefox , I paste the link and it appears in black . When i send it no one can open it . Can anyone help me with this ?

    Just above the textarea that you use to enter the message text on the "Compose New Mail page" there is usually a button bar with buttons to add text formatting like Bold and Italic.<br />
    That toolbar may also have a button to turn a text link into a clickable hyperlink (look for a chain like button).<br />
    You can select the text and click that button to turn the link into a clickable hyperlink.<br />
    If you can't find the button then hover them all to check the tooltip of each (e.g. Insert hyperlink).

    I assume you have tried toggling the setting in Firefox between Outlook and, say, Gmail:
    orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Applications
    In the search box, type or paste '''mailto''' and pause for the list to filter.
    Change the setting and OK to save it, then return to the dialog, change back, and OK again.
    You also might want to toggle the setting at the OS level between Microsoft Outlook and the native Windows Mail client in a similar fashion. In Windows XP you could use IE's Options dialog, Programs tab, for this, but I'm not sure in Windows 7.
    Since one possibility is a problem in your Firefox settings (including the possibility of interfering add-ons), and another is a problem at the Windows level (e.g., Registry settings), it would be useful to try to identify which one it is. One quick way to distinguish is to create a new Firefox profile. It will start up with all factory settings. You can switch back to your existing profile after testing.
    First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
    After closing Firefox, start up again in the Profile Manager as described in this article: [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles Managing profiles].
    With the new profile, can Firefox successfully create a message in Outlook?
