Sending a broadcast message to all the systems in the LAN

Hi,
I am having a standalone java application [client/server]. My application server is running on some system in the LAN.
How can i identify that server ip in my client program?
Is there any possibility for sending broadcast messages to all the other systems on a specific port?

Wine, were you charging over the USB Connection or AC Power? We've found in our organization that at times not enough power is generated over USB to recharge it in situations like this...I quote from the email of a fellow technician that i just received today...
I’ve had a couple of users up here bring their iPhones to me so dead that the phone was unresponsive, no matter what we did. One thing that many people do not realize is that the iPhone (iOS devices in general) have power management in them. The power management appears to be set up so that the device will not power on at all until the battery is at a certain minimum level. If the user will plug the device into the power adapter, not a USB port on a computer (laptops especially), and leave it for about an hour, maybe longer, the device will come back to life.
The reason I say they have to use the power adapter is because the USB port is not high enough power to bring the charge up fast enough for the battery to come back out of “hibernation”.
Each time I have had the users do the power adapter plug in, and leave it for a couple of hours, the devices have come back to life

Is it possible to write a program/script that will send a broadcast message to all users currently connected to an Instant Messaging server? (including those that are logged-in with the Java IM Client, XMPP client, and/or Convergence) I have looked through all of the documentation and I did not see mention of this anywhere. I am running the following on RHEL5.4:

However it appears Convergence ignores the Alert messages -- although they do show up in the Java IM client and XMPP clients (Pidgin 2.5.5). I've logged a new bug for Convergence:
bug #6906237 - "Java IM client alert messages do not display in Convergence"
That being said the Convergence user did receive an email with the Alert contents.

Open System Preferences > Sound > Sound Effects
Select: Play user interface sound effects
And make sure the Mute box is not selected.
Now open Mail. From the Mail menu bar clik Mail > Preferences then select the General tab.
Make a selection from the: New messages sound pop up menu.

Hi Experts,
We are implementing SAP SRM7.0 with Portal integration.
After logging in when we click on the shop link , it is taking us to the new screen and getting message saying "You are already logged on to the system in the following sessions"
and also providing the details of the user.
This is happening for all the users created in portal.
can someone help me to resolve the issue.it would be really appreaciated.

You can enable multiple login in two ways.
goto SICF and open service.
1.Navigate to default_host->sap->bc->bsp->sap->srm(double click on srm service)
2.Open Error Pages tab and clcik on Configuration button.
3.Check whether check for multiple logon is enabled.

To allow the user to have multiple login in SAP R/3, one have to set the Profile Parameters u201CLogin/disable_multi_gui_loginu201D OR u201CLogin/multi_login_usersu201D.
1. Login/disable_multi_gui_login
Controls whether multiple logins are enabled or disabled. 0 = enable 1 = disable
2. Login/multi_login_users
Here a list [user IDs] can be deposited that would allow users a multiple login even though the multi login is generally disabled. The multiple login information are stored in the table URSR41_MLD.
Note: Select extented administration and clcik display. this is the place to maintain parameters.

All three of our iphones are using the same itunes account but all of the sharing is turned off and I have checked to make sure that each phone is set to only recieve imessages at its own number.

Are you using the same email address for imessages, Go to settings,message, send and recieve, does each phone have the same email? checked?

I tried to send it through gmail and the acct is a POP acct
I'm not concerned about sending to the long address list. I just can't get the email and window that says "cannot send emai using the server..." to go away. The default must be "retry", because although I cannot see the choices at the bottom of the window if I hit return it trys again... and then of course comes back with the very long pop up window that I cannot see the bottom of so I can tell it to quit trying...

Where is the phone number on the iPod?
If you have an iPhone with iOS and use the same ID for Messages and FaceTime as on the iPod the iPhone's phone number will be listed for Messages and FaceTime on the iPod.
If you changed phone numbers on the iPhone, sign out of Messages and FaceTime and then sing back in. Then do the same a little while later on the iPod.

In SDCCN can i configure EARLYWATCHALERT session with targethost as SDCC_OSS
now this has been only for production system . can this be done to all the systems in the landscape ?

As per me i could say the EWAlert only be configured for your production system rather
than the other systems(Dev/QA) existing in your ladscape.
If you are thinking to schedule this Alert for other products(BI/EP/XI) or for other SIDs,
then yes...please go ahead.
Why i am saying we can only schedule the EWAlert for production system, coz the
the EarlyWatch report uses the SDCC_OSS RFC, which is a copy of the SAPOSS connection. And the target destination refers to SAP's system where one copy of your
weekly shceduled EWAlert report goes to SAP end as well.
Please inform me incase any other queries...

All of a sudden I noticed that most of the folders on my computer were no longer using the folder icon, but the generic document icon. I had to manually change back the icon being used by opening Get Info for each folder and copying and pasting the generic folder icon from some folders that remained unchanged. Now whenever I create a New Folder (right click -> "New Folder"), the icon that shows up is the generic document icon (white page with top right corner turned down). And I have to manually change it so it shows up as a folder in Finder or on my desktop. I don't know why or how this switch happened. All of the folders now on my computer look ok, but I need to change the default so when I create a New Folder it uses the correct icon.
I have also Forced Relaunch of my Finder and rebooted the system. I downloaded Candybar but am not sure what will fix anything, so I haven't proceeded.
Anyone know how I can do this? Thanks.

Inside CO02, i go to "go to" then go to "costs" then click on "analysis" one report will come out.
Inside the report, can i know that how the figure in the report come out?
Inside the report for column like plan cost and actual cost. Where the system pull the figure out?
I know the system will pull the material cost out from MM and overhead from costing sheet. But what is the different between plan cost and actual cost? The figure the system pull out will put in plan cost or actual cost?

How the system know the actual period in the Production startup of ML?

Hi experts:
I have a question:
We want to make a prototipe of Material Ledger/Actual Costing.
At first we want to make a copy of all the information of one Client for example until 31.11.2009 to another Client.
I have readed that when you make the Production Startup process of ML, the system transfers inventory quantities, inventory values and prices from material master records to the material ledger data for the current period, the previous period, and the last period of the previous year.
The question is How the system can determinate the actual period??.. Is this based on the MM logistic periods??.
At last if we do the copy of all the existing movements to our client until 31.11.2009 but the MM logistic period was 03/2010, What is the Actual Period for Material Ledger at the moment that I realize the Production startup?.

When you have finished the production startup, the system does the following:
Transaction Data
1. Transfers inventory quantities, inventory values and prices from material master records to the material ledger data for the current period, the previous period, and the last period of the previous year
2.- Calculates the inventory values and prices in the currencies of the material ledger at the current date using the stated exchange rate type
3.- Amends the purchase order histories with the set currencies, using the settings for additional currencies found in Customizing for Financial Accounting
Like you said in your last replay, this process ONLY transfer (Quantities and values related to the inventory??
What happend with the goods movements which have already exists in SAP before you set Valuation areas as Productive in ML??..
