How can I send broadcast message to a Server that I create in Java?
Is there any example ?

e.g Socket client=new Socket ( "localhost",1924);

Sending Broadcast Message freezes BBM

im facing a problem when sending a broadcast mesage the BBM freezes.. it only shows "Sending Broadcast Message..." and i have to reboot my device to be able to use the BBM again.

I think I've been trying.
Your OS release looks up to date, and the File Free is high. Good.
The only thing else I could suggest is to delete your BBM app (options > advanced > Applications) and then reboot the device with a powered on battery pull.
Now, reinstall BBM from www.blackberry.com/bbm

Sending Broadcast message automatically.

Hi All,
     I am using the SAP CRM 5.0 and I have assigned "Internet communication Manager" role to a user in portal. It has enabled the broadcast messaging option for the user. I have also configured the message, priority and duration for the same. And the scroll message is successfully displayed in the WebClient. Now I want to send the messages automatically using the code behind this message sending. I have found the class named CL_CRM_BM_BROADCAST_SUP which is used to send the broadcast message to WebClient.
     But when I am testing/executing the class it is not sending ay message to the WebClient. Please guide me to send message to WebClient using this class.

Hi,
I am having a standalone java application [client/server]. My application server is running on some system in the LAN.
How can i identify that server ip in my client program?
Is there any possibility for sending broadcast messages to all the other systems on a specific port?

Is there any possibility for sending broadcast messages to all the other systems on a specific port?If you have more than one router/hub these will need to be setup to allow this traffic.

Unity Connection 8.5(1) Broadcast Messages

I am wondering if I can send Broadcast Messages to a particular System Distribution lists. I don't want to send the Broadcast Cluster wide but only to a department within the company.
I created a new System Distribution List with 600 subscribers in it, but there is no option to pick it when sending a Broadcast Message.
The reason I want to use Broadcasting is so I can set a start and end time and not allow reply or reply to all as well as not set the MWI.

Unity connection 8.5 broadcast message

I have a unity connection server setup with users on 2 different partitions and search spaces. If I setup a user to be able to send broadcast messages out and they belong to one partition/search space will that broadcast message go out to everyone on one the server or just the mailboxes within that users partition/searchspace?

Broadcast messages get sent to everyone on the server, it is not driven by CSS/parition access.

Your question is quite uncertain. Hope the info below will help you.
You create broadcast messages in IC Manager role under: Managing Operations -> Broadcast Messaging.
Here you create and send broadcast messages.
Additionally you need to maintain broadcast profile in which you declare an organisational unit. Only users from this unit will be available for selection during creation of distribution lists. Also you set expiration period for messages.
You select this profile on Profile Selection tab in Broadcast Messaging.
IC Agents whom the message is addressed can see it in the bottom line of their screen.

How to send a broadcast message to public distribution list?

I set up a Pulic distribution list in Unity system, but what extension number should I dial to send a publick distribution list? What is the public distribution list number?

Log to Unity (press the Messages button and type your password). It will prompt you what is the button that you need to press to send a message (by default is 2), press that number, now it will prompt you to spell the name of the person or the distribution list. You can press ## (# key twice) to change to enter the extension.
If you go to the SAWEB and search for your Distribution List you will see that you can add and extension.
So by following the above instruction you can send a message by spelling the name of the DL or entering the extension of the DL.

Can I send a message to multiple users at once?

My company has an internal Jabber/XMPP server that we use to communicate as a group. Up until recently, I've been using a Jabber client called Psi (http://psi-im.org/) to connect to our Jabber server and do messaging. However, I recently decided to give Messages a try, since it includes support for the Jabber protocol. It is working great, except for one feature that I can't seem to find. With Psi, I was able to right-click on the heading of a buddy group and choose to send a message to all of the members. With Messages in Yosemite, I get an option to "Send instant message to members," but all that does is pull up my messages window with a random contact from the group selected. I also don't want to start a group chat, I just want to send a broadcast message to the group. Maybe this is just a distinction that Messages doesn't make, but with Psi there was a distinct difference between a message (just a single message, in its own window, sent from one person to one or more other people) and a chat (an ongoing conversation with one or more people, all in the same window).
Right now when I want to send one of these messages, I quit the Messages app, start Psi, send the broadcast message, quit Psi, and start Messages back up again. I'd like to be able to just use Messages.
Any thoughts?

The Yahoo add-on bits in Messages are not worth the code they are written on.
When it was muted to be coming (pre iChat 6) we thought it would be added the same way and Jabber was in iChat 3 (later amended to allow the Google Name issue to be circumvented by having A Google Entry) including Group Chats, Direct IM, Video Chats and Audio Chat if only to other iChat/Messages users.
However this is not the case and it only does 1-1 text chats and can only use actual Yahoo IDs

Sending a message to only one peer after NetGroup receive

Hi Folks,
I'm learning stratus and NetGroup to develop a P2P application that shares xml file between thousands of users.
After a search by string over peers the user will receive xml files containing the searched string.
So, see How I think it will work:
1- An initial peer do a search by string over a NetGroup
2 - A second peer receive that broadcasted message from initial peer
3 - The second peer will verify if it has one or more xml files containing that message (search string)
4 - If the second peer find one ore more xml files, a NetStream will be created to send the xml files to the peer who made the search
5 - The initial peer will receive the xml files from all the peers who have xml files containing the search string.
As you can see there are broadcast and Unicast communication (correct me if i'm wrong).
So, using Stratus and NetGroup is necessary to create a NetStream to send a unicast message as I did above ?

NetStream is the most direct/efficient way to send data directly from one peer to another, without involving any intermediaries. your approach seems sound.

Cant Broadcast message to all users from sm02

we have a Nw04s machine with Windows 2003OS installed on it and i am not able to send the message from Sm02.
When i open the tcode sm02 and whn i click create message i can see "system message text server name,client ,language then i create and click ok it is taking me to Sbwp tcode where i have to give the addresses.
I am able to send only by giving userid.Is there any way i can broadcast the message to all the users in the R/3.

SM02 is a standard transaction to create messages for all users. I have tried it on a NW04s on win2003 and it works fine.
You need to check your authorizations or get someone from Basis team to show you how its done.

Broadcast Message to All Phones

I am wanting to develop a solution to send a message to all IP phones or a selection of IP Phones.
I do not want to use a 3rd party product - I want to write the code myself in c#
I have downloaded the SDK and have the Push2Phone ASP scripts working.
I can send text from a C# web application to a particular IP Address by using the Execute Method.
Is using the Push2Phone example the only method to send to multiple phones?
Create a queue and send to each IP address one after the other an execute command?
Is there a broadcast method to send to all phones? How do you configure this?
The PushToPhone uses the execute method. Is this the correct method one would use to send to 200 phones?
Where is the best documentation for doing what I want. I have done a lot of searching but since I am new to this technology I keep finding information that is not quite relevant to my task. ( a url please ).
I hope someone can answer one or more of my questions.

Yes, that's the way to go. Well, I'd use either a threadpool and send a bunch of requests simultaneously (with authentication, it can take a while before you get a response).
Also keep in mind to use your own authentication page to reduce the load on your CCM and speed up the process.
There is no broadcast message so you have to get all devices via DeviceListX.asp (CCM 3/4.x) or AXL Serviceability (CCM 5.x)

Is it possible to write a program/script that will send a broadcast message to all users currently connected to an Instant Messaging server? (including those that are logged-in with the Java IM Client, XMPP client, and/or Convergence) I have looked through all of the documentation and I did not see mention of this anywhere. I am running the following on RHEL5.4:

However it appears Convergence ignores the Alert messages -- although they do show up in the Java IM client and XMPP clients (Pidgin 2.5.5). I've logged a new bug for Convergence:
bug #6906237 - "Java IM client alert messages do not display in Convergence"
That being said the Convergence user did receive an email with the Alert contents.

We can send a mesage to all the users using <b>SM02</b> T-code.
Just login to SM02. Here press create button(ctrl+f10) ( or)<b>goto->create</b>. Here you will get a popup.
System message text in this field what message you want to post.
Server: give server name.
Client:give client name.
Lang.:give what lang. who want to type.
Expires on,delete on dates you have to specify when this message can be deleted.
