Hi,
1. How the cache notifications are sent to the backend ABAP?
2. What is the role of INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI ( /dir/CacheRefresh )?
3. If I need to require cache notifications to be sent from PI (ABAP 7.1) to ECC (ABAP 7.0), do i need to have INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI in ECC?

Just want to be clear about one thing. If INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI stores the cache updates, and I need to send these updates to ECC ( which is on a seperate AS ), ideally I should be having the RFC destination in ECC as well.
My understanding was if the RFC destination exist in PI, it will send cache notifications to the ABAP of PI. If we need to send cache notifications to some other ABAP system in the landscape, we need to have the RFC destination there as well. Please correct me if I am wrong.

So I guess you know this, but just in case here are installations you need to use for Adobe Document Services and composite forms in Web Dynpro Applications:
·        A local installation of Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.1.

To install the Adobe LiveCycle Designer, use the file SapAldSetup.exe from the downloaded archive 50083078_1.ZIP.
·        A local installation of Adobe Reader 7.0 or higher or a full version of Adobe Acrobat 7.0.
You can download Adobe Reader for free from the Adobe web site.
Depending on your requirements, you may also need to configure specific composite form properties.
Apart from that, if you have a ready composite form created previously, you can upload it by checking the Field-Based Template checkbox in the beginning of the wizard for creating composite form.Thus, the wizard does not make you create a new one from scratch, but rather upload your own.

Send a notification to the proxy when he is removed as proxy

We have a requirement to send a notification to the proxy when he is removed as proxy.
There is one out of box notification to the proxy when assigned. But could not figure out an option to send a notification when proxy is removed.
Is there a way?

yes, there is a OOTB system property called XL.ProxyNotificationTemplate to tell user that he is a proxy. But as far as I know there is no notification to 'proxy removed' .
1-You can create a system property and add SQL's into it. Please check this link I replied before: Re: Exception while setting security question
2-You can create a trigger into database (proxy table=PXD) that start some procedures(including e-mail notification) if proxy user is removed.

Error Sending a notification from the Workflow

We are having the following error when we are trying to send a notification to the user.
The is just a FYI notification so the workflow process is showing Completed with Errors.
Then Error Message has the following text.

Send email notification when the baseline and actual values are different in project

I am working with MS Project 2013 and Project Server 2013.
I need to the send email notification to the program manager (or to a user) whenever the project manager changes the task finish date for a task. Comparison should happen with the baseline finish and the difference needs to be updated to the Program Manager
over mail.
How to configure/customize email notification for changes in MPP.
Please suggest.

If you are not having developer skills it will be complicated for you.
You need to create event handler by code, as in the below link:

Auto provisioning users and send email notification to the users

I currently have CUCM 10.5 setup to auto register phones and I use Cisco prime provisioning 10.5 to auto provision the users.
Self provisioning is setup and users can call the IVR number enter the self service ID, which is their DN.
what I would like to do is send an email notifying the end user of their setup and how to use their telephony device Example (Self-service ID: 8888, auth code: 3333) is this possible from Prime Provisioning or CUCM.

Wishful thinking I guess. It would have been seamless if they added that form of email notification to end users when auto provisioning. Anyways to get around that I used MS word mail merge and used the same spread sheet I used to batch provision the users to send the Self-service ID to the email contacts.

The requirement is whenever the assigned to Field is changed to someone, the assigned to person should get an email notification saying that the item has been assigned to you.
I created a sharepoint designer List Workflow to send an email notification, below are the steps,
1. Log workflow to the workflow history
2. then Wait for Assigned to be not empty
3. then Email currentItem:AssignedTo
4.then stop the workflow
But the thing is whenever any field is changed in the particular item this email triggers, I want to send email only when Assigned to Field is changed and not any other field. how do i write the condition to check only if the assigned to field is changed
or not and and how i trigger the email.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to send email via workflow while the assigned to field value changed.
We can create a helper field
which will store the previous value of the Assigned To, then you can compare the current value with previous value of assigned to and send an email accordingly.
I have made a simple workflow demo below, you can refer to it.
I have created a new single line of text type field AssignedPerson in the list, then use the workflow below to achieve your scenario.

CACHE NOTIFICATIONS

Whenever i activate the change list, i could see some errors in the cache notifications(Environment->Cache Notifications).
The errors are
1) Unable to contact Adapter Engine "af.mtx.bw" that is affected by the data changes
2)http connection to "http://bw:8200/CPACache/invalidate" returns the status code "401" in response
How do i resolve this?
I have plain J2SE Adapter Engine installed on my m/c. In my Adapter Configuration, i have only one entry under the Adapter Engine Drop down box(instance is Integration Server). Is it correct or should i get my decentral adapter engine in that drop down box?
My configuration changes are not getting reflected in the SXI_CACHE tcode.For ex. i have a sender agreement in my ID. But its not present under the SXI_CACHE TCODE.similarly communication channel is missing in XI Runtime Cache.

MY SLD is connected to the AE. Bcoz i could see my AE Entries in the sld and my SLDACCESSOR is working properly in AE.
When i try to refresh the cache in Integration Directory for the cache instance CENTRAL INTEGRATION SERVER, i am getting a message that
"http connection to "http://bwxi:8200/CPACache/invalidate" returns the status code "401" in response"
Sometimes i am getting a message saying that SAP_XIADAPTER FRAMEWORK is not found in SLD.
what do i need to do?

Problem with Notification update from backend (local notif)

Hi all
I created a Local notification and uploaded the same to the server. I found the same notification in the backend and made some changes to it and then tried to sync the data to the MAM application but I got the following error message
Exception while proccessing method SMARTSYNC : java.lang.RuntimeException: Error while Smart Sync inbound processing: java.lang.IllegalStateException: State NEW_INSYNC does not allow this transition: srvMod

Hi Gopi,
Looks like a problem in the middleware. Can you check in merep_mon what the server is sending to the client for that particular notification?
It should ideally be a success message along with a Replace.
But I fear that it may be sending a modify message. Can you confirm this?
Also the latest SP is SP18 do you have any plans to upgrade?

Notifications to the central Adapter Engine are therefore listed using the technical name of the Adapter Engine. This is usually structured as follows: <b>af.<SAP System ID>.<Name of application server></b></i>
sxi_cache on the abap stack works fine.
My guess is that,
I did not create any SLD entry for the central AE. That could be the problem.
We have all the components on a single server and only one AE. There are no remote AEs.

If you look at RFC821 (Request For Comments memo 821 describes the SMTP specifications), you'll see that the sender and recipient needs to be supplied in the format +<[email protected]>+, e.g. +<[email protected]>+.
I have found that not all SMTP servers are equal in this regard. Some may insist on the brackets around the address, some may not.
You need to confirm the format of the addresses you use in the "+MAIL FROM+" and "+RCPT TO+" commands.. and ensure that these formats are accepted by your SMTP server - and if not, change your code to use an acceptable format.
The easiest way to do this is using telnet - and interacting directly and manually with the server. SMTP is a clear text protocol and easy to use manually. Try it. It is the best way to test SMTP interaction and validate the approach and SMTP commands and arguments used by your code.
