Sending credit card number over ssl

just need to know the best way to send a credit card number to a servlet securely
is it possible to set up an ssl connection with a servlet from a browser and then post a credit card number to that servlet or do you have to have some source code on the client side with an applet or jsp tag
if anyone knows any links explaining how to do the above or some sample code
i'd appreciate it

SSL will work fine. .jsp/servlet/html page over https:// protocol. Submit the <form> using the method=POST. That will "hide" the data in the request. Then process the credit card on the server.

If None is not available - On your computer launch iTunes and click "iTunes Store" in the left navigation pane. Apple support requires my credit card number, cryptogramme, ...

Hi,
I'm very surprised by the apple support called from Belgium. To allow the replacement of a broken device, they asked me by phone my credit card number, the expriation date and the cryptogramme (for a bank waranty, they said).
After that, the man who collected those information by phone can do and buy what he wants after work !!!
He can even give those information to his friends in a few month or in a few years. It's just hacking my financial capabilities.
Why does Apple permit such procedure ? It's really not secure.

The problem with that is if the waiter has a good memory all they need to do is see the number, expiration date, and security code. Or just wait and get it from the companies server.
There is no way to avoid people, whether it be Apple, the bank, the merchant, etc. from getting this information. The only thing using SSL does in this case is encrypt the data while it is being sent to Apple. Once Apple receives it the information is decrypted and available to a number of Apple employees. As I said in my post are Apple employees who see the information after it comes in through the internet inherenty more trustful than people who take the information over the phone? Unless someone has tapped your land line there is little more risk that it will be intercepted and if that is a concern use a cell phone.
I've had a credit card replaced twice due to fraud risk. Both times it was after making an in-person purchase at a retail merchant. It was not the cashier it was someone at the central accounting office who made a disk of tens of thousands of credit card information and sold it.

I'd like to change my credit card number, but Adobe site do not allow this.
Support chat redirected me to a chinese adobe page (I'm from Hungary, can't read Chinese..), then told me to call local reseller support instead.
Local reseller support told us that they can't support creative cloud members, they are being dealt with centrally by Adobe.
Back to chat, describing again what I need to a new agent..
Got the same chinese page from him as well first, then got the same "call local reseller" advice again.
After telling the agent that does not work, he gave me a phone number to call: 852 2916 2125, which never answers. And the agent dropped off..
I haven't been so depressed over a customer support for years.
Can somebody please help me out on how to change my credit card number for my Adobe ID?

Ok, found a way: "under the billing section of your subscription within the My Adobe section of Adobe.com after you login with your Adobe ID "
But after updating my info with my new (working) credit card (matercard) it says:
There was a problem in the store. If you wish to complete your purchase immediately, please call 800 0280148.
And this number than answers 'it cannot be accessed'
I'd need this done immediately, so please anyone - any ideas ?!

You cannot use that ID without a credit card. You did not create your account correctly. There is very specific way in which you must create your account if you do not want to use a credit card. If you don't have a credit card, you will have to start all over again.
1. You will have to sign out of that ID before you can create a new one. Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID>Sign out.
2. You cannot use the email address that you used for the first ID that you created. You will need to use another email address now
3. You have to download a free app in order to start the new Apple ID process.

Credit Card number disappears

We have an odd situation for one of our customer
The sales user1 enter the sales order and enter the credit card number under the customer Payment terms. When the user2 copies to an Invoice and drill down to the BP Payment terms the card number disappears and show history shows card number is changed to a lengthy funny characters with user2 as the user name even though user2 has not done anything. Any idea? Any known issues in SAP 8.8 PL14 hot fix 1?
For one BP, the card number itself is changed and history shows the user is user2..the payment might taken from a wrong card number..
In show history -- Difference, what does the green rows stands for?
Has anyone had this problem?

HT2534 in my iphone5 'none' option for credit card is not being appeared. May be because of software upgrade or wot it is really not good as i don't want to share my credit card number.

the 'none' option under payment methods is not being appeared in my iphone 5 as i don't want to share my credit card info. and my id stuck over that point as i am not abble to skip this step and it is a must option to select a credit card type and give a real credit card details. This is really not good.

You have to enter your credit card number and some amount would be debited from your account(60 rs in india)
After registration, You can Go to
1 Settings
2.Itunes&App Store
3.Click on your apple id .
4.Select View Apple ID
5.Slecet Payment Info
And You can find NONE here.
Please select NONE to delete your credit card numbe r from the list
But While registering you cant find NONE, you have to enter the cc number.

Cc keeps asking for new credit card number despite membership cancelled

I have tried different things to address the fact that CC is constantly sending message about my unprocessed payment (I have changed my credit card number) but I have cancelled my membership and they should not be concern with unprocessed payment. Could I talk to a real person? The steps indicated in the website is like a vicious circle bringing me back to this forum, no option for calling or chat. I have spent lots of time trying to cancel now this. Please help.

Payments BC has field called Account Number (CC_NUM), it stores encrypted value in database.
Is there any program to get it from database and decrypt it to send external system?

This may not be a proper answer to your question but it works for your requirement.
Store Credit card number to some other column before encrypting then send that to external system.

Masking credit card number

HI
I have a situation in hand.
The legacy system is sending the credit card number and the security number to XI system which then is passed to R/3 system while creating the orders.
The data is sent to XI through the HTTP post.
What I want to do is to mask the card number as 1234********5678 and the security number as *** . before the data is monitored in SXMB_MONI.
I dont wnat to make the card number avaliable in the monitoring but wnat to paa the exact card number to R/3
If anyone has any idea do let me know

I would suggest you a workaround on this. First while developing your interface you dont need to do anything since you will testing with some test data. But in production and quality you can restrict access to software components, integration scenario, interface and mapping objects aswell.

Credit Card Number

I am contemplating a secure way to transmit credit card numbers in a form. The users of the form have only Adobe Reader and so I'm thinking
a) When the form-filler is finished filling the form, s/he clicks Submit or another button
b) The Submit button then makes the credit card field invisible
c) The form-sender receives the form and clicks Receive or another button to expose the credit card number field which was concealed in (b).
The problem is that anybody who intercepts the file can also click the Receive button to expose the credit card number. The form-sender and filler both have only Adobe Reader. There is no Acrobat or policy server in this scenario. Maybe, I could have them click a particular alphabet in the form title to reveal the credit card number field? Is there a smarter way to transmit the credit card number? Thank you.

This is precisely what I would like to do, but cannot use a form with a submit button because my users are using all versions of Reader. Can you either explain in more detail how I can do this or point me towards resources to learn how?

In fact I gave it by a phone call..

I did exacly the same thing few years ago. Apple sent me the new charger and an envelope with printed address etc to send back the demaged charger, and suggested me the Company to contact for the dispatch (probably it was UPS not sure). I do not remember exactly how it worked, if I was charged the price and they accreditd it back to my card few days after reeceiving the not working charger....
Anyway I remember always was fast and perfect.
Of course if you feel more confortable not giving your card number you may forget the matter: at the end of the day it is only a small amount to buy a new charger, if you feel more safe I would not cost you much mnoney...

My Ipod Touch will not let me sign into my apple account without adding a credit card number

I don't have a credit card, or a gift card; an when I go to download an app I log into my account; but it wont 'Fully' log me in until I press 'review', then it does the whole "Your credit card number is a required field". Thus resulting in me not being able to download my desired app, even though my account is verified on the sight ect. But even still, when I go to save my "billing" information on the sight, my "Credit card number" is STILL a required field..! I don't have a credit card..! Credit Card number entered CRM sales order is not appearing in R3 Sales ord

Hi,
We are entering our Sales orders in CRM which are gtting replicated to SAP R3,In the credit card scenario ,In some sales orders entered in CRM,where the Credit card numer has been entered,In some cases,the card numer is not appearing in R3 Sales order either in the overview screen or Payment card tab,due to ehich most of the times these cards fail authorization .
Kindly let me know as to what could be the reasons as to why the card numer seen in CRM is not appearing in SAP R3,sales order?
