Sending idoc ORDERS to logical system

Hi
Can I send a idoc orders from a logical system to another? I have two seperate servers and want to be able to trace a order created in the other system.
The scenario is: A purcaser creates a ordere in client 200 and sends a idoc to client 250, the users in client 250 will be able to se the order even if the communication link between the systems is down.
Any ideas?
Best Regards,
Morten

If you just want to send delivery information use output type LAVA. This will need including in the shipping output determination.

  • Send idoc to external sap system

    hi all,
is it possible to send IDoc to a sap system which is not in the same network with XI? If yes, is there any special points that should be taken care?

    HI Hui
It is possible. But it is IDOC to IDOC Scenario.
Check these below SAP contribution docs on Idoc-Idoc scenario:

  • Want to replicate Payext  IDocs and send them to another logical system

    Hi all
we are generating payext Idocs to a bank partner profile using rffoedi1 program. Our requirement is to replicate the same payext IDoc and send to another logical system using a different partner profile.
I have a rough idea of sucking data from EDID4 table....
Can any one let me know how the code looks like If we have to create same IDocs again with different control record with same kind of data?
can some one throw their ideas of doing this with less development work?
    Thanks
    Steve

    Try this way:-->
1.Using fm IDOC_READ_COMPLETELY get complete data of IDoc you want to send, then change the Header record (EDIDC) with new partner profile, port and other values
    2. Pass these values to fm MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE.
(pl remember to clear EDIDS values before calling above said fm)
This will send your IDoc to new destination

  • Easy way to send every possible IDoc to a Logical System

    Hi all,
With the help of the SAP Java Connector I'm trying to create an application that receives (and further processes) IDocs. The idea is then to walk through a process in SAP, e.g. Procure to Pay (PR, PR approval, Request for quotation, PO,...), and to receive an IDoc after each step of the process.
is there an easy way to enable the sending of all possible IDocs to a specific external Logical System (the JCo). This way the JCo can listen, identify and handle incoming IDocs, and thus reconstruct the process that was executed in SAP with the help of the IDocs.
I can already send some IDocs to my Java Connector, but setting this up for each action or process seems quite a lot of work.
    Hope it's clear.
    Cheers,
    David

    Hi,
Understand the query to establish the interface so as to send the IDocs to specific LS (Logical System) which will be connected to external system through JCo.
For Procure to Pay process, external documents (PO,Contract for e.g.) can be sent to external system through output determination process wherein settings can be made to send the output immediately (as soon as document is saved) and output conditions can be maintained per logical system (by maintaining LS as one of the partners) this will also reduce the condition records.
Further it can be achieved to deliver the output to specified folder per document/process wherein Jco will handle further process. In other words create no.of folders per process/document whichever best suits.

    Kiran

  • Sending IDoc from Non-SAP system to XI

    Dear all,
We have a non sap system which needs to send IDoc to XI, Please could you answer my following four questions
    1. What should be the values for the following fields in the IDoc control record
    e.g. RCVPRN = <logical system name of XI>
    SNDPOR
    SNDPRT
    SNDPRN
    RCVPRT
    RCVPOR
    2. How does XI decide which port(idx1) to be used when it receives an idoc
    3. The third party system is a non sap one, so it does not have a client no, so I would assume, I need to use another SAP system as a meta data provider, in that case, how would i tell XI to use that port when it receives IDocs from the non-SAP system ?
    4. In what step does XI use the logical system name of the Business system(in SLD)?
    Thanks in advance
    cheers

    Hi
there is bit wrong interpretation of the statement
If the sender system is a non-SAP system, the sender service is identified from the logical system name of the sender port.
If the sender system is nonSAP it indicates taht the data is coming to XI from non sap systems such as file, database, webservice etc. to XI and from XI it will pass to sap as IDOC inbound.
For this you need to create the logical system in SAP (receiver) and pass on that value to IDOC header.
You could maintain it in the Business service used for Sender system (nonSAP). here it will be available in the tabs ---> History.
note : IDOC is the concept of data container in SAP, you will not be able to have the IDOCs in non sap systems...
    Thanks

  • Downloading sales order to logical system

    Hi all,
Can anyone tell me, when i create a sale order(VA01) how can i download it to the logical system & need to convert it into XML format as message.
    Regards

    Hi
My idea is to use the messages loaded in the order in according to its status.
U can see these messages by trx NACE (just as I said to you before).
These messages can create different objects like prints and idocs, but you can use it to create your file too.
So you want to create it as soon as the order is created, so I believe you need a message for Order Confermation.
Now this kind of message usually trigger the print but u can update the program (RVADOR01) in according to produce a file.

  • How to send IDOC's to external systems

    Hi everybody,
I'd like to get information of how I can send one IDOC to an external system.
I have to send data about access control and e-learning from R/3 to external system,  I think an IDOC is the perfect way to do it, but I don't know all the steps involved.
Could anyone explain me or give some document or link in with I could see all the steps  from the selection of the IDOC (What to do if the idoc doesn't fit exactly) until the IDOC is out of the r/3 system, how to configure the ALE, etc
    Thank you very much.

    This document might be helpful:
    http://www.angeli.biz/www5/books/IDocBook/IDocBook.pdf
It's a bit outdated but most of the info is still actual. If you anticipate a lot of ALE/IDoc projects, I suggest getting this book: http://www.amazon.com/IDoc-Technologies-Prima-Techs-Book/dp/0761534318/sr=8-1/qid=1170864257/ref=sr_1_1/103-6659593-2860615?ie=UTF8&s=books
It is out of print right now but I've heard that more copies are coming out this year. This is the most comprehensive book available on the market at this time.

  • Howto Send IDOC to third-party system. programID can not be registered.

    Hi, guys.
I want to post IDOC to a third-party system through XI. And for sure, the third-party system can receive IDOC.
In the receiver communication channel, I would fill in the RFC Destination with a RFC connection defined in SM59.
In SM59, it is a tcp/ip connection and in technical settings the activation type is Registered Server Program. I name the Program ID randomly with 'a.a'. In Gateway Options, I fill the host with XI server and service with sapgw01.
Then I test the connection, the result is program a.a not registered on XI server.
My question is how to register the progam when I want to use this RFC to send IDOC to the third-party system. And how the RFC know which system he would connect. I don't find anyplace with the connection information such as IP or something like this.

    Sergio Cipolla
Thank you for your material. I have read the doc you refered.
Almost I understand the process, there is one part.
I should register the program ID in saprfc.ini file with the following content:
    DEST=FROMXI
    TYPE=R
    GWHOST=saphost
    GWSERV=sapgateway
    PROGID=a.a
Here I am wondering the fiield "DEST" represent for. Does it mean the hostname of the target external system?
And Here is the UNIX system, what is the path location of the file saprfc.ini or where I should put this file to be effective.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Sending idoc from one r3 system to another r3 system

    Hi
I want to send the idoc from system A to system B only (not from B to A). Then is it need ports in both the systems or only in one system ?? If it is on one system..... on which system port is needed ?? (A or B) ?? similarly RFC destinations also......whether it needs one or two ??
    thanks

    Hi seshu,
thanks for your reply !! once you create the rfc destination and after that if you create the port for that rfc destination............whether port will be created for the source system side or target system side. ??

    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.

  • How to define a logical system in BD21 (RBDMIDOC)

    Hi,
We have several logical systems in our distribution model (BD64/WE20) liked to CREMAS message. One other them is the X server, for instance.
When run BD14, it´s ok, because we can set the target system (X server in this case).
However, when we work with change pointers, the BD21 doesn´t have a target system field and it´s based on distribution model. So, it sends IDOCs to
all logical system. But we want to send to only X server.
Does anybody know how to define a target system in this case?

  • Sending IDoc to Logical System

    Hi All,
Foremost thing before i post my query is that am an ABAP Developer.
Now the Query is, we have scenario where in we need to send the Sales order/Delivery when it is created to a logical system( an external sytem ). I have created a new message condition type which has the transmission medium as 6 ( EDI ) and the partner to be of type LS (Logical Sytem). I have also defined the partner profile of the logical system with this message condition type. But the problem is when am issuing an output am not able to see my logical system as on of the options as a partner, the options what i have are the Ship to Party, Sold to Party and so on from the sales document.
I need to know how can issue and idoc to a logical system instead of a ship to party or a sold to party. Is there anything that am missing while creating the message condition type ?

  • Unable to convert the sender service PPG to an ALE logical system

    Hello all,
maybe anybody can help or give me further information.
I have set up a scenario  to send IDOC from a business system  ( ERP )  to a business service ( EXT ).
Receiver is a linux system so I use the FTP-FILE adapter as communication channel.
The send-process is so far ok.
    Here my tests:
    1)  exclude the specific IDOC  in  IDXNOALE table  (  means no technical acknowledgment for this IDOC )
         result :
         a)  message in SXMB_MONI:   status-flag: processed,   acknowledgment-flag:  not in use
         b)  message in RWB-Monitor:  Sender ERP  -->   Receiver EXT   ok
    2) But I would like to have a system status.....   here  now the problem
add specific IDOC into IDXNOALE table   ( for request acknowledgments )
        result:
        a)  message in SXMB_MONI:  status-flag: processed,   acknowledgment-flag:   acknowledgment not possible
-->  error message:  unable to convert the sender service EXT to an ALE logical system
        b)  message in RWB-Monitor:  there are now two message,
first:        Sender ERP  -->   Receiver EXT   =   ok
second:   Sender EXT --->   Receiver ERP  =   system error
                             Receiver-Interface is :  http/ww.ahlstrom.com/EXT/ MI_IN
       3)  furhter tests:
            a)  change FTP apdapter channel  ( put some wrong settings )
message in SXMB_MONI:   status-flag: processed,   acknowledgment-flag:   contains system errors
message in RWB-Monitor  3 messages  (  one ok,  and two error messages )
             b)  changed only the receiver communication channel to HTTP  ( other extisting scenario )
then the acknowledgment works fine wihout errors.
                  I'm  wondering, but here Receiver-Interface  is:   http://sap.com/xi/xI/Message/30/Acknowledgment
Summary:  The process works,  but strange:
message in SXMB_MONI: unable to convert the sender service EXT to an ALE logical system
                      message in RWB:  system error
                      No problems with HTTP adapter
    Regards,
    Reinhard Doeker

    Hi,
Addition to the above said by Udo...
for routing the ack back to the sender system you need to create communication channel of type idoc with name as Ack.....

  • Send IDoc from External System to SAP system

    Hi Folks,
I have a requirement to send IDocs from an external system to the SAp system. Basically the external system is a subsystem which is able to send & receive idocs. The external system is currently able to send idocs to SAP system through the ALE layer but now we have to replace it by PI. Now the external system has to send teh IDocs to the SAP ECC system through the SAP PI 7.0.
Kindly let me knowq how I can achieve it.
    Regards,
      Santosh

    Hi Satish,
    You can achieve this requirement
1)If your external system going to support web service cals then send IDoc from External system as a web service, in PI use sender side SOAP and receiver side IDoc receiver channel  to  send IDoc.
    or
2)Use proxy program ,implement the same ALE logic in PI.
      or
3)Copy the Extenal IDoc message in to file folder as XML,then use file adapter to pick up this message and send it SAP using IDoc.
