Sending mails while disconnected from network

Hi All,
We have a Desktop Application in which we will send few emails when ever user does some activity.We are using a open rely mail server at our side and configured the same in this application to send those mails. As this is a desktop application user may not be connected to internet all the time that he uses the application.All the users are configured to their outlook to use the mailing services.
Now we have requirement that we need to send the emails even when the user is disconnected from network. As a java programmer i know that it's not possible to send the mails if the smtp host is not reachable. I am thinking of an alternative like some how if we can QUEUE the mail into the users outbox of his outlook when user is disconnected. So that when user is connected to internet all the mails will be delivered with out a fail.
But I am not sure how to do this. Please help me if we can do this or any other alternative.

It's possible. It's only software, after all. But you're going to have to
do most of the work yourself.
The simplest solution would be to just run a mail server on the same
machine as the JavaMail application, and let the mail server do the work
of queuing the message and retrying it when necessary.
If you don't want to run a mail server, you can build similar functionality
into your application. Save the messages using Message.writeTo when
you can't send them. Arrange to processed the saved messages at
the appropriate times. Read them back in and send them.

How can i send mail while saving VA02.
The mail address i have to pick from custom table based on plant.
Just for the trial we used : output type :KRML
Application : V1
Transaction medium :7.
and the program RSNASTSO routine SAPOFFICE_AUFRUF_VX is attached in the nace.
The same output type is attached in va02.If we use this output type with this medium , it is asking us mail partner
address also in the VA02.
but we have to get the mail partner from custom table.
And with this output type , the program attched in the NACE (RSNASTSO) IS NOT GETTING triggered.
But the mail is being sent to the mail partner which i mentioned in the VA02 Communication method.
How can i solve this.
Finally my requirement is i have to send a mail to exter id which is maintained in the custom table while saving VA02.

Hi,
We had set a output type in NACE. and that output type we have in the VA02 transaction also.
But While saving the transaction it is not going through the program mentioned in the NACE for that output type.
But mail is sent to the SAP Inbox or official id .
how that mail is gone i am not understanding.
How can we do to go through the program mentioned in NACE while saving the VA02.
The mail body coming with text " sales order is blocked" sopme thing like this.
This same mail i have to sent to the mail id maintained in Custom table plant wise.

Getting "Error in sieve filter" message with each incoming mail and cannot recieve or send mail to or from iCloud account apart from Apple emails!! Please help!

Since approx 7am GMT I've been getting "Error in sieve filter" message with each incoming mail, worse though, since about 12 noon I cannot recieve or send mail to or from my iCloud account apart from I've been getting emails from Apple (ie I've just received a welcome one from Apple Support Communities...)!! I've had this account for years, never had a problem - it can't be the OSX Mail server because the problem is the same when I log directly into iCloud. I've tried sending emails from my Hotmail account to my iCloud account (a .mac) and just get undeliverable messages back. I'm really in the s**t now at work. : ( I just set up a Smart TV yesterday with a wireless dongle - that's the only thing I've done out of the ordinary. I've spoken to Sky who are my ISP and they say all's fine with them (although the router kept kicking my off the internet this morning which was strange...). Router seems fine now though. I'm really hoping someone here can help!!

Iam unable to send mails to outlook from sap system through work flow .Actually we r able to send mails from sap inbox to outlook successfully.But when trying with workflow we r not able to send.Please guide me that is there any configurations required from BASIS side for work flow.Actually we configured everything like default domain .

Hello,
Actually i checked the mail ID for WF-BATCH using su01 .But i didnt find any mail ID for WF-BATCH then i added the email address of the user.Then we tried sending mail it was successfull.
But later i removed the email address what i entered in WF-BATCH user .Even after removing the email address also iam able to send the mails through workflow.
So iam confused whether it needs an mail address or not.But now we are able to send a mail to outlook through work flow but not able to send mails to GMAILor yahoo.For that we need to do any settings.
ABAPer is sending mails through work flow.

First, open Terminal in your Utilities folder and paste this into the prompt line:
sudo update_dyld_shared_cache
Press RETURN. You will be prompted to enter your admin password which will not be echoed to the screen. Press RETURN again.
Next, boot the computer into Safe Mode.
Next, do the following:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

You can use Function module 'SO_OBJECT_SEND' from your BO Method.
For this Function module to work Email configuration should be done for
external addresses..Please check with your Basis team for necessary config.

From a webdynpro application, the user will upload any files through the File upload ui element.These uploaded files has to go as an attachment in the mail which is being send to a particular ID ,when the user clicks the submit button in the form.

1) Whenever there is a change in the Address the change has to be notified to HR Business partner (HRBP) and Manager (MGR)
   a) The mail has to be sent to the Extermail id.
   b) OR it has to be sent to the SAPID (Inbox)
2) These mail ID /SAPID will be taken from the INFOTYPE PA0105, where two custom fields will carry this Mail / SAPIDs
3) Sending mail To external mail id is been done using the Function module in the rule (Inside the function module i have written a program which will collect the mail id from PA0105 and send mails)
4) Huv can i send mail to SAPINBOX from there if i have SAPID instread of external mail IDs.

Can receive but not send mail while traveling

Hello:
wondering if there is a solution to this recurring problem. My email address is through my website, via my cable service, and I read it using Mail without a problem. However, when I'm traveling and using internet service other than my home, I can read my mail through Mail - but not send it. When I attempt to mail from the Mail window, it starts to send from my Outbox, and then fails, and delivers the message: "Cannot send using the server smtp [cable service name].net Use the popup menu below to try a different outgoing mail server."
I can successfully send if I log onto my mail on my website, but it's more steps. Is there a solution to this, or is this just the nature of using outside networks?

So can I just change the port number in my Mail>Pref>Accounts>Advanced pane, and be able to mail while traveling? Or does that create some kind of conflict with my current mail/cable provider settings? Port is currently set to 110. (It does say "check with your sysadmin before changing any of these settings". Can't send mail due to local network IP

I bought and installed a new Airport Extreme base station, everything's working so far with 2 wireless computers connecting online and an ethernet connection as well. The problem is with sending mail via entourage, the error message is "Entourage cannot find the server. Verify the server information is entered correctly in the Account Settings, and that your DNS settings in the Network pane of System Preferences are correct."
Those DNS settings show an ip of 10.1.1.2 subnet 255.255.255.0 while a whatsmyipaddress.com search shows an ip of 70.66.xx.xx

Sometimes a system power cycle will get things straightened out.
If you haven't done this yet, power down everything. Then, power up the modem first and let it run 2-3 minutes, then power up the Extreme for 2-3 minutes, then your computers.
It's also possible that your ISP detected a change on your account and automatically blocked the outgoing port to prevent spam, etc. Check with your ISP on this.

Sending Mail to Outlook from workflow approval

A standard workflow is trigering in when we click on FOR APPROVAL button in IMA11 (Appropriation Request in IM Module).
I need to send send mail to OUTLOOK with workitem for approve directly from the OUTLOOK. Is it possible.
Suppose , we have 5 approval levels.
By standard workflow , If the 2nd person approve the request , work item is going to the 3rd person SAP Inbox.
I also need, If the 2nd person approve the request , need to send a mail to the 1st person also.
How can I get this?

In SBWP transaction goto setting->office settings-Automatic forwarding-create new---give mail id in forward to and select external address.
In SWDD use send mail.
Recipient type Organizational object
User Name_of_the_user
Also from insert expression you can enter work item id.
Also while creating above use using SU01 enter e-mail address which you have entered in forward to.

Application 11i doesn't run if disconnected from network

I've installed Oracle Applications 11i (11.5.10.2) on Windows Server 2003 on the laptop. It works fine while the laptop is connected to network but does not run if laptop is disconnected from the network. Could anybody tell workaround? Thank you!

You must use a dummy network adapter called loop back adapter and configure ur ip on it,Remember with this u can only acess the apps on the local system nobody can connect from network.

Explorer stalls when trying to save while disconnected from VPN

I use a VPN to access work files at home with a mapped network drive. Because it limits bandwidth, I keep it disconnected most of the time. However,
anytime the VPN is disconnected and I try to save a file in Office, or attach a file on Windows Mail, it freezes explorer until I reconnect the VPN even if the last save spot wasn't on the mapped network drive. For whatever reason, since it is a recent save
location, Windows can't function properly until I'm reconnected to the drive even if I don't intend to save to it. Is there a way to disable windows mail and word from trying to find the disconnected mapped drive and freezing up until I reconnect? It is extremely
inconvenient to have to reconnect to the VPN anytime I need to use Word or attach a file to an email.

First, I have tested following things.
Use process monitor to check the process when saving word file. Noticed that when open the browser explorer, my mapped the drive was explored.
Considering that this issue can be caused if the explorer.exe hang on browsing the mapped network drive.
Please Download the process monitor to capture the system events during repro this issue, filter out the winword.exe and navigate the Network Activity, and see if there is any failure.

Also, check the event log and post back the explorer.exe hang event.
For further troubleshooting, we need you help to create the explorer.exe hang dump files:
First enable app crash dump collection by copying following words into notepad, saving it as dump.reg and importing it:
