Sending shut down server message to all oracle Users

Hello Friends,
I want to send message say 'Oracle server is going down..'
to all logged users, How can I do this ?
DBMS_PIPE's are there but they need to be read by every user.
any other way ?

Dears,,,
I'm trying to develop through oracle forms an idea of sending a pop-up message to all connected users.
Example, I need to inform users to quit in 5 minutes due to a restart to the application server.
I thought about a timer trigger that will check every 5 seconds or 10 seconds a value somewhere in a table. But I don't want to use the timer triggers associated in oracle forms.
Is there any idea ?

Two experiments you can try.
1. Boot in safe mode and see if you can shut down normally. All thise additions won't be running in safe mode so this test would indicate it is one of them causing the problem.
2. Uninstall all the intego VirusBarrier stuff. That's my first guess and the troublemaker.

If you cannot get mail to quit/force quit, you can always remove power from your Mac.
NOTE: removing power is a bad idea, and can result in data loss, but sometimes it is the only thing left to do.
Press and hold the power button for 5 to 10 seconds, and the Mac will power off.
When you power back on, the Mac should reboot.

My db is oracle , the oracle host name is dbserver.
The sap ap server only install the SAP. SAP host name is apserver.
Just now i've altered all the password of the oracle database db user account, Include the account "sys".
(I must alter the password.)
Now the SAP service in the host "apserver" can't boot.
Could you teach me how can i config the "apserver" to make the SAP normal boot ?

I do not think it is possible to send an alert message to all users notifying them that the system will be down. However, you can follow the steps in the following note to redirect the users to a different page or let them a get "The System is now Down for Maintenance" alert message.

Every time I start up my MacPro, I get repeated "Are You Sure You Want to Shut Down Now" messages. It goes away after 15 - 20 Cancels, but obviously shouldn't be happening at all.

I'm using OSX 10.6.7, though cannot swear that the issue is new to the latest update. This popup message occurs so frequently, immediately after startup, that it almost seems that every mouse click triggers it, although again I can't be sure of that. I see that there are others with similar problems but they seem to be Macbook users for the most part -- I am not in contact with the power button when this happens, nor have I spilled beer on any component!

Try resetting the SMC by shutting down and disconnecting the power cable for at least 15 seconds.

But recently my IE(7) either freezes up and eventually kicks back to desktop or sometimes it comes with a message that IE has encounted a problem with flash10e.ocx and must shut down. Shutting down Server from command line in WebLogic 5.1

Cannot shut down the WebLogic Server using the command line:

Are you using 128bit version of the server for wls5.1 ? if so have you
correctly installed the Service pack 8 ?

Get rid of shut down warning/message?

When I go to shut down I get a message saying it'll shut down in one minute. Any way to get rid of this?
