Hi Sabari
In your workflow template use a activity. In the CATs bor create a method use the FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 in the table parameter of receiver-REC_TYPE = 'K' . And give the mobile no. It will send the sms.

• How to send SMS from process chain

Hello,
Kindly tell me is there any way by which i can send SMS to user about process chain results?

Hi,
Right click on the process chain node --> create message. give name and desc
then click on "Maintain Recipient List" and give the entries
Depending on the recipient, there are recipient types you have to choose like Internet address (email ID), fax no, pager no, sap logon name etc. I dont think there is a SMS option explicitly.
Hope this helps!

• Send SMS after wrong password

Hello,
We want to send SMS to user when a wrong password entered via OWA. Is it possible?
Thank you.

Hi,
Agree with Andy. I'm afraid we can't configure it to send SMS to user automatically when users enter a wrong password in OWA.

• Send SMS when Device is Locked.

Hi All,
As Services in android,is there anything similar in Windows phone 8.x?
I want to schedule a task,which can send message when my device is locked from background.Or i want to schedule a task for particular time to send message to my friend on his birthday.
Please help me out,is there any possibility in windows phone to do this.
Thanks in Adv.

Windows Phone does not provide a public API that allows you to send SMS without user interaction and a background task cannot call an API which require user interaction*. (*except for Toast notification.)
However, you could write a resource intensive background task to call some web service that sends an SMS.

Hi,
As I said the Menu Item has disappeared in Messages but you can still get it to send SMS Messages via an AIM Account to a "Buddy" that is the phone number with a leading + 1 for the country code (although it was never rolled out world wide).

The Menu items in the Buddies menu (This is from iChat 5) do not appear unless the computer ius set to be in the United States.
They don't appear at All in Messages (whether the computer is set or not.)

• Problem sending SMS to non iPhone users

Hi!
I have this problem when sending SMS to non iPhone users (BB users and simple phone users) they get the message in chunks... For example if I send one message with 131 characters they get the sms in 5 chunks, pieces...
I deactivated the MMS feature (in case that was that) but the problem persists...
Any ideas?

I exchange SMS on a fairly regular basis with non-iPhone users - with those who are also AT&T subscribers and with those who are not, and this has never been reported to me by any non-iPhone user that I exchange messages with.
Doubtful this is being caused by the iPhone. I suggest calling AT&T technical support to report this and be prepared to answer a question such as which carrier the non-iPhone users are with.

• IPad with wifi only cannot send sms or mms to non apple users. Operating system is 8.1.3

I am using an iPad 2 with iOS 8.1.3. I was told that with this operating system, I would be able to send sms or mms to non-iso users. I was able to do so when I originally upgraded to 8.1.3, but am no longer able to send. The person's name comes up in red and there is an exclamation point.

An iPad cannot natively send an SMS. The SMS text protocol sends its data within the voice channel spectrum of a cell phone voice connection. So, only a cell phone can actually send SMS texts, and only over a cellular voice connection.
If you were doing it before, you must have been using an app. There are apps that will allow you to send SMS texts via cellular providers SMS-email gateways, e.g. as an email to [email protected]

• How do I send SMS only at ALL TIMES with an iPhone to ALL contacts? My family shares iPads under my ID and now my teenager gets all my business texts!

How do I send SMS only at ALL TIMES with an iPhone to ALL contacts? iOS 8 now forces all Apple users to use iMessage all the time with all other iOS users. The option to send as SMS only is subordinate to iMessage in iOS 8 settings and CANNOT be turned off to send only SMS texts to another iOS device! This is a serious privacy issue for all households using iOS and doing family sharing, including over a number of iOS devices, under one member's Apple ID. Why should business conversations or financial conversations between parents be readable on an iPad in the hands of a teenager or a seven year old? The answer is not as simple as "Just don't enable iMessage on your other devices," because amy family that shares the Apple ID password is vulnerable to teenagers particularly hacking into iMessage to monitor, for example, what their parents are saying. If I were Samsung or Google I would hammer this issue immediately and continually until it is fixed by Apple (and I'm not sure why they haven't yet). iMessage is a convenience but it has this serious limitation given the architecture of the Apple universe. Apple simply cannot force all its users to conduct text messaging in arbitrarily limited way, any more than it was able to force all its users to switch from Google Maps. When will Apple fix this?

Trademann wrote:
Fox, that does not work, because then you are blocked from sending any form of message to another Apple user. iMessage MUST be activated to text any other iOS device. And then Apple defaults by ALWAYS using iMessage between iOS devices.There is simply no way, within iOS 8, to send SMS only to another Apple user. Apple has made that impossible.
The SMS-only choice used to be on the same menu level as iMessage, but now it is locked WITHIN iMessage, and is not available as a choice unless iMessage is activated. Then it is limited solely to being used if iMessage is not available.
I'm sure their argument is that they are saving their customers money because iMessage is free, but they are imposing an opportunity cost on 100 percent of their user base in the guise of saving that money. What they are really doing is entrapping faithful users such as myself further within the Apple ecosystem. If I hadn't already spent thousands of dollars on my iTunes library I might consider a Galaxy ... Samsung does not deserve to regain any momentum if they can't figure out how to exploit this.
Turning off iMessage does not prevent you from sending messages to other Apple users. You can send an SMS to any iPhone without your own iMessage turned on, even if it is turned on on their iPhone.
The SMS-only option is: Turn off iMessage. Literally. That's it.

Hallo,
Possible Error Sources
● The database is not running, or the database URL is incorrect
-> The problem can be solved using the Visual Administrator or by a manual modification of the data-sources.xml file
● Wrong user or password parameters
-> The problem can be solved via the Visual Administrator or by a manual modification of the data-sources.xml file.
● Maximum count of simultaneous connections to the database has been reached
-> To increase the maximum number of opened connections and/or the time to wait for a new connection you should change the DataSource properties in the Visual Administrator or manually modify of the data-sources.xml file.
● Problem with connection sharing if J2EE transaction is running
-> The problem is caused while in an active JTA transaction there is an inappropriate attempt to open a second connection. There is either an attempt to get a second connection from an un-shareable non-XA DataSource, or an attempt to get it from another non-XA DataSource.

• Issue while sending SMS from JavaMail in languages like Russian & Japanese

Hi,
We have a requirement to send multi lingual SMS to users mobile number.
We are using JavaMail API for this. The only changes we have done to send SMS (instead of EMAIL) using a standard JavaMail code are –
1) Use the suffix @sms after the mobile number. For eg: 919923456789@sms.<domain>.com.
2) Use “text/plain” instead of “text/html” while setting the content type.
The SMS is sent fine for English and French but we get junk characters for languages like Japanese and Russian even on phones which support these languages.
Could anyone please advice on the below points –
1) Is this a limitation with respect to JavaMail? If yes, is there any other api that can be used?
2) Does some setting needs to be done in the SMS gateway to enable sending SMS in Japanese and Russian?
3) Does some setting needs to be done in the mobile phone to receive SMS in Japanese and Russian?
Any help on this issue will be appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Jacob

Thanks for your replies...... Please find below the code snippet where I am setting the encoding.....Could you please confirm if this is the correct way?
String subject = "Статус последнего обновления";
String body = "Статус последнего обновления";
*//Both 'body' and 'subject' are set as the russian translation of 'Status last updated'.*
MimeMessage msg = new MimeMessage(mailSession);
msg.setHeader("Content-Type", "text/plain; charset=UTF-16");
msg.setSubject(subject, "UTF-16");
msg.setText(body, "UTF-16");
I tried this but still not getting correct text. If I try with "UTF-16BE"/"UTF-16LE", then I do not get an SMS at all. I have tried with UTF-8 as well.
Does it matter if I change the phone language before/after I receive the message in a language different from the currently set phone language?
I am based out of India and am trying to send these messages to some of my colleagues who are all using Indian service providers. I have tried this on phones which have Russian as a language option.

ACTIVATING FACETIME AND IMESSAGES
Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation. If that does not fix things read the following articles:

• Why am I no longer able to send sms messages on my iPad.

ipad is no longer sending sms messages. I've tried resetting network and rebooting. my husband has iPad and he's able to send sms messages. checked his settings against mine and they seem to have same settings. I'm at a loss and need help.

In order to send SMS messages (to non-iPhone/iPad users), you need to have your iPad connected to an iPhone. Both devices need to be logged into the same Apple ID. On the iPhone, go to Settings>Messages>Text Message Forwarding and select your iPad.

• Send SMS instead of iMessage - iOS5

For example, if you have two iPhone users running iOS5, and you go to send them a message, it will default to using iMessage. Is there a way to specify a certain message to send as SMS instead of using iMessage, but not change the default?
For someone who is sending a message to someone who has a limited data plan, user 1 would like to send an SMS to user 2, but not change the default from iMessage, just that single message.
Is that possible?

Thanks for the responses. But I am still having the same issues. I cannot even send iMessages to myself when I turn Wi-Fi off! I am a software engineer by profession and somewhat of a computer nut, so this is quite frustrating that this will not work for me!
I am trying to ascertain what is different/wrong with my setup:
I have jail-broken my device in the past, but I am not jailbroken on iOS 5.
Nor am I unlocked or anything - I have a perfectly legal and normal AT&T account with the required data-plan.
I am still on the retroactive unlimited plan since I have had every single iPhone right from the start.
I have everything except "show subject field" and "Send Read Receipts" On in Settings->Messages. (Although while testing I have tried both of these features.
I have it to receive at "2 Addresses" in including my phone number and my email address. This was set by default and the email is my Apple ID (and cannot be removed) - but I have never received an iMessage on my email.
Coult this be involved with my problem? (I find it unlikely, but I am exploring every avenue...)
Like many others, I had problems setting up "Find my iPhone" and was only able to make it work by setting up a new account for iCloud/MobileMe. So I have one Apple ID/email that I use for my "Find my iPhone" and iCloud. and another main account I use for iTunes Store, Contacts etc... The main Apple ID is my Gmail address and the one tied to the Address in the last point above. But the iCloud/Find my Phone Apple ID is my Hotmail account. I do not see an obvious reason why this would make iMessage not work for me without Wi-Fi, but if it is somehow working via the wrong account (i.e. if it is using the same underlying technology that allows my phone to be found with Wi-Fi turned off (it does)) could it be mixing this up?
Going back to iOS 4 is obviously too drastic; I will probably just turn-off iMessaging, but this is quite frustrating to say the least. I just hope I have not missed anything truly important...

• Using iMessage 8.0 with Mavericks to send sms message to my friend who has an iPhone. Only allows me to log in under AIM, YAHOO, GOOGLE, or BONJOUR. I don't want to do any of that. Just my phone number. Is this possible?

Hi,
The first run of Messages will ask you to enter an Apple ID to "register' with iMessages.
If you do not do this but open the App and look in Preferences > Accounts then you will see the iMessages account and the Bonjour Account which will not be activated.
Neither of these two account can be deleted. (even if not being used)
If you then press the + icon to add you will get the choices you posted.
To iMessage you need to "register" and Apple ID with the iMessages service.
As Diane then points out you can link this to your iPhone number.
This "syncs" (Displays on all devices) the various iMessages sent to either iPhone or Apple ID
You can then chose on both iPhone or Mac version how or which ID/Number is going to be used to "Start the conversations from"
I have my Mac version set to start from my Apple ID and the iPhone from it's number.
At this moment the Mac version cannot send SMS text messages to an iPhone.
This is apparently coming with iOS 8 and OS 10.10 (Yosemite)
An AIM account can send SMS Messages but only to a limited number of USA based phone users on these carriers.
(Basically you add a phone number with country code +1 as a Buddy to your List)
Mocked up number (It not really an auto responder although you do get sent back and Error message about it not being valid)
