Senser in middle top of 5800?

I've just purchased nokia 5800 few days ago and updated firmware to nokia care from 11.0.008 to 20.0.012.
my friend has also purchased nokia 5800 yesterday and he noticed while he receives any call and his phone is in cover provided by nokia, his 5800 doesnt show lights but as soon as he put out his 5800 out of cover it's lighting..
he hasnt updated his firmware yet..
i've checked his phone and came to know there is a senser in the middle top of 5800 and if i close it even when it's out of cover, light will be off while someone is calling.
i checked similar thing in my phone, but my phone doesnt show such sensor..???it doesnt off lights when i cover sensor or my 5800 is in cover.
though i dont think it's due to firmware update, i just mentioned as it cld be..i dont know..
any one know this?

if it's due to newer firmware in my phone, nokia shdnt remove such good feeatures in newer updates.

one more bug i found after update to V20:
after capturing image form camara, if i click on delete, it deletes image but doesnt remove that photo from screen, so we assume it's not deleted and we have to click on exit.

When I click to play the video full-screen there's always a pop up window in the middle top saying the meaning like Vimeo is playing full-screen, press escape to get out of it. No, as a web developer, you can't tamper with that message. The point is to prevent a situation where the user is trapped in full screen, as would happen if full screen is initiated by the page and the page doesn't provide controls to exit full screen.
If users trust the site in question, they can check the "Never ask me again for this domain" checkbox to avoid the message in the future.
Users can also get rid of all such messages altogether:

If you don't want to install an add-on, you can use the ''userChrome.css'' file instead, but I don't recommend it. In that file, the first line of the style should only appear once at the top.

Random Numbers Appearing at Top of 5800

Hello there.
Two days ago, I purchased a Nokia 5800. I think it is an excellent phone, but I'm quite irked that I've already encountered a problem.
When I access the Menu, a random number fluctuates at the top right-hand corner of the screen somewhere between 0.7 and 16.38.
After doing some independent research, I have concluded that it is the doing of a faulty application. However, I have not downloaded an application that has not been endorced by the Ovi Store/does not have a license and is not trusted. Just in case, I have uninstalled a few applications that I find useless, so here are the applications that remain on my 5800:

Elements (downloaded from Ovi: my sister is a Chemistry teacher, therefore she needs it)

How to align text at the top and bottom of a cell?

I'm making a periodic table and need help with aligning text at the top and bottom of a cell. I'll have a picture in the middle of the cell with text above and below the pic. Thank you in advance for any kind of suggestions you can give me.

It sounds as though you want to have 3 separate items inside of a single cell; text at the top of the cell, text at the bottom of the cell, and then a picture in the middle of the cell. I am no expert, but to my knowledge that is not possible (someone please correct me if I am wrong.) I also cannot figure out how to put a picture inside of a cell itself.
I do have a way to accomplish the end result so long as what you need is the final look and not a useable table in numbers.
Create 2-3 cells for each element. (The middle cell, unless you can put pictures in a cell and I don't know, would just be there for peace of mind, but would hold the picture if you can, I would just do two if the pictures are to be in front of the cell anyway.) The top cell align text to top on the Text tab of the inspector. The bottom cell, align text to bottom on the same tab. Then place the picture in the middle. Now, you have what you want except there is one or two lines dividing the cells. To get rid of this, either click the middle cell if you have one, or the top or bottom cell. Click on the Cell tab of the inspector. Select the bottom border and/or top border button and select "No Border" under border styles. To make this fast, select a full row at a time, or use command click to select all of the same type of rows (middle, top, or bottom) and change all cells at once.

In print preview the page is small. When you print, the print is tiny and down the middle of the pg. Tried all suggestions, no luck. IE prints fine.

Print is small and in middle top of page. When I click Print Preview, the page is now smaller than it was the day before. I've tried config reset printer-printer. Shrink to fit, custom printing sizes, adjusted font size, etc, etc. Nothing has work. NoScript updated. My printer is brand new HP Officejet Pro 8610. It's been working fine. Print from my kindle, fine. Print from my laptop, fine. Print from my Desktop computer in FireFox 34.05 and it's a problem. Desktop prints normal in Internet Explorer. So I do not know what to do next. Please help, Sincerely, Kapaman. P.S. Should I just uninstall FireFox and reinstall a new version?

My guess is that you have a problem with the Paper Size or Margins settings in Firefox.

Tap-click not working on touchpad

I can't left-click by tapping with a single finger on my touchpad. My touchpad buttons are working correctly and my touchscreen too.

After disasters in iDVD `05, should I bother with `06? Is it repaired?

Hello,
I appreciate any help possible, but am particularly interested in comments from "Len Goff" and "John Beatty1." This question involves a small experiment.
I found errors in iDVD 5 that went unrepaired (yes, I did report them, once). There was no patch for the problems and I noticed that after 6 months and two downloads, patch support vanishes for iApps until the new version (which = $$) comes out. Hmmmm.... (I've picked up DSP4 and will start learning it ASAP. However, for simpler jobs, such as archive video, iDVD would be useful.)
So here's a re-hash of the two old issues that were never fixed via patch.
First, iDVD 5 handled the menus strangely relative to version 4. Using menus did not work well in v5. If on menu A, the user selected a button that was to lead to menu B, then the cursor/focus would "land" on menu B on a button that was at an elevation nearest to the button last used on menu A. If that's not clear, I'll rephrase. Say that menu B has many (6-10) buttons (leading to chapters) arranged in a tidy verticle line. On menu A, the button leading to menu B sits about 2/3rd's down the screen. The focus/cursor would "land" on menu B at whatever button was about 2/3rd's down the screen instead of going to the upper left and proceding from the top left, L-R, T-B.
This "error" lost and confused people for whom I made disks. I was not expecting it either. It made navigating difficult for people because they were expecting something more intuitive. You can look back in discussions and see that one solution to this was text-editing the files after making a disk image to correct navigation. Was this "fixed" in version 6?
Second, the other oddity in version 5 is this. From v4, the "Wedding Bronze/Silver Two" themes were the most maleable for making near-custom DVD's. This was nice. In V4, in these themes, the "button" included both the little picture and the text label on the picture. This allowed us to use either no picture (text only buttons) or no text (picture only). Well, in v5, they changed something. The active button was only highlighting the text. Therefore, if one tried to make a no-text/picture-only menu (because it's fun), it wouldn't work. The preview did ok but without highlights around the pictures, and you could navigate by counting. (Funny how things work in Preview but not in reality.) But once the encoding and multiplexing was finished, the menus couldn't be set because iDVD couldn't program the menu navigation to "land" on any button, for whatever reason, without a highlight. V5 would return a "-1" or "1" error. In DSP, you might see that the picture was not included as part of the button.
Experiment: If someone would please snag 5 to 10 minutes of video with a few chapter markers in it (more than 2 sec apart and more than 2 sec from each end of the video) and toss it into v6 with chapter menus. Please try this situation (as disk image) especially using the same theme or a very similar one. Please let me know if the textless buttons can now be made again, like v4 was. Again, did they fix it?

If nothing has improved, than I'll stick to importing v4 archives into DSP and tweaking. (Can't wait until I learn DSP more.)

The theme "Wedding Bronze" in iDVD6 still only highlights text on the submenu buttons.
However, I think that's a theme change and not an iDVD6 limitation per se, as the theme "Porfolio Color" seems to makes buttons that highlight your movie clip, and not just the text.
So I opened Wedding Bronze and dragged in a short movie with 5 chapters. As in iDVD5, those buttons only highlighted the text. But you can change the button style from the default button used in the theme! So I selected a button, and then chose a new style from the button pallet (a heart shaped button or a formal frame button). These new buttons select the frame around the movie itself, not just the text. Then I selected "Save as Disk Image", and it worked fine, with two of the chapters with no text at all on the buttons. Navigation using the DVD Player on the disk image worked fine and highlighted the frames around the chapters with no text at all on the buttons. Could you have changed the buttons in iDVD5? I think so!
As for iDVD6 always starting submenus in the top left, it doesn't work that way. However, I must admit that I don’t find the behavior confusing, and could envision multiple schemes that might seem to make sense to different people for different reasons. They key to me is that the navigation within a menu makes sense, not where the starting point is as long as the "highlight" shows up well.
As for this experiment, the button to go to the chapter menu (scene selection) is in the middle right of the main menu, but when I click on it, it highlights chapter 2 (with no text, middle top row) on the submenu. This is not the closest to the previous button, but it is not the “beginning” chapter either. Maybe it's button #2 going to button #2???

Smartforms how to print Table rows on to the next page automatically

SMART forms:
layout : Half of my A4 page is filled with templates, a small portion is footer, the middle portion is Table.
Note: i have set the condition for the footer as (tick the check box) "only after end of main window"
Output:
                   the template is displayed the table is populated on the first page, no footer on 1st page,
                on page 2 the table rows are printed (table rows were a lot) and finally footer got printed every thing as per normal
what i want is:
                 instead of the table lines printed in the middle of page 2 (bcz my main window table is in the middle, top is templates)
                 i want the table lines (after filling the main window table lines in the 1st page) to continue to print from the
                 top of the page on page 2 and immediately after the table rows finish. footer must be printed....
what should i be doing to get this output

yes i have done that already as u said, when i do it......
i created a new page (next page) directed first page to next page
on the next page my layout is like below
removed all the templates dragged the main window to the top of the page......
when i check the result, there is an empty line as the first line in the table (2nd page)
and also the footer (again a template) on the first page, which is ticked as ( print after end of main window) is NOT displaying.

Music appears grey with a sync symbol on iPhone 4 (iOS 6.0.1) on iTunes (newest version as of 11/20/2012) and will not play on iPhone. It is set to manually manage music.

So I got a brand new iPhone 4 from a Sprint retailer, and it came with the software that was available at the time of the release. I left it that way for a while and put music on it through iTunes (latest version as of 11/20/2012) with no problems. Then I updated the software on the iPhone to iOS6.0.1 and when i tried to put music on it through iTunes like normal the songs showed up in the library of the iPhone (still on the computer) however they were grey and they had a syncing symbol to the left as if it were still syncing the music. I waited and waited but it would not go away. then I clicked the arrow at the middle top of iTunes where it shows you what song is playing and everything else iTunes is doing, and it did not say that it was syncing the music like normal. Basically the library indicated the music was still syncing but iTunes was not putting it on. I currently have it set to manually manage music. I do not want to switch it to automatically sync or reset my iPhone because I will lose my information. Any immediate help would be greatly appreciated!

When I went to restore my phone, I may have found the cause of these problems. I never deleted all of my original synced songs before enabling iTunes Match.
When I just went to do the restore, I figured I'd delete all of my songs, then disable iTunes Match. After deleting about 3.5 GB of music and disabling iTunes Match, I ran the sync to backup my iPhone. It said there was still 2.2 GB of music. I checked my phone just in case and there was 2.2 GB there, probably the original synced songs that I never removed.
Anyway, I'm doing the restore now just in case and will respond tomorrow with how everything is working.

What is purpose of having an iTunes Library when I already have purchased apps?

I am new to the Apple ecosystem, so please pardon my ignorance here. I am using iTunes on Windows desktop, but I have the same problem on my Mac laptop.
I have some apps purchases that show up when I am in iTunes and select Purchased or Apps.
But when I select the option of My iPhone Apps at the middle top of the screen, or select My iPad Apps, the list of apps is empty. Yet, I clearly have purchasesd some, because they show up under "Purchased."
And when I run the Apps app in my iPhone, it shows the purchased items that are NOT on my iPhone but are ready for downloading to my iPhone.
So, this is making me wonder: What is the purpose of having an iTunes Library for storage or syncing, when I could use the Purchased list?
Am I misunderstanding the reason for having the Library?

So, it sounds like I should move them to the iTunes Library for both my iPhone and my iPad. I found that if I click the app, it appears in the library. Among the apps that I have purchased, there are some apps that I don't want anymore. So I assume that I should NOT click (i.e. move) those to the Library, right?

Windows 8.1 and icloud doesnt sync photos

Just installed icloud to my windows 8.1 laptop and it doesnt sync photos at all with my air2 (8.1.2). I have tried to sign in, out, middle, top, bottom, front, behind or whatever... Changed compatibility to Win7 etc. Turned off/on icloud sync/photos/streams/etc. I dont see those pics (added to icloud folder from my pc) in icloud.com either. It's only showing pics from my air2 but it doesnt even sync them with my pc.
Is this icloud a joke, or am i missing something?

What I have tried so far:
A possible solution (didnt work for me):
1. logget out from icloud (in win8)
2. Went to c - users - *current user* - AppData - Roaming - Apple computer -> Create a folder called "MediaStream" (it didnt exist).
it didnt work.
Tried this again, but now deleting all files from the existing "MediaStream" folder. And then logged back to iCloud. (Didnt work.)
Another possible solution (didnt work either):
1. tried to change permission for iCloud photos (unchecked the tap "read only")
Finally just another possible solution (didnt work either):
1. unchecked Photos from iCloud control panel
2. Logged out from iCloud.
3. Created a new folder c:\Photostream
4. Logged back to iCloud and change the Photos location to that newly created folder "Photostream"
AND the funniest part - I dont see "My photo stream" photos in iCloud (web/ipad) BUT they are somewhere becauce they come to my iCloud in my computer when i open iCloud (even if i have deleted it and remains (files/folders) from the pc and installed it back)... There is 31 photos on somewhere which dont exist in iCloud (web or ipad).

Trying to do .CSS drop shadows

Hi,
I'm trying to get a similar look and feel as this website
Livingsteel.org but can't
seem to crack the drop shadow for the main table/container. It's
the one down that covers the bottom and right side and makes the
site look very tidy.
I'm trying to do everything in .css from now on and any help
with this would be great.

Well you can certainly do it with a table (and format the
table with CSS).
However to do it with divs, I would have a top div with the
top bar (and
the right corner of the shadow), a main div with the shadow
on the right
in the bakcground, and a bottom bar with the shadow and a bit
of the
bottom white.
Like this:
Course you can simply use divs to create the dropshadows as
you would do
it in a table.
You would more or less have a topleft corner div, a middle
top div, a
topright corner div etc.
The more light way of doing this would be to see if you can
accomplish
the first suggestion by using existing elements (for example
having the
background of the footer and header contain the background
and shadows).
There are a bunch of sites around that explore rounded
corners and
dropshadows with css and divs.

My iPad 2 screen cracked, is there a way to get it fixed (I don't want to buy a new one)?

About a few weeks ago my iPad 2 screen cracked. I don't know how it happened, but we think that someone might have stepped on it. It wasn't bad at all, but then it spread. One small crack across the middle & top, with a large "spider web" crack on the right side. So I was wondering if there is a way to get the screen fixed from Apple. Right now, buying another iPad isn't really the best option.

I don't know what country that you are in, but in the US the price for repair (i.e. replacement) is for the iPad 2 (from here) $249, and here in the UK £206.44 . If you select your country at the top of that page you might be able to find the price for your country and your service options.

How do i delete an App for re-installing

Hi all, i have a few App's that are for editing images, i wanted to use one of them yesterday, the first two i tried to open both came up with the same message, the message was telling me i had purchased it on another computer and i should sign in using the ID i used to purchase it etc.
I know for a fact that i only have one Apple computer and i only have one Apple ID , i truly dont understand it at all.
And then after not being able to type in the correct password, it comes up with another message telling me the App is damaged, i should delete it and download it again etc. etc. what a mess.
happily i did find one of my other Image Apps did the job , but i would love to know WHAT IS GOING ON ?
therfore the least i can do is to delete it and download it again, so please how am i supposed to DELETE it ?

If you are certain that you no longer want an app, not even in your history, you can delete it using iTunes on your computer. This will mean that things will become as if you never purchased this app and you would have to purchase it AGAIN if you want it back. Do that ONLY if you are absolutely certain you have no need for it, unless you like spending money.
Go to iTunes Store Home.
On left side of screen, click on Purchased
Select Apps from the options at the top of the screen
Select either iPhone or iPad from the middle top of the screen
Run your mouse (or trackpad) pointer over the icon of the app you want to remove.
Click on the circled (x) at the top left corner of the icon.
Follow instructions.
If all you want is an app deleted from your iOS device, get the app icons to wiggle (press and hold any icon for a few seconds) then tap on the circled (x) at the top left of the icon. That will delete the app from your device, but you can still put it back on for free by going to the App Store, Updates-> Purchases.
