Seperate account receivable for tax

Hi,
Following is the business scenario mentioned below for which I would appreciate your suggestions.......
Posting to accounts:
Customer account: 13000+
Tax Gl account: 300-
Rev. account: 10000-
From the above, instead of having the combine receivable(Net value + Service tax) against one customer account. Can we have postings to two seperate GL accounts where we can post Net value to one AR account and tax receivable to another account.
The reason being, if the user receives part of the invoice value then propartionately he wants to divide the posting between Net value & applicable tax for the value seperately.
Regards,
KK

Dear KK,
-->Please ask FI people to define seperate G/L accounts for revenue and Taxes.
-->You define the account keys defferently to Revenue and Taxes
SPRO>Sales And Distribution>Basic functions>Account Assignment/Costing>Revenue account determination-->Define and Assign account keys.
-->You assign these account keys in your pricing procedure to the respective pricing condition types in V/08 transaction.
-->You assign the G/L accounts with respect to the account keys in VKOA and OB40 transactions.
I hope it will help you,
Regards,
Murali.

SAP PRA introduces process improvements to Accounts Receivable and Taxes Payable write off processes for small dollar line items.  When small dollar line item amounts are within the user defined tolerances, these line items can be written off using a batch job, Auto Write Off.

    Thank you Wolfrad-
It's a good start.  I think the best method in creating roles is to create the name myself and add the t-codes pertaining to that function such as cash application and credit.
I have a list of t-codes (it says all FI transactions) but I don't see credit management t-codes like FD32.  Does anyone have a list of credit management t-codes?

  • Account Determination for Tax using Sale Tax Code

    Hi,
We are using TAXINN and sales tax codes. We are using JTX1 condition in our sales pricing procedure for which we r maintaing condition record with correct tax code applied to it. We have assigned account keys in Tax Procedure, so no acct. key is assigned to JTX1 in sales pricing procedure. In record of JTX1 we are maintaining same tax rate (with tax code assigned to it) for eg. 4 % (not 100%) as maintained in tax code.
Now, we are able to save billing document but while creating accounting document system is giving following error:
No account is spesified in item 0000001002
No acct. was specified for acct. type S in item 1002 of the FICO doc.
The financial acctg. pgm. cannot process the doc.
A sys. error has probably occured in ther sppln. you called up. Check the data transferred to item 1002 of the FICO doc.
    Pls. help.
    Regards,
    Dipti

    Hi Dipti,
Hope you are working for Indian Client.
Since you are using TAXINN procedure, you should not use JTX1(Tax Jurisdict.Code) condition at all. As you are aware after implementation of VAT, we should switch off Tax Jurisdiction at all lelvels.
    SD Pricing Procedure:
    1. Condition Type Settings
    a. Excise conditions (if req'd)
    b. LST / CST Conditions
    c. Freight and Insurance Conditions
    2. Access Sequence Settings
    3. Maintain Pricing Procedure
    4. Assign tax code to Company code
Therefore, check your IMG settings once again.

  • Regarding Two Account Receivable for One customer

    Hi all,
Can I set up two A/R receivable for one customer .For example :
    Equipment sales - A/R----
    Part sales -
    A/R
However,A/R receivable can be set only at business partner level.
Is there any work around .Please suggest me
    bishal

    HI,
Suda is correct, that it is not possible.
Even if it's possible that a system can split a Sales transaction to multiple receivable accounts, how upon payment?  With an accumulated-multiple receivable on one customer's account, the customer will not tell us that this much go to this A/R account and this much go to another A/R Account.
In order to address the multiple A/R requirement of your accountant, try to study the following options
    OPTION #1
I would suggest that you create multiple Customer Records in order to provide the multiple A/R Account .
Implement a coding standard on the Customers with multiple A/R Accounts, such as
    C10023 - Customer with A/R Equipment
    C20023 - Customer with A/R Parts
Since there will be issue on Payment for this option, create a UDF in the Incoming Payment module and assign an FMS with a query displaying the amount due for A/R Equipment and A/R Parts so that payment can be manually splitted between Customer Accounts.
    OPTION #2
Maintain the standard of SAP Business One, and focus on the reporting part of the Balance Sheet.  You can create your own Balance Sheet report in order to futher split the A/R into 2 or several A/Rs depending on the transactions posted to A/R Invoices.
    Hope this help.

  • Business area is missing in Accounting doc for Taxes

    Hi Gurus,
When I am sseing accounting doc, The business area is not showing for taxes, but its showing only for sales values. Is there any setting for getting Businees area for taxes?.
    Regards
    Rams

If the Profit Center of material is flowing wrongly in billing or a particular G/L Account is assigned to multiple Business Areas, you will face this type of problem.
So Check whether your profit center is flowing correctly and also the respective G/L Account is not assigned to multiple Business Areas.
In order to avoid this, you should have invoice split based on business area.
    thanks

  • Seperate Line item for taxes in MIGO and MIRO

    All SAP Gurus,
We want to inventories the CST (central sales tax) amount.
For this we have used the condition type JIPS, check marked the accounting key 'JI7' and gave posting indicator as '2' Separate line item.
Now, CST amount is getting inventorised at the time of GR. (but no separate line item is created at the time of GR).
During MIRO, the inventoried CST amount is getting deinventorised (although separate line item being created here).
Can we have separate line item in MIRO, without getting value deinventorised? (as it happens for freight)
    Regards,

    Hi Kunal,
    Thanks for the reply.
As you have rightly said, we need to tick 'NOT DEDUCTIBLE' in OBCN (we have already did that).
And key has been already assigned in Atx procedure for the appropriate condition type.
But the problem is that, we want separate line item for this tax amount in MIGO.
Is it possible to have separate line item for the tax amount in MIGO (as we can get separate line item for freight in MIGO).

    Dear Sir,
Please clarify whether excise , custom, service tax  & vat accounts are maintained as open item or not.

Edited by: NITIN on May 12, 2010 5:38 AM

    Dear Nitin
SAP allows you to maintain the Open Item Managment for the Tax GL codes (Balance Sheet Accounts only). However, it is decision by the business.
Whether they want to see the line item balances in a cumulative manner / wish to see only open items.
I personnely recommend to choose open item option. so that, the business will understand the exact open item list at any movement of time.

  • Account Receivable Calculation

    Hi,
I have to write a program to calculate the amount of account receivables for a customer, do I just add the amount of all the entries in table BSID and BSAD, and also what is the Debit/Credit key used for?
Please explain with more details as I having done much programming in the FI module
    Thanks and please kindly assist.

Table BSID stores the cutomer open items i.e invoices raised and amount is pending to be receiced. This is shown with Debit indicator. For any reasons if customer has paid excess amount or amount paid without reference to any specific invoice it is reflected with Credit indicator.
All cleared items are shown in BSAD table.
Please refer to Tcode FBL5N with open items option to get the cutomer o/s. You may have to build the saame logic in your report.
    Thanks

  • Table for tax code line item after miro

Can anybody tell table for tax code line item (other than BSET) after MIRO.
    Raj

    Hi,
First let me explain you the logic in this repot.
If a document have more than one GL accounts relevant for tax and having the same tax code. So there is only one tax line for that tax code in BSET.
Now in the standard reports like S_ALR_87012357, output has the tax base amount etc, based on tax line from BSET which is a single line the above document. However this single line contains multiple tax relevant account and thus SAP can not show all the G/L account for this single line in the report S_ALR_87012357. So SAP picks up the first account in the output.
The declaration in this report is not wrong, as the total gets calculated based on the tax code and which is correct and meets the tax reporting requirement.
If you want to see the G/L account wise output, you can use the program RFUMSV10. Refer OSS note 1175418 "RFUMSV00: G/L account display" for details.
    https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1175418
In your report, you can use this program logic for reference.

  • Account 113000 3000 not defined for tax postings

    hi
    while generating invoice
    getting the follwing error.
"Account 113000 3000 not defined for tax postings"\
    here 3000 is company  code.
    wats the solution for this...

    Hi
OK, you need to change back your G/L account, not to be defined as a VAT account.
Then, go to Financial Accounting / Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable / Basic Functions / Postings and Documents / Document / Define Account Assignments for Automatic Postings / Automatic G/L Account Determination / Define Accounts for Sales/Purchase Tax.
Check there if any of the accounts you entered is 113000. If that is the case, correct the entry.

  • Request for the creation of a new Unemployment account for tax

    Hi Guys,
This is a question with regard to US tax. We have received a request for the creation of a new Unemployment account for the payment of taxes. This is because the account assignment number has changed for a particular company code in Tennassee state. Please let me know where this change could be made in SAP.
    Thanks,
    Subbaiah

    Subbaiah,
Table T5UTL is used for New Tax Company Codes. If this is a new legal entity, youu2019ll need to set up the Tax Company here. Youu2019ll also need to assign at least one Personnel Area to this new Tax Company. This must be established in order to update the next table shown below, but only if itu2019s a new legal entity. The user will know.
Table T5UTH is for establishing the account number to be used in BSI. It must be established in order to update the next table shown below.
Table T5UTI is for assigning account numbers by Tax Company Code. Youu2019ll need one for Tax Authority TN, Tax Type 10. The user will need to supply this information to you.
Table BTXRATE will need to be updated with the Tax Company Code, year, and the State Unemployment Insurance rate & taxable wage amount.
Once this is done, youu2019ll need to update BSI.
If Tennessee is a new state, youu2019ll have work to do with the tax models.

    Howard

  • Down Payment Received - Output Tax Account definition

    Hi,
I have defined reconciliation account for down payment received under OBXR, and it works fine. However, the issue comes when we post output tax received along with customer down payment. I get the error "No taxes on sales/purch.are allowed for account 214010, O1 is not allowed". 214010 is our customer down payment account.
It looks like I have to define tax account under "Define Tax Accounts for Down Payments Received (OB40)" and also "Define Account for Tax Clearing (OBXB)". I am not sure where in OB40 and OBXB I have to define these accounts. Or is it enough if I just define tax account for down payment under OB40 and don't do anything in OBXB.
    I appreciate your help.

  • G?L Accounts for Taxes

    Dear SAP Experts,
We can do the tax postings from the FI Accounting Under Taxes on Sales /Purchases. through account keys and the Tax codes.
Please tell me now from the SD side Pricing :
Do we agin need to define the account keys for the Tax posting as it is already done in the FI.
    Plez Explain.
    regards,
    A S

    Dear AS,
VKOA is basically used to determine Revenue A/Cs types, such as Revenue, Sales Deductions, Frieght etc.; based upon Condition Types - KOFI & KOFK (To know more about KOFI, KOFK, either search forum or I'll provide links to my posts in some of the threads).
VKOA settings are also used to determine Provisional A/Cs like, Accruals or Rebate etc..
You define G/L accounts for MM integration at T Code: OBYC, and for SD T Code: VKOA. When you post purchase order the is no posting to FI, when you post invoice or goods receipt then there is affect in FI. Where as in SD when you post sales order no entry to FI; when you post sales invoice for post goods issue then there is affect in FI. For this, 2 MM and SD transactions to post to fi you have to give accounts at T code OBYC and VKOA.
This is basically the The Accounts Receivable (FI-AR) module, which is closely integrated, for above explaination.
    Best Regards,
    Amit

    Hi,
It depends what type of information you are after. You can download the Oracle E-Business suite documentation CD from Metalink (or view the library online). In there you will find the Receivables User Guide, Tax manual and API reference guides amongst others (eg. Vertex Integration Guide).
Outside of the standard product docs, there are several books out there, such as the Financials Handbook (McGraw-Hill) that contain good sources of information for the core financials modules.
