Serial/batch numbers  Problem

Hi  All,
I am trying to Genetate  a goods receipt  through Code .
when i m trying to generate it gives me error like
You should use existing serial/batch numbers for this document type
But i have to create new serial/batch
so what can i do over here.
Hari

Hi Hari,
In 2007 version, there is a change in SystemSerialNumber Property
When you set this property (SystemSerial Number)it means that you want
to use an existing serial number
If the system serial number does not exist, any action will fail.
When you do not set this properyt (empty) it means that you want to
create a new serial number
You cannot provide a system number of your choice to create a new
serial number

  • Reg : Serial number with batch numbering

    Hi PP Guru's ,
    I have one scenario wherein i need to use batch numbering as well as serial number too is it possible to use both in process order.
    i am producing certain product in batch say 25 tons and the material is stored in 1 ton eack jumbo with numbering against batch like jumbo1.... 2...25 with batch1000000099
    please advice if it is which serial number profile should i use and serilising procedure
    marks will be awarded after testing only on the same day.
    regards,
    jaya

    Hi Jaya,
    To the best of my knowledge, this is not possible using standard serial no profile.
    However many places this is achieved by using user exit to manipulate the serial no as expected..

  • Slow when fill batch numbers in matrix

    Hi,
    I am using the following code to fill a matrix in the batch numbers windows, this codes come from other windows where the user set his batch numbers and click ok.
    My problem is this routine is slow based in the user simulation clic and I need this become more fast.
    I use the .Freeze(true) command to get more speed, but doesnt work.
    Actually this give me 18 codes per minute. My problems is when the user set 6.200.000.
    Can provide me some tips to do it? or other way to get the goal.
    Thanks.
    EDIT: sorry when I want to mean is "Slow" is when my code write on the matrix (the batch number window) how can I get more speed in the process?
    oBultosForm.Freeze(true);
                        z = 1;
                        foreach (var item in seriales)
                            SAPbouiCOM.EditText oEditTex3 = (SAPbouiCOM.EditText)oGrid.Columns.Item(2).Cells.Item(z).Specific;
                            oEditTex3.Value = item.Serial;
                            SAPbouiCOM.EditText oEditTex4 = (SAPbouiCOM.EditText)oGrid.Columns.Item(5).Cells.Item(z).Specific;
                            oEditTex4.Value = item.Cantidad;

                            oBultosForm.Freeze(true);

                             z++;
                        oBultosForm = SBO_Application.Forms.ActiveForm;
                        oBultosForm.Freeze(false);

    hi Maik, the Active Form is a Form  created by with visual designer this is called "Gestion de bultos" is used for pack management,
    1.- you insert your goods receipt PO and clic add
    2.- this open a batch setup windows. here you select the document and later clic in "bultos button".
    3.- this open a pack management window (Gestion de bultos) where you insert how you can distribute the quantities, ex. I want 6 pack of 100 and the location is A-01-2-3.
    When you clic ok. this close the window (Gestion de bultos) and in the Batch - Setup window insert the batch generated based in the requirement.
    my problem is this is slow due at use a GUI for this. I dont know how to do it with DI API, I think in some Transaction Notifications. But is only ideas.
    Thanks for your time

  • Report for a selection of items+batch numbers that I would have had on hand

    I would like to run a report for a selection of items and batch numbers that I would have had on hand (only) for September 30th.  I have run the batch numbers report but this gives me all transactions from August 1/09 to September 30/09.

    Hi
    If you need to know quantity onhand ,probably you need to run query against OINM tables but If you are lloking for information then I guess this batch and serial number would be handy ....
    Hope this helps

  • PO Goods Receipt with Serial / Batch number with DI API

    I am creating PO Goods Receipt with DI API. This works fine. But when i have items with serial numbers and batch numbers in the same PO, then i am getting either of the following errors:
    1. [OITM]Item has no serial number management
    2. [OIBT] Invalid Item Code.
    I debugged the code and the values i set seems to be correct. I am using VB.Net and SAP 2004 with Patch 23.
    Thanks
    Anand

    Anand,
    When you are working with a Serialized item in the first scenario, have you tested working with the item in the Business One application itself?  Have you tried to have the system assign a serial number for the item when issuing a Goods Receipt?  Do you get the same issue through the Business One interface.  With respect to working with Batches, have you setup the Batches for inventory items through the Business One interface yet?  If you have not setup Batches, this would be why you would not have any data in the OIBT table.

    Eddy

  • What are the Pros and Cons of Using Batch Numbers over Serialization

    Dear SAP Gurus:
    Will someone please give me the benefits of using Batch Management over serial numbers in this case scenerio, or vice versa:
    Client wants to trace all the components of an assembly in a BOM.  Even the Raw material.  The client sends the material out today and has the vendor assign serial numbers to the individual pieces, the client gives the range of serial numbers to use.  We are looking at using batch numbers to accomplish this and issue one material and batch number to a production order.  Then use MB56 batch where used functionality to view history.  I am wanting to understand the benefits of this.  Please advise and points will be awarded as always.
    Also, in this scenerio, can you issue multiple material/batch numbers to one vendor op that has its own production order?

    Yes it is a subcontract.
    Example:  This is the solution but need the pros and cons of doing this scenerio
    Sheet of metal sent to vendor to make lets say 1800 peices of material number nas5703-01.  All 1800 pieces come back and issued to a production work order using one bacth number for one material item so that batch number can be traced in history in MB56 and a fit up report.

  • How can I eliminate duplicate Batch Numbers?

    SBO allows serial numbers to be unique, but not batch numbers. The system allows the same batch number to be used for a different part. I have a medical company that requires unique Batch numbers accross the board, regardless of part number. Any suggestions? I tried to do this with a formatted search that would identify a duplicate Batch for me, but my search crashed and burned.
    Here is the Formatted Search I tried to connect to the Batches Setup Form:
    SELECT 'Batch allready used!' FROM IBT1 T0 WHERE T0.[BatchNum] = $[$3.3.0]
    Anyone out there know how to force unique batch numbers?
    Thanks!
    Mike

    What I am saying is, I never want a duplicate Batch number even if the parts are different. In your example, Item A could not have the same Batch number as Item B. Unfortinately, SBO allows duplicate batch numbers as long as the part numbers are different.
    The reason for this is two fold. 1) This medical company cannot, never have the same batch number, and 2) reporting from the OIBT and IBT1 tables gets a bit complicated with duplicate batch numbers.
    So my thought is to simply create a formatted search which runs from the Batches Setup Form, checking to see if this Batch Number has allready been used, then replacing the entry if TRUE with something like "Batch Allready Assinged".

  • Need tables for tracking Invoice Items back to the Batch Numbers/Item codes

    Trying to build report to show the Inventory movement from a Sales Invoice Item back to the source items and the Batch Numbers for assigned along the way.  Having problems finding all the tables to connect the Batch information to the Invoice information.
    In B1 under batch management I can see fields that belong to tables RBTN, RITL and OBTN  but I can only find OBTN in Crystal.
    Are these tables hidden for some reason or are they Temporary tables that B1 creates when opening the form/report.

    Hi David
    Just did a test and I can't see it in the table.

  • Overdelivery with batch numbers

    hi,
    is there a way to handle overdeliveries in Business One when using batch numbers.
    For example:
    Order: 100 g
    select charges 100,9g
    Deliver 100,9g
    Without batch numbers its no problem. But the batch number controlling in business one has a maxinum limit (order quantity). For me its a bug !
    Has anybody a solution? Or will this feature be implemented soon?
    regards

  • Batch numbers - eliminating batches in form

    Hi,
    I have some items with Batch Numbers. When Im creating invoice (through UI or user entry) and after click to Add button, the form with batches will be shown. In bottom left corner is there a matrix with list of disponibile batches. Is it possible to eliminate this list of batches only for batches I need (through some filter, query, ...)?
    Or - is it possible to assign batch number for line level of main matrix before I click to Add button?
    I spent on this whole day without any idea...
    thanks

    Hi Petr,
    it won't be very helpful but maybe you're interested how iam doing this.
    i trigger the "add button", the serial number form opens and i assign the serial numbers automatically.
    the user just have to watch how the "serial numbers" walk from left to right
    i don't think you can "filter" the list of avaible serials.

  • Userexit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_001 for COR1 (batch numbering)

    Hi guys,
    I have a strange problem.
    Our customer is upgrading from 4.6B to 6.0 (701), and their user exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_001 (used for automatic batch numbering in transaction COR1) stopped working.
    I just don't seem to pass through this code while debugging, even though the project seems to be active etc...
    Any ideas what might have changed between 46B and 701?
    cheers
    Rob

    Thanks, Vipin.
    For some reason, internal assignment was switched off on the DEV system, and on on the PRD system. I could 've been debugging until hell froze over

  • User exit SAPLV1ZE for batch numbering

    Hello,
    The problem is with user exits. I have to make user exit that checks correct batch numbering. When user enters the batch number in transaction, for example, MSC1N it should check is it according standards. I found that user exit SAPLV1ZE is for such purposes and wrote code for this user exit to save dataset each time it executes, to test is it working.
    As I understand form documentation, this user exit is triggered when you press enter after entering batch number in transaction MSC1N. I tried to do it and everything worked fine (dataset was created)! I added some code and tried to execute it again. It worked, but only once! I tried to execute it again with same code and it didn’t work! Now I commented all the code I added and left only dataset creation part but no results – I can’t make it work again.
    The user exit is activated and the code in it is correct (tried to copy it in report and execute). I thought it can be used only once per material or plant, so I tried to trigger the user exit with different data, but it doesn’t work anyway.
    Maybe anyone of you have this kind of solution in your system or you just have some ideas where the problem could be?
    Any help will be appreciated!
    Thanks in advice!

    The issue is solved! I tried to put break point in function where this user exits are called and it didn't stop when I tried to run it from MSC1N. I tried to do the same from other transactions and found that this user exit is triggered from, for example, MIGO. And it is working fine.
    So the problem was that user exit SAPLV1ZE is not triggered from MSC1N. I'll have to find another user exit...

  • Changing Batch Numbers after Approval

    Weu2019re having a strange problem with one of our clients whereby  for the GRPOu2019s upon approval the batch numbers change, the system mistakenly picks other numbers. This is noticed after the GRPO has been approved before committal.
    What causes this system behavior ?

    Dear Experts,
    The only workaround on this seems to be removing the approval. Since its only after the approval that this change happens. This however removes a very critical system functionality, one of which I am unwilling to give up.
    By the way, due to some customisation the batch number field is actually the batch attribute 2 column. Not the usual batch number column.
    Does anyone else have a workaround for this ?

  • Available Serial/Batch Number under the bin location

    Hi Expert,
    When applying bin location in SBO 9. Each line need to select particular bin location for counting. Now, i encounter a problem to list out the available serial/batch number under the bin location.
    i am able to get the list of serial number but lacking the bin location filter.
