Serialization (Class Reference) Problem.

I have developed a class which only job is to save my serializable objects and load them. This class works very simple. In the constructor you pass the instance of the class you wish to save or load data in, and you call the method save(..) or load (..) accordingly!
Now the serialiazation works more then fine :) The problem is in the reference of classes. That is my object instance in the class responsable for serialization is initialized ok when the data is loaded. However the same object (that means passed as a paramter to the Serialiaztion class) is not being initialized.
Now as much as I know all parameters that are objects are always transfered as Reference types. That mean pointing to the same memory address. So how can my instance be initalize in one point and not in the other?
Following is my Serialization class:
import java.io.FileInputStream;
import java.io.FileOutputStream;
import java.io.IOException;
import java.io.ObjectInputStream;
import java.io.ObjectOutputStream;
public class DataSerializer {
    private Object serializableObject;
    public DataSerializer(Object o){
        this.serializableObject = o;
    public void Save(String filePath) throws IOException{
        ObjectOutputStream objectOutputStream = null;
        try {
            objectOutputStream =
                new ObjectOutputStream(new FileOutputStream(filePath));
            objectOutputStream.writeObject(this.serializableObject);
        finally{
            try{
                objectOutputStream.flush();
                objectOutputStream.close();
            catch(Exception e){}
            objectOutputStream = null;
    public void Load(String filePath) throws ClassNotFoundException,
            ClassCastException, IOException{
        ObjectInputStream objectInputStream = null;
        try {
            objectInputStream =
                    new ObjectInputStream(new FileInputStream(filePath));
            this.serializableObject  = (AllData)objectInputStream.readObject();
            // TESTING: HERE IT RETURNS CORRECT VALUE (1)
            System.out.println("c:"+((AllMyData)this.serializableObject).count());
        finally{
            try{
                objectInputStream.close();
            catch(Exception e){}
            objectInputStream = null;
    public Object getSerializableObject(){
        return this.serializableObject;
    public void setSerializableObject(Object o){
        this.serializableObject=o;
}And this is how I call the class:
AllMyData d = new AllMyData();
d.add(new MyData("Hello"));
new DataSerializer(d).save("C:\\Test1.txt");
// Problem here:
AllMyData d2 = new AllMyData();
new DataSerializer(d2).load("C:\\Test1.txt");
System.out.println(""+d2.count);  // returns 0 instead 1!!Thanks in advance for any help!

BTW: By using the get and set method it works fine :)
But just a question I wanted to ask, Since from what I know about referencing it should be working like it is above!! I know it most probably is silly!? but can't explain it to myself!
here is the way I code it to work:
AllMyData d = new AllMyData();
d.add(new MyData("Hello"));
new DataSerializer(d).save("C:\\Test1.txt");
// Problem here:
AllMyData d2 = new AllMyData();
// NEW CODE BELOW
DataSerializer loader = new DataSerializer(d2);
loader .load("C:\\Test1.txt");
d2.getSerializableObject();
// NOW IT RETURNS CORRECT RESULT!
System.out.println(""+d2.count);

  • NullPointerException (Unknown Source) in Serializable class

    Hi, I have a Serializable class, and I just added a new class variable to it, with its get and set methods. When I try to call either the get or the set method from outside the class, I get a NullPointerException, which refers to the method in the following format:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at setMethod (Unknown Source)
    or at getMethod (Unknown Source)I'm very confused about why this is happening, and I can't seem to come up with any solutions as to why it happens only for this variable and not for the other ones.
    I wrote the two following files, trying to reproduce this problem outside work, but I wasn't successful. Please help out!
    import java.io.Serializable;
    public class Profile implements Serializable {
         private static final long serialVersionUID = 1835312781905234523L;

        private String city;
        private int age;

             profile.setName("Nazli");
             profile.setPhone("650-234-1234");
             profile.setCity("Menlo Park, CA");
             profile.setAge(30);
             System.out.println("Name: "+profile.getName());
             System.out.println("Phone: "+profile.getPhone());

             System.out.println("Age: "+profile.getAge());
         public static void main (String [] args)
              ProfileTester tester = new ProfileTester();
    }

    My guess is that your get or set method is a little more complex than a simple retrieval or assignment.
    Make sure there are no null references in the body of those methods.

  • Client can't access Serializable classes on Server

    Hi there, i have created a very simple client server model and had it running fine. I then added a new serializable class to the server and return it in a new method. Now when i try to run that method on the client side it complains it cannot find my new serializable class ("no class def found exception: rmi/server/ServerObject.class"). This is how it's setup at the moment:
    Server
    -ServerFront extends Remote
    -Server implements ServerFront
    -ServerObject implements Serializable
    The server binds itself to the registry as such:
    ServerFront engine = new Server();
    String name = "Server";
    ServerFront stub = (ServerFront)UnicastRemoteObject.exportObject(engine, 0);
    Registry registry = LocateRegistry.getRegistry();
    registry.rebind(name, stub);The ServerObject class looks like this:
    public class ServerObject implements Serializable
        private static final long serialVersionUID = 10L;
        //methods
    }The ServerFront interface has a method as such:
    ServerObject getServerObject () throws RemoteException;    Client
    -Client
    The client gets a reference to the server as follows:
    String name = "Server";
    Registry registry = LocateRegistry.getRegistry("127.0.0.1");
    server = (ServerFront)registry.lookup(name);Then tries to run the getServerObject() method:
    ServerObject = server.getServerObject();I run the client and server from jar files using the following commands:
    start java -Djava.rmi.server.codebase="http://www.xenwars.com/Server.jar" -Djava.security.policy=security.policy -jar Server.jar
    java -Djava.security.policy=security.policy -jar Client.jar"security.policy" allows all access, and the codebase URL points to my webserver where i uploaded an identical copy of the Server jar file that i'm trying to run.
    So... i've read all the Sun documentation and such and i'm massively confused why my client isn't simply downloading the serializable class as it's supposed to. Any help is massively appreciated, thanks :D

    By a mirrored interface i mean i just created an interface based off my existing serializable classes, i.e. copied the method constructors into an interface class and made the serializable class implement that interface.
    I think that must have been the problem then, that i wasn't giving the client an interface to the serializable classes on the server that it was attempting to download. I thought by using RMI on a serializable class it would just download that class when it needs it and so wouldn't need an interface pre-defining it.
    Thanks for the help! I'm now working on a system with 3 servers and one client, where two servers have various methods implemented and the third one acts as a bridge between the other two servers and the client - so the client only has to deal with one server. It's working fine but it's pretty annoying having to mirror all the methods from both servers' interface classes in the server that acts as a bridge's interface class - is there any way that the bridge server can inherit the other two servers interfaces into its own so i don't need to make loads of duplicate "shell" methods like this:
    // second server
    public ArrayList<Thing> getAllThings ()
        return things;
    // bridge server
    private SecondServerFront secondServer; // reference loaded in constructor
    public ArrayList<Thing> getAllThings () throws RemoteException
        return secondServer.getAllThings();
    }

  • ABAP Class reference in persistent container

    Hi all,
    Has anyone ever tried to read an abap class reference from a rule container in the rule's function module?
    This doesn't seem to work, unless I am doing something wrong...
    Here is the scenario:
    I have an abap class ZCL_CLASS instantiated in my workflow container. In one of my workflow steps I pass that class object reference to a rule (Function Module based). In the rule function module I use macro swc_get_element to try to get the class object reference. And there it is not getting anything.
    I have already tried the following:
    - Try to run macro swc_container_to_runtime on the rule container before retrieving the object reference -> doesn't work. The internal table ac_container doesn't even look different before and after having run this macro.
    - Try to replace the declaration of include <CNTN01> by <CNTN02> + <CNTN03>. Doesn't change anything either.
    When I look at ac_container in debugging it seems my object reference is there but looks a bit strange:
    ELEMENT | TAB_INDEX | ELEMLENGTH | TYPE | VALUE
    WFIBF_PORTAB | 000011 | 004 | u | SWFTSTRUCT
    WFIBF_PORTAB | 000012 | 032 | C | STEP
    WFIBF_PORTAB | 000014 | 032 | C | 1CCC1000C
    WFIBF_PORTAB | 000015 | 104 | C | <object key>    <class>    CL
    Any idea of how I should proceed to retrieve my object reference?
    For the moment the workaround I found is to pass the object key to the rule and to reinstantiate the class in the rule function module. Not a very elegant solution...
    Thanks in advance and kind regards,
    Patrick

    Hi Mike,
    I understand what you're saying. But the problem is that the swc_get_element macro does not even get me the LPOR value, and therefore I can't call the FIND_BY_LPOR method.
    That means I have two solutions:
    - Passing the LPOR instead of the object reference to the rule container => Not a very nice solution, for many different reasons.
    - Find an alternative to swc_get_element to get the LPOR value.
    I had a look at class cl_swf_cnt_container, and it seems it can do the trick for me.
    So what I will finally do is:
    1. Convert the BOR container into an instance of cl_swf_cnt_container.
      DATA: lo_cnt    TYPE REF TO if_swf_cnt_container,
                 lt_container TYPE swconttab.
      lt_container[] = ac_container[].
      TRY.
          CALL METHOD cl_swf_cnt_container=>if_swf_cnt_conversion~create_from_bor_container
            EXPORTING
              values                = lt_container
            RECEIVING
              container           = lo_cnt.
        CATCH cx_swf_utl_obj_create_failed.
      ENDTRY.
    2. Get my container element.
    DATA: lo_myobj TYPE REF TO zcl_class.
    CALL METHOD lo_cnt->if_swf_ifs_parameter_container~get
      EXPORTING
        name       = 'MyContainerElement'
      IMPORTING
        value      = lo_myobj
    I didn't take the time to debug that deep in the standard SAP code, but I assume the if_swf_ifs_parameter_container~get re-instantiates my class for me.
    Please feel free to comment.
    Kind regards,
    Patrick

  • ERROR: serializable class HelloComponent does not declare a static final

    Hi everyone! I'm sorry but I'm a newbie to Java and I'm having some, I assume, basic problems learning to compile and run with javac. Here is my code:

    import java.awt.* ;
    public class MyJava {
    * @param args
    public static void main(String[] args)

    And here is the error:

    ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT! THANKS! =)

    Every time I extend GameLoop, it gives me the warning
    serializable class X does not declare a static final serialVersionUID field of type long
    This is just a warning. You do not need to fix this because the class you are writing will never be serialized by the gaming engine. If you really want the warning to go away, add the code to your class:
    static final long serialVersionUID=0;

    Hi,
    I' have used Tomcat 4.0.3 with XSQL Servlet 9.2 for about a half year. All is working fine. When I now change to 4.1.18 the most things are also working fine. The are to problems:
    1. I have to save the XSQLConfig.xml in a jar file.
    2. My fop serializer doesn't work any longer. I'm getting all the time the following error: XSQL-022: Cannot load serializer class oracle.xml.xsql.serializers.fop203.
    I'm using the XDK 9.2.0.4 with jsdk 1.4.1 and tomcat 4.1.18 on Redhat Linux.
    Has anyone had have the same problem? Has anyone a solution for this problem?
    Regards

    Does the XSQLSampleSerializer exhibit the same problem?
    That is, can we rule out the fact that it's related at all to FOP?
    If you browse the following page, does it work?
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <?xml-stylesheet serializer="java:oracle.xml.xsql.serializers.XSQLSampleSerializer"?>
    <foo-with-java/>This sample serializer should be in your xsqlserializers.jar file.

  • Non serializable class in biztalk

    Is it possible to have a non serializable class in a biztalk application?
    Christiane

    Hi Christiane,
    Yes, it can be used in orchestration but in an atomic scope only.
    Steps to call a Non-Serializable .NET Helper Class inside an Expression Shape(The DLL that contains the class must be strongly signed and placed in the GAC):
     1.Add a reference to that class.
     2.Add an Atomic scope.
     3.Create an Orchestration variable of that class inside the scope.
     4.Create an instance on that object inside the scope.
     5.Call the method.

  • Serializable class throwing class cast exception.

    All,
    I have a serializable class name 'Owner' and while login to the application, i put the object of this class in the session. Later in my application, when i am trying to retrieve this obejct from the session using the following code, throwing class cast exception.
    Owner owner =(Owner)request.getSession().getAttribute(     WebKeys.LOGGEDINOWNER_OWNER_KEY)
    This piece of code works fine in test enviornment(single server), but fails in production which is clustered enviornment.
    Any help will be appreciated

    What could be the problem with class loader ? How can
    i confirm that ? What is the solution ?Change it into:
    Object owner = request.getSession().getAttribute(WebKeys.LOGGEDINOWNER_OWNER_KEY);
    System.out.println(owner.getClass() + " : " + Owner.class);And see what it prints..

  • How to use application class reference in the controller methods of BSP

    Hi,
    I have created a bsp application and also created an application class and assigned it to the application class. In the application class, I have created attribute TEXT type string(public and instance parameter).
    In the controller let's say main.do, I am trying to give a value to to the text by adding the following code.
    application->text = 'test'.
    I am getting syntax error saying field 'text' is unknown. It is not contained in one of the specified tables nor defined by DATA statement.
    Please can someone let me know how to use the application class in the coding with an example. I couldn't find how exactly this has to be reference. Please help.
    Best regards
    Siva

    Hi,
    if you are having main controller and sub-controller then you may need to use below coding to use application class reference.
    *Data declaration
      DATA:  obj_cntrl        TYPE REF TO cl_bsp_controller2,
             obj_sub_cntrl   TYPE REF TO z_cl_sub_cntl,
             application TYPE REF TO z_cl_application.
    *Get the controller
      CALL METHOD obj_main_cntrl->get_controller   "obj_main_cntrl is the object of main controller
        EXPORTING
          controller_id       = 'SUB'   "Controller ID
        RECEIVING
          controller_instance = obj_cntrl  .
      obj_sub_cntrl ?= obj_cntrl  .
      application ?= obj_sub_cntrl ->application.
    or simply use below code in your controller method.
      application ?= me->application.
    Thnaks,

  • Link between classes: Reference Error

    Hi,
    I am still trying to create a movie clip array to make a list of objects appear on stage and have the user interact with them.
    This will be my game loop class called "LetterArray()".
    My main class is called "BugGoopFSGame()".
    After I add the line of code below into my LetterArray(). as class file I get the error message below:
    Code entered:
    private var  lettersL1:Array = new Array[a,f,g,h,i,n,o,s,t];
    This is the error message I get:
    ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property [object T] not found on S and there is no default value.
        at LetterArray()
        at BugGoopFSGame()
    I am sure the reference I use between the two files are not good. Can you please tell me what code I should add and where.
    Thanks for your help!
    Charine
    This is the code in my main class - BugGoopFSGame()
    package
        import flash.display.*;
        import flash.utils.Timer;
        import flash.events.*;
        import flash.events.MouseEvent;
        import flash.media.Sound;
        import flash.events.Event;
        import flash.media.SoundChannel;
        import flash.media.SoundMixer;
        import flash.media.SoundTransform;
        import flash.text.*;
        import flash.net.URLRequest;
        public class BugGoopFSGame extends MovieClip
            public var mybackground:BackGround;
            public var letterArray:LetterArray = new LetterArray(stage); //this is how I link from main to gameloop
    This is the coce in my gameloop class - LetterArray()
    package
        import flash.display.*;
        import flash.events.*;
        import flash.text.*;
        import flash.utils.Timer;
        import flash.media.Sound;
        import flash.media.SoundChannel;
        import flash.net.URLRequest;
        public class LetterArray extends MovieClip
            private var _stage:Stage; //this reference works well to the main file. Should I somehow link it to the errorous code below?
            /*Movie clips that need to go into an array    */
            //level 1
            public var a:A = new A();
            public var f:F = new F();
            public var g:G = new G();
            public var h:H = new H();
            public var i:I = new I();
            public var n:N = new N();
            public var o:O = new O();
            public var s:S = new S();
            public var t:T = new T();
            private var letterArray:Array;
            private var  lettersL1:Array = new Array[a,f,g,h,i,n,o,s,t]; //this is the line that causes the error. I am sure it is because I need to add something to the main class.

    if, for example, A is a class name, you should use "A" and then use getDefinitionByName() to retrieve the class reference from the string.
    private var  lettersL1:Array = new Array['A','F','G','H','I','N','O','S','T'];
    for(var i:int=0;i<lettersL1.length;i++){
    var C:Class=Class(getDefinitionByName(lettersL1[i]));  // import flash.utils.getDefinitionByName
    var c:*=new C(); // create instances from the classes in lettersL1
    // do whatever with c
    or, move those instanciation statements into your LetterArray constructor or somewhere beyond like:
    package
        import flash.display.*;
        import flash.events.*;
        import flash.text.*;
        import flash.utils.Timer;
        import flash.media.Sound;
        import flash.media.SoundChannel;
        import flash.net.URLRequest;
        public class LetterArray extends MovieClip
            private var _stage:Stage; //this reference works well to the main file. Should I somehow link it to the errorous code below?
            private var letterArray:Array;
            private var  lettersL1:Array; //this is the line that causes the error. I am sure it is because I need to add something to the main class.
            public function LetterArray(ss:Stage):void{
                var a:A = new A();
                var f:F = new F();
                 etc
                lettersL1 = [a,f,...]
                _stage = ss;

  • How can i use class reference from an array effeciently?

    Hi,
    I made some test here with getting a class reference from an array and using the reference's methods or variables.
    Basically arrayEx is a container of type Array and it contains the Person's class instance in it. Num is a number extracted from the Person's instance
    Example #1----Strongly typed
    Var reference:Person;
    Var num:int;
    //Assignation
    reference=arrayEx[0];-----IT IS SLOW HERE
    //Use
    num=reference.number --- IT IS FAST HERE
    Example #2---Not typed
    Var reference:*;
    Var num:int;
    //Assignation
    reference=arrayEx[0]; ---- IT IS FAST HERE
    //Use
    num=reference.number ---IT IS SLOW HERE
    No matter what i change in both code like casting Person on arrayEx, i cant seem to make them work both fast at the same time
    If someone knows how, please tell me,
    Dominik

  • XSQL-022 error on using FOP - serializer class not found; urgent!

    Hi all,
    currently using XDK 9.2.0.1.0. On trying to invoke Apache FOP serializer I just get the following error message:
    XSQL-022: Cannot load serializer class oracle.xml.xsql.serializers.fopserializer
    and I really don't know why....
    Running XSQL Servlet within Tomcat 4 Engine, but error pops up using both, Tomcat way and/or just the commandline invoker xsql.bat.
    Generally XSQL Servlet is working correctly.
    My classpath setting contains:
    xmlparserv2.jar; batik.jar; classes12.jar; fop.jar; fopserializer.jar; oraclexsql.jar; sax2.jar; xalan-2.0.0.jar; xalanj1compat.jar; xerces-1.2.3.jar; xschema.jar; XSQLConfig.jar; xsu12.jar
    The serializer being redefined in XSQLConfig is just:
    <serializer>
    <name>FOP203</name>
    <class>oracle.xml.xsql.serializers.fopserializer</class>
    </serializer>
    This is because of using FOP 0.20.3, so having my own serializer class due to API change in FOP 0.20.x; my fopserializer is looking like that:
    package oracle.xml.xsql.serializers;
    import org.w3c.dom.Document;
    import java.io.PrintWriter;
    import oracle.xml.xsql.*;
    import org.apache.fop.messaging.MessageHandler;
    import org.apache.fop.apps.*;
    import java.io.*;
    // FOP 0.20.3 Serializer implementation for XSQL
    public class fopserializer implements XSQLDocumentSerializer
    private static final String PDFMIME="application/pdf";
    public void serialize(Document doc, XSQLPageRequest req) throws Throwable
    try
    Driver FOPDriver = new Driver();
    FOPDriver.setRenderer(FOPDriver.RENDER_PDF);
    MessageHandler.setOutputMethod(MessageHandler.NONE);
    FOPDriver.setupDefaultMappings();
    req.setContentType(PDFMIME);
    FOPDriver.setOutputStream(req.getOutputStream());
    FOPDriver.render(doc);
    catch (Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace(System.err);
    In my XSQL file I'm using the following PI:
    <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="listemps.fo" serializer="FOP203"?>
    Any suggestions what is wrong in here ?
    Can't use the original xsqlserializer.jar either - same error.
    Thanks in advance
    Jochen

    Hi Jochen,
    I'm working with Tomcat 4.0.3, FOP 20.0.3 and XDK 9.2.0.1.0, too.
    I've copied all the jar-files into tomcat/common/lib. I think that you can't use the MessageHandler in fop20.0.3. I'm using the following serializer:
    package diva.xml.xsql.serializers;
    import org.w3c.dom.Document;
    import java.io.PrintWriter;
    import oracle.xml.xsql.*;
    import org.apache.fop.apps.*;
    import org.apache.log.*;
    import org.apache.log.format.*;
    import org.apache.log.output.io.*;
    import org.apache.avalon.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class XSQLFOP203Serializer implements XSQLDocumentSerializer {
    private static final String PDFMIME = "application/pdf";
    private static final String CONFPATH = "/usr/local/fop/conf/userconfig.xml";
    public void serialize(Document doc, XSQLPageRequest env) throws Throwable {
    try {
    // Open user config file
    File userConfigFile = new File(CONFPATH);
    Options options = new Options(userConfigFile);
    // First make sure we can load the driver
    Driver FOPDriver = new Driver();
    // Setup logging
    Hierarchy hierarchy = Hierarchy.getDefaultHierarchy();
    PatternFormatter formatter = new PatternFormatter("[%{priority}]: %{message}\n%{throwable}" );
    LogTarget target = null;
    target = new StreamTarget(System.out, formatter);
    hierarchy.setDefaultLogTarget(target);
    Logger log = hierarchy.getLoggerFor("fop");
    log.setPriority(Priority.INFO);
    FOPDriver.setLogger(log);
    // Then set the content type before getting the reader/
    env.setContentType(PDFMIME);
    FOPDriver.setRenderer(FOPDriver.RENDER_PDF);
    FOPDriver.setOutputStream(env.getOutputStream());
    FOPDriver.render(doc);
    catch (Exception e) {
    // Cannot write PDF output for the error anyway.
    // So maybe this stack trace will be useful info
    e.printStackTrace(System.err);
    Hope this helps

  • Class reference internal table

    Hello Gurus,
    i have an internal table filled with class references and i need to acces the one field of a structure of every class.
    I am now trying something like this:
    loop ref_table assigning <l_wrk_ref_but0id>.
          IF <l_wrk_ref_but0id>->m_str_but0id-type = /gkv/cd40_cl_const=>con_pkkv.
          ENDIF.
    endloop.
    I need the field "type" in the structure "m_str_but0id" of every class (reference) in the table. The error that i'm getting is: "Field m_str_but0id unknown".
    Please help.
    Ioan Constantin.

    Hello Ioan
    You have to access the field dynamically as well:
    DATA:
       ld_structure  TYPE <name of structure>,
       ld_attribute    TYPE tabname,
       ld_field          TYPE fieldname.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS:
      <ls_struct>     TYPE any,
      <ld_fld>           TYPE any.
    ld_attribute = 'M_STR_BUT0ID'.
    ld_field       = 'TYPE'.
    loop ref_table assigning <l_wrk_ref_but0id>.
         ASSIGN <l_wrk_ref>but0id>->(ld_attribute) TO <ls_struct>.
         ASSIGN COMPONENT (ld_field) OF STRUCTURE <ls_struct> TO <ld_fld>.
    "      IF <l_wrk_ref_but0id>->m_str_but0id-type = /gkv/cd40_cl_const=>con_pkkv.
           IF ( <ld_fld> = /gkv/cd40_cl_const=>con_pkkv ).
          ENDIF.
    endloop.
    Even simpler might be the following approach:
    LOOP AT ref_table assigning <l_wrk_ref_but0id>
                    WHERE ( table_line->m_str_but0id-type = /gkv/cd40_cl_const=>con_pkkv ).
    ENDLOOP.
    " Assumption: Itab has class reference type as line type.

  • WMI Class Reference for Dynamics CRM Performance Counters

    Hello,
    I am trying to monitor a MS Dynamics CRM 2013 instance using the
    Performance Counters provided.
    I will be writing VB Script to collect the performance counter data via WMI.
    I couldn't find out the WMI class reference the Dynamics CRM 2013 performance counters.
    What I meant was, some thing similar to the 'Windows Server Cluster' Object and Performance counter class, as given below.
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa965285%28v=vs.85%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
    Help me on this.
    Regards,
    Krishna.

    Hi David,
    Sorry for posting in the wrong forum. Will correct it in future.
    I can't use the Perfmon as I have a java application which will call the VB Script periodically to collect the data. I need to write both VB Script and Powershell scripts. I need to have the class reference to understand the data type of each attribute in
    a performance counter. For ex,
    The 'CRMAuthentication' counter has the following attributes.
    Caption
    ClaimsAuthenticationAttemptsInTheLastMinute
    ClaimsAuthenticationFailuresInTheLastMinute
    Description
    It is necessary to understand the datatype each attributes in the all Performance Counters.

    Krishna.
