Service calls in XL reporter don't work

Hello,
I try to create a report with XL reporter using the service call datas. I find everything in the composer but in the designer part, the system doesn't show me anything (I have a lot of datas in my database). No error message, I have only a white page... All the other report based on other datas work...
Is someone has already created a report for service call using XL reporter?

Hi,
For reports to work in the Designer screen (in excel) you need to include at least one measure (amount or quantity field that looks like a #Y$ type field) in the report.
You can hide the field if don't need to see it. I can't remember if there are any measures in the service module though.
If you don't include a measure the report will return data in the composer screen but not in the 2nd screen.

Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16

Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16
I need to make wsdl web service call in my weblogic app server. The web service is provided by a 3rd party vendor. I keep getting error
Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found
Certificate chain received from ws-eq.demo.xxx.com - xx.xxx.xxx.156 was not trusted causing SSL handshake failure
Validation error = 16
From the SSL debug log, I can see 3 verisign hierarchy certs are correctly loaded (see 3 lines in the log message starting with “adding as trusted cert”). But somehow after first handshake, I got error “Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found”.
Here is how I load trustStore and keyStore in my java program:

Here is how I create cacerts using verisign hierarchy certs (in this order)

Because my program is a weblogic app server, when I start the program, I have java command line options set as:
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore=SSLTrust.jks
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.enforceConstraints=strong
That SSLTrust.jks is the trust certificate from our web server which sits on a different box. In our config.xml file, we also refer to the SSLTrust.jks file when we bring up the weblogic app server.
In addition, we have working logic to use some other wsdl web services from the same vendor on the same SOAP server. In the working web service call flows, we use clientgen to create client stub, and use SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter to load trustStore and keyStore, and then bind the SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the webSerive client object and make the webservie call. For the new wsdl file, I am told to use wsimport to create client stub. In the client code created, I don’t see any way that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the client object, so I have to load certs by settting system pramaters. Here I attached the the wsdl file.
I have read many articles. It seems as long as I can install the verisign certs correctly to web logic server, I should have fixed the problem. Now the questions are:
1.     Do I create “cacerts” the correct order with right keeltool options?
2.     Since command line option “-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore” is used for web server jks certificate, will that cause any problem for me?
3.     Is it possible to use wsimport to generate client stub that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to it?
4.     Do I need to put the “cacerts” to some specific weblogic directory?

I received a workaround by an internal message.
The how to guide is :
-Download the wsdl file (with bindings, not the one from ESR)
-Correct it in order that the schema corresponds to the answer (remove minOccurs or other things like this)
-Deploy the wsdl file on you a server (java web project for exemple). you can deploy on your local
-Create a new logicial destination that point to the wsdl file modified
-Change the metadata destination in your web dynpro project for the corresponding model and keep the execution desitnation as before.
Then the received data is check by the metadata logical destination but the data is retrieved from the correct server.

Blocking service call with the same serial no

Hi,
One of my client having this requirement.
they are having two service centers, In one service center they posted the service call for the particular serial no. where as another user of the service center department try's to enter the same service call with same serial no system should block until the first service call is closed for that serial no.

Web Service Call with Basic Authentication does not work

If I try to use Basic Authentication in my Web Service Client with the automatically created methods
setUsername(inUserName)
setPassword(inPassword)
setAddress(inAddress)
the application does not make a call. Did I forget something?

SAP Web Services Call with MQSeries

Hi all,
Our system is ECC 6.0 NW 7.0 SP15 with no PI and XI. Currently we can connect between SAP and Third party using web services call directly. However, our network & infrastructure team want to use MQseries as a message queue and broker.
We can connect to MQ using IDOC for asynchronous method. But for synchronous method, how can we connect to MQ? Can SAP call web services to MQ or pass the message to MQ synchronously? How to do that?

First of all, I do not think a Queueing system supports synchronous calls (Please correct me if I am wrong). The name it self says that, the system queues messages instead of immediately responding. May be if MQ seriese supports giving a transportation acknowledgement thus simulating the synchronous calls, it might support.
As per my understanding, queuing systems only support async messages.

Use the column 'RecordKey' as the index when creating a Service Call. Here is an example:

You will have to use valid codes (that already exist in the system) for ContactCode, ContractID, CustomerCode, CallType, and Origin, and also a valid Queue. Some of these fields are mandatory, but I can't remember which. Add extra fields if you need them.
This should create 3 new calls in the system and generate the CallID automatically.

Web service call with v3 client cert in CF8

I'm trying to call an external web service which requires a
v3 client certificate be installed on our end. Our code platform is
CF8, which I understand supports v3 certs. I've imported the
external party's client cert into the CF server's cert store
(cacerts) via keytool, and confirmed it's there. I've restarted the
CF server. How do I attach the certificate to the cfhttp call to
the external web service? I figure I can use a cfhttpparam, but am
not sure what type to use, and what the value should be. Thanks in

SWA: Web Services call with attachment using 10.1.3 preview?

Has anyone managed to figure out how to invoke a web service with an attachment (using SWA, SOAP with Attachments) with the new 10.1.3 preview release?
Or are there any samples/documents that can point me in the right direction on how to do this?

Finally got 10.1.3 installed, and sure enough, there is an example for the use of SWA (SOAP with Attachments), both as client and as server.
But the notes say it won't run with Oracle Lite DB. Makes me wonder why?
Kinda sucks, since that is what we're using for our proof of concept. <sigh>

Web Service Call with XI fails at SOAP Adapter

Hi,
I am currently trying to call a web service that is located in the Internet via XI using the SOAP Receiver Adapter. In the ABAP Monitoring (SXMB_MONI) the call is successfull. But when I check the Message Monitoring in the Runtime Workench I see the message failed in the SOAP Adapter. It stays in status 'wait' for some time and the shows a system error. I was able to call the Web Service via a SOAP Test Tool, i.e. the service is available and working.
Any ideas why the message fails in the SOAP Adapter? What are the steps to find the root cause?

Expenses Report in Service Module

I want to generate a report covering all expenses against the service calls against an equipment.

Well basicaly you need to link the document expenses table (SCL4) to the service call table (OSCL). That will show all service calls with expense documents. So a query like below will give you all the info
SELECT T1.callID, T1.subject, T1.customer, T1.custmrName, T1.itemCode, T1.itemName, T0.DocNumber FROM SCL4 T0 left outer join OSCL T1 on T0.SrcvCallID=T1.callID
But this just gives you the relvant documents and so on. It doesn't give you a monetary value. To get i monetary value you'll have to join with the actualy documents (Invoice). If you are doing it in sdk it should not be difficult. If you want to do it through a query it's most probably possible......will need to be good in SQL. The above should get you off to a good start.

WLPI - Problem with AI Service Call in Task with AI Service start - Variables

Within WLPI I cannot succesfully call an AI service with variables that have been
collected via an AI start. These variables have been collected ok as I have done
an XPath on the variable and succesfully stored them in a string Variable. So
a succesfully AI start is working. The issue is when I try to pass these values
I have collected in their respective string variables to the next task which I
will be executing an AI Service. I do this by setting a workflow variable and
using the schema for the AI service. In the XML structure screen, I have put the
string variable at the respective element. So on the left I have my element and
on the right I have inserted my value (i.e, $strLastName).
When I run the workflow, I do not see any inserts on the AI service I am calling.
However, when I hard code a value in the XML schema "HELLO " + strFirstName it
of course inserts Hello but not the value (i.e, strFirstName). So I know I have
the correct assignment of variable to be set etc. Also, without the hardcoding
it is inserting a blank row (i.e, value='').
Please, help with this issue.

I have created an AI application view and a BPM workflow that demonstrates how to
populate an AI service call with strings extracted from an AI event response
document. This workflow also demonstrates concatination of literal strings with
string variables.
Here are some steps that you will need to follow to setup this AI application view
and workflow:
1. startweblogic from either the
'samples' or 'mydomain' found under WLI_HOME/applinteg/config. (Note, if you start
from 'mydomain', be sure to populate your database repository with the scripts in
WLI_HOME/repository/, WLI_HOME/processintegrator/ddl, and
WLI_HOME/applinteg/dev/dbms/src/sql.)
2. Open a web browser to http://<machine>:<port>/wlai
Examples:
from samples domain
http://localhost:7603/wlai
Login as system/system
from mydomain
http://localhost:7601/wlai
Login as admin/security
3. Create a folder named 'DBMS' and go into that folder
4. Create a folder in the 'DBMS' folder named 'DBMS_A' and go into that folder

6. Add an event that triggers on insert named 'insEvt'
7. Add a service named 'updTemp' that executes the following SQL...

13. Import the attached workflow package 'TestXmlVar.jar'
14. Trigger the workflow my testing 'insSvc' from the Application View Summary web
page. Fill in the service parameters with a firstname, lastname, city, and email.
Press test to start the test.
15. List the contents of CUSTOMER_TABLE by testing the 'listCusomers' AI service or
by doing a select on that table in your database.
Results:
You should notice that the customer you inserted has a city name that is now in the
form "New "<city>" City".
Look at the Start node actions to see the population of the city and lastname string
variables. Look at the request cocument in the AddToCity task for the updTemp
service call by clicking edit on the request document variable. You will notice that
the LASTNAME field was populated with the strLastName variable and the CITY element
is populated with the strCity variable with "New " and " City" appended to both ends.

Service call report - overdue ??

On the main menu [service] -> [service reports] -> [service call'] the first report.
After executing it, the report has one column named "overdue", could you pls advise how to tell it's overdue or not? what's the date the report used to compare?

BPM - Expense Report Tutorial

Hi,
I am a newbie to ORA_BPM. So far, Ive been able to get through (builds & deploys without errors) activity 1 thru 4 and currently having a problem when running the work-flow app.
When I use the application as Peter Jones here are my observations:
1) Login as Peter Jones (individual contributor).
1.1) create 2 expense reports - under $25 and over $25
1.2) under $25 should be initially routed to Mary White (treasurer)
1.3) over $25 should be initially route to Paul Smith (Supervisor)
2) Login as Paul Smith - nothing is shown in his WorkItems/Inbox.
2.1) The over $25 expense report should be shown here
3) Login as Mary White - both reports are shown in her WorkItems/Inbox.
3.1) When I select one of the expense reports the "ConfirmReceipts" screen has no data from either of the expense reports?
The BPM tutorial seems to have a lot of errors in it and I've found the OTN forums helpful so far.

The problem's not on your end. The tutorial needs an overhaul especially around argument mapping.
Here's what you might do to fix your project.
1. Delete the extra instance variable in your Expense Report process named "reportSF". With the process open, and the Variables tab open, right mouse click the reportSF variable and click "Delete". You had two variables "report" and "reportSF" that store the same BPM Object throughout the process. While this is allowed, you set the "reportSF" in the Begin activity, but use the "report" variable throughout the process.
2. From the menu, click "File" -> "Save All". Note that after deleting the reportSF variable from the process you now have two errors in the "Problems" tab (if you do not see the problems tab, click "Windows" -> "Reset Perspective" -> click "Ok"). Note that there are two errors. One is in the End and one is in the Begin activity.
3. To fix the error in the End activity, double click the End activity -> click the dropdown that has "reportSF" and change it to the correct variable "report".
4. To fix the error in the Begin activity, double click the Begin activity -> click the dropdown that has "reportSF" and change it to the correct variable "report".
5. There is one more argument mapping problem. The outgoing argument variable that is set coming out of your Global Creation activity called "Create Expense Report" is "reportArg" (right mouse click the "Create Expense Report" activity -> click "Main Task" -> click the "Argument Mapping" button -> in the left panel click "Submit Report Out" -> change the variable on the left to be "reportSFArg". You could have used "reportArg" for this, but your Begin activity is expecting "reportSFArg" to be the variable with the incoming information already populated.
6. From the menu, click "File" -> "Save All" again. Start your engine and try it again.

Do you want to find out how many service calls are there against which there's no AR invoice made or you want to separate AR invoices routed from Service calls separately and the normal AR invoices separately.
If you want separate AR invoices for normal business and routed from Service call you could do so with the help of numbering series, but if you are looking for the first one i.e. how many service calls are there without an AR invoice maybe a sql based query will help you out.
