Service Orders gets saved but text at item level are not saved for all item

Hi All,
We have configured service order scenario. The service order gets saved in GUI and in WebUI. But we are facing issue that not all the text entered at item level are getting saved.
Example if we maintained text for 4 line items and save the SO.
We open the saved SO, we get only 3 line items with proper text
one of the line item text is not getting saved.
The issue happens at both GUI and WebUI.
Any pointers to fix this issue?

You can try clearing the buffer using 'CRM_ORDER_INITIALISE' followed by CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN" or TEXT_SAVE and TEXT_COMMIT, followed by BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT with wait.

I’m not sure what you mean by not saved, but if you expect to copy a current translated page into a new page, and inherent the translation in the new page, the answer is NO, it’s not saved.
Adding a new page to your application, even by copying an existing page, is a major change in your primary language application, which create multiple new independent elements in your application (after the page has been copied, there isn’t any link between it and the original page). You need to re-seed the primary application, export a new XLIFF file, and translate the new <trans-unit> that were added to it.

Business area not determined for line item?

Hello All,
I am trying to create a sales order. When I enter a line item and enter plant for the item, it gives me an error "Business area not determined for the line item #" and it does not accept the item.
I have already checked in the enterprise structure in IMG that the business area is defined and assigned for this plant.
Is there anything else need to be done? Do we have to define or assign the business area in material master?
I would appreciate if somebody can answer.

There are three rules for determining a business area:
o   Rule 1: plant and division
o   Rule 2: for each sales area
o   Rule 3: for each plant and item division

TS1474 Inspite of following the instructions for authorization of my iMac and my ipad I am unable to sync a movie from my iMac to my ipad. All I get is a message that says you are not authorized for it on this computer. Any idea what is wrong?

One workarwound is to do the following:
1. Remove the digital content from iTunes (but keep the files)
2. Rename all .m4v files to .mp4 files
3. Add the files back to iTunes
This seems to fix the problem for me

This column cannot enforce unique values because this list or document library may contain items that are not viewable by all users.

The above error occurs when I place unique constraint on a column in a custom list. This error only occurs because the custom list has been configured to only allow creaters to view and edit their own list items.
I just can't see why that should prevent SP from placing a unique value constraint though.
One easy workaround would be to place the unique constraint on the SQL Server table that represents this list. However, in a hosted environment, it is not always possible to gain access to the backend server. What is more, I am uncomfortable with this
approach as it may break other parts of SP 2010.
Is there any other approach?

If SharePoint were to enforce uniqueness on a column in a list where users are only allowed to see and edit list items that have created, then you could have a scenario where -
a. user1 tries to add a new item to the list which violates the uniqueness constraint
b. SharePoint reports an error
c. user1 gets to know that there is another item containing the same value in this list
d. this violates the security settings that you configured (each user should be allowed to only see the items that they have created). Now if you change the permissions settings to allow users to SEE all items, but only
edit items that they have created, this error disappears (obviously).
Now getting to the workaround you mentioned (creating a unique constraint on the SQL Server table). This is not going to be possible for numerous reasons -
a. Modifying (or for that matter, even performing SELECT operations on) the SQL Server tables is an unsupported operation and it will definetely break other things in SharePoint, not
to mention that you will lose all support options from Microsoft. However if you don't care about this, then it will still not be technically possible because...
1. SharePoint does not create a new SQL Server table for every list/library.
2. If you did get around to enforcing a unique constraint in the one single table that SharePoint uses for all lists, then you will be enforcing this constraint on each and every list in all the sites and in all the site
collections that are assigned to that content database.

I'm having trouble transfering my garage band documents from my iPad mini to my iMac. iTunes recognizes the device, but when I select the app to add or save files to... nothing appears there, as if I had not recorded anything on my iPad. Can anyone help me?

to make your files to appear in the apps section of iTunes you have to take some steps.
- go to Garageband on your iPad
- tap My Songs to go to the list of your songs (if your are not already there )
- tap Select
- select one song
- tap the share button (top left)
- tap itunes
- you are then asked to chose a format. There is an explation for each format.
- Choose one
- repeat the last 5 steps with every song you want to transfer.
- when your done tap done
The songs should now appear when you connect the iPad.

Goods Issue error - batches not defined for delivery item

Hi,
We are getting a Goods Issue error u201CThe batches are not defined for delivery item 000010u201D.   We are only getting this error for a material that is being shipped against a particular third party sales scheduling agreement. We went live in 2007 and we had no issues, but when we had to create a new Sched Agreement this year, for third party sales, we started to get this error. However, if we re-activate the old scheduling agreement we do not get the error. We have a batch job that executes the following steps:
1.     VL06IG (collective goods receipt)
2.     VL10 (collective delivery)
3.     VL06O (collective GI)
We have compared the 2 scheduling agreements and see no difference. We are assuming it has something to do with how the scheduling agreement was setup, but are not sure. Any suggestions on how to correct this problem would be much appreciated.

The material has not changed at all. I'm not sure what you mean by maintaining batches while receipt of the material.
If I re-open the old scheduling agreement, we do not get the error message. However, as soon as we use the new SD scheduling agreement, we get the error. We are using the same material master on both scheduling agreements.

Item level security not working when placed in a portlet page

I have three page links linking to separate pages and have two of them with item level security turned on for specific groups with view privilges. I have the access for those groups with view privilges in the page level as well. I have published that as portlet and placed the portlet in another page which has view priviliges for the groups specified in item level as well.
But I notice that when i place the portlet in a page, the item level security is not working.
Item Level Security Not Working for Items Placed on a page and published as portlet and placed in another page. Is there some work around for this.

Would you please clarify for me? Is the problem that unauthorized people can see the portlet, or that unauthorized people can see the links?

Text fields populated from lov mapping are not saved to database

Hi Everyone,
I'm having a wierd problem. My requirement is to autopopulate two text fields field 2 and field 3 when a value is selected from lov in field1 and save all the values to database on click of a submit button.
Using lov mapping i'm able to populate field 2 and field 3 with corresponding values based on the value selected in field1. And also field2 and field3 should be in the readonly mode so that user cannot change the value.
So to make the fields readonly i have changed the property of readonly to true for field2 and field3. But if I change the readonly property, the values for field2 and field3 are not being saved to database.
The values are getting saved to database only when readonly = true for messageTextInput item type or if the item type is a form value.
I also tried disable = true, which also didnt work.
I tried to debug by writing some sop statements in PFR, but these statements also returned null for pageContext.getParameter("field2") etc;
Can anyone please tell me how to solve this problem?

I forgot to mention that , I also tried messageStyledText. Which also didn't work. I wanted to use vo.setAttribute as my last option, but i wanted to understand why the values are not saved to database when the text item is showing the values on the page.

Redetermine Routes for all items when ship-to-party gets changed

Dear All,
I have one requirement with respect to determination.
Right now when we create any order using "VA01" and entering ship to party, sold to party,material and order quantity and if press enter we are able to get the route number for that item and to get the route number they have written the code in user exit "MV45AFZZ" in FORM USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBEP. Up to this OK.
And if they change the ship to party at header level and press enter it will ask for
Shipping conditions were changed,Redetermine routes and shipping for all items?
and if press redetermine again it will ask Ship-to party has been changed Redetermine plant/shipping point ?.
But when i press redetermine it's not picking any route number for that item, and to pick the route number we should write some code, but i didn't find the correct place to write in userexit.
Please let me know where should i write the code in userexit, and if possible send sample code as well.

Item Description not popping for some items in Sales Order

Hello Experts,
We have upgraded ourselves to SAP B1 8.82 PL01. When posting the Sales Order, for some of the Items, the Item Description and other details which come automatically once the item code is selected are not displaying.
We have tested by creating a dummy item (this creation, I have opened an item for which details are not displayed, duplicated the item, and gave a new code). When I used this test item code, all the details are popping up.
Can anyone throw some light on where I could have gone wrong.

I think you must have to perform Data Checkup in SAP.
For doing so please do this......
Go to Administration> System Initialization> General Setting> Services> Tick on Perform data Check. Then relogin in SAP again and once process done please check this in Sales Order........

Hi Claud,
SRM does not support hierarchy in service for operational documents like PO, contract, confirmation and invoice in SRM 7. It does support hierarchy in service only for RFx doucments. You need to activate the hierarchy template for SRM for that.

For a couple months now, every movie purchase through iTunes fails to transfer to my iPhone or iPad giving me the error: "some of the items in the iTunes library, including were not copied to the iPad because you are not authorized for them on this computer". I have read many forums about deleting, reinstalling, de-authorizing and authorizing my iMac through the iTunes store. Many suggestions don't work except to rename the movie to *.MP4 in Finder under the iTunes movie directory. I imagine this is a setting or a bug somewhere... any suggestions on how to bypass having to rename the files in Finder? My research into Google suggests this problem dates back to 2007 or so but it is now more prevalent than ever.

We do have a place in the UK which we could use as an address, but for various reasons it gets a bit complex even though we still have a UK bank account. We moved to France when there were no iDevices and apps around, just bought the occasional music, so it wasn't a problem. Funny thing is I can't even download the free UK bank app because it's not available in the French store .
I'll live with the problem for now as we plan to move back to the UK in a year or so - we miss the weather .
