Services Summarize?

Does anyone know how to access the summarize utility that used to be available in the Services Menu. It's not listed at:
http://www.macosxautomation.com/services/download/
ja

You actually need to reenable the service.
Go to System Preferences > Keyboard, and in the Keyboard Shortcuts tab, select "Services" from the list on the left. Then in the list on the right, scroll down and you should see Summarize near the bottom. Tick the checkbox next to that and now when you right-click on highlighted text, it should have the Summarize option.

  • Everything on skype is not working, at all

Ok, so basically my whole skype is screwed, calls keep dropping, messages NEVER send, unless I am in a call with that person, group chats don't work, a tremendous amount of lag on start up usually resulting in me having to close skype and start it back up which doesn't always work. My Macbook is completely fine, it's just skype that is screwed, and my internet connection is fine.

Well, I certainly don't know much about this service, but I don't see that pasting text is supposed to be possible.  I thought you select text in a document and then went to Services "Summarize". The result being some sample of the selected text.
If you go to your Library folder (Hold option down, use the Finder Go menu) you can find some cache files and such for "SummaryService".  Maybe if you quit the SummaryService app, move those files elsewhere, and relaunch SummaryService?

  • Get Request Offerings by Service Offering using C#

    I utilized the thread
here to build a function to get all request offerings for a specific service offering. However, no data is being returned to the relationship object list. I'm not getting any errors and I've verified there are indeed request offerings assigned to this service
offering. I must be missing something small.
    public static IList<RequestOffering> AllRequestOfferings(ServiceOfferingType ServiceOffering)
ManagementPackRelationship mpRelaltionshipSOToRO = mg.EntityTypes.GetRelationshipClass(new Guid("BE417A55-6622-0FC3-FCEA-90CD23E0FC23")); //Define the relationship class as so to ro
    IList<EnterpriseManagementRelationshipObject<EnterpriseManagementObject>> lstEMROsSOtoRO = mg.EntityObjects.GetRelationshipObjectsWhereSource<EnterpriseManagementObject>(ServiceOffering.Id, mpRelaltionshipSOToRO, DerivedClassTraversalDepth.None, TraversalDepth.OneLevel, ObjectQueryOptions.Default);
    IList<RequestOffering> RequestOfferings = new List<RequestOffering>();
    foreach (EnterpriseManagementRelationshipObject<EnterpriseManagementObject> emro in lstEMROsSOtoRO)
    ExtensionIdentifier ei = SpecificRequestOfferingExtensionId(emro.TargetObject.Id);
    RequestOffering ro = SpecificRequestOffering(ei);
    RequestOfferings.Add(ro);
    return RequestOfferings;
    Any help is appreciated.
    Lefka

I assume by "specific Request Offering class" you mean the .NET "RequestOffering" class object/instance? (That's the one you retrieve via the Extensions interface.)
Like I described in the post in your other thread, once you have the EnterpriseManagementObject, you can retrieve the .NET "RequestOffering" class object/instance like this:
    ExtensionIdentifier ei = null;
ExtensionIdentifier.TryParse(emoRO[null,"ID"].Value.ToString(), out ei); //emoRO[null,"ID"].Value.ToString() returns the request offering's extension identifier
    RequestOffering RO = emg.Extensions.Retrieve<RequestOffering>(ei);
Notice the emoRO[null,"ID"].Value.ToString(). That's the "RequestOffering" extension Identifier needed to retrieve the "RequestOffering" class object/instance. emoRO[null,"ID"] is a _different_ ID than emoRO.Id
You're dealing with SDK .NET classes and objects/instances as well as SCSM classes and objects. They are two different object-oriented concepts. Let me offer a little primer that will hopefully clarify what you're working with :)
First are the SCSM classes and objects. For example, System.RequestOffering is an SCSM class. Your specific request offering is an object of that class (it's an SCSM object). Relationships exist between these SCSM objects (for example, between a request
    offering and its service offering).
Next are the SDK .NET classes and objects/instances. "EnterpriseManagementObject" is the .NET class used to represent SCSM objects. An object/instance of this class, for example emoRO, represents a specific SCSM object. The SCSM object's properties
can be accessed via square brackets (ie: emoRO[null,"property"]). Additionally, the emoRO itself has members that further identify the SCSM object, for example, the emoRO.Id property. That emoRO.Id property is the unique identifier for the SCSM
    object (and nothing else).
Now, on top of all that are the SDK's .NET "RequestOffering" class objects/instances that you retrieve via the Extensions interface. In order to retrieve one of these "RequestOffering" class objects/instances, you have to know its
Extension Identifier. This extension identifier is stored in the request offering SCSM object in it's "ID" property.
So, to try and summarize (since I tend to ramble on and on):
You're going to retrieve a Service Offering SCSM Object. Next, you're going to retrieve the related request offering SCSM objects (which you've already done). Then, using the [null,"ID"] value from that request offering SCSM object, you're going
to retrieve an instance of the .NET RequestOffering class via the Extensions interface.
So to answer your question, you don't "convert" entity objects to extension objects. You use the values stored in entity objects to retrieve extension objects. :)
(I don't know if this will help or hurt any clarification, but take a look at the request offering SCSM object's PresentationMappingTemplate value. It's a block of XML. That block of XML is a 'serialized' .NET RequestOffering class instance/object.
Basically, when you retrieve a RequestOffering object/instance, the SDK is pulling that block of XML from the request offering SCSM object's PresentationMappingTemplate and deserializing it into a .NET RequestOffering object/instance)

  • Does Anyone Feel That Palm's Repair Service Seems Shaky?

My Palm TX suffered from the same headphone socket defect that many other TX owners posted about.  The socket worked fine for a while but then the internal switch jammed and the external speaker no longer worked.  I made a call to service and set up a repair.  It sounded simple enough. Ship the unit to us and we will fix it. A person by the name of "Nobody" from Innovate-It.com sent me the SRO number and shipping details on 11/25 and off I went to the post office on 11/26. I shipped it USPS with tracking, delivery confirmation and insurance.  The post office tracking was going well until 11/26 when the message "Missent" appeared in the tracking information. Missent? Where did it go?Then on 12/01 the message "Notice Left" came up in the activity alerts.  Where exactly is the repair center that no one was there at 12:15 p.m.? It sounded like they were dropping it off at someone's house and no one was home.
Here is what I know so far about Palm's repair service.  From what I have researched, Innovate-It is a repair logistics subset of a Netherlands-based software development company and has other clients besides Palm.  (Why does everything need to be outsourced? I would pay more for a Palm if they would just keep tech support in-house. But in this global economy nothing is 100% "Made in USA" anyway so it comes as no surprise).
The unit was finally delivered on 12/02 but the Self Service page did not indicate "In Repair" until 12/08 at 2:33 p.m.  and it has not changed since. How long does it take to diagnose a simple audio circuit?  If people have been able to remedy this issue with WD-40 on a Q-Tip WITHOUT opening the unit, what is the holdup at the repair center for a warranty repair in which it is OK to open the casing? Furthermore, the confirmation email says that DHL is supposed to deliver the unit back to me and the Self Service page gives a tracking link page for FedEx.  I am worried about my TX getting home at all.  Aren't there any repair centers in the Chicagoland area authorized by Palm?
To summarize  We spend enough on the unit itself and then have to pay to ship it to a repair facility to which no contact is possible and our only indication anything is going on is Self Service screen that gives little details about where a work order is in the cue, what the turnaround time will be, and when it will be returned. "No need to call us[?]" I think the repair facility needs to have a contact number available for customers to check on their repairs.  A total quality product includes the people who stand behind it.  That includes support and repair personnel.  Right now, service is not scoring points with me.
UPDATE: PLEASE SEE MY NEW THREAD "Palm's Shaky Repair Service Has Found Solid Ground". The rapid response to this message impressed me, and I felt it was appropriate to acknowledge their efforts.

  • What is the best way to build a career path where I can evolve into an SAP role instead of one that is Customer Service based?

In October 2011, my previous employer converted to SAP, as the rest of the worldwide entities were already using SAP. At that time, I was an Order Coordinator, where my job role was to process all of the Inside/Outside Sales Representatives orders for the US. Because of my keen attention to detail, the speed in which I learn new roles and general IT knowledge, I was asked to be the SAP SuperUser for our Financial Operations team. I quickly began to learn the roles of Order-to-Cash, Customer Master Data, Pricing Conditions, Contracts, some Material Master Data, and even Customer/Material Pricing Audits. I also performed manual customer billing in SAP until the automatic modules were implemented. Knowledge of these roles created a need for me to become a trainer to my team, where the SAP Consultants left off. After only working in SAP for the few months after the conversion started, I evolved out of an Order Coordinator rights of access and was given a not-so-typical role as an "analyst". I had more than a firefighter role in SAP, as my normal log in credentials gave me full rights to all of these modules and even special reporting. Our parent global company realized necessity for my role and followed proper protocol to authorize the access changes to still meet the SOx regulations. Prior to using SAP, I never thought I'd fall in love with it and enjoy my job so much, but it happened! Despite my previous employer's less than perfect data that was copied into SAP, we managed to have an efficient ongoing process to clean it all up.  I became more of a liaison between Financial Operations and our IT Dept/SAP Consultants. I "translated" the technical steps that IT/SAP Consultants were trying to teach everyone and trained my Financial Operations team in a way they would understand. I truly enjoyed my job, even at our most difficult moments.
However, after all of the fun I was having while working in SAP and truly gaining a ton of useful experience and knowledge, "life" happened and I had an opportunity to move from Atlanta, GA to southern California. I've searched for months to find a new career here in California with a company that I could continue my learning experiences and become more proficient in SAP, but I'm a little lost. My search to find jobs have only given me possibilities in Customer Service positions or ones that are SAP sales/programming based. I'm floating in limbo and looking for help from the SAP community on where I can go from here to get back into a career path with SAP.
I'm 28 years old and I'm currently finishing my Associate degree in Business Administration. I'm a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), certified with the Help-Desk Institute as a Support Center Analyst, and also completed my previous employer's Quality Advocate Certification which focused on Six Sigma and Lean concepts. Prior to leaving the company, I was being considered for a company sponsored training in the Six Sigma Green or Black Belt program. I've recently started working a contract position as a Customer Service Rep, processing orders, but the company will be completing an SAP conversion in May 2013; so only a few months away. The problem I have in this position is that I feel frustrated in learning their current software when their entire team seems to have their own personal ways of doing their job. I prefer to have structure and perform job duties the right way, then building on that to make the job more streamlined. I spoke with my recruiter but he feels I may be a bit premature on feelings about working in this contract position. I may be just feeling a little impatient in having to wait another 3 months to see if the company may even hire me on permanently and what role I would have with SAP, beyond Customer Service Rep. I'm hoping to get some direction from the SAP community on where I might focus my attention in learning SAP. My hope is to find a position working with SAP like the one I enjoyed so much back in GA. I'm even considering options to learn the programming side. I think SAP is a great software package once people understand how it's designed, or can be designed, to work.
    Please help!!
I'd be happy to provide my resume to anyone willing to review it and give me some pointers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I appreciate the length and detail of your post. I struggle answering questions from folks who give too little info. It's refreshing to have too much info for a change.
I'll summarize your post and give suggestions:
You have very strong end user experience, almost bordering on support level SD knowledge. You have experience with the way that at least one company implemented SAP SD but don't have many years of experience with different approaches, so you can't pitch yourself as someone who's "been-there, done-that" outside of the SD world and you can't bill yourself as having SD functional knowledge to the extend that you could be a consultant for SAP SD.  (See FAQ: Different Career Paths in SAP for descriptions of different traditional SAP career paths.)
You've moved to Southern California, which is chock full of companies using SAP, by the way, and you're having a hard time finding the right job. Your education is probably going to be problematic at this point. Most SAP related jobs require a Bachelor's Degree at a minimum. Definitely keep on going with your degree. I don't know where you're doing your associate's degree, but you might want to look in to Cal State Fullerton, which has an *excellent* SAP focused business degree program. (http://business.fullerton.edu/).
You've found work at a company but had to start over at a lower level of responsibility. Since the job you just landed will be transitioning to SAP in 3 months, you have an opportunity to repeat your previous rise by volunteering to be a super-user again. Alternatively, you could talk to the group within your company and express your desire to help out supporting the system from the back end. Traditionally, companies lose a few folks immediately following an implementation, so there's a good chance that if you make your desires and skills known, that you'll be able to move onto the support team once a position opens up.
All of the above assumes that you want to continue on the functional side of SD. You didn't mention any aptitude or preference for programming. It is certainly easier to get programming jobs than functional jobs (see How did you get your start in SAP?), but it seems like you really enjoyed the functional side of SAP. I do *not* recommend learning an SAP skill for which you have no desire simply to get a job, hoping that you can switch later. Use the skills you have to get the job you really want, doing something that really excites you. It's far to easy to fall into a job simply because it's there and get trapped and burned out.
    Hope this helps!
    Best regards,

    Hi all,
Quick bit of background, we have SCCM 2012 R2 installed on a Windows 2012 R2 server. We have the SQL back end off box, configured on a SQL 2012 R2 server running on a Windows Server 2012 R2 cluster. Then there is yet another server which runs the reporting
services. I've just tried installing the Reporting Services Point on the srs server but it doesn't appear to have worked that well. Here's the info i've got back:

Has anyone come across this issue before? Must admit, I'm not too hot on the sql side of things so any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, cheers for the swift response.
Garth, i can access SSRS in IE from the SCCM box and it looks a-ok.
Paul, nope can't say I've done any configuration of reporting services - the whole thing has been set up by the database team. Having had a trundle through Reporting Services Configuration Manager, it seems the Database team have set up SSRS in line with
    the walkthrough you posted.
Since i'm not seeing the ConfigMgr_XXX folder appear in SSRS I'm wondering if there's something preventing SCCM from being able to create it. The message
    "Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.AccessDeniedException: The permissions
granted to user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' are insufficient for performing this operation" sounds like the account SCCM is leveraging to perform the install might not have the right permissions in SSRS. Do i need to delegate specific rights to the NT
    AUTHORITY\SYSTEM account in SRS perhaps?

  • APPALLED by the standard of service, completely ri...

    Hello,
I am at my absolute wit's end with this. I truly hope a moderator, an employeeof BT or *someone* can help because I literally do not know what the **bleep** Im supposed to do anymore, I am completely out of ideas and am SO stressed out. I knew that BT was hard to deal with being such a big company and I also heard many times that Customer Service was terrible at times, but I never imagined this.
I will try to summarize a very long story in a few sentences so forgive me for not giving too many details.
I have been with BT, in different homes, for about 12 years. For the last 4 or 5 I have been in a certain house in South London and, lately (beginning of this year) I decided to move out and, because the house where I was moving to already had a landline with another provider and also Broadband and Digital TV, I called up BT and asked how much I owed to terminate the contract.
They said something along the lines of £130 and I paid for it, asked if that was the end of it, they said yes, and said thanks and good bye.
I move out in early January and all seems fine. After a couple of months I receive a call saying that I owe about £70 because of contract cancellation charges something... Im not sure. I am a little annoyed at receiving this call, but for the sake of a short call and because I was arleady busy enough, I paid no questions asked. I immediately made sure that they confirmed that THAT WAS IT and then hang up the phone.
After a couple of months, THIS HAPPENS AGAIN!! I am now very upset about being harassed like this and demand that this balance that they are asking now (£60 or 70 again I think) be written off immediately because it is a mistake, and even if it isnt a mistake, it is BT's issue for not being able to keep their numbers correctly as I had already asked twice whether that was the end of it and was told it was.
Now I have received a bailiff's call and I am literally being harassed by mail and telephone and I am very stressed out because I am usually a person who keeps their records straight for this exact reason.
I dont like harassment, I dont like bad credit ratings and I most of all do not like giving my hard earned money away for no reason.
So please, someone help me out and end this nightmare. Write this amount of money off and give me a break as it is BT's mistake and a half. I am sure you record your calls, so please do check these calls and you will be able to confirm that I was told not once, but TWICE that I was done paying and all was settled and I owed nothing and I am still **bleep** getting calls about new charges not only from BT, but from debt collection agencies.
Please contact me and end this as I have had no luck in any way getting this sorted thorugh any other mean (and it was absolltuely useless talking to the bailiff company as all the ask is "ok are you paying this or not? no? fine, red mark".
    Very annoyed customer

    Hi Gowardo,
This is a customer to customer forum, the only people here who might be able to assist with your problem are the forum mods(Bt employees).

  • IC WebClient Shared Services Business Roles

    Dear All
I have a question regarding the some of the IC Webclient Shared Services roles provided by SAP.
I know that as of CRM 7.0 EHP 1.0 SAP provides separate roles for Accounting Interaction Center, Employee Interaction center and ITDS- IT HelpDesk Role along with a  Shared Services Agent Role.
I want to know that  is it recommended to combine the Accounting Interaction Center, Employee Interaction Center and IT HelDesk role into one role or the opporsite way of using separte roles for separate functions.
    Thanks
    Tarang

    Hello
    Well...it depends.
If you want your agents to handle all types of calls and you don't have a big-big company with many employees and a big support desk, the best option (due to maintenance reasons) is keeping everything in a single business role with a multi account identification profile.
On the other hand, if you have agents with separate and independent account, IT and employee tasks and your business processes are different depending on who is on the phone, you need three different business roles.
So, to summarize, it depends on your project needs and your company size.
    Regards
    Joaquin

    Hi Srinivas,
Can you please tell me how the service tax will get calculated in rental conditions?
I've made the following configuration settings:
    Step1: RE-Fx>> Accounting>> Automatically Generated Accounting Documents>> Summarize Documents:
Under this node>> Set Item Summarization "Active" for the particular co. code.
Step 2: Defined service tax under "Tax Type" for country INDIA
    Step3: Under the IMG node:
    RE-Fx>> Accounting>> Integration FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP>> Assign Tax Code:
I've maintained Service Tax (tax type) to the country IN.
Also in the contract under posting parameters tab; i've maintained the Tax Type as Service Tax.
In conditions tab also, when I'm simulating the condition, I'm getting the correct entries, (as shown in the screen shot):
    Condition Amount: 20,0000 INR

  • AR Invoice - Service invoice - two descriptions, same GL account - one post

    Hello,
I have a need for an AR Invoice for Services to have two items on it, different descriptions, same GL account, to make seperate postings for each line. As of now it is consolidating to one GL entry for both lines.
    Any way to do this?
    Thank you,
    John Sefton

    Hello,
As per the current system working, even though you have 2 different description lines with a same G/L account in the AR invoice, it won't be displayed as separated lines in Journal Entry. System will summarize the amount by account automatically.
May be a custom query could help you achieve the result in a report.
    Hope it helps.

Net Cnd Crrncy: 20,000 INR (for the month of July)
    Tax Cnd Crrncy: 2472 INR.
However, when I'm doing RERAPP; i'm unable to post the condition. Getting the 2 errors (screen shot attached):

  • How to check System Center Service manager 2012 R2 license version

    Hi,
I have installed Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Service manager 3months before but do not have remember whether I put permanent license key or evaluation, can anyone please let me know how can I check whether this is evaluation or permanent license?
Warm Regards, Pramod Kumar Singh Manager-IT

    Hi,
During setup of the retail edition of System Center 2012 – Service Manager, you have the option of performing the installation without a product key and instead installing Service Manager as an evaluation edition. The evaluation
edition times out 180 days after installation. If you start with an evaluation version of Service Manager and you rerun Setup and install the retail edition or select edition, and you decide to use the existing databases that you created originally,
your installation will time out after the original expiration date.
I summarize the following steps and hopefully it will help you.
You could find the install date on :HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\System Center\2010\Service Manager\Setup"
Try to change the system time from install date to install date + 180days.
If you can't open the console again, you are evaluation Edition.
Rerun Setup to install Retail Edition or Select Edition.

  • "Site System Status Summarizer still cannot access storage object" after DB Move

After our SCCM server was up and running, the DBAs moved the SQL Site Database to a new drive which is a supported SQL Operation according to this Support document:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2709082
Using the methods described by the above document we were able to restore functionality to SCCM but I am still seeing Informational messages in the SMS_SITE_SYSTEM_STATUS_SUMMARIZER component.
Site System Status Summarizer still cannot access storage object "\\<SQLServer>\S$\SMS_<SQLServer>" on site system "\\<SQLServer>". The operating system reported error 67: The network name cannot be found.
Possible cause: The site system is turned off, not connected to the network, or not functioning properly.
Solution: Verify that the site system is turned on, connected to the network, and functioning properly.
Possible cause: Site System Status Summarizer does not have sufficient access rights to connect to the site system and access the storage object.
Solution: Verify that the accounts are properly configured to allow the site to connect to the site system and access the storage object.
Possible cause: Network problems are preventing Site System Status Summarizer from connecting to the site system.
Solution: Investigate and correct any problems on your network.
Possible cause: You took the site system out of service and do not intend on using it as a site system any more.
Solution: Remove the site system from the list of site systems used by this site; this list appears under Site Systems in the Configuration Manager Console.
Possible cause: You accidentally deleted the storage object or took the storage object out of service.
Solution: The components will eventually detect that the storage object no longer exists on the site system and will either recreate it or choose a new storage object. Monitor the status messages reported by other site components to verify that this
    occurs properly.
The storage object has been inaccessible since "14/03/2015 1:23:20 AM". When you correct the problem and Site System Status Summarizer successfully accesses the storage object, Site System Status Summarizer will set the storage object's status
to OK, providing that the storage object has sufficient free space.
I have run a site reset to try and fix this but the site server still seems to be trying to access files on the old drive. Is there a method to get SCCM to start looking for these files on the NEW DB drive (H$) in my case?

Was a site reset performed at all yet? This has to be done.
    Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
Yes, I tried a site reset prior to making this post. I was sure I had read that this should resolve the issue but unfortunately it seems a site reset did not resolve the issue.
Since we are running a virtualized environment, is it possible the old drive has to still exist prior to running the site reset? If we add a small "S" drive back to the server and run the site reset again, might that help?

  • Palm's Shaky Repair Service Has Found Solid Ground To Stand On

In my last thread, I was critical of the turnaround time on my Palm TX. I feel it is important to update the situation in a separate thread because their customer service team impressed me earlier this afternoon. I spoke to a Corporate Customer Service Representative named Lynn who informed me they do pay attention to the forums and take customer concerns seriously.  The general consensus was that I had been waiting for too long to have a simple headphone socket repaired and that it was being looked into. It gives me much needed reassurance that my TX will be repaired/replaced and returned to me.  I do not mind waiting for a repair if means doing it right the first time to prevent further calls to service. As a customer I need to be kept informed, however, of any delays and what is causing them. It seems to be a shared feeling that the Self Service screen used to check repair statuses leaves much to be desired.
Much was clarified in a five minute phone conversation.  It turns out DHL is pulling out of the states so Fedex is handling the shipping. However, DHL tracking numbers are in use until the end of the year.  So the Self Service page posts DHL tracking numbers but links customers to Fedex.  To anyone having difficulty tracking shipments this may be the reason for them.  Also, I was told that parts may be on backorder, a replacement unit may have been requested but is not yet available, or a logistical problem may exist. In any case, it was much more effective hearing this from a live person because "In Service" could mean anything.
To summarize, I thank Palm for surprising me by actually responding to my posting.  They covered all the bases with regards to customer service and conflict resolution. Having a person take the time to call in response to a post on a help forum is important to me.  I respect a company that gives customers the time of day by speaking to them directly. And yes, the TX is an expensive investment. Yes, I do worry about sending ANYTHING of value to places unknown for repair.  And yes, I still believe some changes need to be made at the repair center.  But I also believe that Palm values their customers and does not want to lose them. They will not be losing me because they chose to make a simple phone call over inaction. I will continue to update this thread as I know more about when my Palm will be returned to me.
UPDATE: I was contacted again last night by another Customer Service representative who informed me they were moving things forward and my Palm TX should be on its way today (Thursday).  They were unable to fix the problem with the unit I sent in, so they are sending a like-new refurbished unit with a 90 day warranty.  I appreciate their quick response.
I do however, have one question for them.  If I am correct, the Palm TX warranty is one year.  However, I only had the original device since September, and the refurbished unit only has a 90 day warranty on it.  Am I still entitled to the remainder of the warranty on the original unit on the replacement unit? I do not want to reset the clock completely on the warranty period. That would not be fair. What is fair is retaining the remainder of the warranty on the replacement as if it were the same unit I sent in.  Any responses with some clarification are welcome on this thread.  Otherwise, I hope to be posting some time in the next day or two that I have my TX back in my possession in perfect working order.
UPDATE: Answered my own question. Found a link on the forum to warranty terms I had not previously seen. Terms read as follows:
    EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES
Should a covered defect occur during the warranty period and you notify Palm, your sole and exclusive
remedy shall be, at Palm’s sole option and expense, to repair or replace the product or software. If Palm
cannot reasonably repair nor replace then Palm may, in its sole discretion, refund the purchase price
paid for the product. Replacement products or parts may be new or reconditioned or comparable
versions of the defective item. Palm warrants any replaced or repaired product, part, or software for a
period of ninety (90) days from shipment, or through the end of the original warranty, whichever is
    longer.
(In otherwords, yes the warranty is honored through the one-year period. Fair enough for me.)
I hope my digging around gives an answer to other users who have the same question.
