Set copied asset to join original production

Question

Possibly dumb question...
Say I've got an asset I want to transcode to a final output format. I also want to add this newly transcoded file to the production that the source file was in.
I can't see how this is possible. I'm using a Copy Response to do the transcode, with "Create Asset" ticked. I only have the option to explicitly state a target production (not really that useful), or not assign a production.
Is this possible through some kind of voodoo?

First and foremost, you are in an undocumented and an safe world now that you desire to interact with command line. I to was once intrigued by many of the mythical commands that live in the directory you've discovered. Don't ask me how I know, but I didn't until I just kept pressing buttons until something worked. Here's some direction that I think should help. I must ask however that any of your finding be re-contributed back to the community that you've ask for assistant. That way the next soul wishing to discover the powers of the FCSvr command line will have tips too.
fcsvr_client createasset <type> <repaddress> --background--projaddr <project address><metadata>
<type> - equal the metadata set for the asset
example: paassetmedia
<repaddress> - never used this option, I am assuming it's probably something related to an asset's representation
--background - use this option if you wish to have proxy generation occur in the backgroud
--projaddr - this specifies which production to auto add the asset to
example --projaddr /project/118
<metadata> - this is list of metadata field that you wish to set
CUST_DESCRIPTION="Description you want to use for this asset" CUSTASSETSTATUS="In Progress"
Below is a sample command for fcsvr_client createasset. This takes an file with the filename XPlatformConsulting.mov that resides on a device name XPlatform_Asset which and tell FCSvr to create an asset of this file, associated it with the production with the project id of 111, and set a few custom metadata fields. One thing to note is that %20 must be used device location whose's paths has space in the folder name.
