Set external ports for Android Link App

Hello,  I wanted to request the option to manually set the port when accessing the nas remotely from the Android Link app.  My provider blocks standard ports like 80 and 443 from incoming so usually just forward a non-standard port from my router to any internal servers.   Asus Routers have a similar app to access data but they allow you to set different ports when accessing services internally vs remotely.  Hoping we could get the same options for the Link app.

Hello mrhector Unfortunately the Lifeline firmware does not have the option to change the ports need to fully access personal cloud via the Link application. Hey Steven, That's ok, I don't need to change the ports on the NAS.  I just need to be able to change the port settings that the Link application uses to connect to the Nas remotely. I would forward the ports from my router. ie.  Router forwards8080 -> nasip:804443 -> nasip:443  So instead of having the Link app try to connect to remoteip:80 / remoteip:443 it would connect to remoteip:custom port I hope that makes more sense.

    How to detect AIR for Android closing app event (remove app from dock "Recent Apps")?
    In AndroidActivityWrapper.StateChangeCallback exist method onActivityStateChanged. But he have only DESTROYED state, which it seems received where app finish exiting. Activity.onDestroy() called if app start exiting.

    DPI aside, you can just set your resolution on the project to the target devices resolution to preview how it will look. While vectors will render much smoother on the device (higher DPI), it's a very easy way to target various resolutions for testing.
    If you have the full CC suite you might want to consider using Flash Builder 4.7 which has many different device presets and allows you to create your own presets to mimic tablets and phones. It really depends how complex your project is to move over to FB.

  • Adobe Reader for Android - Links are now invisible on Android Phone!

    After the latest update to Adobe Reader for Android - Links are now invisible on Android Phone!

    Hi,
    You are correct,with the latest update, we have modified the links appearance.
    This decision was based on a feedback from the users.
    We changed the appearance as users were reporting that the 'blue rectangles' that used to indicate links, were interfering with their document viewing experience.Also, since those rectangles are actually not how the author made the file, we wanted to make the file look exactly as the author had desired.
    Thanks,

    Yes, but the subject of the post is "air for android". Can you use this blackberry service for android? Probably I am missing something.

    2) You can't take money without a few things, most of all a payment gateway. Payment gateway services can be expensive yet nowadays you can work with companies such as paypal and others to use their api to take payments. This is the service that you will have to call out to. Yes, you lose a little money in the transaction but this is the service that you will send payment information to and they are the gateway between you and the credit card companies. Once they have the money they turn around and pay you a percentage of the total sale. This percentage is determined in their fine print, so make sure you know how much each payment gateway is planning on taking from you.
    I know you need some kind of payment gateway. However, I guess the original thread author was requesting the Android Market in-app billing http://developer.android.com/guide/market/billing/index.html . They take 30% if I am not missinformed, but an advantage is that the customer already is registered with google market. Do you see other payment services as more interesting than the google market one when it comes to Android?

  • Porting existing Android native app to Adobe AIR

    I indent to port a existing Android native app to Adobe AIR for android. Reasons: To use my existing AS3 skills, "cost" for native is too high and soon port it to iOS.
    Difficulties I face here:
    Existing app package, say "com.mygame.myapp" has to be retained. By using FB with AIR SDK, we get a "air." prefix to the package name. It becomes "air.com.mygame.myapp".
    Will this solution still solve the problem in AIR SDK removing "air." prefix from package name has any working solution!?.
    The help link http://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/opt-out-air-application-analytics.html is dead now. iOS specific is found here Opt-out | Adobe AIR app analytics | iOS
    Please suggest me a Mac suitable solution.
    In Android, using a ".keystore" file, we need to export as the ".APK" file. In AIR, if we publish using a new ".p12" signature file would it be compatible with Google Play, and it rules.
    App's existing users should find difficulty in upgrading the app.
    Another unanswered thread Possible to remove "air." appended on package and target a .keystore rather than .p12?
    Thanks a lot.

    I was able to figure it out with the help of Jeff Ward Ooh, I just discovered how to easily remove the 'air.' prefix when packaging…

    Thank you for the quick reply! But the solution provided by you, it seems, has still not been able to address my issue. I ran the program at command prompt with your said parameters, but the download still gave an error in the App window.
    Also, is there some way of defining these parameters in the source code? I am keen in using NetBeans to run the program.
    Cheers!

  • Acrobat X, where can we set the defualt for Open, Link?

    Step 4, Open File, New Window or Within....  We would like to set NEW WINDOW as default.  (Please see screen shot also)
    Create a link using the Link tool
    Choose Tools > Content > Link. The pointer becomes a cross hair, and any existing links in the document, including invisible links, are temporarily visible.
    Drag a rectangle where you want to create a link. This is the area in which the link is active.
    In the Create Link dialog box, choose the options you want for the link appearance.
    Select one of the following link actions:
    Go To A Page View
    Click Next to set the page number and view magnification you want in the current document or in another document (such as a file attachment), and then click Set Link.
    Open A File
    Select the destination file and click Select. If the file is a PDF, specify how the document should open (for example in a NEW WINDOW or within an existing window), and then click OK.
    Note: If the filename is too long to fit in the text box, the middle of the name is truncated.
    Open A Web Page
    Provide the URL of the destination web page.
    Custom Link
    Click Next to open the Link Properties dialog box. In this dialog box, you can set any action, such as reading an article, or executing a menu command, to be associated with the link.
    Screen shots.......

    Thanks for your reply.  We are using Acrobat Pro 10.1.3 on Windows 7 64 bit workstation.
    We see this when adding a link in a PDF.
    Go to Tools, Content, Link.  Highlight something, Creat Link, click Next.  Pick somthing to Link too.  Like another PDF and the Window in the first screen shot comes up.
    I ran a Regshot and here are the results.  Looks like all user keys which would be normal but there must be a way to set the default in the Preferences?  This does not seem to be a setting that stays if you will so there must be something over-riding it.

  • Change the default "mailto" setting in Firefox for Android

    I can't work out how to change the application (or should this be program or client ? Sorry, I don't know the lingo on mobiles) used by Firefox on my android (Sony experia z2) mobile phone when I click on an email address on a webpage. Firefox currently wants to use the default android email client, whereas I want to use Gmail. I suspect that I accidentally clicked on the "use always" option and "email" once when I was asked what application I wanted to be used for this kind of resource. I know that if I were using the full web version I would follow the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-program-used-open-email-links
    but I'm blowed if I can find the relevant options in the mobile version.
    Any help gratefully received

    You should be able to find Email as a separate items. Make sure when viewing the Apps list you're in the All list and not the Downloaded list, or you won't see the pre-installed apps.
    There is a drastic option to reset ''all'' defaults. Above the Apps list, tap the "3-dot" menu, then "Reset app preferences". I haven't ever tried that myself, for obvious reasons, but have seen it suggested on forums when there are problems with setting or clearing default apps.

  • Problem setting up handlers for Jetty web app

    Hello,
    I am encountering a problem with setting up the handlers for my web application, what I want is : Having some requests handled by an HTTPServlet with doGet and doPost methods ( how can I load JSP pages from within these methods ? ) and also be able to load static content ( html, JS, CSS )
    The way I'm setting it right now, I can only have one or the other, I cannot get both working.
    I will explain :
        Server server = new Server(5000);
       // This is the resource handler for JS & CSS
        ResourceHandler resourceHandler = new ResourceHandler();
        resourceHandler.setResourceBase(".");
        resourceHandler.setDirectoriesListed(false);
       // This is the context handler for the HTTPServlet
        ServletContextHandler context = new ServletContextHandler(ServletContextHandler.SESSIONS);
        context.setContextPath("/");
        context.addServlet(new ServletHolder(new Main()),"/*");
       // this is the Handler list for both handlers
        HandlerList handlerList = new HandlerList();
        handlerList.setHandlers(new Handler[] { context ,resourceHandler});
         If I add them in this order, all requests will be handled by the "context" and no static resource is loaded
         If I invert the order, the index page page is loaded by the resource handler, which means, If I activate directory listings, it gives me a list of all directories, otherwise it's just a blank page
         I tried working with a WebAppContext to load JSP pages but I still had some problems with which handler should handle which requests
        server.setHandler(handlerList);
        server.start();
        server.join();
    Thank you

    Lync web app is designed mainly for external partners who are invited to Lync meetings. Thus, the feature cannot be achieved naturally on Lync side. You may post the issue on IIS forum to verify if this can be achieved by setting LWA directory.

  • Is there a way to set a url for a link button?

    hey guys, so im trying to set a url link to a dynamic button im creating using actionscript...
    so far i know that you can do
    <linkbutton .....
         click="navigateToURL(new URLRequest('http://yahoo.com/downloadpdf.pdf', 'quote')" />
    but when i create my button in actionscript i dont see an option for click anywhere...
    the code i have is
                        var newButton:customLinkButton = new customLinkButton();
                        newButton.label = item.@name;
                        newButton.tabId = item.@tab;
                        newButton.changeTo = item.@changeTo;
                        newButton.x = item.@posX;
                        newButton.y = item.@posY;
                        newButton.setStyle("skin", null);
                        newButton.styleName = "dynamicButtonStyle";
                        if(newButton.changeTo == "downloadFile"){
                        newButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, customButtonPressed);
                        dynamicButtons.addElement(newButton);
    i've tried doing newButton.click but that dosent work...
    i also tried doing newButton.setStyle("click", "navigateToUrl.........")  but with no result...
    i just need to set this button so when i click on it, it will show that download pdf file from link box.....
    any ideas??

    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/actionscript/articles/event_handling_as3_03.html
    Basically just use addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, someFunction); (exactly the same as how you did for mouseDown event) and then call the navigateToURL() method from the customButtonPressed method.

  • Setting character encoding for the whole app

    I have a MySQL base which uses latin1 character set. I don't know which Java uses, but when I print some polish signs it puts ? instead. How do I change the character set for the whole application? Or maybe there is some completely different way?

    1. the base I have is capable of storing polish chars - at least when I view it within my visual manager it shows then no problem, so I think it's not that
    2. I don't use the console - I use the JTable component to show the data
    3. java stores using utf, but the app uses default system encoding - I checked it with:
    Charset c = Charset.defaultCharset();
    System.out.println(c.displayName());So which solution do you suggest?
    And how can I change the encoding the application?
    Thank's for your interest!

  • Using Migration Assistant on external drive for moving new apps to Leopard

    I'm sorry if this has been covered, but I searched and couldn't find the answer on any previous posts.
    I am having the infamous "yellow triangle" problem when trying to install Leopard on my iMac. I created a bootable copy of Tiger and all my apps, etc. on an external drive (including Parallels/Windows) with SuperDuper, and I'm planning on trying an "archive and install", and then hopefully using MA to transfer all of my settings and files from the bootable copy of Tiger on the FireWire drive.
    Obviously before I go ahead I want to make sure I can do this. Is this possible, and what would the basic steps be?

    I didn't know I needed to disconnect the FW drive in the first place. That may be the root of all my problems.
    I have been having nothing but problems with this Leopard install on my iMac (though it seems to be working on my Macbook Pro). Here's what happened:
    * The iMac install was going just fine (though I had the external hard drive connected). I selected the internal hard drive (no yellow exclamation or anything like that) and it began to install. After about 2 minutes it kicked me out and said there was an error.
    * ok. So I rebooted and tried it again. From this time on, whenever I tried to install Leopard on the hard drive there was a yellow exclamation, and I got the infamous "Can't install OS X on this volume without changing installation settings" (basically erase and install)
    * Then I tried Leopard Disk Utility. When I tried to verify the disk, it gave me an error saying the disk has the incorrect number of extended attributes (should be 0 instead of 238) and it needs to be repaired. But it wouldn't let me repair it, even if I rebooted off the DVD.
    * Next, I went back to Tiger's Disk Utility and verified the disk and repaired permissions. There seemed to be an error that was corrected, so I thought that would do the trick. Wrong! By the way, I checked the partitions and the disk is formatted with a GUID partition.
    * Even after the repair and verification with Tiger, I still get the same problems. When I go to install Leopard, it doesn't work and I get the same errors if I run Leopard Disk Utility.
    This is why I was going to do an erase and install, and import via MA. Do you know any way around this?
