Set target hours in CATS

Question

Hi Friends,
I have a scenario
Employees absolutely have to work the set amount of hours per week and they can do it any combination they like
Eg:30 hours in a week(set amount of work in a week)
They can work any days in a week and any number of hours but more than 30 hours if he enters hours, system need to show error in CAT2
How we will configure this..Pls helppp

Hello Lachu,
Actually it's not like our colleague answered. Perhaps he didn't understand the requirement.
This is done via authorizations.
1. Create a Profile Authorization group in t-code SM30 -> View TCATSA
2. On CAC1, you have the field Authorizations (TCATS-BRGRU). There, you associate the profile authorization group you have defined previously.
3. On PFCG, the t-code to create the roles and profiles for the employee, you must assign the following authorization for the user that you want to permit to access only this profile (I have used P_PERNR auth object to provide such authorization):
              Manually   HR: Master Data - Personnel Number Check                     P_PERNR
               Manually   HR: Master Data - Personnel Number Check                     T-QD55070400
                 Authorization level            E, R                                                                        AUTHC
                 Infotype                       0316                                                                        INFTY
                 Interpretation of assigned per I                                                                           PSIGN
                 Subtype                        GRP                                                                         SUBTY
Bottom line, you create a profile authorization group. Then, you assign this auth group to the profile. Finally, you allow access to Infotype 316 -> Subtype <NAME OF THE AUTHORIZATION GROUP>.
