Set Text in Container- Different Classes each line of text

I'm using the Set text of Container behavior to function as a caption in my displaced rollover. It works fine but there is one problem I'm having.
My orginal "placeholder" caption looks something like this:
Project Name
Location
Photographer
I achieved this by using "span" on the orginal caption and each line has a class.
However when I rollover it loses it's styling. How do I apply the classes to the text in the behavior?

I don't want a new row for each line of text

I have exported a pdf document which is a table full of text in columns (by month). The conversion seems to react randomly so that in some places several lines of text in a column are converted to just one cell (great, just what I want) and then in others, a block of text gets split into a row for each line of text --- very annoying ...
What would make this happen? Is there a workaround so that you can tell the conversion how to react to blocks of text?

For optimal export the PDF needs to be a well-formed tagged PDF.
The basic PDF page content has no format, styling, rows, columns, etc.
Just objects painted to the PDF page at a specified location.
You can return to the authoring file, clean that up to support accessible PDF output, then post process the PDF with Acrobat XI Pro to finalize making the PDF PDF/UA compliant. Export of that would be better.
You can manually tag the PDF such that it is PDF/UA compliant than export from that . This would provide you better export.
You can clean up the export you already have.

I need to create a flyer which contains as example 33 lines of text in a column. All textlines have to be underlined in a color. I tried this with „Absatzlinie darunter“ (might be „Paragraph line underneath“.
The short-cut is „Command / Alt / J“, but nowhere I can see any information how to duplicate the underlines.
By the way: I am a InDesign-Beginner; I used to work with QXP before for many years. Who can give me a hint – if possible in German? Thanks a lot!

Zunächst herzlichen Dank für die Reaktion und die Tips. – Ich will da nicht
nerven, aber ich bin erst seit kurzer Zeit mit InDesign zugange und stelle
immer wieder fest, dass, je tiefer ich einsteigen will, immer mehr Fragen
auftauchen. Es gibt auch so viele Begriffe, die sich von QuarkXPress
unterscheiden, das ist ja furchtbar.
Können wir vielleicht mal kurz direkt Kontakt über E-Mail aufnehmen? Auch
mit dem Forum habe ich noch Probleme zurecht zu kommen. Ich würde gerne
einen Screenshot senden, der mein "Problem" besser erkennen lässt.

Wenn Du jede Zeile unterstreichen musst, dann sind Absatzlinien (Paragraph
Rules) nicht dazu geeignet. Es gibt zwei Absatzlinien, eine unterhalb, eine
oberhalb.Für das Unterstreichen aller Zeilen kann man nur die Auszeichnung
„Unterstreichen” verwenden, das findest Du im Absatzformat unter
„Grundlegende Zeichenformate” die Option „Unterstreichen”. Besser wäre es

GREP 'find/change' by list script: find a text string containing different para styles

I'm don't write scripts but do 'enjoy' copying, pasting and changing existing code/txt files.
I have built a GREP find/change .txt that performs a large number of text edits/changes.
But I'm left with an issue where I have paragraphs of text (styled earlier in the .txt file) that I'm unable to identify using GREP the usual way. I need to identify text in a particular paragraph style, followed by text in another paragraph style.
Is it possible with GREP to create a search string to find: text styled with one paragraph style, ending with a paragraph return, and to include in that selection the following paragraph/s styled with another paragraph style?

How do I set the scrolling distance to exactly 1 line of text?

I thought Firefox used to have an option available to scroll by X lines of text. Now it seems to be scrolling by a slight bit more than 3 lines, resulting in misalignment of text with the top of the window when either the scrollbar or down arrow key is used. Where are the controls for making scroll height more predictable, and how do I use them? I am running Firefox 22.0 on Windows 7.

Hi Brian, there is a setting for the number of lines:
toolkit.scrollbox.verticalScrollDistance (default value = 3)
This governs the up and down arrow keys, but doesn't seem to affect the up and down buttons on the scrollbar.
A "line" can vary greatly in height and I'm not sure how Firefox determines the actual distance to scroll. More research is needed on that. (Note that you cannot adjust the preference to a fraction; it must be a whole number.)
Have you noticed a differences from Firefox 21? That could be related to your Windows DPI settings, which Firefox now honors. Do you know what percentage you're using at the system level (e.g., 100%, 125%, 150%) and have you adjusted that in Firefox (using the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx preference)?

Unable to send texts messages containing the letter é anywhere in the text

I am unable to send ANY text that contains the character é as in Pokémon since January on my Droid Razr... prior to January it sent just fine, but the message just hangs in the 'sending' and NEVER gets sent!!! the recipient NEVER receives the text and it NEVER goes into failed status!!!! just hanging in 'sending' mode!!!! only does this on Verizon Wireless phone... so frustrating as my nerd friends like it and I prefer to type Pokémon rather than Pokemon!!!

What happens when you try to send a message? If you get an error message,
what is the exact complete wording of that message?
Are you using iMessage or a 3rd party app?
Is your account properly provisioned for messaging if using other than iMessage?

When saving to a text file how do i add in each line a text like: Line 1: then next line: Line 2: ?

After each line of text and radio buttons are these squares with numbers inside them. How do I turn them off? Only on firefox does this display happen.

Numbers seem to be in order. they look like modeling codes used when setting up a website.
I did not have this problem until I upgraded to the new firefox update.

Try to set the Boolean pref gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.use_gdi_table_loading to false on the about:config page to see if that helps.

Which numbers are in the boxes?
If you see a box with hex code in it then that means that Firefox can't map a character to a specific font and you have to install a font that covers the affected characters.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore and you have IOS-6 or lower, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

I did a COPY of some text from a web page, and then did a PASTE into notepad.exe (Windows). The text from each line was duplicated -- on the line! Instead of "Fred", it became "Fred Fred".

I just recently installed Firefox for the first time. It seems nice and quick. The version is reported as: "10.0.1".
I wanted to save some text from a web page, so navigated to that page, selected the text, and pressed the Control-C combination to COPY the selected text to the buffer. For example, the text I selected looked something like this:

Ron
Hermione
Hagrid
Albus
NOTE: Each line of text has a small icon to the left of the text.
It is not reasonable to COPY and PASTE each line individually, as there can be hundreds of lines of data. I recall, however, that
doing a COPY and PASTE on this data into Microsoft's Excel will produce cells which have the icons included in the cell, but unfortunately one cannot can't get rid of them! At least I've never found a way to remove them, but that's another issue. :)
Once I'd done the COPY operation I switched to a Notepad window and did a PASTE operation. To my surprise, the text from each line was duplicated. It looked like this:
Harry Harry
Ron Ron
Hermione Hermione
Hagrid Hagrid
Albus Albus
Thinking that there might be something unusual about the web page I looked at the source, but it appeared "normal" -- that is, as expected.
Note: I have done this operation several times before, and have never seen this occur before.
Note: In the actual data some of the lines have quoted text in them. Curiously there is weird behavior on these lines. In some cases the entire line is shown only once. (These occur at the top of the line, and the quoted text is at the beginning of the name.)
When quoted text appears "later" in the name, in some cases the quoted text is duplicated, and in other cases the quoted text is missing altogether! I have also noticed an error with the quoted text, and so will be reporting that to the web site which generates the HTML.
Note that each line of "text" is "anchor text", so if I click on a name the browser navigates to a page for that name.
I believe that the problem is that the COPY operating in Firefox is not simply copying the visible text, but also the ALT=
Below is a sample of what the source HTML looks like:

Skipping Blank Lines in text File

I am working on an assignment in which i have to read from a text file and store the strings individually. The problem i have is that the text file has blank line between each set of strings. So i figured to use "fin.nextLine();" to skip that blank line and continue with storing the values. but i get
"Exception in thread "main" java.util.NoSuchElementException: No line found
     at java.util.Scanner.nextLine(Unknown Source)

which is where the fin.nexLine() is at. How can i just skip that blank line?

Text does not move to next line

at the end of each line of text the cursor is returning to the start of the same line. The text is then writting over the original. by "over" I mean you can see the original text underneath the new.
this also occurs in text boxes.
i would start a new doc but I have spent many hours on this one (10 page brochure)

Welcome to Apple discussions.
It sounds like your line spacing is a bit wacky. Put your cursor in one of the bad lines, then click on the Text inspector > Text. I'm guessing your line spacing is set to less than 1, so that at the end of the first line, the second line overlaps.

GL Line item text mandatory

Hi,
We have a following requirement:
1. Client needs that during MIGO/MIRO & release to accounting (SD) transaction, in GL line item text field , standard text should copy i.e. in accounting document, under GL line item field that standard text should populate. Do we have any user exits to meet this?
2. In all finance transactions i.e. F-02,F-51,F-52,F-53,F-28,F-48, GL line item text field should become mandatory. To meet this, we have written one validation rule that when for tcode Fb01, system should check GL SGTXT field & if found blank then system gives an error message. I would like to know is it viable as a long term solution or is there any other way to meet this requirement??

Hello mate,
Standard line item texts or formats for the line item text field can be defined.
You can define under IMG / FI Global settings / Document / Line Item / Define Text for line items (transaction OB56). The 4 digit abbreviation (abbr) can then be used when entering a journal line item either by typing "=abbr" or clicking on the dropdown arrow in the text field.
Text field then is text which is to be copied during the entry of documents in the line item text. The text may contain variables which are replaced in each case by current value.
Procedure
In the case of document entry, the text variable is entered in the line item text with prefixed equals sign (=xxxx).
The corresponding text is then copied automatically

Safari (and Firefox) rendering huge spaces between lines of text.

I have a Mac user (a designer, a PC guy outside of work) who has somehow managed to screw up the rendering of text in Safari.
On his Mac in both Safari and Firefox when a couple of lines of text from a website should render as:
1st line of text.
2nd line of text.
Instead render as:
1st line of text.
2nd line of text.
Has anyone else seen this? Considering he also gets to mess around with his fonts since he a) uses suitcase, and b) is a designer, I am thinking he has either messed up his browser fonts, or possibly corrupted some of his system fonts by importing some of the very broken font/type sets which Windows allows to be used.
Once he takes off for the day I'll be able to figure out for sure what he's done, but in the mean time while he's trying to customize his Porche with a Lada engine I'm searching for similar experiences and solutions.

I'm having the same problem with the main apple home page with Safari --extra returns--and it's also happening with Complex HTML message in Entourage (Office 2004)--not all, just messages with tables. The html rendering engine for Entourage, I believe, is Safari. I've updated to the latest versions of Panther and Office and even changed fonts, thrown away preferences. I still have the extra returns.
Does anyone know if Safari is the html rendering engine for Entourage 2004? I know that Internet Explorer was the engine for Office X.
Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this?
