Set Text to a frame.html from java

Hi everybody
This is my case:
i have a string (in java code) and i want to show it on a frame.html page
Do u have any ideas ????
help !!!!!
pls !!!!!

It sounds like you might want to create a Java Server Page. Java Server Pages, or JSP's allow you to present information created dynamically within a static html page. The dynamic content, the Java String, would be enclosed within special tags.
You can learn more about JSP pages by visiting these links...

  • Set Text of Container to HTML not working

    I have a div tag named "theAnswer" on a page. When the user
    clicks the "Submit" button, I want some text to appear inside the
    div that has HTML formatting.
    The HTML code for the text I want to appear is below:

    Info</a> or click Continue.
    After I put in the Behavior to "Set Text > Set Text of
    Container to", choose the correct Div tag, and paste the above into
    the "New HTML" field, when I click the Submit button, I get the
    following appearing in the div "theAnswer" exactly how it appears

    It's not formatted as HTML, it just comes out exactly what

  • Calling html from java with some values

    Hello friends,
    I can call a HTML file from java.I want to pass some values from java class file to that html file.Anybody help me how to pass parameters?
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler http://localhost:8080/jcoDemo/dp.html");
    is one i am using for calling html file
    thanks

    Just add GET query parameters to the URL.
    Besides, if you were using Java 1.6 or newer, then rather use [Desktop#browse()|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/awt/Desktop.html#browse(java.net.URI)] instead of Runtime#exec(). It is crossplatform while your runtime approach works in Mircosoft Windows systems only.

  • Opening HTML from Java executable?

    I have an HTML file that will be located on a CD that spawns off an installation. I need to call this HTML from a java executable. How do I do this?
    Thanks,
    Scott Roth

    You may adopt a refined solution trough the swing package.... Usign the application to shows the HTML file with a JEditorPane or JPane component.
    take a look in the jdk1.2.2\demo\jfc\SwingSet\HtmlPanel.java
    In this case, your app may becomes slow, but if you will run it in a powerfull machine (128Mb RAM, 16Mb Video) then dont worry - it works.

  • Set text in Visual JSF textfield from javascript

    HI,
    I want to pass a variable from a javascript to put into a visual jsf textfield that is connected to a Bean variable like this:
    <webuijsf:textField id="myLat" style="left: 96px; top: 336px; position: absolute" text="#{CreateNewPage.latitude}"/>
    I use this library: xmlns:webuijsf="http://www.sun.com/webui/webuijsf"
    I found a guide for this using regular jsf-tags, but that doesn't work for the visual jsf tags. Link: http://balusc.blogspot.com/2009/05/javajspjsf-and-javascript.html
    I managed though to change the field to some sort of text by using:
    var lat = 'text';
    document.getElementById("form1:myLat").textContent = lat;
    in my javascript. But this just replaces the textfield to some stand alone text, and the variable in my Bean isn't changed at all. I tried using .value and .text instead of .textContent but it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong here? I'm new to JSF by the way. Thankful for any help.

    I've now read the article and understand everything better. Also funny that I got a reply from the author of it here :)
    Sadly I have to use javascript I believe since I'm using a google maps api that uses it.
    Anyway, I still can't get it to work properly.
    now my jsp look like:
    <webuijsf:form id="myForm">
    <webuijsf:textField id="my2" style="left: 528px; top: 0px; position: absolute" text="#{EditPage.latFromMap}"/>
    </webuijsf:form>
    and in my JS:
    document.getElementById("myForm:my2").text = 'text';
    document.getElementById("myForm").submit();
    I now get to the setLatFromMap() setter Method for my variable in my EditPage bean, but when I do a print out of it it's null. Also the textfield on my page becomes blank after the refreshing of the page. of Am I still missing some of the concepts? thx

  • Print HTML from Java

    Hello All,
    can anyone please provide example code of how to print an html-file from localhost by Java-code ?
    Thanx a lot !!

    Not sure what you are asking. You've mentioned several different things.
    One is printing - do you mean to put something on paper? There should be examples on how to print a file if you do a search.
    The other is 'from localhost' - this implies a socket to connect to 127.0.0.1 - Does your code connect to an HTTP server, issue a HTTP GET for an HTML page?
    Again there should be sample code for connecting to a server and reading the response if you do a search.

  • Set the values of metadata properties from java

    Hi everybody,
    I created a metadata property "Category" in System Admin - System Config - KM - Global Services - Property Metadata.
    My requirements:
    When a user creates a document (upload or new txt file, etc.) in folder X the value of this metadata propery should also automatically be set to value X. So that the user doesn't need to set this value himself.
    This way we can have more reliability on the accuracy of the metadata of this field.
    Can anybody help me on how to set this property automatically in the screen for the creation of upload of a new file?
    Thanks
    Kind regards
    Wouter

    Hi Robert,
    It's been a while but I'm back
    We finally decided which way to go for this development (as it was on hold untill now) and we decided to go with the KM Repository service.
    I already started implementing this service and So far it reacts on the creation of new documents (CREATE_CHILD event).
    public void received(IEvent event)
       try{
           if(event instanceof IResourceEvent)
              IResourceEvent resevent = (IResourceEvent)event;
              switch(resevent.getType())
                 case ResourceEvent.CREATE_CHILD:
                         IResource res = resevent.getResource();
                         break;
    The resource (res) I get from the resourceEvent (resevent) is the parrent resource of the newly created resource. What I need is the newly created resoruce itself.
    Do you happen to know if there is an interface or method somewhere through which I can get access to this new resource?
    Otherwise the only way to do this would be to loop over the children of the parent folder and get the newest one. But this would just kill the performance as the folders keep on growing...

  • Why do i keep getting "opening cms-2-frame.html"

    Reinstalling didn't seem to have any effect. Try cleaning up your cookies. I deleted the cookies of any site I didn't recognize and the sites where the link popped up the most, and the problem went away. (I also installed FlashBlock, but I was using that before I reinstalled Firefox.)
    Note that this issue seems to affect Firefox 10 as well.

  • Opening HTML file from java GUI

    Can someone please tell me how I can open a HTML file in Internet Explorer from a Java GUI,
    I have an asssignment I am doing for college and I was toying with the idea of putting in helpfiles, for the program, can anyone tell me the easiest way of apcomplishing this???
    Thanks in advance for your help,

    Although this should answer your question, there are other (cross platform) ways to do what you want. As opposed to your "must have internet explorer" solution. Swing has a built in html viewer you might use, for example. I've been doing some reading on java/xml solutions. I don't consider myself knowledgeable enough (yet) to comment on that solution though. A delimited text file would be another solution. Useing that solution you could treat the file like a set of parrallel arrays on the hard drive and disply your text on pre-formated labels. Anyway, here is a link to you answer......

  • Help: No Parameters, HTML Output from Java Servlet

    I have a Java Servlet that reads parameters passed from an HTML form and displays them to another HTML page. I know the servlet is being invoked; however, I am not seeing any HTML output. Sending the output to a file reveals the parameters are coming in as NULL as well.
    I attempted a simple sample app with the same results. Here is what I am running:
    The HTML Form:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>Collecting Three Parameters</TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY BGCOLOR="#FDF5E6">
    <H1 ALIGN="CENTER">Collecting Three Parameters</H1>
    <FORM ACTION="ThreeParams">
    First Parameter: <INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="param1"><BR>
    Second Parameter: <INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="param2"><BR>
    Third Parameter: <INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="param3"><BR>
    <CENTER><INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT"></CENTER>
    </FORM>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    The Java Code:
    public class ThreeParams extends HttpServlet {
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request,
    HttpServletResponse response)
    throws ServletException, IOException {
    response.setContentType("text/html");
    PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
    String title = "Reading Three Request Parameters";
    out.println("<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC \"-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 " +
         "Transitional//EN\">\n" +
    "<BODY BGCOLOR=\"#FDF5E6\">\n" +
    "<H1 ALIGN=\"CENTER\">" + title + "</H1>\n" +
    "<UL>\n" +
    " <LI><B>param1</B>: "
    + request.getParameter("param1") + "\n" +
    " <LI><B>param2</B>: "
    + request.getParameter("param2") + "\n" +
    " <LI><B>param3</B>: "
    + request.getParameter("param3") + "\n" +
    "</UL>\n" +
    "</BODY></HTML>");
    What happens when I "submit" from the form is the same form reloads with the query string in the URL: "http://localhost:8080/ThreeParams/?param1=1&param2=2&param3=3"
    Any assistance with either (or both) would be thoroughly appreciated:
    a) why the parameters are not being passed correctly to the servlet
    b) why the HTML output page is not displayed
    Thanks in advance!

    I have found the answer to my problem listed in another thread.
    Thank you.

    I created a site column at the root of my site and I have publishing turned on.  I selected the Hyperlink with formatting and constraints for publishing.
    I went to my subsite and added the column.  The request was to have "Open in new tab" for their hyperlinks.  I was able to get the column to be added and yesterday we added items without a problem.
    The problem arose when, today, a user told me that he could not edit the hyperlink.  He has modify / delete permissions on this list.
    He would edit the item, in a custom list, and click on the address "click to add a new hyperlink" and then he would get the error below after succesfully putting in the Selected URL (http://www.xxxxxx.com), Open

    We had the same issue after applying the SP2 & August CU. we open the case with MSFT and get the same resolution as you mentioned.
    I blog about this issue and having the office reference.
    Later MSFT release the Hotfix for this on December 10, 2013 which i am 100% positive should be part of future CUs.
    So if you apply the April CU then you will be fine.
    Please remember to mark your question as answered &Vote helpful,if this solves/helps your problem. ****************************************************************************************** Thanks -WS MCITP(SharePoint 2010, 2013) Blog: http://wscheema.com/blog

  • How to Set Up TextEdit as an HTML or Plain Text Editor?

    How to Set Up TextEdit as an HTML or Plain Text Editor?

    Well,
    There are 5 choices to choose from on the page. In the description of the choices at the bottom of the page there are 7, and the two additional choices talk about having to first have registered the site with SSO. So...I'm interpreting that as meaning that other 2 possible choices would be displayed if the site is registered with SSO. That, plus the fact that the page which describes how to add the site to SSO seems to think that the SSO choices are displayed in the wizard.
    So, no, there's no "exact launguage" that says what the reason is for the choices not being displayed. Can you point me to some exact language that tells me how to get those choices displayed?

  • Parsing the FRAME tag from HTML pages

    Hello to everybody,
    I am trying to parse the A tags & the Frame tags from HTML pages. I have developed the code below, which works for the A tags but it does not work for the Frame tags. Is there any idea about this?
    private void getLinks() throws Exception {
         System.out.println(diskName);
    links=new ArrayList();
    frames=new ArrayList();
    BufferedReader rd = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(diskName));
    // Parse the HTML
    EditorKit kit = new HTMLEditorKit();
    HTMLDocument doc = (HTMLDocument)kit.createDefaultDocument();
    doc.putProperty("IgnoreCharsetDirective", new Boolean(true));
    try {
         kit.read(rd, doc, 0);
    catch (RuntimeException e) {return;}
    // Find all the FRAME elements in the HTML document, It finds nothing
         HTMLDocument.Iterator it = doc.getIterator(HTML.Tag.FRAME);
    while(it.isValid()) {
    SimpleAttributeSet s = (SimpleAttributeSet)it.getAttributes();
    String frameSrc = (String)s.getAttribute(HTML.Attribute.SRC);
         frames.add(frameSrc);

    if (link != null)
