Setting a directory as browsable

Hi,
Is there any option to set or make a directory containing static content like html as browsable when using weblogic server either as a app server or web server..
Regards
Raj

Hi,
Looking into WL documentation, I did found something that WL has to provide directory listing. Even when it looks like the use is somehow disencouraged, you just have to map the directory you want to browse to the FileServlet (weblogic.servlet.FileServlet) or use a config change on the weblogic.xml file and add this
<weblogic-web-app>
<index-directory-enabled>true</index-directory-enabled>
</weblogic-web-app>
This last options is more that somehow disincouraged as every directory that does not have a, index.* file will show it's listing.
Regards,
LG

  • Unable to set working directory (-2147024832) for some app installs

    I've found several drivers on a Dell Laptop that don't play well with others in MDT 2012, so I started making an application install package for them instead.  Most of them fail with an "unable to set working directory" error.  I checked
    the app install logs and they don't really make any sense to me.  I know the process as a whole works, because I can install .Net 4.0 runtimes without any problems using the same method.  The important bits of the ZTI App log are below.  Would
    be for any guidance on this, as I'm stumped and none of the searches on the exact errors are of much help.
    A sample error returned in the wizard is:

    Why can't it find it or set the working directory, especially when it's already validated that it's there?
    --smthng

    I'm not familiar with how Dell does their client side software, but for the server-side software (my area of expertise), I've always done something like the following:
    I recommend running every application install in a VBScript/Powershell wrapper.  You get logging for the application back on your SLShare as well as its cleaner (you can replace Drivers A05 with A06 by changing the script, rather than editing the application
    in MDT).
    sApplicationName = "Dell 12G Chipset"
    oLogging.CreateEntry "Install-" & sApplicationName & ": Starting " & sApplicationName & " installation", LogTypeInfo
    '//Set Destination Folder
    sDestFolder = "c:\temp\"
    '//Set Source Install Directory
    sSourceDir = oUtility.ScriptDir
    sSourceDir = sSourceDir & "\Source"
    '//Check that folder exists, if not, create it.
    oLogging.CreateEntry "Install-" & sApplicationName & ": Check that " & sDestFolder & " exists.", LogTypeInfo
    if not oFSO.FolderExists (sDestFolder) then
    oFSO.CreateFolder sDestFolder
    End If
    '//Copy folder from MDT share to C:\Temp
    oLogging.CreateEntry "Install-" & sApplicationName & ": Copy from " & sSourceDir & " to " & sDestFolder, LogTypeInfo
    oFSO.CopyFolder sSourceDir, sDestFolder
    '//Sleep for 2 seconds to allow copy to finish
    wscript.sleep 2000
    sFile = sDestFolder & "Source\setup.exe"
    '// Check if file/folder exists
    If not oFSO.FileExists(sFile) then
    oLogging.CreateEntry "Install-" & sApplicationName & ": " & sFile & " was not found, unable to install " & sApplicationName & "", LogTypeError
    ZTIProcess = Failure
    Exit Function
    End if
    '// Create log entry to show file being run
    oLogging.CreateEntry "" & sFile & " -s", LogTypeInfo
    iRetVal = oUtility.RunWithHeartbeat("" & sFile & " -s")
    if (iRetVal = 0) or (iRetVal = 3010) then
    ZTIProcess = Success
    Else
    ZTIProcess = Failure
    End If
    wscript.sleep 15000
    '// Disable Zone Checks
    oEnv("SEE_MASK_NOZONECHECKS") = 1
    '//Folder Cleanup
    oFSO.DeleteFolder sDestFolder & "Source"
    I always copy any drivers that are installed after the fact (everything for me other than SAS/NIC drivers) to the C:\Temp as it can break.  I always update my NIC drivers during the build to the latest Dell software using their packs.  I try to
    not mess with my boot image unless I'm adding a new model that is not supported by the built-in drivers.

  • Setting Prompt Directory path using a string variable?

    So when you define a Prompt you get the form P[promptname.wav] and all is good.  What we want to do is have that prompt name be retrieved from a prompt directory which is defined by a string.   So assume all your prompts have the same numbers like 1001.wav but the actual file is customized based on things like Sales/1001.wav and Marketing/1001.wav   and you want to have a StringValue DirectoryName set the Directory to Sales or Marketing.   The Script does not seem to support setting P["DirectoryName"/1001.wav] where Directory Name is a string variable.    Is there a solution to this other than changing the entire prompt to a string type and dropping the P[] data type entirely?

    I am working with a similar issue.   It is simple enought to set the Prompt Directory but when it is a variable it seems to have different results.  The attached simple script is used to demonstrate Sam's recommendation.  The XML document is embedded in the script variable, so you dont need to create it.   So the script reaches into the XML document and pulls up the variable strDirectoryName and then adds "/" to it and then sets the strPromptDirectory.   I have done it three ways:  Hard coded, string value for prompt' and prompt data type resolved from string.  As you single step through the script you will find that all values populate appropriately, but only the hard coded play prompt actually plays the prompt.  The other two assemblies fail.  (Clearly it assumes the prompt 10001.wav is in the directory Generic/ if you want to try it).    Written in  Version 8.5 editor.

  • Set default directory/path for SaveAs Dialog using WPG_DOCLOAD

    Hi, im trying to set the default directory/path for the SaveAs Dialog called by wpg_docload.download_file.
    I'm not able to find where I can specify the default path.
    Is it something like "htp.p('Content-Disposition: attachment; path=:PX_OUTPUT_DIR" ?
    Thx for your help !
    Here's a part of my code
    owa_util.mime_header( NVL(mime,'application/octet'), FALSE );
    htp.p('Content-length: ' || length);
    htp.p('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="'||substr(fileName,INSTR(fileName,'/')+1)|| '"');
    owa_util.http_header_close;
    wpg_docload.download_file( lobLoc );
    /*********************/

    I don't believe you're allowed to set the directory path in the Content-Disposition (or any other) header. More accurately, you can set path in the filename, but browsers don't pay any attention to that, they only look at only the terminal filename.
    <p>According to RFC 2183, browsers are supposed to ignore any path information sent with the filename. Even though it's dated 1997, I believe this RFC is still in effect.
    <p>This was done as a security precaution against malicious web apps that might try to download into a system directory or other dangerous place. Also, browsers (usually) allow users to specify their own default download directories. Further, even if you could specify the path, you'd have to do it for any and all filesystems (Linux, Mac HFS, Mac OSX, Windows, etc etc).

  • How to set default directory for SQL LOADER

    hi all,
    i wanted to know how can we setup a default directory for SQL LOADER if at all we can. i connot place my control and data files in local system and use them at command prompt. rather i wanted to know if we can set default directory that the loader can use. this requirement is basically to enable all the clients to upload the data placed on the server and use the loader utility.
    thanks in advance,

    Ella,
    You don't say which version of SQL Developer you are using via Citrix, but just setting the SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR hasn't worked for a long time (see Re: SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR does not function anymore). Also, since version 1.5, the default for the user directory (now set via ide.user.dir as shown below) is under the user profile area (relative to %APPDATA%), which you should be able to write to, even on Citrix.
    Assuming that neither of those help, you will need to get whoever installed SQL Developer on the Citrix C: drive to modify the sqldeveloper.conf to have a line like, where the path exists for everyone who will be using the shared SQL Developer (assumes everyone has a H: drive):
    AddVMOption -Dide.user.dir=H:\sqldeveloperAn alternative (depending on how you start SQL Developer via Citrix), is to create your own shortcut to start SQL Developer with something like:
    sqldeveloper -J-Dide.user.dir="%SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR%"theFurryOne

  • Setting up Directory Handlers under Cisco Unity Connection

    Good Day All,
    I am in the process of setting up directory handlers for Cisco Unity connection.
    When I dial the extension for the directory handler ;  I hear the default Cisco Unity connection greeting instead of being prompted for the search.
    Can anyone shed any light on why this is happening?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks very much
    Regards
    Amanda

    Hi javalenc,
    Of course ,  that was right.  I worked it out in the end.
    I was trying to copy the configuration from an older version of CUC and basically added an un-needed call forwarding rule under the Directory Handler.  As soon as I removed it; the directory worked normally.
    The other thing I learned last weekend was that the order of the routing rules is important.
    My directory had the first priority and it was causing people who wanted to leave a voicemail for other users to get the prompts for the directory.
    Thanks so much for the help though.

    We have added a Lion server to an active directory domain, however I cannot determine how to set Active Directory permissions on shared folders on the Mac. Ideally we want our windows users to access shared folders on the Mac however we would like to lock them down so we can restrict some users.
    Is anyone able to point me in the right direction?

  • Setting a directory path

    I'm finding that I can only edit all the files within a directory that the program runs in. Is there a way of setting a directory path and being able to play with the files within.
    I've set the path with the "." before, but could not change anyything, not unless the program resides in the directory.
    I saw setdirectory(), method but couldn't get it to work, is this only for File chooser.
    File directory = new File(".");
    File[] files = directory.listFiles();
    for(int x = 0; x < files.length; x++)
                     if(files[x].isFile()) dim.addElement(files[x].getName());;
            }

    Java doesn't have anything like chdir command. You can use relative paths from the default path or you can use an absolute path in a File object.
    For example:
    new File("c:\\windows\\system32\\cmd.exe").rename("c:\\windows\\system32\\newname.exe");

  • Set default directory and file permissions

    I'm trying to use setfacl to set the default permissions for directories and files but I get an error saying "sudo: setfacl: command not found." What I am trying to do is share a specific directory on a local external drive connected by Thunderbolt. Everyone in the group has access to the drive and can view all the files but once a new file is created, the group permissions are not updated. Here is an example of two PDF file. The one created by userA only has permissions for that user where the file created by userB allows all users to open and modity the file.
    -rw-------   1 userA    staff   1988176 Feb 13 15:09 TestFile01.pdf
    -rwxr-----+  1 userB  staff   1827102 Feb 13 15:05 TestFile02.pdf
    0: group:MarketingGroup allow read,write,append,readattr,writeattr,readextattr,writeextattr,readsecurity
    I can manually update the permissions through the Get Info window but this requires me to reset permissions every time a person saves a new file to the drive. There needs to be a way to do this automatically.
    Here is what I tried but the setfacl command is not supported.
    sudo setfacl -Rdm g:GroupName:rwx /DirectoryPath

    Thanks Frank. I have an externat drive connected to my Mac via Thunderbolt. On this drive I have a specific directory that I'm shairing with Mac and PC users. I've created a group on the network to limit access to this directory to specific users. That works perfectly. The issue I'm having is when one of these users creates a new file in this directory or any of it's subdirectories, no one has permission to open or edit the file. Right now I'm using Get Info to modify the permissions of the folder and all enclosed items. When I check the permissions of the files I've "corrected" I notice this extra imformation "0: group:MarketingGroup allow read,write,append,readattr,writeattr,readextattr,writeextattr,readsecurity." This is not included when I check the permissions of items saved by other uses in the group.
    So my question is how do I set the default permissions for this directory so every new file and directory will have the correct permissions to allow anyone in this group full access to open and modify every file?
    Thanks for your help!!!!

  • Best practice for setting up directory for application specific entries

    In OID I want to add some information we need for our authorisation. The default authorisation isn't enough: users are allowed to access servlets if the data belongs to a group. And possibly they are allowed more then one roles for more then one data-groups. So for examle: datagroup1+role1+, datagroup1+role2 and datagroup2+role1.
    I want to define a application-specific tree for this data, something like:
    - Lariscontext (our application)
    ____|-Groups
    ______|--- group1 --- role1
    ______|_________|- role2
    ______|----group2 --- role1
    ________________|- role3
    And from the user-entry I want to refer to those entries, with constraints to check if they exist.
    - users
    ______|---- user1
    ____________attributs:cn=role1,cn=group1
    ____________________cn=role2,cn=group1
    ____________________cn=role1,cn=group2
    Are there any guidelines of how to do this, which object classes are usefull etc? Should I do this this way.
    regards,
    Eelco

    Did you ever come up with a way to set up the directory to handle the authorization details as you described. I have pretty much the same situation and I am looking for a starting point as to how best to setup the directory tree's users.

  • How to set nondefault directory for SQL Developer on Citrix (terminal)

    Hi
    My purpose is that , when I click"open" button on SQL Developer I hope it prompts out a defined diretory rather than the default one.The problem here is I'm using Citrix paltform in the terminal end and hence I don't authorization to do any modification on the C:\ drive (server end)
    I got this guide lines from the tutorial but I can reset the rying directory by either way.
    To specify a nondefault SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR location, do either of the
    following:
    ■ Set the SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR environment variable to specify another
    directory path.
    ■ Edit the <sqldeveloper_
    install>\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf file
    and substitute the desired directory path for SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR in the
    following line:
    SetUserHomeVariable SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR
    1.After I execute below command on cmd, the variavle has been set but still it navigates to the default directory:
    set SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR=U:\sql
    2.I want to modify the "sqldeveloper.conf " file but since it is located in C: drive I don't have right to modify it.(I'm using terminal as stated above)
    Could anyone help me out ??
    Ella

    Ella,
    You don't say which version of SQL Developer you are using via Citrix, but just setting the SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR hasn't worked for a long time (see Re: SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR does not function anymore).

  • Setting Search Directory with LabVIEW RTE

    Hi,
    I've LabVIEW 8.0.1 run time engine installed on target computer and would like to run LabVIEW executable on target computer.  I also have required low level support VIs for developed VIs.
    Question is: how do I set the search directory for low level VIs with LabVIEW run time engine installed on the system.
    Suggestions/comments are appreciated.  Thank you.

    If your hierarchy is the same as was in the IDE, then there won't be a need to search for the VIs. If the VIs are not found where they are expected to be, then LV (including the RTE) starts to search for them first in the folder where the VI\application is and then in the folders in its list. To change the list, you need to place the viSearchPath key in your application's INI file. You can copy this key from the labview.ini file and then modify the paths listed in it.
    Try to take over the world!
