Setting color in 3D chart series depending on values

Hi,
I have a problem with a flash chart.
Is it possible to set element color depending on element value?
I mean, I have a 3D column chart with a serie ranging from 0 to 100 possible values.
I would like to have blue color element (column) when element value is under 70 and red color element when element value is between 70 and 100.
Anyone has any suggestion?
Thank you very much
matte

In that example that I sent you, which I did not write by the way, you will notice that there is some custom XML generated by the On Demand Process. Near the beginning of that xml is a line defining the series
<series name="Salary Thresholds">The charting engine uses this name for the legend. You could either remove the name element or set the name="". I believe that would do the trick. You would also have to set the default color of the series to transparent.
I have not actually attempted this so I am suggesting this as a theory. I sincerely do hope it works.

  • How do I set default colors for XY chart series (lines and legend)

    I am implementing a line chart and need to override the default (caspian style) colors for the line colors and the legend symbols. I'm not displaying the chart symbols themselves as that would make the chart look bad. I've been able to successfully set the default colors for the lines via the CSS below, but cannot find a way to do the same for the series symbols that appear in the chart legend. How do I do this? Thanks.
    .default-color0.chart-series-line {
      -fx-stroke: rgb(0, 102, 255);
    .default-color1.chart-series-line {
      -fx-stroke: rgb(0, 255, 102);
    ...Update:
    Figured it out. Need to do the following:
    .default-color0.chart-line-symbol {
      -fx-background-color: rgb(R, G, B);
    }Edited by: 998038 on May 16, 2013 4:09 PM

    Here is some css to customize the line and legend colors in a line chart.
    /** file: chart.css
        place in same directory as LineChartWithCustomColors.java */
    .default-color0.chart-series-line {
      -fx-stroke: rgb(0, 102, 255);
    .default-color1.chart-series-line {
      -fx-stroke: rgb(0, 255, 102);

  • How to set the (specific) color for a Chart Series in a Flash Diagramm

    Hello all,
    I wonder how I can set the color (of a bar) for a Chart Series in a Flash Diagramm.
    So far I found now set-screw for this.
    Can someone give me a hint please.
    Thanks in advance.
    Andre

    Hi,
    On the Chart Attributes page for the region, change the "Color Scheme" setting to Custom. Then, in the "Custom Colors" setting, enter the colours you want for all series, separated by a comma. For example:
    red,yellow,greenAndy

  • 2D Column Flash Chart - Series Showing Zero Values in Chart

    Hi,
    I have created a 2D Column Flash Chart - with 6 series with different coloring of bars..I have obtained the result as I wanted.
    Now the problem is the distance between one series to another series is filled up with value 0.
    Anybody please help me remove the 0 value in chart which is coming between series.
    Thanks
    JP

    Hello,
    I guess you must have data that reflect the 0 value, no?
    In your query can you do WHERE value <> 0, so they don't get taken into account or is it the purpose to keep them in?
    Thanks.

  • Possible to use formulas in chart series data?

    Hello, I need to build chart series from manual values. This is possible but Excel accepts only raw values. When I try to use a calculated value, excel rejects the series format.
    =SERIES("Supply";(Sheet1!$A$97;Sheet1!$H$47);(Sheet3!$B$10;Sheet3!$B$10);4)
    is accepted. I need to adjust it to something like
    =SERIES("Supply";(DATEVALUE("31.12.2014");MAX(Sheet1!A:A;Sheet1!H:H));(Sheet3!$B$10/365;Sheet3!$B$10/365);4)
    this however doesn't fit. Does Excel provide a format for inline evaluating without need to use auxiliary cells?

    It is not possible to evaluate formulas within a Series formula. You can use Names to calculate individual values from formulas, return an array of values or use a dynamic Name to return an array of cells and use Names in Series formulas.
    However for your purposes I don't think even use of Names would help; from your first example your formulas return multiple cell areas (albeit only one cell in each area) and your second example aims to return an array with each formulas calculating each
    element, you'd need a Name of Names which I don't think would work.
    Even if you could do it the way you want I think it would be a bad approach. Why not make use of cells, there's no shortage of them and it would make things much easier for maintenance.

  • Getting error while setting color to table rows?

    Hi All
    I am trying to setting colors to table rows based on dropdown value.
    lv_Dropdown vaue =1 i want to set one color, 2-another color like that.
    For this I create attribute CELL_DESIGN of type WDUI_TABLE_CELL_DESIGN in node, and i bind this attribute to every column celldesign property in table. and my code in on select of dropdown.
      data lr_column type ref to cl_wd_table_column.
    data:obj_table type ref to cl_wd_table.
    lr_column = obj_table->get_column( id = 'TABLE_WEEK1' ).
    if lv_dropdown = 1.
       lr_column->set_cell_design(
    cl_wd_table_column=>e_cell_design-badvalue_dark ).
    endif.
    lr_column->bind_cell_design( path = 'SEGMENT1.CELL_DESIGN'  ). ...Giving dump at r_colum = get_column( )
    I follow correct code or not??
    Cheers,
    Venkys.

    Sorry Sarbjeet and baskaran i am not getting,
    I want to set colors to row of a table on dropdown selection. In dropdown i ahve a code like
    DATA lo_nd_segment1 TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
      DATA lo_el_segment1 TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.
      DATA ls_segment1 TYPE wd_this->Element_segment1.
      data lt_segment1 type wd_this->elements_segment1.
      DATA lv_segment TYPE wd_this->Element_segment1-segment.
    navigate from <CONTEXT> to <SEGMENT1> via lead selection
      lo_nd_segment1 = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_segment1 ).
    get element via lead selection
      lo_el_segment1 = lo_nd_segment1->get_element( ).
      lo_el_segment1 = WDEVENT->GET_CONTEXT_ELEMENT( 'CONTEXT_ELEMENT' ).
    get all declared attributes
      lo_el_segment1->get_static_attributes(
        IMPORTING
          static_attributes = ls_segment1 ).
    DATA : lv_dropdown type string .
    lv_dropdown =  ls_segment1-segment.
    if lv_dropdown = 1.  SET ONE COLOR TO THAT ROW
    endif.
    if lv_dropdown = 2.  SET ONE COLOR TO THAT ROW
    endif.
    Now what should be the code in WDMODIFYVIEW method to set table row with colors.
    Cheers,
    Venkys.

  • Single Chart Series with multiple color data points

    I am developing an application using the flex chart component
    and I am binding data to 3 different chart series which is pretty
    intense processing. I was wondering can I use only one chart series
    and when I bind the data points just to change the color per data
    point which meet certain criteria?
    Here one method from my application where I am dynamically
    binding data to my series.
    private function loadSeries(data:XMLList, yAxis:String):void
    seriesAdd.yField = yAxis;
    seriesAdd.xField = "Date";
    //seriesDelete.yField = yAxis;
    //seriesDelete.xField = "Date";
    //seriesChange.yField = yAxis;
    //seriesChange.xField = "Date";
    seriesAdd.dataProvider = data.Trade.(A == 'Add');
    seriesAdd.//Can I change the color per each data point if I
    have multiple data sets?
    //seriesDelete.dataProvider = data.Trade.(A == 'Delete');
    //seriesChange.dataProvider = data.Trade.(A == 'Change');
    Thank you

    I think I found something to get me started:
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=charts_displayingdata_09.html
    My next question is if I have the following function to fill
    my data points:\
    private function myFillFunction(element:ChartItem,
    index:Number):IFill {
    var c:SolidColor = new SolidColor(0x00CC00);
    var item:ColumnSeriesItem = ColumnSeriesItem(element);
    var sales:Number = Number(item.yValue);
    if (sales >= 50000) {
    return c;
    } else {
    // They have not met their goal.
    c.color = 0xFF0000;
    return c;
    How can I access values that pertain to the specific chart
    item, but are not plotted on the x and y axis. Something similar to
    the checking on the above function, but check if value that is not
    plotted but still exists on the data provider.
    Thanks in advance.

  • CR 9 - Need HELP Setting Line Graph colors in the Chart Expert

    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    Hello,
    I created a Crystal Report (CR) based off an existing Trend Analysis report. I have created a VB6 application that calls the .RPT file I created for the report in CR.  The VB6 app sets the report recordset via code that corresponds to the .TTX file, and the parameters .  The report contains a Line graph that plots five pieces of data.  The report & graph work good.  The Problem: CR determines the color of each line on the graph.  However, I need to set the color for each line to correspond to the colors used on our existing reports.  The users are accustom to a certain color representing a certain set of data on the existing reports.   I have tried everything I can think of and from all documentation I can find, and nothing changes the line colors.   I have tried all of the following:
    1.) From the Chart Expert, Option tab, I click the Format button next to Color and setup conditional color settings per each piece of data.   However, when I run the report these conditional color settings are not reflected on the CR graph.     I am using formula fields (based off database fields in the recordset) to produce the report.  However, I only see the database fields to use in the conditional color formatting screen and not the formula fields.    I thought this would possibly be the cause why the colors wonu2019t change on the CR, but I canu2019t find a way to make the formula fields show up in the list.
    2.)Also, I tried right clicking the individual lines of the graph and change the selected item color, but this didnu2019t change the color either.  I do this in Design mode and Preview mode and neither one changes the color of the lines on the graph.
    3.)I have also looked into the CR object model to see if I can change the line colors of the graph via code and it doesn't look like I am given this flexibility.
    Do you know what I am doing wrong here?   I just want to be able to set the color of each line on the CR graph to the color I want instead of using the default colors.  Are there some Hot Fixes that I need to apply to my copy of CR?
    Thanks

    Hello,
    I got the problem fixed w/ the line graph not making the data lines the same color on the report as on the frmPlot graph.   Compare the two screen shots below.   The problem was as follows:  When I created the graph (in the Chart Expert) the field u201CReadingDateu201D was not one of the Report Fields, and all the other fields were Report Fields (Reading, LowAlarm, UpperAlarm, LowerLimit, & UpperLimit). See the 3rd screen shot below.  ReadingDate does show up as a Report Field now but it wasnu2019t at first.   Originally, this field was only available in the Chart Expert as a recordset field.  When I changed this field to be a Report Field, the graph then allowed me to change the data series line colors.   This was not obvious at all.   From the beginning when I setup the graph and passed in the recordset from VB it graphed all of the data series fine.   The colors that the Chart Expert chose for each line just didnu2019t match what was on the frmPlot graph.   Anyway, it is working now.     I can at least say I learned (somethingu2019s to-do and somethingu2019s not to-do) a good bit about Crystal Reports in the process.

  • Any way to set color for value in chart and still filter out values (but retain colors)?

    Is there any way that I can hard code a color into a chart and still filter out values?
    I have 5 divisions, each with a specific color.  I have put them into a stacked column chart and it looks fine.  My issue arises when I try to filter out some of the divisions.  The colors do not stay with the specified divisions.
    Ex.)
      Div 1 = Red
      Div 2 = Green
      Div 3 = Black
    When I filter out Div 1, this is what I see:
    Div 2 = Red
    Div 3 = Green
    I have tried standard delivered filter panel, and check-boxes using CHART_1.setDataSelection( )
    It seems like the color hard coding in the "additional" properties of the chart are not tied to the value, but are determined by sort order.  Any help is greatly appreciated

    Hi,
    There is one Possibility bu not By chart .
    It will look like chart but will use Text box .
    Lets say you have 5 Divisions & 3 Key figures .
    Then You need 5 * 3 = 15 Text box .
    Arrange them in 5 columns and 3 rows type of view .
    now .
    set fix width for all .
    set the height & position by coding
    You need to set this type of code for filter selection also .

  • PIE Chart Color Highlight - setting colors

    Hi
    PIE Chart showing default colors even after setting the diffent colors to OIE chart slices from Color Highlight tab.
    PIE chart is showing only one slice when I select Data for the PIE Char is "For all records".
    Could you please let me know how to set the different colors for slices?
    Thank you

    hi,
    As you are selecting 'Color Highlight' for different Pie Slices,  "For all records" option shouldn't be selected.
    It should be "On Change of".
    Then obviously you will see the colors specified in 'Color Hghlight' tab.

  • Change color in chart series (Chart Controls)?

    Does anyone know if it's possible to change the color within a series in Microsoft Chart Controls?  My data is X = test time and Y = response time using a column graph.  Currently when the test to collect response time fails it does not
    record a numerical value and when graphed it appears as though the response time was minimal.  I want to make it stand out when a failure occurs, for example to draw a large column and change the color to red (other values are in blue).
    I don't have much experience using Chart Controls yet.  I know you can use an alternate color with a different series of data but it doesn't appear you can change it from within.
    This is my chart series (when a test fails, the response matches "" and not $NULL):
    [void]$chart1.Series.Add("ResponseTime")
    $chart1.Series["ResponseTime"].ChartType = "Line"
    $chart1.Series["ResponseTime"].BorderWidth  = 1
    $chart1.Series["ResponseTime"].IsVisibleInLegend = $true
    $chart1.Series["ResponseTime"].chartarea = "ChartArea1"
    $chart1.Series["ResponseTime"].color = "#0404B4"
    $DATA | ForEach-Object {
    If ($_.RESPONSE_MS -eq "") {
    $chart1.Series["ResponseTime"].Points.addxy("FAIL",9999)
    Else {
    $chart1.Series["ResponseTime"].Points.addxy( $_.TIME.Remove(5) , ($_.RESPONSE_MS)) }
    I tried changing the color within the if/else but the first .color value it picks up will be used throughout.

  • How to set colors in cells depending the conditions  in alvtree

    Hi All,
    Could you please provide me idea or sample program how to set colors in cells depending the conditions  in alvtree.

    When running vim in a terminal, it will use whatever colour scheme is defined by the terminal.  You should have a look at this thread:

  • Setting colors based on values in charts

    Hello
    Can anyone please provide some information on how to set colors based on certain values in the data object in Charts. I have a pie chart and we would like to show a certain color for some values (if the data object has a value of 0, for those slices in the pie chart, we want to show Red color). I tried creating a calculated field setting some HTML using an IF expression. I am not able to select the category for this calculated field as HTML under Value Format tab. Is this something that is possible in a pie chart?
    We are using BAM 10.1.3.3
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    This feature is not available for charts at the moment. For list views, the way you were trying is the way to go, you will have to create a calculated field with HTML that shows a color image based on the value in any of the columns, and finally, select that calculated field as one of the fields of the report.
