Setting the Varinace Reporting Property Through Load Rule

Hi,
I have built a Dimension build rule to build the accounts dimension(Parent Child) and also the Properties like "Data Stroage" and "variance reporting Expense" and also UDA.The dimension is getting build perfectly and also the "data Storage" property and UDA but the "Varinace reporting property" is not set even though the load rule is perfect and also i see the success message while loading.
I reviwed the Member Property Codes and it is given as
E Treat as an expense item (applies to accounts dimensions only)
and i am using the same.
the build rule is as follows:
Parent0 Accounts,Child0 Accounts,Alias0 Accounts,Property0 Accounts,UDA0 Accounts,Property1 Accounts.
i know i am missing some thing,kinldy advice.

Hi,
I just now reviewed and fixed the issue.First i changed the the file to Property0 accounts and secondly in the Global Properties i have to select the case as "Original".after doing the changes i saved the rule and loaded the file.The Variance reporting Property is perfect.

ENDLOOP.
I dont want to use cell variants also.
Help me to achieve this.

Setting the custom master page through powershell is NOT working

Hi,
I am writing the below code to set the custom master page through powershell.
But its not working .when i went to site settings-->master page --> in the drodown , the maste page set is seattle.master ONLY, though my current master page is available in the dropdown.
Can anyone pls help, whether i am missing in the below :

How to set the disable,visible property in declarative components.

We have used one declarative component. It consists of 5 buttons (add,delete,save,delete,print). In all of our pages, this declarative component is used. We could bind methods and was able to use each pages seperately (by linking the methods in the backing bean)
But for implementing the DISABLE,VISIBLE properties, we have added the attributes for this and refered this to the corresponding disable and visible property of the button. In the page all these properties where reflected. But at the runtime these buttons are not coming.
Can anyone advise how can we set the disable,visible property in declarative components.

i hvnt initialized the properties ,
in my declarative component i have one button say Save button and i want to config 2 properties Disable and Visible
i added two attributes ( java.lang.Boolean ) say disablr_btn ,*visible_btn* and mapped wth the Save button Properties Disabled and Visible using expressions
Now the button is invisible while running the page.
if i remove the mapping from properties Disable and visible , the button is visible
should i init the properties in faces config , i dnt knw hw to init the properties

I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5
I have a table called "Employee"
Columns :- id , name , location
Data :- 1, ,james , chicago
2 ,Raj ,capetown
Now i have another webservice(created as a webservice dataControl) which sends me the "id" on each time my page loads.Now the id which has been returned by webservice should be incorporated in my VO Query as in where clause to fetch the data for the respective "id" in that "Employee" table and should be rendered on form.
Eg :- Id "2" has been sent by the webservice then the record should be fetched from database should be "2","raj","capetown".
I know that there would be necessity of bind variable , but how do i set the bind variable on page load ?
How can i use the bind variable appropriately ??

Forms 10g : How to set the Database Item property for an item dynamically ?

Hello all,
I have a requirement where I need to set the database item property of an item to TRUE/FALSE
dynamically at runtime based on certain conditions.
Earlier, in forms 6i I've used,
Set_Item_Property (<item_name>, DATABASE_ITEM, PROPERTY_TRUE);
But in Forms 10g it doesn't recognize this Database_Item property and gives a compilation error.
Have I overlooked something or has this property become obsolete in Forms 10g ?
If obsoleted what is the replacement property ?

Some options:
1. Create a database-view, including the "real" column in databases where it exists and a "dummy"-column in databases where it doesn't exist.
If that's not possible,
2. set database="No" for your item and
-- create a POST-QUERY-trigger which reads the data for that column from the database, if the column exists, and

How do you set the Crystal Report Viewer Printer to Duplex

Using the code below I can print in duplex mode, but this does not let me view a report before printing

Report data ( value ... tag) missing in the Webi report retrieved through RestFul Webservice

I am trying the below URL to get the WEBi report from SAP BO using the Rest Webservice support that is now available.

I am able to get the report but as I compare the same report response when using SAOP Webservice, there seems to be a mismatch in the response. Here is what I see in the SOAP response:

<property name="output.format.xml.td.bandinfo">yes</property>

I am not sure if:
the <value ...> tag miss is because of these missing/extra properties or
current REST support has some issues
For my application the value tag is a must and I can't do without this, but with REST it seems no way to obtain that.

According to our Product Owner Sam Polichouk, the solution should be available for you in 4.1 SP3, which is currently scheduled for release by the end of March 2014 (subject to change). The product team recommends that you get the raw, unformatted data values from within the Dataset specific call. This data contains a type to tell the end user what kind of data it is, so you can format it or use it properly.
The updated documentation for the SDK will be available at SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.1 – SAP Help Portal Page once the Support Pack is publicly released.

Do I have to use a PeriodicSchedule ?

Use the Calendar schedule. set the schedule property as following in your scheduler
schedule=calendar * * * * 6,21 0
The value of 6,21 specifies that its going to run once at 6AM and other time at 9PM everyday.

Setting the layer color property with javascript

Is it possible to set a layer's color in the layers palette using javascript?
By default everything shows up with no layer color but if you right click (ctrl-click) on a layer you have the option to change the color to Red, Orange, Yellow, etc.
My question is can I do this with a script?
I can lock a layer, change it's visibility and opacity, but I can't seem to find any reference to that particular property.
Any help is appreciated.

Setting editingMode (table's property) through a button pressing

Hello ereryone.
I'm using jDev 11.1.2.3
I have an af:table and set editingMode=clickToEdit.
It would be nice if there were a button before the table that actually controls that property. So, the user selects one row and then presses the button and the code in there sets the editingMode to clickToEdit and makes the record editable.
The problem is that I don't have a clue how to do this! How the code should be like.
Can anyone provide with a tip, a use case... etc ?

LAF project : can I set the item prompt font through the CSS ?

I'm implementing an application that is installed with multiple customers. I've added in the LAF jar and used the .GUIProperties to set the Item font and colours (so each customer can choose a LAF without rebuidling the system).
However, whilst this works, is there a way that I can set the Prompt properties using the .GUIProperties in the CSS - I can't see one (looking in the getContainerContent(Container ct)) part of the jar.
Is there a simple way of doing this ? (ie: set the prompts for the application through one call to the .GUIProperties in
PKG_LOOK_AND_FEEL.Set_GUI_Properties( '.GUIProperties1', 'LAF_BLOCK.LAF_BEAN' ) ;

Set the role in runtime through JDBC

I 've set the role for a user with the privilege of running the Stored procedure in runtime just in that session and it's giving me the error PLS-102 saying that it cannot identify that procedure, but when I grant that role through the SQLPLUS my program (JSP) works fine. Does enybody knoe how can i fix this problem?

Is the role set as a default role?
Are you explicitly enabling the role by executing a SET ROLE command?

In the DSP, get/set the data of SCXI1162 through Multifunction E series board

I am integrating DSP board(cPCI) with your scxi1162, pxi-1052, pxi-6040e.
For the configuration of scxi-1162, the sbc will do that and DSP read the data
through pxi-6040e. Can I do this ?
Because you made the driver for pxi-6040e with scxi-1162 and I can not see the source code,
It is difficult to make my own code for reading data of scxi-1162. Even though I made
and test the code according to the manual of scxi-1162, I can not success.
If you give one or two source code(just using the port) in all of the libraries,
I can make my own code on the DSP board easily.

now i am using
cell.setCellValue(date);
date is in format of "dd/MM/yyyy"
But when it set on excel , it sets as number.
I need the date as in same format as what i given.

Consult the docs of the API you're using. We can't say much about it because you didn't even mention the API used and it is also not recognizeable as part of any standard Sun Java API's. It might help to consult their own forum/mailinglist -if any- as well.
