Setting up a remote build host in Oracle Solaris Studio 12.3

I'd like to use the remote build host feature of Oracle Solaris Studio 12.3.
I'm running Solaris 11.0 (soon will upgrade to 11.1) everywhere.
The idea is that the remote build host be a NGZ of a server where Oracle Solaris Studio 12.3 has been installed via IPS.
At the other end is a Solaris 11 desktop.
I couldn't find in the documentation enough information to help me understand how to perform this setup.
Does anybody have successfully set up a remote build host?
If so, please, how?
Thanks in advance,
Carlos.

This has been solved by SR where all things were clarified.
The summary of solution I adapted to my needs I have shared on my blog on
http://learnings-on-solaris.blogspot.com/2012/11/c-remote-build-host.html
Regards.

I guess the weblogic.jar is not included in the studio.
    So, i added weblogic.jar (Weblogic 10.3) and wlclient.jar (Weblogic 10.3)
It is working in my simple java code. But, still not working in BPM Studio.

  • Oracle Solaris Studio 12.4

NetBeans 7.2 is announcing Oracle Solaris Studio 12.4. So i would like to know when, what, ... etc.
    Thanks.

OK, I did find "12.4" mentioned in some NB code updates. Apparently that was work intended to support a future Studio release. The person making the updates chose to use an inappropriate designation, one that might not ever apply to any Studio release.
Studio releases are usually preceded by a public pre-release (aka "Beta") program. We welcome Forum members to try out the next pre-release when we announce it here.

    Hi,
we are currently using SunStudio 12. I have noticed that early access product, SunStudio Express, Feb2008. It seems that new features coming from NetBeans 6.0 have contributed to SunStudio IDE. I prefer to use SunStudio Express IDE. But i have also noticed that sun CC compiler version is also different. Actually it is no surprise, since SunStudio is a complete product composed of compilers, tools and IDE.Now, i am quite doubtful whether we should use SunStudioExpress. That's why i want to learn when official new release for SunStudio will be announced.
Though i have searched internet, i couldn't notice any news about the next official release of Sun Studio( Sun Studio 13 ). When will this early release( SunStudio Express, Feb 2008 ) be released as SunStudio13? What is the release roadmap of SunStudio?

Why does it require svn 1.5 ?
As far as i know basic svn commands didn't change between 1.4 and 1.5
Studio 12.1 worked great with svn 1.4

I know you have a more general concern, but here is the answer on SBR.
SBR - beyond Stack Bounds Read
    foo () {
    int a[5] = {0, 1, 2, 3, 4};
int i = a[-100]; // Read is beyond stack frame bounds
Possible causes: Reading a local array past the end or before the start.

C++ 5.7 will not give good results building Boost.
Support for boost began with C++ 5.9 (Sun Studio 12), but you will get better results using the current release, Sun Studio 12 update 1, and better still with the upcoming release, Oracle Solaris Studio 12.2.

  • Pre-built Oracle Solaris 11 VM - Invalid md4 checksum for part04

    Hi,
Following the instructions and links available at:
Pre-built Oracle Solaris 11 Express Developer Virtual Machine with Oracle Solaris Studio and GNU development tools
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/servers-storage-dev/vms11expstudio-howto-401051.html
I downloaded all 4 parts for this VM and the md5 checksums for the first three are fine, however part04 is invalid. I downloaded the part04 file twice with the same results. Judging from the small filesize (only 70MB) it appears to be truncated.
Can someone investigate this part04 file and verify?

I have encountered the same problem.
My workaround was to download the full larger file using a download manager.
    I used DownThemAll for Firefox.

Few days ago I upgraded my home desktop machine from Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1 Professional so I can use the Remote Desktop feature.

Since it's the first time I use this tool I'm not familiar with this log file, but what I managed to figure out from it is that termsrv.dll is corrupted and windows cannot repair it for some reason.
    My question is:
How can I repair this file? Is this even the problem preventing me from connecting to this computer via Remote Desktop?
Here's a link to my original question which contatining the images.
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-system/cannot-use-remote-desktop-host-on-windows-81-pro/e4776239-4d9e-4934-ae2d-b87cc09f7ade

managed to figure out from it is that termsrv.dll is corrupted and windows cannot repair it for some reason.
So, the next step supposedly is
    using  DISM.
Coincidentally I reached that page last night from
this one, which I thought gave me a better awareness of how much manual repair might be possible.  E.g. maybe the WinSxS isn't quite as fragile as we are being led to believe?  (It's making me feel sort of like how I used to feel about the
registry when seeing all the caveats about using RegEdit before I got used to that tool.)
Advanced guidelines for diagnosing and fixing servicing corruption
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee619779(v=WS.10).aspx
Something else that I became aware of yesterday serendipitously is SxStrace.exe.  I have never seen it used but it sounds useful.  E.g. perhaps easier to interpret for supplemental clues than the ProcMon trace that I usually advocate.
Or perhaps use both and see in ProcMon when the SxStrace is writing.   E.g. filter with  Operation Is WriteFile.
However, what I would do first is find out what the state of your system is regarding that module.  E.g. try this Powershell pipeline to list what you have.
    PS C:\windows> dir -R -Fil "termsrv.dll" | sort-object FullName | ft Length, FullName -AutoSize
Note that I am giving you the whole command line, including prompt to show where the command should be started from.
C.f. another thread where doing the same diagnostic procedure seems to be finding more a problem with the Windows Update software than with the user's WinSxS cache.

  • SharePoint remote provider hosted apps - confusion around key questions

For some time, I have been trying to get a provider hosted app setup to work, and I am afraid that I - as a relative novice - must have missed some key points despite hours of googling and reading. Here's my questions:
A remote, provider hosted app, would have its AppWeb in a domain that is different from the host SharePoint Farm in which it is gets installed and used. In other words, the AppWeb may be located at remote.contoso-apps.com, where as the SharePoint farm uses
for instance spslocal.mycorp.com. However, when you - in the SharePoint host farm - set up your App Domain/App isolation - you can only provide one value - which in this case would then need to be remote.contoso-apps.com??? Does that mean that each SharePoint
Farm can only contain Apps from one vendor delivering remote apps? Or is the key in hard coding the app web in the manifest? (However, even if I've tried this it seems like the token SPAppWebUrl still translates into the pattern defined in the App Isolation
    Settings in the host farm???).
Back to the AppWeb: Many bloggers have mentioned that you have to add some kind of SharePoint element to your App project (not the Web Project part) to get the AppWeb provisioned from Visual Studio 2013. But at what stage are these SharePoint elements actually
provisioned - during some kind of publish operation of the Web Project part (the Pages, Scripts etc.) or when you install the app package (hardly the latter, since the first installation may be when a customer installs the app???). The reason I ask is (of
course) that my SharePoint Elements do not seem to get provisioned. And just to test my very basic understanding: the AppWeb can be any pure IIS web site from the start - i.e., not a SharePoint Web App?
Thanks for any help on these challenging issues!

    Paul,
thanks for your effort, but unfortunately the answers do not get me much further.
Question 1: You write "You can only use one domain, because cross-domain IFrame requests are blocked in SharePoint 2013". This is contrary to numerous other articles that explain how the SharePoint cross-domain library (SP.RequestExecutor.js) can be
used to communicate across domains. From the outset, the whole idea about an AppWeb is - according to Microsoft documentation - that the AppWeb should be isolated from the HostWeb and therefore in a separate domain.
    This article,
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/jj612823(v=office.15).aspx, even talks about scenarios where the SharePoint Host Web and App Web are in different security zones!
So according to a load of other documentation it is indeeed a valid scenario I am addressing, but I still miss the key answers to the questions above. I suspect that the key is to hardcode certain URIs in your app that points to the cloud AppWeb
(so the single App Domain specified in the Host Farm is not used at all), but I have failed to find the necessary documentation on this.
Question 2: The article mentioned does not talk about the issues that I have asked about, specifically when the SharePoint elements in the App are created.
Anyone with experience in this area? Thanks!

  • How can I set up a data connection to an Oracle DB

    Hi,
I want to set up a data connection to an Oracle DB.
I know the first step is to go to New data connection, then select OLEDB database and then I need to create a connection string. Well from now on I am lost. What are the next steps I need to take? Does anyone has an example

Your iMac with ARD... this is the bona fide, ($300/$500) "Remote Desktop.app" admin install, or do you mean that you have ARD "Remote Management" access enabled or have tried to control Vista with Microsoft's similarly-named "[Remote Desktop Connection|http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/remote-desktop/default.mspx]" app? (Just making sure—it would be a very different conversation otherwise.)
Remote Desktop does lots of fancy stuff, but for the Observe and Control mechanisms it behaves as a plain-jane VNC client. It can connect to any standards-compliant VNC server. You should, for example, be able to run a different VNC client on your Mac and have a similar success/failure experience; perhaps the excelent [Chicken of the VNC|http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc>. If you have the same failures, we'll still help, but ARD is obviously not the culprit. In any case, the usual suspects for windows VNC servers include UltraVNC, realVNC \[paid ver. required for vista\], and TightVNC. They all have caviats, but they're fairly well documented. Vista itself throws VNC under the bus "in favor of security" but again, you'll find lots of users in the same boat; unable to get the VNC server working on the Vista side. Your statement that you "couldn't even see the machines connected to it to get the IP" was bit confusing though, as devices don't need to be running a VNC server to at least show up in a scan (IP printers should appear, for example). Are you sure they're on the same subnet of the same lan/being otherwise scanned for correctly; or if remote, are you sure the remote Vista laptop is directly addressable with NAT from the web?
Let us know. Good luck. Joel

  • Hosting an oracle application

    Hi all,
    Hope this is rught forum,..
Could any one show some light on what are the minimum requirements to host an oracle application like apex,........like
    Server type
    domain / static IP ...
    Regards/

You need to consider the following questions:
    - what are the documented minimum requirements?
    - how large is the total user-base?
    - what is the normal user concurrency?
    - what is the maximum expected concurrency?
    - how much data will I need to store?
    - what are the year-on-year growth figures?
    - what resilience is required?
    - what system response times are required?
    - what's the SLA (e.g allowable downtime etc.)?
    - what's my budget?
If you answer these questions carefully, then you will arrive at a set of hardware options.
    Cheers,

Try ( alt + cmd + esc ).  Gives you a menu of running applications, and a chance to "Force Quit".
