Setting Up Paypal Website Payments Pro Payment Gateway

Hello,
My customer is using Paypal Standard and the setup was straightforward and easy.
Now we are looking at using Paypal Website Payments Pro Payment Gateway because we want to accept paid Events Bookings.
My two questions:
The instructions to set up the Paypal Payment Gateway look straightforward. After I upgrade my Paypal account, I add the Username, Password, API Signature into my Business Catalyst website. Is that it? Will our shopping cart will continue to function like it has? Or are things more complicated than that? Or will I have to make other changes for the shopping cart system to work?
There is mention of setting up Cardinal Centinel. (We are not using recurring billing). I'm not really sure what the Cardinal Centinel is all about. Is that an important part of the setup of Paypal's Payment Gateway?
I'd like to be prepared before I start down this path.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Tricia

  • HT5552 how do I set up paypal as my accepted payment?

how do I set up paypal as my accepted payment? I have been told thru customer support that it is an acceptable form of payment but they make it very hard to do so.

If you don't see the PayPal button as a payment method, then you're probably not in the US which, to the best of my knowledge, is still the only country where PayPal is an accepted method of payment for the iTunes Store.

  • How can I set up PayPal Sandbox as a Payment Gateway?

I've been having trouble setting up my PayPal Sandbox account as a Payment Gateway in BC.  I thought I was filling in all the required fields correctly, but when I go to check out with an item, PayPal says it has a problem with the merchant's email address. Which email address is it talking about? The user name that I entered in the console? The email address I entered as a "customer"?
I haven't tried my PayPal Website Payments Pro account yet, but I'm guessing it will work.
    Thanks in advance?
    Seth

    Hi Seth,
Try using the live gateway when testing instead.  Also ensure if using Paypal Standard that the email address linked to the gateway is the primary email.  You should be able to locate this details on PayPal's end.

  • Paypal pro - payment method is paypal rather than a credit card. Supported in BC?

Can BC use a paypal account as a payment method rather than a credit card when using paypal payments pro for a us site?  If so does the interface prompt for a paypal userid and password or is this collected in the checkout form?
    Many thanks in advance!

Thank you for the info!  Very much appreciated.

  • Can I open multiple Paypal accounts to accept payments for multiple businesses?

Hello, I plan on setting up two businesses that will use Paypal to accept payments. Can I set up two seperate Paypal accounts to accept payments for my two businesses?

You can have up to 8 bank accounts attached to your paypal account. So if you know how much you have earned per business you can withdraw that amount to one bank account and the rest to a different bank account. Hope that is what you meant. If not will check back later tonight or late tomorrow as got to work tomorrow during the day.     ***************************************** I give up my time to help you so a thank you or kudos would be cool.
Marking one of my replies as a solution would be appreciated if I sorted your problem.

    Dear,
I am SAP consultant in a multinational company.
We want to integrate SAP with Paypal to make payments because most of our vendors only are using paypal account(or are more familiar to use it), and we want to give them a second choice to receive our payments.
We have heard and read something related to XiPAy, that links SAP to Paypal to make payments.
Regarding to Master Data we have clear that we will have to create another field called "Paypal Id" in the vendor Master Data where we will have to write the email account related to the paypal account and select as sensitive in case it changes. As well we will have to control that when a Payment method Paypal (We will customize that) is chosen, "Paypal Id" for the vendor will be mandatory.
The process will be like SAP-PAypal (XiPay)-Vendor Bank. We know that we process a payment in SAP in created a file, that will be XML, which is the format accepted by XiPAy. Do you know if we received a file back to SAP as it has been done successfully?
Our client is doing around 12000 payments/month to the vendors....Any idea about bank reconciliation?
Doe this implementation affects in some way to house banks and payment cockpit? how? what should be taken into account?
    I apologize for the inconvenience.
I look forward to hearing from you very soon.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Yours Sincerely,
    Javier Peris Molina

  • Pay Cycle Manager system check payments with Financial Gateway?

Can PeopleSoft Payables Pay Cycle Manager be used to system check payment information Financial Gateway? Per PBooks "The Pay Cycle Manager only settles payments of EFT, ACH, and WIR payment methods through PeopleSoft Financial Gateway." However, can the process be configured or modified in some way to also accommodate system checks?
The client is not producing system checks from PeopleSoft Payables but, rather, using a 3rd-party application (MHC) to administer system check printing, ACH and credit card payments, and 1099 reporting. The desire to define those system check payments administered via MHC as system checks in PeopleSoft, although truly none are being produced from within PeopleSoft.
By leveraging the Payment Request process payment information is created that can not only be sent to MHC but any target system that also requires payment information. A number of other internal systems also require this information and my intent is to use the data that is staged in Financial Gateway as a standard data structure for any target system which requires the data. However, as mentioned above, the payment information needs to include all payment methods, including system checks.
Please advise. Any recommendations or alternative approaches are appreciated :-)

Did you ever find an answer to your question?
    Thanks

  • How to set a different PLD for checks payment vs. outgoing payments?

    Hi Experts,
Is there a way to configure B1 to use one PLD for checks that originate from the 'Checks for Payment' window/process and another for checks that originate from the 'Outgoing Payments' window/process? I see in our current configuration that they are sharing the same PLD and I would like to change that.
    Thanks!

    Hi Lang,
If they are issued from the same bank, then it would be the same cheque stock that is used for printing which is why they use the same PLD template. Whether the payment is created through Outgoing Payments, Checks for Payment or Payment Wizard, the end result uses the same template if the same bank is used.
If it's issued from different banks, you would select the applicable bank and could have different templates. In this case, the PLD template would be determined under Setup / House Bank Accounts.
    Hope that helps,
    Heather

  • How do I set up PayPal Standard?

I have been through the tutorial and the help files, but, I keep getting an 'invalid vendor account'. I only want to use Standard, but originally set up PayPal PayFlow, which is in the settings. Not sure what to do to clear out PayFlow and just use Standard. I also read where your paypal email username has to match the admin user email in BC, is this true?

    Hi Scott,
Yes the primary PayPal email account must match when configuring your PP Standard details.
You do not need to worry about PayFlow not being cleared out just ensure you have PP Standard details filled.  Then make sure within your check out form use the "PayPal" payment option.  This will trigger a redirect to PayPal for customers to complete their transaction.
If still needing assistance please provide your site so we can check your set-up.
    Kind regards,
    -Sidney

    Hi Karina,
please see the info from SAP Note 725786. The note is currently being updated with the new information relating to system behaviour in version 2007  & should be released again shortly:
In order for the payment wizard and subsequently the payment engine to

    b) Choose the Bank Code, Country and Account Number.
    c) If the business partner bank is a postoffice bank, tick the Post Office box.

    c) If the business partner bank is a postoffice bank, tick the Post Office box.
    d) Update the window.
    3. Define Payment Methods:
    a) Administration -> Setup -> Banking -> Payment Methods.
    b) Enter the Payment Method Code, Description and the Transaction Type.
    c) Select the Payment Type and the Payment Means.
    d) In "File Format" choose the correct plug-in for the transaction (refer to the Payment Engine Online Help for the correct plug-in for the transaction you have defined).
    e) Select your House Bank for this particular payment method.
    f) Select the validation options and remember to tick Post Office Bank, if the bank is a Post Office Bank.
    g) If the outgoing payment is by cheque, restrictions can also be defined here.
    h) Add or update the window.
    4. Set up a Business Partner for the payment wizard:
    a) Business Partner -> Business Partner Master Data.
    b) Under the "Payment Terms" tab, enter the bank country.
    c) Enter the account number and the branch, update to return to Business Partner Master Data.
    d) Under the Tab "Payment system" tab, tick the desired Payment Method to include it in a payment run.
    e) Under the Tab "Payment system", select the house bank that was defined for the desired payment method used for transactions with this business partner.
    f) Update the window.
    5. Generate invoices for this business partner.
    6. Define the standards for the payment run:
    a) Banking -> Payment System -> Define Payment Run Defaults (In 2007 A version the path is: Administration -> Setup -> Banking -> Payment Run Defaults).
    b) Define tolerance days, cash discounts etc as needed.
    c) Define minimum and  maximum payments if necessary.
    d) Tick the box beside "Payment Methods".
    e) Click on the radiobutton beside "Payment Methods" and select the payment method(s) to be executed in this payment run by putting a tick in the tick box.
    f) Update the window.
    7. Open the Payment Wizard (Banking -> Payment System -> Payment Wizard).

    b) Click on "Next" and define the Payment Run Name and the Posting Date, the payment type and the payment means - Step 2.
    c) Click on "Next" and select the business partners to be included in this payment run, make sure that the tick box for the relevant Business Partner Name is ticked - Step 3.
    d) Click on "Next" and define the document parameters - Step 4.
    e) Click on "Next" and select the payment method this payment run is applied to by ticking the box to the left of the payment method code - Step 5.
    f) Click on "Next" and tick the payment number for the business partner to be included, individual invoices can be selected by clicking on the "Expand All" button and either selected or deselected. This also applies to Credit Memos (and to manual Journal ENtries in 2007 A). Click on "Non-included Trans." to identify any troublesome transactions - Step 6.
    g) Select to either "Save the selection criteria", or "Mark as recommended" to process at a later point in time or select to "Execute" immediately - Step 7.
    h) In Step 8, you are given the Payments Run Summary.
    i) If you selected to execute the payment run, in Step 9 the Document and Report Printing options will be displayed. To generate the bankfile and any associated documents relevant to your localisation, click on the radiobutton "Bankfile".
    j) A "Browse for Folder" window will pop up where the destination directory of the output files must be selected. Once a folder was selected and "OK" was clicked, the payment engine will take the data out of Business One and create the defined files.
    k) Once the procedure has completed, an information system message will be displayed: Payment Engine run was successful"
    8. Go to the destination folder and check the logfile and the bank file(s).
    All the best,

  • Payment terms, Payment method, etc. blank in the Invoice Lists header.

    Hello,
I am creating Invoice Lists - LR with F2 - Invoices but surprisingly the payment terms, payment method, VAT registeration no., etc. are not populated into the Invoice Lists header. I think it should have been populated from the 'Payer's' customer master.
I am using 'Copycontrol' routine no. 16; if it is relevant in any way.
Can someone help me with this, cause I need to use these field's data into the printout.
    Thanks,
    Nandish.

    Hi Sreedhar,
BBP_UPLOAD_PAYMENT_TERMS program does not work well.I tried using this and this ask for RFC destination(LOGSYS) while replicating the payment terms.
and when you try to see these payment terms in customzing it does not give you correct result and so result in SRM HTML screens.
    What I did for this.
There are two tables involved in this
    BBP_PAYTERM
    BBP_PAYTERM_TEXT .
If you see entries in table BBP_PAYTERM ,it will have data with ERPCLNTXXX system while same kind of data will not be there for SRMCLNTXXX.
You have to copy ERPCNLTXXX data into SRMCLNTXXX data.
To do that copy all data with SRMCLNTXXX ,go to table Entry in Menu and delete all entries.
Then copy all ERPCLNTXXX data and go to Table Entry ,Create with template.
You can do this is SE11 or SE16 transactions.Do similarly with BBP_PAYTERM_TEXT.Please check entries before doing it for BBP_PAYTERM_TEXT table as this table may have similar entries for SRMCLNTXXX and then you will not require to copy all.
Actaully program recognise only Payment terms in SRM.
Once you have done this..You can see in customzing all correct payment terms replicated.
    SPRO->SRM server->Cross application basic setting->Create payment conditions.
    I hope this helps.
    regards,nishant
    please reward if this helps
