Sharing an email account

I have a client who want to have access to her employees emails.  In outlook it shows as a little blue double arrow.  How do I do this is Windows Server 2003.  Or is it something I set up in Outlook.

Hi,
If a user (User A) wants to view another user's (User B) emails or specific folders in mailbox, this user should be given proper folder permission or mailbox permission for another user.
If UserA needs to view User B's Inbox folder, we can do the following steps to share Inbox folder in Outlook:
1. Open UserB's Outlook.
2. Right-click Inbox folder, click Properties > Permissions.
3. Click Add to select UserA. And set Permission Level to Reviewer or higher permission.
4. Click Apply and OK to finish settings.
Then UserA can open UserB's Inbox folder by clicking File > Open&Export > Other User's Folder. For more information about folder managing, please refer to:
Outlook folder permissions

Manage another person's mail and calendar items
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/manage-another-person-s-mail-and-calendar-items-HA010355561.aspx
Additionally, if UserA wants to directly access UserB's entire mailbox, we need to contact Exchange administrator to give UserA full access permission to UserB's mailbox.
Add-MailboxPermission -Identity UserB -User UserA -AccessRights FullAccess

  • Mac Mail sharing an email account

Is there a way to read an email messages from a certain account so it remains showing as "unread"? My wife and I share an email account apart from our own that I would like to read, but have it remain showing unread so she knows to view it.

If it is an IMAP account, you can mark messages "unread" after you read them.

  • Sharing one "Email account" between two Windows "user account" in a "Global Inbox"

Context: Two "windows user accounts" on a Windows XP PC, having the same email address. The "Local folder" is placed on a "All users" directory and acounts settings specify a POP server with a retention period of 30 days.
Problem: When User B ask for reception of messages, he received all messages already read by user B. (this probably due to separate popstate.dat).
On a previous PC two years ago, we do not had this dupplicate reading.
If you have a solution, could you also cover the Windows 7 case.
    Regards
    Dto75

I strongly suggest you get the whole profile in the same folder hierarchy before you even consider moving to windows 7.
    Windows XP has Program File
Windows 7 has Program Files and Program Files (X86) your executable goes in the x86 one.
    XP has applications data
    Windows 7 has appdata
In windows XP Thunderbird's profile is in application data in windows 7 it is in appdata/roaming
If you open explorer the old locations appear to be there, but they will not work to locate Thunderbird's disparate parts of it's profile
And so the list goes on. Hence none of the locations you know will probably exist under windows 7 so if parts of the profile are pointing to locations that have changed, only grief awaits you.

  • Does it matter if you are sharing one email account with two phone numbers

I am trying to facetime with my wife. We share the same email. but have two different phone numbers. on her end it says she is unavailable for facetime. Any help would be great. Thanks.

The 'extension' cords are all compatible with all of the power bricks for Apple portables (PowerBooks, MacBooks, MacBook Pros, etc.). I also have several from many generations (back to early PowerBooks) and I use them all interchangeably with current adapters (in various rooms at home, at work, etc.).
(As a side note, they are not compatible with the iPod power bricks, but that's not relevant for you.)

  • How do you reset the email account in sharing

I entered the wrong password in my email account when prompted to setup the email account in iphoto sharing.  now each time I try and send a photo, it says it can not access the email account because of the wrong password.

In iPhoto on your mac or on an IOS device?
On your mac open the "Accounts" tab in the "Preferences" and edit the password for your email account.

How do I not sync notes with my email? I have a business email on my iphone as well as my husbands iphone. Now all of my notes are on his phone, and all of his notes he previously has on his iphone are gone. We have never adjusted any settings or hooked it up to itunes, I only added the shared email account to his phone. Help???

    Hi StoneLeadyFarms,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like notes on your devices may have synced when the email account was added, as described here:
    iOS: Syncing Notes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4191
Notes are associated with an IMAP email account or iCloud account. To sync Notes, enable Notes for each account in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars or Settings > iCloud.
You can stop syncing notes by tapping Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars or Settings > iCloud, tapping the email address that you added, and switching Notes to the off position.
Additionally, if your husband has backed up his iPhone to iTunes or iCloud, the steps in this article can help with recovering the lost notes from his device:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

  • Temporarily disabling specific email accounts for phone shared by multiple users

Hi all and thank-you in advance for any potential help!
My company has a Blackberry "Style Flip" 9670 for our sales-people traveling in Northern Canada in the Yukon area.  This phone goes with whoever is going on that particular trip, however it has 5 different email accounts associated with it for the 3 users that share it.
I don't know if this is possible with a Blackberry or not, but we would love if there was an easy way to temporarily disable the email accounts that do not belong to the person carrying the phone at that point in time.
The way it is now, we have User A (2 email accounts), User B (2 email accounts), and User C (1 email account) sharing this phone.  If 'User C' is presently up north and has the phone and sends an email to 'User A' and 'User B', the email is still received on the shared BB for both 'User A' & 'User B' and wastes a lot of precious bandwidth.  The main dilema is the two users with multiple accounts on that phone receive a ton of emails daily.  This means 'User C' may have 1 crucial email waiting to be received, but has to wait for all of 'User A' & 'User B's' emails to be received before getting the important email.
Is there a way without deleting the accounts each time to turn certain email accounts on and off?  Any help is much appreciated!
    Colin

  • Why are my tags not syncing for a shared email account? IE One person tags an email as "Work" but it does not show on other users Thunderbird.

Subject says it all for the most part.
A shared email account we'll call "[email protected]" is not syncing tags across other end users Thunderbird. User A will tag an email as Work but it will not sync/show on anyone else's application. I've read that Thunderbird stores tags locally now? Is there a way to sync them up to our IMAP server? Or would we have to revert to a previous version of Thunderbird (if so which)?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

the issue is probably that the server does not support tags..... Thunderbird stores them locally, but syncs them were the server supports it.

  • How can I take 3 devices off of my email account and give them their own account. We are sharing storage and need to each have our own account.

Everyone in my family has an iPhone or iPad and they are all on one email account. How do I take them off and give them their own accounts so I can have my storage back?

Have them delete the iCloud account (your email address) on their devices then let them create their own iCloud account -> http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4436.  If all of you are syncing contacts and calendars on the same iCloud account, they have to re-organise those stuffs once they have their own iCloud account.  When you delete an iCloud account, it normally asks what would you do for the synced information - keep it on the iOS device or delete.  If they choose to keep the synced information (e.g. Contacts and Calendars), they have to delete those thare aren't theirs or they can start from scratch by deleting the synced information from the iOS device.  Hope this helps.  Cheers!

  • Shared Email Account - Who has replied to what by color?

I work for in an office there is just myself and another girl. We are running into an issue where we both reply to the same email, which is starting to get old. We do not want to split the inbox into different folders. It would just be nice to look at the
messages and if I reads/replies message (A) it would be "Green" if she reads/replies to message (B) it would be "Pink". If it was new "Blue" and if we both looked at it "Grey" I have no idea if it can happen or not,
but willing to take any and all ideas.
We use the same Email on Outlook it is set up as IMAP. I know Outlook has a way for you to Categorize email, but it needs to be set up as POP3.
    Please Help :)

    Hi,
As you are using an IMAP account, please note Category is not supported for IMAP in Outlook, this is by design.
Based on the description, my understanding is that you and the girl share the same email account? If so, there is nothing we can do to let Outlook distinguish who is using the account or mark the item. There is no such method to realize your request
    so far.

  • Want separate i Cloud accounts/storage while sharing one iTunes account

My husband and I want to keep sharing our iTunes account for music, apps, podcasts, etc. But we want separate iCloud storage for notes, contacts, documents & data, Safari bookmarks, and so on. His iPhone and my iPod Touch and iPad mini are signed into his account, including his iCloud. I just set up a separate iCloud account for me on my iPod Touch using a different email address. But I cannot figure out how to sign out of his iCloud and into mine on my iPod and iPad.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Yes that will work, enter the iTunes Store details into itunes on the computer and into settings > Store on your iOS devices in all cases, enter your iCloud Sync ID into system preferences > iCloud on the computer and settings > iCloud on iOS devices as required for each iCloud ID.

  • TS4097 we have multiple users in our family and multiple devices all sharing one itunes account.  i think we are all synced to one icloud account and it is a nightmare....contacts lost, text messags showing up on multiple devises etc.  how do we fix this?

We have our family sharing one itunes account.  we have 3 iphones, 2 macbook airs, 2 ipads and 1 mac.  I am not sure how we even got started on the icloud but somehow we did and everything is a mess.  The ipads are showing the text messages, the contacts are all combined, the apps that my duaghter downloads are appearing on all devices.  how do we fix this so contacts are not shared, messages are not shared and apps are not automatically synced to all devises?

You have two different issues going on.  You are getting each other's messages because you are sharing the Same Apple ID for iMessage.  This can be corrected by going to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive on add the devices and doing one of the following:
Either uncheck the email address shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at" on all of your devices; or
If you want to continue to receive iMessages at this email address on one of your devices, on all of the other ones tap the Apple ID at the top, sign out, then sign back in using a different Apple ID (so all devices will be using a different Apple ID for iMessage).  Note: you can continue to share an Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and App stores.  It does not need to be the same as the ID you are using for iMessage, FaceTime and other services.
The second issue is that you are sharing the same iCloud account on your devices.  When you do this any data you sync with the shared iCloud account such as contacts is merged and will appear on all devices connected to the account.  To fix this you both need to have separate iCloud accounts (you can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores).
First decide which device(s) will be keeping the current iCloud account.  On the one(s) that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else that you want to keep on the device(s), save these to the camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this device, not from iCloud.  The device(s) that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On [iDevice].  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a separate Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.  Repeat this process for all the devices that you need to migrate to new accounts.
When finished, to un-merge the data in your accounts you will have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting the other person's contacts from your account, and vice versa).

  • I am having a problem with email on my iPhone - email accounts disappear.

I have several email accounts linked to my phone - some exchange, others hosted by Gmail.  Occassionally, some of the Gmail linked accounts will disappear from the list of email accounts in my mail app.  When this happens, I will cycle the phone off and then back on (turning the phone all the way off, not just locking the phone), and the email accoutns will reappear in the mail app.
Does anyone know why this is happening?  Does anyone know what I can do to correct this?

turn off home sharing on apple tv, then turn it on again, entering new credentials. Apple-TV works very reliably with home sharing unlike iDevices which don't
