Shipping to Guam for Warranty Repair

Hi there,
I bought a laptop for my son for Christmas 2013, an HP 2000 Notebook PC, and the hard drive failed and does not start up. I am trying to get it sent for warranty repair through their support chat and apparently, they won't receive or mail to Guam because their system does not accept Guam zip code. Is anyone else having this issue?
Mers

No they do not. Sometimes the independent stores have loaners but maybe you have friends or family with a backup Vzw phone? Could add a line and return in wfg period but restocking fee and time used.

  • What do I need to do when sending my iPad in for warranty repair?

What do I need to do when sending my iPad in for warranty repair? I live too far away from an apple store so they told me to send it in using UPS but that's about all they told me. I have looked on the website but have found no additional information. What all do I need to do besides backing it up and what all do I need to send? Thanks in advance.

  • How do I contact hp for warranty repairs

I need to contact HP for repairs.  My Officejet is under warranty.  I am in Charlotte, NC.  The website says there are no service centers within 100 miles of me.  How do I contact HP?  Is there a phone number or email?  Every time I try the contact us on the support website it just throws me into an endless loop.

  • Sent U510 in for warranty repair (HDD Failure) and am told the HDD was replaced, but it was not.

I told them that I ran a diagnostic and the HD shows as failed.  I ran several tests and it's booting up slow, crashing, freezing, etc.    Seemed to be a pretty clear situation.  I would fix it myself but money is tight and I don't want to void my warranty by doing so.  I called up and explained this.
So I sent it in over a month ago and patiently await information.  The Depot Status page showed me that they have determined the failing part and were waiting for the part to become in stock.  I thought this was odd, because hard drives should be a dime a dozen in a repair facility.  Still... I waited patiently.
Finally, my laptop comes back to me on Monday the 19th!  I open it up and the invoice inside says that a SSD drive was replaced... My main drive was not replaced but the 24GB SSD allegedly was.  I had some things installed onto the SSD, so I turned it on to take a look.  None of my data is gone.  The system looks/works JUST as it did when I sent it out!  It's still slow, the HD still fails the tests, and all my data is there as if NOTHING was done at all!
Now I'm livid.  I sent it out and waited nearly a month for this and it looks as if NOTHING has been done.  Worse than that, the invoice claims that a drive was replaced when it's clear that's a lie.  I'm completely beside myself now.  What do I do?  Who on Earth do I contact to get this taken care of in a timely manner!

Control-click on the background of the view all pages window and select "Preview Calendar" from the contextual menu.
You can also save the pdf as a file to compare to the printed calendar.  If the two names are visible in the pdf file then the printed copy should show them.  Contact Apple for a refund.  Apple Print Products - Apple Store (U.S.)

  • Preparing for warranty repairs

I will turn in my iMac so its headphone jack can be fixed. What do I do to the computer since I will be giving it to strangers? Do I completely erase EVERYTHING? What are the chances they will erase the drive and install OSX again for such a little problem?

Make sure all your important files/docs are backed up. Anything you don't want a stranger to see you should take off the iMac or put it inside an encrypted disk image. That's what I do when I send my computers in for repair.

  • Where do I go for warranty repairs?

I purchased a BB 8800 two weeks ago and it has a faulty convenience button (stopped responding after a few days) and trackball (was rough at time of delivery). Did not purchase from a carrier and so my carrier is unable to help.

Purchased on-line from DealsDirect so maybe no warranty? I thought the warranty would be serviced by BB.

  • Out-of-Warranty Repair Shipping

    Hi all,
A friend of mine has recently sent away an iPad for an out-of-warranty repair, though in the process neither Apple or Australia Post have a record of the whereabouts of the iPad. I would just like to establish who is reponsible for the whereabouts of the product once it has been surrendered to Australia Post, especially given it was prepaid post item (Apple pays, though is paid through their online system) and there was no option to include extra cover.
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Living in the US and not knowing Australian law, I would guess the responsibility is the Post, unless they delivered the item to Apple and they lost it.  In the US the USPS is responsible until delivery takes place.  But there is always the caveate to insure and register the item so the sender has records of its shipping...not sure if you have that capability in Aus.

  • IPad 2 Warranty Repair - Changing Shipping Option

I recently initiated a repair for my iPad 2 and I thought the "UPS drop-off" option would allow me to print a shipping label here at my home but apparently that's not the case. The problem is that I don't live near a UPS drop-off store. Is there anyway I can change the repair option to have Apple send me the box and label combo in the mail? ....Or do I have to wait 10 business days for the repair request to expire and open a new one? I work and sleep during the day so I also can't really call Apple support to sort this out unless that's a last resort. Thanks for the help though I appreciate it!

First, I think you should go back to Best Buy and argue your point and go as high as you can to deal with upper level management because you think you were duped into buying it there because of the one time fix. Also, take up your issue at an Apple store, again, only dealing with management. If neither works and you have to pay, consider this.
If you repair your ipad through Apple it can cost as much as $299.00. Gazelle.com will give you $60.00 cash for it and they pay shipping. Prices can go down, so if you decide to do it, act fast. Not all online trade-in companies take broken ipads. Google it and see if other companies will take in and/or pay you more.
Then consider the Apple online refurb store. A refurbished ipad 2 16gb is $319.00 - then subtract the $60.00 from Gazelle and you'll pay $259.00, probably less than Apple's charge to fix it. A 32gb is $399 minus the $60.00 from Gazelle and you'll pay $339.00, etc.
A refurbished ipad 4 retina 16gb is $379.00 - $80.00 more than a fix minus the $60.00 you'll get if you sell it as is. So for the cost of the repair and trade-in for $60.00, you can get an ipad 4 retina 16gb for $319.00. A 32gb is $449.00. If you subtract the cost of a $299.00 repair, the additional cost to you becomes $150.00 Subtract the $60.00 from your trade-in, and you'll pay an additional $90.00 for a retina 32gb.
Refurbished ipads come with new front and back covers, a brand new battery, and a full one year warranty. They come in the white box with the cable. Shipping is free. iPads come adn go on the site, so when you see what you want, you should buy it then. We have 2 refurbed ipads and they have been great.
    Hope this helps.

  • Non-US Warranty Repair for E61

I have an E61 phone which needs warranty repair. The phone hangs on the initial Nokia screen. Nokia in the US tells me that the phone can't be repaired in US and suggested I call Europe for suggestions. The phone is only 6 weeks old and was purchased in the US. The E61 intended to be sold in Sweden. Has anyone had a similiar experience and how was it resolved?

That is correct, the warranty is only valid in Europe on European models.
You could try contacting any care point in Europe and ask if they offer a postal returns service. Obviously all shipping costs will be yours to pay.
You will probably have more luck with UK based care points.
Have you tried the following to get it to work?
Boot without memory and sim card in.
Hard reset (note: all data will be lost from phone memory):
    1. Switch off the phone.
    2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
    3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
    4. Release when the phone shows the nokia logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.

  • I've send my Macbook Air for a warranty repair and it came back repaired BUT with new problems -.-

    Good evening everyone...
First off I wanted to say that I'm ****** off and even more frustrated by my MacBook Air, god dammit this machine was expensive and now all I get are problems.
But enough of that, let me get to the point already.
So I made a topic in "Apple Support Communities" about a week ago ? Maybe two - bascially it was about my MacBook Air having this "kernel_task_" problem.
After that I sent this Mac for a warranty repair, of course they have replaced the Logic Board and claimed that it has been repaired - fine, that's amazing right ?
    Well, NO.
So I was happy to finally get to use a computer at home (Not to mention that I need a computer at home to do any kind of studying or anything at all) and when I booted it up everything seemed to be fine - fantastic even !.
After launching it I updated my software (05/03/2013, Firmware Update 1.8, Java for OSX 1.0 and iTunes) and started to use it as normal, I was browsing the internet when my Mac turned off just like that while being plugged in into the charger.
I thought to myself - well, bad luck I guess.
I've turned it on again, it went fine for about 30-60 minutes then I turned it off without any problems
    RANDOM SHUTDOWN COUNT : 2
After some time I plugged in my power adapter into it and guess what ? It turned on the MacBook by itself without me pressing the power button.
    What the ****
So, basically what happens now is :
    1. My MacBook Air randomly Shuts down
    2. My MacBook Air turns on every time I plug my charger into it while being completely turned off
    Any ideas -.- ?

Well, it turned off randomly again and I had some problems turning it on.
That was my first and last Apple computer I have ever bought, call it bad luck but I am dissapointed right now because I would expect a better quality product for that price.
Seems like I will have to build a PC workstation then, at least that will be more reliable.
    Thanks for the "help" though

  • Need advice for escalating warranty repair

    hi all,
around easter I noticed my daughters 2007 C2D macbook(white) developing hairline cracks in the backcase near three stress points, near the tabs on both sides that hold it off the topcase and in the middle from constant opening of the machine. the local genius said applecare would cover it but she needed it for school so I delayed sending it in. My Bad. She comes home with a chip in the topcase and about 12-14 dead pixels in the display. Sent it off for repair and Apple said the screen showed signs of abuse( not completely out of the question) due to one section that seems to have been "bruised" and is leaking. Unless she or a spurned lover took an icepick to the screen I don't see how she caused over a dozen pixels scattered all over the display to fail but I am not an engineer. The problem is they will not perform the case repair unless I agree to the $800 LCD replacement. The reason being they can't perform a partial repair. The way I heard it is until I replace the LCD at my expense apple in unable to do any warranty repairs and i have 14 Months of Applecare left. My local apple store is closed for renovations or I would go there where they recognize me for advice. Powerbook Medic quotes $250 for screen replacement. should I do that and then resubmit the machine to Apple for case repair? Is there a Phone number for customer service other than tech support I could try to escalate this case with? The only one I see is the Apple Store CS for orders and such. Anyone have any thoughts or recommendations?
    Thanks,
    Frank

Is there a Phone number for customer service other than tech support
You call the support line and asked to be transferred to customer relations.
