Should i have a nested cfloop?

Have a problem.
Earlier in my page I have a cfloop tag using from & to,
and then have some queries, & then a cffile append for my
results to be entered, then with a final ending for cfloop. All is
fine there because a query used already was inside a cfloop, thus
would output my data in an array. But Later in the page I have a
cfmail because I want it all emailed to me as well.
My cfmail is this...
<cfmail to="#myemail#" from="#form.email#" subject="Added
to Cart" type="html">
<table>
<cfloop index="loopcount" from="1"
to="#ArrayLen(session.cart)#">
<tr BGCOLOR=#IIF(loopcount MOD 2, DE ('E2E2E2'), DE
('F0F0F0'))#>
<td>Artist: #cds.Agroup#<br>
CD:#session.cart[loopcount][5]#<br>#session.cart[loopcount][1]#</td>
</tr>
</cfloop>
</table>
</cfmail>
Now, my problem...
The cds.Agroup lists the same value in all entries when it
should be different values.
Since the query of cds is not inside this loop, it's not
"really looping". Should I do a cfloop within this cfloop?
I can't have list= in this loop because it's using from &
to already. I don't want to populate the query again since it's
already been done once on the page.
What is the best practice for this type of situation?

I've done a cfloop query & then the other cfloop to do a
nested loop that way, & it didn't make a difference.
I was thinking of maybe it reading the query data from a list
to loop thru with the others.
I have the dynamic array for the cart plus the query from the
db to know who(Agroup) goes to what on the cart listings.

  • How Many Application Module should I have ?

    Hi All,
Could you please share your experience...
I am developing a ADF Faces + BC application, how can I determine how many application module should I have ?
    I have modules , i.e :
    Sales
    AR
    Inventory
    Purchasing
    GL
Can I say that I should have 5 application modules ? ( one for each module ? )
    Thank you for your info,
    xtanto

Its difficult to know if 80 is too much or jus right...The danger is that if you have many application modules, and for example a particular UI page requires you to manipluate data in many application modules then this has potential to be "overkill"...each AM requires a check out from the AM pool and database connection etc. etc. etc.
If you need to manipulate many app modules on a single UI page if you were to nest these application modules then this might be more reaslistic...However, if a couple of UI pages requires manipulation of only one app module this sounds reasonable...
I dont know if that really helps you
So if on pages A, B and C you maintain Sales Order (which is one app module) then thats ok.
If in pages X, Y and Z you manipulate Quotation (which is one app module) that would be ok as well.
If the use case is that in page F, G and H you maintain Sales and on page J you maintain Quotation then you might want to nest one inside the other.
If your use case is on screen K, L M, N, O, P and Q you access 4-5 different app modules then that would raise a concern with me...
Again, don't know if that helps,,,
One way of lookin at this is to create your VOs based on the way you want in the information to appear on your pages and from those pages think about the "uses case" and create your app modules based on those use cases...
    Does that help?

  • I recently bought an ipad 2 and wanted to use all the apps on my iphone4 on my ipad but have been charged when I use my apple id. What should I have done to share the apps?

I recently bought an ipad 2 and wanted to use all the apps on my iphone4 on my ipad but have been charged for the first app I downloaded when I use the same apple id. What should I have done to share the apps and should I have been charged? 2 months ago when I got a new iphone, i was told in order to get all my apps back as I hadn't backed up my files, if I used the same apple id I would 'purchase' the app, but then would not be charged as apple would recognise that I have already purchased the app. That worked, but when I did the same thing on my ipad 2 using the same apple Id, I was charged... what should I have done and is this right as I thought the whole point of having multiple apple devices was I could share apps between devices. please help! thanks.

Using the same Apple id and Password you should be able to download purchased apps without being charged again.
I download to an iPad/iPad2/iPhone3 & iPhone4 with no problem.

You can sync as many devices as you want to the same iTunes account, there is no limit. You can have the same content on each device or different content, the choice is yours. iTunes will keep everything straight, by device, including separate backups. I'd suggest giving each device a unique name, to make things easier.

Definitlely have it looked at. That could be a hardware deffect on the maker(apple) so there could be a definite replacement option.

Can you start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] ?
You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

  • Hard drive failed! Should I have to pay?

I have a MacBook Pro (late 2011) it is now march 2013 and hard drive has failed, should I have to pay for this? Although warranty has ran out I payed a lot of money for a machine that breaks just over a year that's going to cost £180 for a new one. Plus I had the screen replaced in December 2012 but luckily it was still under warranty, any suggestions on what I can say to them?

Ok thanks I pretty much knew I might get this answer, so is there anything I can do so it doesn't happen again? Or at least for some time? I kept it on pretty much all the time for a few months could of this overcharged it?
The reason I had screen replaced was because apple said it was getting confused wether it was asleep and turned off and for this reason the screen just went fuzzy and didn't work, so that's why I have kept it on to try and prevent that from happening again.
That screen problem was strange. Respecting to the hard drive failure, it could be caused without any problem just by using it a lot, but if you kept your Mac in sleep mode, the hard drive isn't used. For example, most of the MacBook users leave their Macs in sleep mode instead of turning them off. Furthermore, Apple recommends to put the Mac in sleep mode

  • Does it create a problem if I only connect the backup external drive every few days for use with Time Machine?  Should I have purchased Time Capsule instead?

After a near miss with my 4-year old MacBook, I finally wised up and purchased a WD My Passport for Mac to back up my hard drive. I connected the Passport today and have performed the first full backup.  However, I do not wish to keep it permanently connected to the laptop.  Does this create a problem if I only connect the drive every few days?  Should I have purchased Time Capsule instead?

    Hello,
I don't think it'll cause a problem, but I'd disable/turn off Time Machine before disconnecting, then turn it back on after you connect it again.

  • How big of a root partition should I have?

I am new to Archlinux and Linux in general. I recently installed my first Arch system but I have not yet installed a desktop environment for I am trying to learn the command line.  I was planning on using this weekend to set up a desktop environment but I cannot decide which one to use, so I will try them all (or at least Gnome and Xfce).  My question is how big of a root partition should I have to give me ample space to play around including having more than one desktop environment installed at once.  I currently have a 20 GB hard drive with my root partition set to 4 GB.
    Thank You

  • What all necessary action should i have to take before selling my iphone 3gs?

What all are the necessary steps should i have to take before selling my iphone 3gs??

Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content & Settings. You can leave the sim card in the phone if you like(assuming it's deactivated), as the iPhone stores no data on the sim card. Hackers(potential buyers) like purchasing a locked phone with the sim still installed. Makes it easier to hack the phone.

  • Macbook Pro with retina 13-inch - should I have gone for the 15?

Hi I recently bought a 13-inch Macbook pro with retina display. I am delighted with it. My main usage is
1.Word processing - this is what I basically use it for (translating, text editing, heavy email)
    2. Examining photos to see if they are suitable for publication - don't need any special software
    3. Browsing the web (a lot!)
    4. Plan to learn In Design (software) so I can help out my colleagues. (Nothing too intensive, maybe 3-4 pages a month).
    5. Watching movies and listening to music while on the go (or even at home)
    6. Using Parallel for Windows 7 (3-4 applications only)
I heard that the 15-inch one is more powerful. Did I make a good choice or should I have bought the 15-inch one. It seemed a bit heavy for me at the time I saw it but  no-one told me it was so much more powerful. I have the basic late 2012 model with 128GB SSD but also have a light 1TB hard drive and superdrive.
Please reassure me that I have not made the wrong decision but if you think I have, then tell me. I am a first-time Mac user, and coming from a Vaio X (which recently died) the power of this thing seems awesome!!

That MacBook Pro is perfect for you, and I don't think that you need a 15-inch MacBook Pro, even if it's more powerful than the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. There are some important differences between the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display and the 15-inch MacBook Pro, like the graphic card or the processor, but if that MacBook works properly, continue using it

  • When I am finished editing an image in Lightroom, what files or versions should I have in my database of images?

When I am finished editing an image in Lightroom, what files should I have in my Library?  I start with a RAW file or a tiff scan from film. I label that "A" as the archived file. I make a virtual copy to work on in the Develop module. When I am done, I save a file as a Print file with dimensions of the print.  Since Lightroom is non-destructive, do I need to save any other versions?  For instance, in Photoshop since the crop is destructive,
I edit an uncropped version and do the crop when I am working on the Print version.  What should I have for the most flexibility over time in Lightroom?
I use Lightroom CC on a IMAC desktop.  My photos are on a separate hard drive and are also backed up offline.  Im running OSX10.9.4.

You don't need to make a virtual copy before you edit the photo (this is optional, but most people don't bother as its extra work with little or no benefit). EXCEPTION: If you are doing multiple crops of the image, you would need virtual copies in that case, created after all other editing is completed.
You can't "save" from Lightroom, you can "export". (It's a terminology thing) You would need to export a photo at the desired dimensions for printing, but there's no need to retain this exported photo, you can consider it temporary and delete it once the print has been made, knowing that you can always re-create it exactly from Lightroom if you need it.
So to answer the question in your title, all you need to retain on your hard disk is your original image (and in the EXCEPTION case where you have multiple crops of the image, you would retain the multiple virtual copies in Lightroom).

    Hi, back again,
Sorry for not responding to the previous remarks.
Here is the case: I bought a license in the university shop, (surfspot.nl) with code.
In the past I was able to work with an installed version, but on my new computer I tried to reinstall without success. Luckily I was helped with the trial period, so that is why I didn't bother to get back to the reactions ( impolite indeed  - sorry)
I have bought the Adobe CS6 Master Collection Combi Windows.
When I try to register the product under my (current) ADOBE id, it shows me the ancient Photoshop Elements product I registered way back in 2009, but when I try to add the CS6 Master Collection it shows that the product is already registered.
Did I register with a different email address?? I cannot think of one ( i tried a couple)
    Any help would be welcome.

  • Should Arch have a common input method ?

Should Arch have a common input method ?
Arch is a really great distro,so I think there are a lots of arch users all over the world.
And I believe that more and more people will know Arch, use Arch,Love to use Arch
But I am curious about that : everyone use english only? Just input English only?
For me I need a input method to input Chinese in gedit,gnome-terminal,openoffice and so on.
I guess some users( in particular for non-English users) also need it for their own language.
So I eager hope Arch will  official have common method support.
And SCIM is a good choice--Smart Common Input Method.
    Old Homepage    http://www.freedesktop.org/Software/scim
    New homepage  http://www.scim-im.org/
    And http://sourceforge.net/projects/scim/
SCIM is the defaults Chinene input moethod in SUSE Mandriva(formerly mandrake),and included in Fedoa's Repo.
Tt also is the defauls input moethod for CJK(Chinese/Korea/Japanese) users,SCIM  supports a large
number of input methods in a bunch of languages, and trying to enumerate all the input method
    engines and their corresponding languages.
scim- scim is the core package, which provides the fundamental routines and data types
skim - An input method based on SCIM library and KDE/QT.
          scim-{anthy,canna,prime,skk,wnn} -  IMEngines for Japanese
scim-chewing - IMEngine for  Tranditional Chinese
scim-pinyin- Currently contains a Smart Pinyin IMEngine for Simplified Chinese.
scim-fcitx - fcitx ported to scim for Chinese
scim-tables - Contains many table based input methods.
scim-uim - A wrapper to use uim as an IMEngine of SCIM.
scim-m17n - A wrapper to use m17n library as an IMEngine of SCIM.
          scim-qtimm - Qt-immodule support for scim.
scim-hangul - A Hangul !IMEngine which is ported from imhangul project.
scim-input-pad - scim-input-pad is an OnScreen input pad for SCIM used to input some symbols very easily

cactus wrote:@dibble: in fact, I would. Then i would set out to make the packages myself so I could use them, or try to form a group of like minded individuals to create a language specific port.
i don't want to start a massive fight about this cactus because you know I respect your views but i wonder how a group of people that require internationalization support can collaborate on a project without a common language?
We can already see that miracle is doing his best to get his point across with varying sucess, i can't imagine trying to achieve many harder things in the internet environment, never mind establishing a project.  Of course this is well within the users power but i really think that in this instance non-enlgish speaking users would greatly benefit from the support of experience Arch Users who have english as first langauge.
miracle - if the PKGs are in the AUR you need to contact other arch users, possibly on the other languages forums, and tell them to vote for the scim pkgs

  • Should I have waited for the thunderbolt imac?

This year, a few weeks before the 2011 imac came out I bought a new imac 2010. I loved using my new imac compared to old macintoshes. (imac g3 mouse night mare). I then heard that a few weeks after the purchase of my new imac that a new imac came out-with thunderbolt.
As a video editor for my show I was wondering if thunderbolt is important. Do I absolutely need to have thunderbolt? Will every device require thunderbolt?
As you can't modify or add internal hardware to an imac, I'm wondering if should I will regret my decision to buy a new imac just before a new version came out. But then again, I feel like everytime I buy something from my favourite IT company Apple is great when you first use it, but feels like an expensive paperweight when a new apple product comes out. (think apple ipods). So, should I have waited?

At least for now there are no Thunderbolt peripherals available. And the first ones that will come will most likely cost more then any USB/FireWire variant they have now.
So Thunderbolt will become (hopefully) more important in about 1/2 years from now. Unless you want to be one of the firsts and prepared to the premium price.
For instance Lacie announced a Thunderbolt diskdrive. But to make sure that the disk can also write/read at the massive speeds that Thunderbolt is promising, they realized that this disk must be SSD. Of course an SSD disk is not bad at all, but it still very expensive.
