  • Should I update to iOS 7.0.4?

Hey Everyone, I'm getting 2 iPhone 5S soon, and I was wondering if updating to iOS 7.0.4 will make my the devices unstable or run into some issues, So I think I need some advices and help regarding my inquary.
Should I update to iOS 7.0.4 or wait until iOS 7.0.5 or iOS 7.1 be released?
I hope to hear some helpful answers from you guys, thank in advance.

    Hi yami.samurai,
I don't think you have a choice about running iOS 7 if you are getting a new iPhone 5s.....
Not sure what it is you are wanting to know? The updates from 7.0 to 7.0.4 were implemented to improve the performance of iOS 7.
Can you provide some additional context for your question?
    Cheers,

  • Should I update from IOS 6.0?

I have an iPad Mini (WiFi only version) still running IOS 6.0 with no problems.  Should I update to 6.1.3?  I must admit that reports of problems after each update has me hesitant to do so.
    Advice is greatly appreciated.

I have 6.1.3 on my iPad mini wi-fi only and have no problems.

how many people are going to report that the device and ios are working like they should?  Very few, if any at all.  People only write when they have a problem.

  • Should I update from ios 7.0.3 to ios 7.1.1?

I have a new iPod touch 5th gen I it has ios 7.0.3. I got this one to replace the last one that ios 7.1 update broke. My question is should I update to 7.1.1? I had 3 iPods die because of ios 7.1.

Well I would agree with you but this is my fourth ipod since ios 7.1 came out. I had a discussion going about the whole thing about a month ago. I would update to ios 7.1 and get halfway through (about the 25 - 30 g spot) installing my apps again and it would constantly reset. I tried restoring, downloading apps through iTunes and just on my ipod. I had tried different apps. I also tried restoring from back up. Everything I tried ended with my iPods continually resetting and that's all. I had reinstalled iTunes too.
So you see why I'm very hesitant to try. Do you know of any problems people have had with the ipod resetting itself over and over again with the ios 7.1.1 update?

  • Should I update to iOS 7.1.1?

    Hi, everyone!
This is my first time in the forums, and I need some advice.
I have an iPhone 4 16GB, currently running iOS 6.1.2. I constantly have pop-ups saying that I should update to iOS 7.1.1, and the Settings app notification won't go away. I would really love to go iOS 7.1.1, but my question is: will it run well on the iPhone 4?
In the terms of 'run well', I mean: will apps be quicker on opening? This is the thing I'm afraid of, as I don't want to update and be unhappy about the results of apps opening slower. My iPhone 4 opens apps quite slow now, and its on iOS 6.1.2. Will it be faster/better?
    Thanks for reading my question!
    Have a great day!

I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 7.1.1 and am pleased with its performance.  Of course, you will also read others who are not...that is the nature of operating systems.  Keep in mind that iOS 7.1.1 has significant security updates in it that are important for your iPhone.
The biggest complaint is probably over the look and feel of the graphics, so look at all of the screen images on the Apple site...be informed and sure of the interface before downloading.  Once you upgrade you cannot go back...the iOS 6 files have been removed from the servers so you cannot revert to iOS 6 if you decide you do not like iOS 7.1.1.

  • Should I update to iOS 4.3?

I am very wary of bugs for my ipod touch 4th gen 8gig so I am wondering is there any major bugs I should now about? Even if you could tell me the minor ones. Thanks!

I've owned ipods for more than 5 years. Trust me when I say you should wait for the next release--instead of 4.3, wait for 4.3.1 or whatever they will name the update. Versions with just one decimal place (from Apple) are too problematic for my taste. Wait for 2 decimal places.
To prove my point, here is an example of update weirdness -- http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2777224&tstart=0

  • Should I update to ios 6?

I updated my iPhone, and I really miss the old YouTube app. I don't want to regret it again. But I just got iPhoto and iMovie but they need iOS 6. iPad users, is it worth it, the YouTube app is pretty sweet.

You are asking a loaded question.
I am thrilled with iOS 6. But I am not a Google Maps or YouTube fanatic.
You have to make the choice yourself, what is more important to you - the use of iPhoto and iMovie on the iPad - or YouTube. Only you know what is most important to you.

If your world revolves around YouTube ... I think that you have answered your own question already.

  • Should I update to ios 5.0.1?

Lots of people seem to have problems, but has anybody been successful?

    Good for you!
My iPhone 4 still on 50% battery life early afternoon. Never made any major calls. But after 4 hours and without any warning, it just turned off and showed totally drain. It never give any warning at all (20% battery warning, 10%, etc..). I thought they fixed the correct bugs on the software. But it seems that the bugs became a SUPER BUG. It's getting worse. I never had any problem before when it was still on its old 4.XX version. But when the 5.0 came in, that's where it started to behave like crazy.

  • Shoud I Update To iOS 7.0.4 on iPhone 4??

It's been a time sincce iOS 7.0.4 has come up and many of my friends have experienced many glitches with it, but somehow someone told me that it is OK now... So i want to ask should I update to iOS 7.0.4 on my iPhone 4 or not?
    Plzzz help...

Some user's (a minority) have reported issues with iPhone 4s. However, I do know several users (including my son) who have absolutely no complaints with iOS 7 on a 4. I am not experiencing any issues on any of my devices.
As for liking or not liking the new design approach, I like it. Some do not. I suppose it is a personal preference, but the fact remains that supports for many apps for older version will be fading over time.

  • HT4623 Update software ios 3.2 iPad

Can I update the operating system on my first generation ipad

The Settings > General > Software Update option only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, as you have iOS 4 then you will need to do the update via your computer's iTunes.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases if you are on iTunes 11). You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button
    Updating to iOS 5+ : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4972
Your iPad should be updated to iOS 6.0.1 (which is the only version that is 'signed' by Apple), so you will lose the built-in YouTube app and the Maps app will change.
