Show build status window programmatically

Is there a way to show the build status window progress bar when the application builder is started programmatically via the BuildTargetBuildSpecification.vi? Since it takes quite some time to create a build for our applications (> 1 h) it would be nice to see how much time it is left when a build is started.
I've seen the question posted before about this (http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=204846&query.id=1234930#M204846), but that was some years ago... There are quite many vi's in the AppBuilder directory but most of them are undocumented and not that easy to guess how to use.

Apogee Dither in Logic 9: Should there be a status window that says "Dithering" and a progress bar like in Logic 8?

When I used Logic 8 there was a status window post bounce for the application of dithering from 24 to 16 bit. In Logic 9 there is not a status window: After the bounce it's done processing audio. I'm using the Apogee dither. Is this a change, i.e. can the dither be applied real-time or something else that I haven't considered, or is this an error? I've bounced a bunch of audio since I downloaded Logic 9 on a clean box, and it never shows a status window for the dither. I enjoy using a dither because I can hear a difference in quality in how the dither preserves some data from the 24 bit spectrum, instead of truncating ("removing," or "leaving out") the 24 bit data (I believe that it's the lower 8 bits that are truncated, if no dither is applied). I'd appreciate anyone who knows leaving a reply, because I'd hate to release audio and find out later that the quality bits were left out. Thanks!

This seems to be integrated into the bounce process. Try it out with a sine wave @ -80 dB or lower.

Bug? Build Status Explore button does nothing

LabView 2011 Service Pack 1 Version 11.0.0f1 (32-bit)
After building an application the "Explore" button in the build status window no longer works.
This button should open the directory that is shown in the build status window.

When you say "no longer works", does it mean it worked for you before?
When did ot stop working? (After ugrading to SP1, or after patching to F1, or some other random time?).
Could it be that the folder is already open?

Can I stop Time Machine from showing the little status window?

I have Time Machine backing up successfully to an attached USB drive. I've only had it for a couple of days, but I noticed it started popping up a small "status" window whenever it's backing up. It's the same style window you get when you're downloading something. Is there an option so that doesn't pop up when TM is active? The icon on the top is enough notification for me. This one is kind of annoying!

If it's really doing a full backup each time, something is clearly wrong. If in doubt, Click here to download the +Time Machine Buddy+ widget. It shows the messages from your logs for one TM backup run at a time, in a small window. Navigate to the most recent backup that showed the window, then copy and post all the messages for that run here.
Also tell us how much data is on your system (the +Estimated size of full backup+ under the exclusions box in TM Preferences > Options), how large your TM drive is, and how much data is on it (via +Get Info+ on the drive).

As I type this it's doing another backup, but no progress bar, and it's only 18.9 MB
Anyway thanks for the tip on the TM Buddy. Here is the log from the last big one it did from when I posted the question...looks like there are a bunch of errors! FYI in the logs below "Time Capsule" is what I called the USB drive partition. It's not "the" Apple Time Capsule.

I have challaged for deployment of microsoft critical patches to client machine with the help of sccm. I have been done all configuration formalities, although previous months has been deployed successfully with any difficulties.
But This month have some issue is being running, once i was deploying the packages of microsoft critical update but members of collection is showing unknow client tab which comes in monitoring--> deployments status windows. until deadline

Keynote 6.2.2 "Build Order" window doesn't show

Recently, my Keynote started to not show the Build Order window.
When I click on the "Build Order" button under Animations, nothing happens. Tried clicking it from the Menu (View>Show Build Order), Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Keynote but it doesn't help.
I'm frustrated as I converted my whole powerpoint presentation to Keynote and now this issue started happening suddenly!!!!
I have my defense in 3 days and don't want the risk of updating Mac OSX. Someone please help.

Hi Gary,
The sample presentation shows two shapes with effects. When I play it, the animations works in that order.
What is actually broken is the Build Order button.
I can change order with the "Order" Dropdown on this screen but I can't set things like appear on click, appear with etc, which is what that window allows.
Also, how do you suggest I replace keynote? I deleted it from "Applications" folder and reinstalled it from App Store. 6.2.2 is the only keynote version I have.

Determine Deployment Status / Progress Programmatically

My goal is to programmatically deploy a vi to a compactRIO target as well as reboot the controller. While I have been experimenting with using the Library.DeployLibrary method call, I would also like to show the user the status of the deployment (similar to the Deployment Status window that appears when one deploys a library from within the Project Explorer - showing a status indicator and what files are being uploaded). I seem to be having issues with trying to deploy a library containing only a vi but that may be the subject of another post on this board.
I am using LabVIEW 8.01 and Windows XP Pro.
Can anyone point me in the direction of being able to show this status programmatically or if it is even possible?

Most likely what is happening here is that you are terminating the program on teh cRIO itself (wither by ending the main control loop or calling quit labview, etc). 1) By resetting the vi, I am thinking there are two ways - one is actually hitting the "Reset" button on the box (something I dont want to do), the other is actually Rebooting my cRIO (which I am succesful at doing, however, I dont have feedback on whether or not the box is actually done rebooting. I guess I can hit the Reboot, then go into a loop that Pings the controller and either times out or gets a valid IP address. Is there another way to do this reset?

Page Count Missing From Print Job Status Window

When I print a multi-page document from TextEdit or AppleWorks, the Print Status window does not show the page count. Instead it always shows "Sheet 1 of 1".
Both TextEdit and AppleWorks show the document as having four pages. A print preview from AppleWorks confirms the document does have four pages. Yet when the document is printed the Print Status window continues to show only "Sheet 1 of 1" with no indication that the document actually has a total of four pages. Nor does it show which pages is currently printing.
I am running Mac OS X 10.5.8. If I recall correctly, previous versions of Mac OS X showed both the total page count and the currently printing page number, which incremented as the job printed. As it is, there is no way to know the progress of a large print job.
Any idea what is wrong?

I am looking for a technet blog post, that explains all the tiny little details of the "Connection status" window, that is accessible if I CTRL+right click on the Outlook 2010 tray bar. I would like to receive some very professional and at
least Level 300 explanation of all the possible information visible in this troubleshooting window. Unfortunately there are hundreds of hits for this search term, I find it nearly impossible to find that single article that is right for me.

Servername: pretty obvious :)
Type:
Directory => what is the server providding the answer to DSQUERY command / rpc proxy for authentification (therefore it is normal to see your exchange server when using outlook anywhere if you would use a direct mapi connection the "real"
DC/GC name would show). This one is normally there twice , once for GC once for DC.
Mail => you mailbox store server
Public folder => if you still have a public folder store, that will identify what is the PF you are connected to.
Interface: the local network interface used for the connection so either your wired connection or the wireless card
Conn: HTTPS or MAPI, if you are using Exchange 2013 you will always see HTTPS. for older version, MAPI can only be on the local network.
Status: current status of the connection type, you will see that changing if you start outlook /rpcdiag from at home.
req/fail: number of current request/number of current request failed
Avg Resp: delay of response (in ms) can be usefull to troubleshoot for long request (with exmon) or network bottleneck
Authn: NTLM, KERBEROS, certificate etc...

Iphone shows up in windows but not in itunes

I have an Iphone 4s and windows 7 64 bit. I knew there were troubles with win7 and itunes so I waited to try to sync.
Today I was told that a new version of itunes was out and I could sync my phone now. Installed itunes 10.5.2.11 and my iphone shows up in windows as an iphone but not in itunes. When I run itunes diagnostics it shows itune does not see an iphone.
Startng to get a little frustrated. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything a few times, Made sure the services were started, restarted the computer, reset the phone and just about everything else I could think of.

Time Machine "Delete Backup" Status window

Hey all,
I am trying to delete an old backup inside Time Machine - did the old-fasioned way by "conjuring" the time machine with the stacked Finder windows on a starfield.
I arrowed up to the oldest backup and on the Action (with the gear symbol) dropdown I selected "Delete Backup". I get a confirmation prompt to "delete the selected backup" and I hit "Yes". Then.... where is the "Delete Backup" status window?
I know "delete backup" would take a while just like the backup process - however , at least we see the backup status on the Time Machine Preferences window. It seems like the Time Machine Preference window only shows the backup status. Could someone share how we could bring up the "Delete Backup" status window?

Unfortunately (or fortunately) the delete backup had completed by the time I saw this message
I went back to the Time Machine starfield windows and I no longer see the oldest backup (I noted down the date of the oldest backup).
Next time when I do another "delete backup" I'll look for that "spinning gear at the bottom right" as you indicated.   I assume that is a "hovering" spinning gear that is separate from the desktop dock?   If you have a screenshot (its ok if you don't) that would be great - thanks again for the reply. This will help anyone who might be looking for the same answer as I am.

How to create a status window of Essbase scripts?

Hello,
I'm hoping someone can give me some insights on how to approach this requirement. I'm a Java Developer and am not really familiar with Essbase technology.
The requirement is to create a status window of all running and queued calculations in Essbase. Users need to be able to start scripts as well and see its status.
Like I mentioned, I'm a Java programmer and I think the direction is to create a java-application to do this. Is there any information/example how this could be done.
Also, is there any technology that can be used to do this? Any plug-ins? I know that we use Excel as front-end for Essbase.
Any help would be appreciated.

You may want to check with your essbase admin to show you the hyperion EAS/AAS interface and its functionalities to see if some of them may/could get covered there itself as per your requirement.
Also, check the docs on the EAS/AAS here-
