Show report as PDF directly.

Question

Hi BO teams,
   Can we show the report as PDF directly instead of showing a CR Viewer component? 
Meaning I dont need to invoke the export feature of crystal report.  If yes
a sample code will be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks.

Hi,
You can export the report with out viewing using the viewer object but you need to use the export control to do this.
sample code as below.... Hope this will help you
ReportExportControl exportControl = new ReportExportControl();
exportControl.setParameterFields(getReportFields(map));
  try {
      exportControl.setReportSource(getReportSource(map.get(REPORT_NAME)));
} catch (ReportSDKExceptionBase e) {
     e.printStackTrace();
ExportOptions exportOptions = new ExportOptions();
exportOptions.setExportFormatType(ReportExportFormat.PDF);
exportControl.setExportOptions(exportOptions);
exportControl.setDatabaseLogonInfos(getConnectDetails());

exportControl.processHttpRequest(request, response, session.getServletContext(), null);
exportControl.dispose();
