Showing parent next to child in row heading

Hello -
I have a dimension in an ASO cube that has dozens of children for each of thousands of parents. I'm trying to write a Financial Reporting report that shows the level 0 members and displays their parent name next to them in the report rows (these parent names would be descriptors for the user's benefit - the data would still be level 0). I'm not able to find any variation of MemberProperty in a text column that can do this, nor any formula in the row heading. I'm considering redesigning the cube to put these children and parents into separate dimensions, but that seems counter-logical to me, since they're a perfect parent/child relationship. Can anyone suggest a way around this? Thank you very much for your time.

Have you considered creating anothe alias table that concatenates the Parent and Child for the Alias.

I'm a newbie on Oracle using Tora,
I'm Trying to run a query that will show me a hierarchical view of parent and child records in a table.
So far I"ve found a query format like this, but its not working
SELECT employee_id, last_name, manager_id
FROM employees
CONNECT BY PRIOR employee_id = manager_id;
but when running it with my tables and columns I get an error message
saying something 'cannont run CONNECT BY in subquery'
Any ideas?

SSRS Table/Row Header does not repeat on every page when exported to PDF

Hi, I have a SSRS Report in which the rows are grouped and the Tablix has a Table/Row header. I wanted the header to repeat on every page for a group because sometimes the data from the group would be more than one page.
                               To achieve this
                              - I went to Advance mode by clicking the arrow next to column group
                              - Selected the Header Static column from Row Group
                              - Changed the following properties
                              - KeepWithGroup: After
                              - RepeatOnNewPage:
True
                              - The header columns
are set to not grow.
The problem only occurs when the nested grouped data in one of the columns goes over a page. The following pages don't have any header.
So half of the time the header row repeats but when the nested grouped data extends over one page the header does not show. Problem only occurs when rendered to pdf.
I found this line "Headings are repeated on each page only if there is sufficient room" in SQL 2008 version. But I could not find it in later versions of sql server. So does that mean it is fixed

According to your description, you specify value of RepeatOnNewPage as True in the report. When exporting the report to PDF, one grouped data extend over one page, and tablix header display on first page, not repeat on following pages.
As we tested in our environment(SQL Server 2008(SP3)-10.0.5520.0(X64)), it works as you required. We set KeepWithGroup as After and RepeatOnNewPage as True. After exporting to PDF, the grouped data display on two pages, and tablix header repeats on each
page. Since we haven’t found any document mentioned this issue is fixed on which version, I suggest you try to install the service pack 3 for sql server 2008.

Hide parent group if child groups are hidden

I have SSRS 2005 report.
Report structure - To show a particular account transactions for every company.
So user will select account then i have to show all transactions for that account for all companies.
Parent group - Account
Child group - Company
Details section is like below,
transactions id transaction type debit
credit difference
In the groups visibility for compnay group (chile group) i have set condition if diff is zero then hide
so its hiding child groups. but showing account i.e. parent group.
My Report looks like,
Account : Acc001 (Parent group)
Company - ABC (child group)

t2 type 2

Company - XYZ (child group)

so i am hiding companies ABC and XYZ but report still show last row total by account. so if abc and xyz are hidden i want to hide that account group (for e.g. Acc001).

In Reporting Service, we can’t use a property of a text box as an expression when we use IIF() function to evaluate. But we can put this whole IIF() expression into a IIF() function for another textbox or group to set visibility. We tested your case in our
local environment. It works fine and completely achieve your goal. Here are steps and screenshots for your reference:
Create a table as described.
Right click on any textbox of detail row. Select Properties.
Click on Visibility tab, put this text into expression:
=IIF(SUM(Fields!Debit.Value)-SUM(Fields!Credit.Value)=0,true,false)
Select toggled by its parent group (Company).
Repeat step2 and step3 for each textbox of detail row.
Right click on textbox of Company. Select Properties.
Click on Visibility tab, put this text into expression:
=IIF(IIF(SUM(Fields!Debit.Value)-SUM(Fields!Credit.Value)=0,true,false),true,false)
Select toggled by its parent group (Account).
Right click on textbox of Account. Select Properties.
Click on Visibility tab, put this text into expression:

Go to Properties window, set InitialToggleState Expanded for Company and Account textbox

How can a parent restrict a child's access to a PARENT'S PRE-EXSISTING iTunes account via iCloud's Family Sharing Program? To explain further... I have a young son who is on my iCloud family sharing program... I am excited to be able to share SOME of my music in my iTunes library, but there are some songs and music videos that are not age appropriate for him and currently there is no way to restrict him from viewing and downloading anything off of my iTunes library. Yes, I suppose I can delete the songs he shouldn't have access to, but I don't think I should have to do that... I paid for them and still like them and listen to them while I work out or am without my kids. Is there a way for me to personally select which songs/videos I would like to "hide" from my children in an effort to shield them from inappropriate content?

I understand that you have some content in your iTunes library that you would like to restrict access for the child set up on Family Sharing with you. To do this, you can set restrictions on the child’s device as described in the attached article.

Now kids under 13 can have their own Apple IDs. As a parent or legal guardian, the family organizer can create an Apple ID for a child and add the child to the family group automatically. Ask to Buy is turned on by default, and the organizer can also limit the content kids have access to on their devices through Restrictions on an iOS device or parental controls in OS X and iTunes.

JTable with row header plus value extraction from headers

Hi, I am trying to do the following:
Short Version-
1. Create a table that has both row and column headers
2. Allow the user to mouse over any of these headers such that doing so will display an image I have produced on a panel. (I already know how to create the image and how to display it, I'm just not sure how to associate it with a particular row or column header)
3. Make the row headers look as much as possible like the column headers.
Slightly Longer Version-
Column headers will be labled A-H (maximum) while row headers will be labled 1-12 (maximum). Either can be less, however, depending on user input. After the table has been realized, the user will move the mouse over say, header 'H' and when they do, a JPEG image will appear on another panel and a tooltip will appear above the cell showing a formula. This happens when either row or column headers are moused over.
Currently, I am using the following code from the O'reilly Swing book as a baseline for experimentation but any help you can offer will be appreciated. I'm fairly new to the JTable world... :-(

How do I show data from a child table in a Modal Window?
I have an application where each customer might have multiple addresses and phone numbers which are stored in child tables. When I show the customer in a record on a screen I can place a Modal Window button on the screen which can be pushed at runtime
to display detail information for the particular customer parent table which works great. However, I would also like to display the data from the address and phone number child tables. Is there a way to do that? Or can I just launch a hole separate screen
which would automatically display the needed data for the particular customer? If yes, how?

I am not even sure how to describe my situation in such a way that this forum incident would be of benefit to other people as I think it is fairly unconventional.
The “add contactaddress” link does not show up on the right.
The contactaddress table is a child of the contact table.
The contact table is a child of the contactlink table.
And the contactlink table is a child of the person table.
I have it set up this way because the contact in the contact table may be a contact to multiple persons in the person table and I do not want to re-enter the contact info every time the contact is used.
In the list detail screen of the person table I can see the contactlink child collection so that I can see the name of the person in the contact table at runtime. However, the contactaddress collection is not related to the person table so it does not show
up on the right hand side of the design screen as an “add contactaddress”; nor is there “add contact” link.
What I would like to happen during runtime is that it is not necessary to switch screens from the person list detail screen to a contact list detail screen to see the addresses and phone numbers for the contact.
Is my setup unnecessarily convoluted? Is there a better way? Please see the two snapshots below.
Perhaps there is a way to call up a Detail screen from the List Detail at runtime?

On home page there is a Tab called Count and I want to show the count on the right corner of this tab button.

Create an application item. APP_HOME_COUNT.
Create an application process:
make the application process type "on new instance" if you only want this to run once
make it "on load before header" if you want to have the value set every page load
application process source:
select count(*) into APP_HOME_COUNT from <your table>
modify the tab name to reference the app item, maybe something like "Count(&APP_HOME_COUNT.)"
result should look like this "Count(5)"

Create 2 row header in an HTML report?

Can anyone help me and take a look at my code?
The Test Data 3.vi reads in the text file, then Data Report.vi spits out a report in HTML.
I am trying to do a couple of things,
1. to duplicate a report in the exact manner it is formatted in, a double row header. (I will have to post another reply,and include the 2 jpg files of what I am trying to do.)
2.I am also trying to get 2 columns of data in one column, or to at least appear that way. It would be the 2nd and 3rd columns to one column, 4th and 5th columns into one column, and so on.
Attached is my code and text file. I am about going cross-eyed trying to figure this thing out.

Below are 2 jpg files showing what it is I am trying to do in my code. With what I have tried, it seems impossible to get it exactly the way the original report is formatted. I attempted to concatenate strings, but, all that does is run the data together rather than in nice neat columns. I tried putting to arrays into one, but that didn't work either to give me my 2 columns of data into one column.

I know two ways:
- transaction obvu: here you can insert new fields, but only if these fields are included in certain table (like BKPF, BSEG, BSIS.....
- if your field isn't included in those table, you have to modify the structure RFPOS and manage it in the BTE 1650. After updating RFPOS you have to run the program RFPOSXEXTEND to update the structure RFPOSXEXT.

1. You can set a column as row header by setting the "rowHeader" attribute on column to be true and these header columns should be first columns in table.
2. AFAIK, there is no property as such, but you can do it programmatically by adding a transient attribute in vo for line number and by calling a method which increments line number for each row by iterating all rows in vo
Eg. code using DeptView(where lineNumber is a transient attribute added in DeptView to hold line numbers assigned to each record).

ADF row header and delete all problem

I am using JDeveloper 11.1.14 and ADF-Bc in my project.
In one of my page I display a simple table and a button which deletes the selected records.
I dragged and dropped the 'Delete' operation from the Data Control view object onto the bindings.
The below method iterates through selected rows and calls the 'Delete' operation which removes the current row.
The Code for delete is as below

I have added row header as column in my jsp page inside af:table. ex: <af:column rowHeader="true" width="12" id="c16"/>
The problem is that if I manually select all rows[using control key] and click on 'Delete' button, the method is working fine[all records are being deleted].
But If select all records either thorugh ctrl+A or on click of top of row header, all records are being selected in U.i,but the delete operation is not deleting
all the records.It deletes only part of the records.[Ex: say 7 out of 10 records being displayed].
Please let me know where I am doing wrong. or if it has something to do with range size.

In the below code, if the row removal is commented out, then the selected row count(i.e size ex: 9)
and the index counter printed are correct.[i.e for example index counter printed will be 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9]

How to Query the Summary Name from Custom Section Row Header Information

I need a query that can help me retrieve the summary name from a custom section row header information. We have a couple of Denorm tables that when the data is denormalized, the row_name field is only showing the denormalized alias name. We would like to be able to pull the summary name from the row header information section? How can we use the denorm alias name and join it to another table to find the associated summary name?

The following query returns the row name as well as the denorm row name, for a given custom section, where we specify the custom section by the denorm table. You oculd do this in other ways, it just depends on how you want to retrieve the information. Is this what you are looking for?

Requirement to show parent item on Pick Slip report

rdf file of pick slip is not giving parent item in the output. I added a sql query to get the parent item details from oe_order_lines_all. Since the query is at a different level, I could not show parent item and its related child items in sequence.
does any one have similar problem......please let me know how u have fixed it
