Sign in link and adding a guest user.

I have added security for my web center application.Currently i have created a default pages(login.html and logout.html) for handling login and logout.
Now i want signIn link on my every page.when a user clicks the link he should be navigated to login.html.
User can browse the pages without getting logged in as a guest user.l
How can I achieve the abve functionality for a guest user.

The Anonymous-role works for a page, but now when i call login.html and try to login i get Http:403 error.
Is there a way to forward to a particular page from my login.html if the authentication is success, may be return to the page which requested for login.

How do I add a guest user and set it up so that the guest user can use X and all that.
Also, when I start arch it goes directly to console. I like this as opposed to a log in manager. With the help of my fellow archers I added arguments to the xinitrc so that typing "xinit xfce" executes xfce4-session, "xinit X" starts an xterm, etc. etc. Upon starting up I get the login: prompt. Is there any way that I can make it say "type xinit xfce to use the gui, password for guest is blah". Just a small disclaimer to help people who have no idea how to use Linux but want to use my printer.
I've added a guest user before but I could never get the guest user to be able to use X or anything. Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. The guest user is only there because I have the only printer in the house and I don't want to give out my password. Adding a guest user would allow people to print when I'm away.

Are all the computerse in the house on the same network? Would setting up your machine to allow other machines to use the printer over the network solve your problem? The latter solution seems much better from many angles, though I don't know what other constraints you're working with. If it does turn out to be feasible, check out samba (assuming the other machines are Windows) or cups.

Please assist me for NAC guest server poster assesment issue.
Scenario is like we have NAC guest server and all wireless guest users authenticate through Guest Server.
Its working fine.
But customer wants to apply poster assement on guest users through existing CAS and CAM.

Actually in my network we have cas and cam integrate with WLC for internal users. Its working fine.No issue. Poster assesment and authentication working fine.
We have also NGS server which is integrate with WLC for web authentication fow guest wireless users.
It is also working fine.Authentication happened through NGS server succesfully.
But now I wanted to force poster assesment for wireless guest users which are authenticated through NGS server.

My mac pro won't allow guest users to log in.

Typing in additional text seems to get the job done. This seems to be a feature of the latest IOS update, I have never had the problem before the last update.
I use the box with the arrow just to the left of the URL block at the top of the page to send myself links to pages of interest. Adding the extra text seems like a pointless step, but it does work.

Restart the computer (with Parental Controls off) and try again. If there's no change, see below.

I accidently logged off with Guest user and now I cant get back into my computer it is threatening to loose all my documents

As i am the sole user of my computer i dont use my password, therefore to be honest i have forgotten it. Now I dont know how to get my password back and i cant delete the guest user which seemed to have put itself there. if I try to delete. It I am told i will lose all my files. I simply switched off last night as I was so frustrated by it. technical terms are not much use to me, at 78 i feel I just need simply directions as to what to do. i am sure there is nothing wrong with the desktop. i would be grateful for any suggestions

Your Mac encrypts your password as it is entered. It is never stored "in the clear". It cannot tell you what it is, or even how many characters are in it. All it can tell is, when you enter it again and it encrypts it again, "was that it?"
So you will need to Reset your password, which changes it permanently, deleting the old one.

Linksys M10 and Mountain Lion OS problems with Guest User - which router is best to upgrade to for Maverick and higher OS coming in fall?

Since we upgraded our OS to Mountain Lion the Guest User on the Linksys M10 router isn't working. Not compatible. Which Linksys should one upgrade to for use with Maverick OS and the newer releases coming this fall and onward?

Sorry - I have Maverick 10.9.4 and the guest user on the link sys M10 isn't compatible. Any suggestions on which wifi router to upgrade to for newer releases of OS coming?

Go to the Apple icon at top left and at bottom of list Log out Guest User. This will take you back to the login screen.

Sorry to hear about this problem. What site are you trying to log in on? Is it a Mozilla site? Usually you don't need to register or sign in to a Mozilla site to use Firefox. Usually you can just go straight to where you want to go.
