Silverlight Tool for debugging and inspecting UI created dynamically from Styles

We have a Silverlight grid. In the grid style xaml, in row header style, I am creating a custom grid column header with an arrow on the click of which it renders a list box control with columns name and check boxes to select. This
list is populated from a ColumnViewModel. The listbox on opening overlays the grid. I have to convert it to WPF grid.
In this case,How to debug and trace visual tree so that I can port the similar tree to WPF.
Any tool to inspect run time bindings value with Styles and inspect the rendered UI in Silverlight ?

What about XML Publisher ? ...it can be used to make reports against an Oracle EBS database and integrate them into the EBS Application ?I believe you need a developer license to use Oracle Developer (Forms/Reports) for customizing/creating reports.

The old Apple ID (presumably your dads) owns those songs and your new Apple ID does not. However, your dad can authorize your iD to use the songs by going to Store > Authorize This Computer from your iTunes menu and entering his Apple ID and password.

All that I can find now turns on a panel in the lower half of the window that probably does all the same stuff, but it takes up much more room. Where did that toolbar go? or was it an add-on or plug-in?

First, the plist is a by product of the Apple development process just like the plist is, thus you need to get this from the developer.
Second, you don't have a choice. Getting ipas for Apple store apps is nearly impossible -- you can't just download them from the Apple store and use them. You can try to ask the developer for them but developers are very reluctant to do this. I can guarantee
you that you won't get the ipa for Outlook from Microsoft and nearly all other developers have the same reluctance. There is no reason for them to give them to you -- the store offers many, many advantages for developers/publishers of the apps that go away
completely if they give out the ipa.
Why don't you want to install apps from the store?
Regardless, as mentioned, you really don't have a choice.

lol, I had to go look at the back of that, I've been using it so long with componet. I started getting the hdcp message a few months ago on it. been using it for years with componet now I cant. what I meNt on the AT2 is that when I bought it, I was able to use it, rent moves, etc. since I got it using an adaptor because of my tv. It just recently was rendered incapable along with the componet output on the AT1.
My tv is a 65" Hitachi rear projection, with no hdmi. It's old, but still has a great picture

Hi Renuka,
The model classes get generated under gen_cmi folder at the time of model import.
As far I know, the Web Dynpro build operation also re-generates these classes if reqd.
That is why I asked you to delete the gen_* folder content & do a Project Rebuild operation.
Or you can delete the model & try importing it again.
If the problem persists with the generated classes then there is an issue/bug with the generation & I would recommend to raise an OSS message (WD Java component)

I have added two Shape3D objects in the TransformGroup and I wanted to remove one of it to add another. But, the following exception occurs when I try to use �removeChild� :

Why can I add Shape3D objects and I can�t remove them? Do I need to add Shape3D object in the BranchGroup and work only with the BranchGroup? If I do, I think this isn�t a good solution for the scene graph, because for each Shape3D object I will always have to use an associated BranchGroup.

Put a branch group between the transform and the shape. Then it can be removed.
Another thing you could try: This doesn't actually remove the shape, but at least causes it to hide. If you set the capabilities, I think you can write the appearance of the shapes. So, when you want to remove one of them, write an invisible appearance to it.

Different environments created for Debug and Release libraries

Environments created in Debug mode cannot be read by software compiled in release mode. The same is true for the reverse.
Both libraries compiled with VS.NET 2005 (C++). The environment created in Debug mode is slightly different than the library created in the Release mode. I would assume that this is a bug?

Thanks for answering so quickly. Having release and debug builds able to manipulate the same environments is a requirement of convenience. Our project builds both release and debug versions of our software and distributes both versions to the development team daily. The team is encouraged and expected to run both debug and release builds to test their contributions and because the system opens the database (which is distributed with the build) upon startup, one of the two will always fail to load. That leaves us with two obvious solutions/workarounds. The first being to distribute the build with 2 environments and ensure that the build chooses the correct environment based on whether it is debug or release. The second is to rebuild the debug library without the --enable-diagnostic switch.
We have no immediate need to enable the diagnostic information (that I am aware of...in fact I don't even know what types of checks are put in that would be helpful).
Do you have an alternative solution that others have used as a work around for this?

Compiling differently for debug and release

I want to produce slightly different .class files for my debug and release compilations. For debug, methods like toString() should return rich information which should not be present in the release version. In fact, I want most of my debug specific code to not be included in the final release to keep ti's file size down.
I realise I can do this by creating something like

}and implementing this on any class that needs to do debug specific work. However, I'm in a bit of a chicken and egg scenerio. This file needs to exist during development time so that every class that needs it can implement it - however, this would prevent me from dynamically changing it based on whether I'm doing a debug or release build. On the other hand, if the file is generated automatically at compile time, all the classes that need to refer to it will need to refer to a non-existant source file, which will cause problems in my NetBeans IDE.
Is there a way around this? It would be nice if there was some sort of a configuration file you could specify to to alter how the code is generated. Something similar to C++ #ifdef.

/code]You should be careful about this, by the way, rember that this kind of constant value gets compiled in to classes that reference it, and java doesn't always pick up the need to recompile when the source of MyGlobals changes.
On the other hand, if you don't declare it final then the compiler can't optimise out code that you want it to exclude for you.

Single sourcing tools for paper and html help

Hi
Today I started a new job where html help is made in RoboHelp
and the paper manual is made in Word. Both are translated to 5
languages, so the translators also use Word and RoboHelp.
Unfortunately there is no single sourcing at all.
I want to introduce single-sourcing so that I use the same
source for output to html help and paper.
I am used to FrameMaker for paper output and the WebWorks
Publisher plugin for the html help output.
If I were alone I might use FrameMaker and Madcap Blaze. I
think however that I can introduce one but not two new tools for
the 5 translators.
What Is your suggestion? Which tools should I use? Word
hasn't the conditional text feature I need. I don't belive that
RoboHelp can create a Word output which lives up to the Company
design standards. Besides, will Robohelp live, does it works under
Window Vista?

Hi Polle2. First of all there are many users on these forums
who use RH to single source with no problems. Sure RH single
sourcing requires a little thought and set-up - just like most our
"true single source" tools. There's a new version of RH planned
(version X6) and currently in beta test but we won't know what
included in it until it's formally released.
As far as product comparisons are concerned, I've not used
Madcap Blaze and neither has anyone else as I believe it's not
released yet. My two penneth worth is you are right to go down the
single sourcing line and that RH - and other tools - could all fit
the bill. It all depends on which one fits your specific
needs.
