i am getting date from legasy system in the format mmddyy.
before uploading this into sap i need transfer that into sap format.
can u plz give me the code for this...using split.

You can use Below FM :
CONVERT_DATE_TO_INTERNAL
This FM will convert date as internal format,i mean depends on user profile.
DATA: date(8) TYPE c.
ur field <date1>is in mmddyyyy format.
concatenate date14(2) date10(2) date1+2(2) into date.
write date to necessary variable.
parameters:p_date type d.
data: v_date1 type d.
CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERT_DATE_TO_INTERNAL'

Mapping conversion help needed for date

I need help in message mapping convesion for date field
The source date field can have value '2010-06-04T02:09:59.610-07:00' or 2010-06-04T02:09:60.610-07:00
I have to change it to '2010-06-04T02:09:59.000-07:00'. ie, if the seconds are 59.XXX, or 60.XXX, then change to 59.000.
Please let me know the best way to do this

Using the above date function, all the seconds 59.XXX, 58.XXX, 60.XXX, etc etc,,, are converted to 59.000, 58.000 and 60.000
I dont need this as per the requirement. So looks like the UDF needs to be altered a little to accomodate my requirement.

I do not believe SQL Developer would have DataPump utility.
As the name implies, SQL Developer is intended to be used as a tool to facilitate development (typically of SQL code), as well as provide additional features to assist developers in their daily routines.
DataPump, is more of a DBA tool used for extracting logical copies of data from an existing database and/or port to another database. To use this utility, you would typically need to be in the dba group (although not necessary if configured properly). But at least on the same server as the datapump utility software resides.
There are many options and features to using datapump, including network_link which allows extraction of data from a remote database to another database on a different server without ever creating a file on the operating system.
If I recall correctly, I believe in older versions of Oracle client (e.g., 8.x), the Oracle client provided the export/import utility. But those days are long gone now. With datapump, it is primary a DBA tool.

I have created one form using screen painter displaying text boxes and bind them to the table.
This form is working absolutely fine when there are some data in table (i.e. Browse using navigation)
My problem is, when I click add button from tool bar the "OK" button turn to "Add" that means the form is set to Add mode, but when I click "Add" button after entering some data nothing happens and input data is not stored in Table. The same "OK" Button turned to "Update" when I do changes in loaded data, but my changes are not reflected to table after I click "Update".

There is no such query. The table fields is directly linked to Edit Box or Combo Box in form.
From the examples I learned that I have to do something like this to get my table updated

Can TIME MACHINE turn on external HD only as needed for data transfer?

Can the TIME MACHINE control turning an external HD on only when backing up instead of leaving the HD running full time? I have a LaCie 500 gig usb HD and currently unmount it and turn off the drive each evening and remount it the next day. Is there any harm in this? Also am I foolish to worry about leaving the drive running perpetually?

The problem is that if your LaCie is a Porsche 500 GB USB drive of the most recent generation, il will NOT sleep, whatever the settings in the Energy Saver Pref Pane.
LaCie Tech confirmed me just yesterday that their most recent production of Porsche drives had a new controller chip that allowed faster transfers and had lower seek time than the previous generation, but lacked the possibility of responding to the sleep command of the computer.
A friend of mine has a LaCie Porsche 500GB USB drive that is a mere 4 months old and that indeed goes to sleep when the computer does, or when he shuts it down, or when he merely ejects the drive. The Porsche that I bought last week doesn't. If it's ON, it spins! The only way to stop it from spinning is with the power button in the rear of the case.
I really wonder why it has to be so.

I work for an organization that has deployed Lync 2013 throughout the enterprise.
We have no need for “Data at Rest” encryption on the servers or clients at this time, but we do have a customer requirement for FIPS 140-2 encryption for “Data in Transit”? Does Lync provide data in transit encryption utilizing one of the National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) approved modules by default? If so, have all the traffic types been “Certified” compliant (i.e. Server-to-Server, Client-to-Server, IM, Audio, Video, Desktop Sharing, web conferencing, etc…)?
I’ve read all the technet articles and looked at the following links, but it is not clear to me.
I cannot find the certification number and certificate for the FIPS 140-2 validation for Lync's encryption module on either the Microsoft or NIST websites.

I meant holding the "option" (or "alt") key on your keyboard as you click the Outlook icon on the Dock, and continuing to hold it until you see the Microsoft Database Utility come up. Alternatively, you can open the utility by navigating to Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Office and then double-clicking the Microsoft Database Utility app.
When you rebuild your database using that program, a backup copy of your original database (containing your account info, contacts, mail, calendars, etc) will be created. As a security precaution, you should also ensure you have a backup of your database (which you can find by going to Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/ and copying the contents of that folder onto an external drive).

ABAP code for Date Range

Hi All,
I have requirement to write code for date range.
Characterstic = Run-Out Date, it was created reference to 0Date.
Requirement is data should load depends on Run-Out Date 7 days old and 14 days future.
Logic is -7 days old >= Run_out date <= 14 days future.
please let me know how I need to proceed with ABAP code for this requirement.

Abap query : retrieve max date for the each unique material

I am facing problem formulating an ABAP query to retrieve records of table1 - material , table2 - doc no , table2 - doc date.
I need records having maximum doc date for each material.
I have used inner join on doc no on both tables.
