Simple MySql Search; No Results Found Result

Hi all,
Quick question. I've set up a search page in Dreamweaver,
which searches my Mysql database for whatever the given entry is.
It's a basic setup, the search page is on search.php, the results
page on results.php, and it seems to work pretty well. However, I
can't seem to figure out how to have Dreamweaver echo back "No
Results Found" if nothing is found for the search. Right now, if I
search for anything, and there are no results, the table in the
results page just shows up empty. I know there has to be a way to
have it come back with "No Results Found" as opposed to just being
blank, but I personally am drawing a blank. Any advice? Thank
you!!!!

Look in server behaviors for 'Display region if...'
behaviors. Put
into the page:
Sorry, no results
Your search results are:
[repeat region goes here]
Highlight the first paragraph (or whatever structure), and
apply the
'Display if recordset is empty' behavior. Highlight the
second
(results) paragraph/whatever and apply the 'Display if
recordset is not
empty' behavior.

Help required to customize Simple/Advanced Search. Need to add new fields

EBS version: 12.1.3
Jdev version: 10.1.3.3
Scenario:
- We are dealing with standard oracle pages.
- We have TWO "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH"s available. Each "Simple/Advanced Search" can be found by navigating through paths "A --> B" and "A --> B --> C --> D" . Here it means one "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH" page is available at page "B" and another "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH" is available at page "D".
- In the first search page which is at page "B", both Simple as well as Advanced search has a filter field "Win Probability %", of type VARCHAR2/DROPDOWN with values (10, >=10, <=30, 30, >=30, <=50, 50, >=50, <=70, 70, >=70, <=90, 90, 100)
- In second search page, referring to page "D", the Simple search DOESN'T have the "Win Probability %". And the Advanced Search page has the "Win Probability %" but it is of type - NUMBER/MessageTextInput type.
Issue/Requirement:
- The 2nd Simple/Advanced search pages need to have "WIN PROBABILITY %" field and it should be of VARCHAR2/DROPDOWN with values (10, >=10, <=30, 30, >=30, <=50, 50, >=50, <=70, 70, >=70, <=90, 90, 100) just like the way we had in 1st Simple/Advanced search.
Note:
- Again speaking we are dealing with standard oracle pages
- If you go to the "About this Page", interestingly I found:
i. The "message component layout" for both of them is from the same region , i.e., ASNOpptympSrchRN
ii. Rest of the search filters for both the searchs are from common View Object , i.e., OpptySearchVO1 (for Simple search), OpportunityDetailsVO1 (for advanced search)
iii. The "Stack layout" for both the search pages are same, i.e. XXMASOpptyQryCO
iv. None of the fields are rendered to false (everything is set to be rendered TRUE)

"XXMASOpptyQryCO is the name of stacklayout or CO?
What is the CO?
Does both pages share same CO?
have you already extended the CO "XXMASOpptyQryCO"?
what is the original CO then? I think in that CO it must be written somewhere, simple search "search allowed = false""
-Here CO what you are referring is a controller.
-FYI pages share same controller.
-And the original controller for both the pages are OpptyUwqCO. Right now its extended controller is XXMASOpptyQryCO
Fact is I didn't create this search page. It was built by some third party members. Also that I do not have the original source nor the documentation pertaining to it. So could you inform as in how should I navigate to the point "Search Allowed = True"
I should have informed that at "B" page, it has a region /oracle/apps/asn/opportunity/webui/ASNMgrOpptyQryRN and at page "D", the region is /oracle/apps/asn/opportunity/webui/ASNOpptyQryRN

I can't search for books or authors on my iphone 6. It says no results found every time. Is there some setting I may have wrong? I have been using my kindle app instead.

I can't search for book or authors in ibooks. When I search an author or book and click on it a message that says not results found comes up. Even if I try to look up something popular like Dracula or Twilight. Is there some setting I should have clicked? It won't find or download any books at all anymore. This started about a month ago. I have been using my Kindle app instead.

I see that you are having issues with your connection to the iBooks Store. Here is an article with some troubleshooting steps that will be relevant to your issue, even though the article was written for issues with the iTunes Store:
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.

OIM 11g r1 custom field in simple user search result

Good morning,
i need to visualize a custom field in the OIM simple user search result table. At the moment, when a simple user search is performed, the returned attribute is only the "Display Name".
For the advanced user search result table, is possible to add other fields modifying the Search Results table configuration in Advanced->User configuration->Search Configuration.
How can i do the same the for simple user search result?

Yes, i tried to add my custom attribute to both Simple and Adv search result table, but without luck. Only Display Name column attribute is shown when a simple search is performed.

All searches now come up with "no results found"

We'll need a little more information to be able to help you in this case.
Can you please advise;
- Which Search Engine are you using (Google, Bing, Yahoo etc)
- How are you searching? Are you using the "Awesome bar" at the top of the screen? Or are you going to a search engine website (eg. google.com) then typing in the search box there?
- Posting a screenshot might help solve this quicker as well.

Help! ipod touch map feature always says no search results found

no matter which address, city, if I enter an address directly or select from the contacts.
if I go to google maps in safari it brings up my addresses quickly and without any trouble. (very nice)

yes wifi is on...as I can use safari to to actually validate that an address does bring up the google map; it works great in the browser its just regardless of what I enter into the maps line (address, city, county, whatever)...
it just says "no search results found"
as this is a "complete" failure of the map program I was hoping the solution would be easy...guess not
to summarize...internet connection works great, safari web browsing never fails, using safari to find addresses on maps.google also works without a hitch.
using the maps program ALWAYS shows a blank background and says no search results found....always...

Weather app on iPhone, iOS 8.1, shows "no results found" in China

I've checked about 20 iPhones in China so far and they all seem to have the same problem.
When using iOS 8.1 or 8.1.1 (even 8.0.x) the weather app shows "no results found" when searching for any city in the UK. Only London can be found.
The same goes for Germany. Only four cities in the entire country can be found.
I have checked on several iPhone 6, 6+, and on 5c.
Even when using a VPN and being virtually in the US, I don't get any results for e.g. Manchester.
Could someone else with an iPhone purchased in mainland China do a search for Manchester and confirm this problem please?

Taxonomy & Search option set - unwanted results

we have configured a search index on a repository :
/documents/Prikbord (this folder has subfolders) :
 /<user.id>/Images
 /<user.id>/Postings
In each 'postings' folder, an XML form item is created that has a property 'Notice Category' (the images have don't have this property!) to indicate whether the item is for our 'notice board' or our 'lost and found' corner. To visualize all postings by all users to the end users, we have created an index & a query based taxonomy :

Question :
We configured a Search iview, using the search options set defined above. However, the images used in the XML forms appear in the search results as separate entries, although they don't have the 'Notice Category type property' assigned.
How can this be? The search options set has /taxonomies/NoticeBoard assigned as the path to start in, the 'documents to classify' and the 'never to classify' folder are invisible.

check the images for their metadata.
Select them and view the details.
They might have the attributes to, which causes that htey will be sorted as well.
On the other side, I understand that your search option set is reffering to the index "NoticeBoard" which indexes the content in /root/documents/Prikbord.
This is not the taxonomy folder!
That might be the reason you get all the hits of a search, because they are in that folder of "/root/documents/Prikbord". And if the images are in that folder too, it would be clear why they show up!

How to create a custom search portlet that groups results by category

Hello,
Is it possible to create a custom search portlet whose search results are displayed on a page grouped by Category? Basically the results page should have Category heading followed by search results.
I realize this is not canned functionality but any ideas on how to accomplish this using PLSQL APIs is also welcome.

one workaround i could think of is using the CM views to search for content that belongs to a category and display it in a custom way.

this only allows you to search for the meta-data available in the CM views but not the content of an item that is available when doing a search.
in the next major portal release we will have a publich search API that can be used for these type of requirements. you can execute your search and format the results in the way you want.

I am running the latest version 10.0.5 through a Macbook Pro that has just been upgraded to 16GB Ram and a 960GB SSD which has made it as fast as ****. I upgraded because I was experiencing problems before and it was suggested that I didn't have enough Ram?
I am using a Focusrite scarlett 2i4 and an Alesis Q61 midi controller. Weirdly, just trying to put a bass line down on a track using the Alesis, the bass sound goes out of tune with the track during recording only. This is very frustrating! I surely can't be the only one experiencing this?

Time lost could be a problem, but.....
Sadly, I don't think that there are any Apple docs relating to networked storgae issues with Logic. Other than a 'school' or 'business' setup, NAS/OD/AD setups are not usual circumstances for audio.
If the issue is one of data backup & security, it may be enough to automatically backup the students local work folders to the NAS.
If the issue is one of the Users being able to work from any Mac and pick up their files from the server, you are not likely to resolve this problem, without copying the files to the Local Mac.

Display No Results Found in APEX page

I have a page with two regions the top region is an html region where users enter query criteria and generate an interactive report in the second region. The second region only displays if there are results from the query in the first region. I would like to display a "No Results Found" message rather than a blank screen if there are no results found. However, I don't know exactly how to do that. I tried to do it in the Interactive Report region, however, once I added the Conditional display to only when exists rows in the Interactive Report from the query criteria.
Any help is much appreciated.

If I understand correctly, you'll want to add an exists condition to your second region (then IR correct?) that uses the basic same SQL with the criteria, but doesn't need to return all the rows (select 1 from ...). Then you'll want to add another HTML region (a 3rd region) with your friendly message in it and with the same SQL condition as before but with a "not exists" so that it's the opposite situation. Basically the regions will flip on or a off based on the results.

Google Advanced Search only displays 10 Results per page in Firefox 3.6.10

In Google Advanced Search, choose any value for Results per page greater than 10 and do a search. When using Firefox 3.6.10, only 10 results are displayed on each page of results. 10 results per page is the Google default, and the Results per page selection apparently has no effect.
This problem also happens in Google Chrome 6.0.472.63.
The Results per page feature of Google Advanced Search is working properly in other browsers, such as Safari 4.1.2 on a PowerPC Mac and IE 7.0.5730.13 and IE 6.0.2900.5512.xpsp3_gdr.100427-1636 on a PC running Windows XP

Google recently made some changes to the Google search site with the addition of Instant search and that made the setting of the number of results in the Google settings to stop working. 
 
If Instant search is enabled on the [http://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en Google Search settings] page (link at the top right) then you only get 10 results. 
You have to disable instant search and reload the result page and then set the number of results to your preferred choice. 
It may not work if you make both changes at the same time. 
 
There is a link directly to the right of the Google search field on the Google results page. 
That is a button with a drop down list: Instant is On/Off.

Can some one give me an idea how to start to make a Search Query showing the results as list of buttons.. i have already have my buttons with names. i just dont know how to make a search query.
