Simple way to restrict keyfigures with authorizations

Good day!
I need to restrict some users from viewing some keyfigures in some infoproviders. Total amount of keyfigures is about 40. BW auth concept doesn't allow to use NE operator. The only way I see now is to list all keyfigures for each infoprovider. That is not very convinient.
Second idea is to use BT operator, but I need four intervals for restricting three key figures.
Any other ideas?
PS: I need to restrict different keyfigures for different infoproviders...

Hi,
You can do this using a Characteristic 0TCAKYFNM. This characteristic is used for authorization analysis. Authorization-relevant display attributes are hidden in the query if the user does not have sufficient authorization. You can read about this characteristic at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/2a/9f2d42b75eda2ce10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/b1/0c9441b8972e7be10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
Hope this helps.
Thanks and Regards,
Praneeth.

    Is there a (relatively simple) way to skip tracks with an iPod touch 5th gen using a physical button? I'm aware songs can be skipped on-screen without unlocking the iPod, but I'm looking for a method that doesn't require taking my eyes off the road while driving. For that reason, I'm also not interested in adding in headphones or additional devices that have the desired button functions. Going both forward and back would be great but I would be pleased just to have a "sight-free" way to go forward.
    I've seen some mention here and there about ways to maybe change it so the volume buttons change tracks and holding the volume buttons changes the volume... but I don't know what's involved in that or if its even possible/recommended for a new 5th gen iPod. I think its a great device but its sadly lacking in music oriented functions and features... which is disappointing since music is why most people would bother getting one instead of some other "iDevice" :/

    Given that you cannot do what you have asked for, perhaps you simply need to find another solution to your root problem.
    Presumably, you want to skip to the next track because you don't want to hear the current one, and that is because...
    You don't like it.
    You've heard it recently and don't want to hear it now.
    Simply don't want to hear it at this time.
    For problem number 1. Don't put it on the iPod in the first place. (I know, obvious answer!)
    For problem number 2. How about playing from a Smart Playlist (initially created in your iTunes Library) which has only songs you've not played recently?
    For problem number 3. Hhhmmm! Create alternative Playlists for use in the car.
    As for going back to the start of the "now playing" track.... Well, if your Playlist has only songs that you really, really want to hear, then you'll be looking forward to that rather go back to the beginning of the current song.
    I'm not trying to be prescriptive, just giving you food for thought.
    (They are all cheaper options than buying a car which can control the iPod from the steering wheel.)

  • Restricted KeyFigures confusion

    Guys,
             Is it possible to make a restricted keyfigure with one keyfigure and 2 chars?
    for example:
    If I use Amount keyfigure, one time char and another char(We can call it CHARA)
    then I restrict my time char to some time and this charA by something else.  Is this scenario possible?
    if so, does it mean I am saying: Give me all the amount for certain time and that certain charA?
    Thanks,
    RG

    the only difference could be that the RKF"s are usable entities that is you can reuse them from one query to another based on the same infoprovider
    Ajeeth,
    I do agree with you, but when you save the structure (mind you it becomes global now) in which the selection is used, Doesnt it make it reusable ???

  • Simple way to smooth an offset path...

    I have a shape, similar to the image below, and I need to offset the path, but when I do, I have corners galore and want to see if there was a simple way, outside of manually with the pen tool, to have the offset path be smoother, e.g. no corners, almost round.

    Object >> path >> simplify
    You also have a smooth tool, located under the pencil tool, whcih is good for smoothing out bumps.

    Yes there is. Those songs are not actually on your iPad. They are in iCloud ready for download if you choose to do so. If you want to remove them go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Show All>Music>Off. You can also do this in Settings>Music>Show All Music>Off.

  • Can someone please tell me a simple but effective method for burning a slideshow to DVD? Now that the connection between iPhoto and iDVD no longer exists, I can't figure out a way to get there with an acceptable quality result.

    Can someone please tell me a simple but effective method for burning a slideshow to DVD? Now that the connection between iPhoto and iDVD no longer exists, I can't figure out a way to get there with an acceptable quality result.

    Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar.  Select Size = Medium or Large.
    Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
    Follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
    Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
    To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
    Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
    If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailier like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com.  Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
    Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
    If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides  themes from iDVD 5-7.  The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
    Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:
    This shows the iDVD contents in the iLife 09 disc via Pacifist:
    You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.

    can we do caluculated keyfigure with in a restricted key figure give details

    Hi,
    Calculated key figures consist of formula definitions containing basic key figures, restricted key figures or precalculated key figures.
    The key figures that are restricted by one or more characteristic selections can be basic key figures, calculated key figures or key figures that are already restricted.

    I need to restrict access to Settings on an iPad so settings like VoiceOver cannot be activated while letting them access multiple apps on the device. Is their any way to restrict access to settings without locking the device with a PIN?
    This is so our guests cannot tamper or disable the device. We are already using Apple Configurator but their does not seem to be a way to lock down settings without a PIN.

    There's a lot of restrictions information in Chapter 19 of the 4.2 User Guide.
    http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad
    By the way, a more extensive version of the User Manual is available at no charge through iBooks.

  • HT201304 Is there a way to restrict user access to find my ipad with out restricting the mail app?

    I am working on setting up multiple Ipad 2 tablets with iOS 5.1.1 and I need to restrict access to turn off find my ipad. The only way I see to do this is to turn on restrictions and dont allow changes on accounts. The issue I have then is it also restricts the Mail app setup. Is there a way to restrict one and not the other? We use microsoft exchange mail and I would be willing to use another mail app if anyone can suggest one that works as an alternative?
    Thank you.

    I don't know of any reliable tracking app, but perhaps someone else here can suggest one I'm not aware of. Any could be defeated by just restoring the iPad, though, so about all you could hope to do would be make things a bit more difficult to turn off. For a third-party app, you'd have to restrict the user's ability to uninstall apps, something which might be equally problematic for you.

  • Can we restrict a keyfigure with an attribute?

    Hi All,
       If suppose we have zpaper and zprint chars, with an attributes of A4,A3 paper and Black,colour print. And keyfigures such as Count and cost. And my example report format is like this,
    <b>ID ,  name ,  deptID,     blackcount,     colourcount,     A4count,     A3count,   Blackcost etc</b>..
    And my doubt is, this report is an CSV file,i.e. we are just taking the data from CSV file and loading data into the cube ( which is also a customized cube). And how can we restrict these 2  keyfigures with the attributes (A4,A3, Black,Colour)? Can any one plz give me the soluiton?
    Thanks in Advance,

  • Why isn't there a simpler way to initialize a subclass with its super class

    Let me explain my doubt with an example...
    public class Parent {
        public String parent;
    public class Child extends Parent{
        public String child;
    I've an instance of Parent p. I want to construct Child c, with the data in p.
    The only way that is provided by Java language seems to be, having a constructor in Child like
    public class Child extends Parent{
        public String child;
        public Child(Parent p){
            parent = p.parent;
        }
    The problem with this is there is lot of redundant assignment code.
    What I don't understand is why there is not a simpler way of doing this when a subclass is after all super class data + some other data(excuse me for not looking at the bahavior part of it)
    I'm looking for something as simple as Child c = p, which I know is wrong and know the reasons too.
    Yes, we can wrap Child over Parent to do this, but it necessitates repeating all the methods in Parent.
    Why is the language writers didn't provide a simple way of doing this? I should be missing something here...I'm just searching for an explanation. May be I'm asking a dumb question, but this bugs me a lot...
    Regards,
    Kothapalli.

    To answer DrClap, I'm demanding it now :-). Let me
    not suggest something that Mr.Gosling didn't think of;
    he should be having some reasons in not providing it.Because it's essentially impossible in the general case. One of the reasons you may be extending a class is to add new invariants to the superclass.
    eg- extend java.awt.Rectangle by BoundedRectangle - extra invariant that none of its corner points may be less than 0 or more than 100 in any dimension. (The rectangle must be entirely contained in the area (0,0)-(100,100))
    What would happen if you try to create a BoundedRectangle from a rectangle representing (50,50)-(150,150)? Complete invariant breakdown, with no generic way to handle it, or even recognise it.
    Actually, BIJ and sgabie are asking for it. Provide an
    automatic copy constructor. Every object should have
    an implicit copy constructor defined. From any
    subclass, I should be able to invoke
    super(parentClass). From the subclass, we can invoke
    super(parentClass) first and then go on to initialize the
    subclass data.
    I really don't know the implementation issues of this,
    but what I'm looking for is something like this. I'm just
    curious to know the implementation issues.Implementation issue #1: Classes that should not, under any circumstane, be copied.
    * eg 1- Singleton objects. If there's an automatic copy constructor, then multiple singletons can be created, making them essentially useless. This by extension kills the Typesafe Enum pattern also.
    * eg 2- Objects with extra information, such as java.sql.Connection - if you copied this, would the copy be using the same socket connection, or would another connection be required? What happens if opening another connection, and the JDBC driver requires the password to be entered for every new connection? If the wrong password is entered, what happens to the newly creating connection?
    Implementation issue #2: Copying implementation?
    * Already mentioned by RPWithey. The only guaranteed way to perform the copy would be with a shallow copy, which may end up breaking things.
    Why can't you write the copy constructor yourself? If it's a special case, it only has to be done once. If it's a recurring case, you could write a code generation tool to write them for you, along with most of the rest of the class.

  • Simple way to connect Oracle 11g XE with MS SQL Server 2000

    Is there a simple way to access SQL server database/ Tables within from Oracle 11g XE (Windows-32bit) on same machine. I am a novice so kindly keep it simple. Thanks

    To connect to a SQL Server you need to use an Oracle product called Database gateway for ODBC which uses a 3rd party ODBC driver to connect to the SQL Server.
    The easiest set up is to install DG4ODBC release 11.2 on the SQL Server. How to configure the Database Gateway for ODBC is described in note:
    How to Configure DG4ODBC (Oracle Database Gateway for ODBC) on Windows 32bit to Connect to Non-Oracle Databases Post Install          [Document 466225.1]
    when you install DG4ODBC on a 32bit Windows operating system and the instructions for a 64bit Widnows operating system can be found in this note:
    How to Configure DG4ODBC (Oracle Database Gateway for ODBC) on 64bit Windows Operating Systems to Connect to Non-Oracle Databases Post Install          [Document 1266572.1]
    The database gateway for ODBC is available for free from here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/index.html
    Please make sure you select the 32bit or 64bit Windows operating system depending on the platform where you've installed the SQL Server and on which you now install the gateway and download the <win32/64>_11gR2_gateways.zip CD.
    Once downloaded, unzip it and install it using the Oracle Universal installer. Make sure you select the product Database Gateway for ODBC (there's also a dedicated SQL server gateway called Database Gateway for MS SQL Server - this gateway is NOT for free and it requires a separate license).

  • Copy Calculated/Restricted Keyfigures between DIFFERENT InfoProviders

    Hello Gurus,
    I am struggling with a problem and there doesn't seem to be any clear help on the web. But maybe you can help me.
    How can one copy a restricted keyfigure from one infoprovider to another different one when all the infoobjects used for the restricted keyfigure are present in both the providers? (multicubes)
    And of course TCode RSZC doesn't work with non-identical infoproviders.
    Thank you very much for your help!
    Marius

    Thank you Cornelia, but this method was clear for me from the begining... it is not an option though... there are about 30 InfoObjects (and another 40 Multiproviders) so there has to be another way. And there is a way because there is an article on BWExpertOnline which describes an easy method (unfortunately this answer is not worth a thousand dollar subscription for me):
    Quick Tip
    Copy Queries Between InfoProviders Painlessly
    by Joerg Boeke, syskoplan AG BEx Analyzer, InfoCubes, Performance, Query, Debug Mode, InfoProvider
    Perhaps, like me, you have spent countless hours successfully creating great queries that contain complex structures for a particular InfoProvider. Then, down the road, you find you need this exact query again for another InfoProvider, but the new InfoProvider has a single characteristic that differs from the one that was the object of your original query. Using SAP transaction RSZC (copying queries between InfoCubes), query definitions can be copied only for use on InfoProviders with the same characteristics. If the key bfigures and characteristics of the new InfoProvider do not match the original 100 percent, this standard method fails.
    So close and yet so far, right? I’ll show you a way, however, to copy the query definition from one InfoProvider to another, regardless of the characteristics of the new target. This method works with both BW 2.x and 3.x installations.
    Source: [http://www.bw-biexpertonline.com/archive/Volume_03_(2005)/Issue_06_(July)/V3I6A2.cfm?session=|http://www.bw-biexpertonline.com/archive/Volume_03_(2005)/Issue_06_(July)/V3I6A2.cfm?session=]
    The above mentioned method handles the copying of queries but when we copy the queries we copy the restricted/calculated keyfigures also.
    Does anybody know this painless method?
    I thank you in advance.
