Sims script errors: running on centos x86_64

Hi all,
I'm trying to run a simulation of one core of the UltraSparc T2 with VCS. I don't have Novas available, and as such, I'm using the command:
sims -sys=cmp1 -vcs_full64 -novcs_use_fsdb -novcs_use_vcsd -group=cmp1_mini_T2When VCS starts, I get the following error:
Error, cannot open pli table file "/share/PLI/vcsd2006.06/LINUX/vcsd.tab"I'm not sure where or why this directory is being included in the VCS command-line arguments.
I've tried running the following command without the group argument:
sims -sys=cmp1 -vcs_full64 -novcs_use_fsdb -novcs_use_vcsd It gets farther along in the process, but quits with the following error, and simv appears to not be created as a result:
/usr/bin/ld: /home/jaf6914/thesis/opensparc/verif/env/common/pli/global_chkr/libglobal_chkr.a(global_chkr.o): Relocations in generic ELF (EM: 2)
/home/jaf6914/thesis/opensparc/verif/env/common/pli/global_chkr/libglobal_chkr.a: could not read symbols: File in wrong format
collect2: ld returned 1 exit statusAny advice or suggestions?
Thanks,
John

I'm not sure why the difference in perl versions would yield that error message; anyway, I don't have 5.8.0 installed (this is my school's network); I tried to use the setup provided with the source code, but it was compiled for the SPARC architecture. I think the problem may be that the Vector.so is a 32-bit shared library, and there is no 64-bit provided...
Your guess is right. You can either copy the Bit/Vector library from the T1 distribution or download one from the http://search.cpan.org/%7Estbey/Bit-Vector-6.4/Vector.pod and install in your local dir. Make sure you set your PERL_PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH to include, if you installed it on your local disks.
Edit:
I've copied a 64-bit version of the Vector.so from the T1 distribution, although I don't know if they are compatible... anyhow, I believe my theory has been confirmed since I encounter a different error message. However, it is of the same kind, and I have recently experienced it when trying to get the T1 distribution work:
/home/jaf6914/thesis/opensparc/tools/Linux/x86_64/m4_gmp: error while loading shared libraries: libgmp.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The distribution is does not include the GNU libraries. Please make sure you have your LD_LIBRARY_PATH set to where you have GNU libraries installed on your machine. This can be /usr/lib or /usr/local/lib, or check with your sys admin.
This library does exist in the distribution, but in the SunOS directory... I tried copying it over to the x86-64 tools folder, but then I ran into needing libucb.so, which is a solaris library...
Am I using the wrong version of gcc? Would using cc fix it?

  • Error running ssodatax script for partner applications

I am running the ssodatax script after creating a partner
application using the user interface in the portal. I get the following
error after the script starts running:
SP2-0310: unable to open file "sso/ssoseedp.sql"
    Any thoughts will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Suzanne

It appears that ssodatax in your environment is unable to find the script ssoseedp.sql. This script should be available in plsql/sso directory under the ORACLE_HOME. Please find the script ssodatax and look for the sso subdirectory within the directory that contains ssodatax. If you find ssoseedp.sql in sso, then you can try running ssodatax from the directory that contains it.

  • On XP SP3 can't run plug-in, get IE script error without running IE, click Yes or No, nothing more happens

I am running XP SP3 and FF 3.6.18. I have been having trouble opening PDFs in FF but not in other browsers. FF tells me to update my Adobe PDF plug-in. I click in the FF list to update, go through the procedure and when I click on run I get the following message: "Internet Explorer script error," although I am not running IE and I have no other applications open or running other than Avast anti-virus. The pane gives me two options to the question "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?": Yes or No. After clicking on either, the pane disappears, but nothing further happens. I have then downloaded the plug-in again, but when trying to run it I get the message: "Only a single instance of this application can run." I have tried downloading the plug-in to a different folder but get the same message. I have also turned off Avast with no change in the above. Now no PDFs open in FF. What to do? Thanks.

    Thanks for your response...
I can wait.  After all, it was by waiting for the release of the 10h version after the 10e version sabotaged my flash installation, that I was eventually able to at least get Firefox up and running flash again...
It's just frustrating to think that the folks at Adobe can't come up with a better product testing cycle so they are unleashing these problems on end users systems...
I recognize that there may be some sort of issue with my particular system registry.  If so, I wish I knew what it was...but flash releases are the only installations I ever have any difficulty with...All of the other software I run updates without failing....sad to say...
Perhaps I will try running a home edition version of secedit (See here)http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313222 instead of the clean or repair install...I'll let you know what I decide and how it works out...
    Anyway, thanks for the input..

  • Internet Explorer Script Error when running report with user-entered params

We are using Crystal Reports Version 11.0.0.1282.  We have multiple copies each installed on a separate computer.  We have a relatively simple report with a prompt for 2 values (parameters) to be selected or input by the users.  The desktop is either Windows XP SP3 or Windows Server 2003 SP2  On all the XP/SP3 computers, this report works as expected.  On the exception computer, the Windows Server2003 Desktop, we see the prompting screen with place holders for graphics instead of the buttons.  When we attempt to select a value for the parameter by keying in the value and clicking on the OK link (no button), we see message box titled "Internet Explorer Script Error" with text: An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: xxx (varies depending on param chosen)
    char 1
    error: Object expected
    url: file:///c:/doc...../temp/1/prompting1.html

Searhing around the forum and using Google, I found a suggestion to be copying the "prompting" folder and dll from a known working system - tried this, it didn't work.
So. I still need a solution. Any other suggestions??

If I create the report without asking for user-entered params, it works.

The active browser on the computer is IE7 - 7.0.5730.13
I am using the installed crystal reports 11 program to run the report.  I open the report in CR by going to File/Open and selecting the report. Then I get prompted for my ms sql login info, which I enter.  Then I see the "Enter Values" window with my data entry fields; but I don't see the nice formatting and buttons which I see when I run this from the other computers; I see only the placeholders.  I select or enter data and click on the "OK" link.  Then the message box pops up.  The message box pops up when I click on any of the links or on the "x" in the upper right.  Mesage box is explicit - Intenet Explorer Script Error, etc., as I described in my original post.

  • Adobe Flash Player Script Error: Script Running Slowly

Hello everyone. I have a problem with my laptop when going on to certain websites. When I go one of the websites with a script error, I get a message that a script error is causing my Adobe Flash Player to run slowly, and that if it continues to run the computer may become unresponsive, and it asks if I want to stop running the script or something. I don't know what to do with it. Help!
I am running a Windows 7 laptop with a Internet Explorer 8 (I think) and Google Chrome (Both IE and Google Chrome have the same problem), and also Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX.
    [ email signature removed - see http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3731 ]

I would suggest you update your flash.  You are running flash 10 and the latest is flash 15.
Download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash for IE.

  • ILife '09 installation problems; run preflight script error

Hi, not sure where else to put this topic so I figured this would be the best place. The iLife section has forums for individual applications and not the entire thing.
I'd like to point out that I had iLife '08 installed and working but I uninstalled it before I proceeded with the '09 installation since I wanted to start clean. I also installed iWork '09 successfully.
When I try installing iLife '09 however, I get a an error stating "The following install setup failed: run preflight script for registration. contact the software manufacturer for assistance.". I have tried to repair disk permissions through Disk Utility and then reboot, but still get the same error. I have also tried using some of Onyx's "cleaning" utilities, but it doesn't help either.
I also get the same "run preflight script" error when I try installing the latest Quicktime update through Apple Software Update application.
Not sure any of these are related but I'm out of ideas. Is anyone else getting anything similar or know how to fix any of this?

Just a guess, but do you have a retail disk of iLife '09 or an upgrade that came as a supplement to your new Mac? If the latter, you should have the iLife '08 applications installed in their default locations (where they were located when you first started up the new Mac) because it is highly unlikely that an upgrade disk can upgrade what is not there.
If this is your problem, you may not have to reinstall the entire OS. Instead, first try looking for an "Install Bundled Software" app (or something with a similar name) on your new Mac's system disk 1. This may allow you to reinstall the original iLife apps without having to reinstall the OS. If so, the upgrade disk should work once they are back in place.

  • Script Error in running shortcut

I got an Internet Explorer Script Error message:
Object doesn't support this property or method
    mk:@MSITStore:C:\Program%20Files\Company\Help\WorkStation.chm::/common_RoboDemo/RoboDemo_I ntroduction.htm
This only happens when I use:
    - Windows 2000 SP4 + IE 5.5
It works fine if I use:
    - Windows 2000 SP2 + IE 5.0
    - Windows XP or above
That is when I run the executable file by using shortcut with
    the code below.
Grateful if anyone can let me know what I have missed.
    Thanks,
    Karen

Do you have the .chm installed to the same drive on each? If
you had it on D: on one setup this would cause the problem as
    well.

  • I keep getting script errors regardless of the FF version I'm running. This time it's on 3.6 and the error is Script: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/modules/utils.js:1027

I had to downgrade from ver. 4.0 back to 3.6 for my job. This version is the only on compatible with their add-ons and it gives me script errors at least twice a day. The only add-ons I'm running are for work and others who do this job don't have this problem. Using 4.0 I did experience it less often but it wasn't completely cured.

This is typically caused by a problem with the Personas Plus 1.6 add-on and it conflicting with the Google toolbar.
Try disabling the Personas Plus add-on. To do this open the add-ons manager by selecting the Tools menu, then Add-ons. In the list of installed extensions click on Personas Plus, then click on either disable or uninstall.
If you can not access the add-ons manager, follow the instructions in the [[safe mode]] article to start Firefox in safe mode. You should then be able to disable or uninstall Personas Plus. You can find more information on this procedure in the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article.

  • When I try to use the print/save as pdf option, I get a scripting error and Firefox usually freezes.

On my MacBook Pro running OS 10.5.8 and Firefox 3.6.13, I am trying to save documents as pdfs under the print window, I get a scripting error and Firefox usually freezes/becomes nonresponsive. This happens every time I tried to perform this task.

This is a fresh install of Windows 7.  It is installed on virtual environment on my mac mini using the parallels virtualization application.
I purchased the windows version of dream weaver CS 6 through an online website which I tried to install to my new windows instance.   This is the academic version of the Dreamweaver application with a perpetual license that I am trying to install.
I verified my eligibility through adobe which gave me a link to download the CreateiveCloud Set-up program.  I downloaded the install program in my windows environment and program and the gave the above error message.  Below is a copy of my computers specs.

  • Firefox is taking a long time to open. When it does open, I get a pop up box with "Script not running". Bookmarks on my tool bar don't load. Scrolling is unreliable--it will stop in the middle of a page

What is causing the "script not running"? Why so long to open? Etc.

    Hi Donekes,
First off I need a little more information to help with troubleshooting.  You say that an error occurs when you "try to re-open the same problem app before the old session completely exits".  Does the error have an error code or dialog display?  It may also be possible to receive an error log.  Here is a knowledge base that explains how to retrieve error logs.
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/54E361E3FF477EC186256C320068184F?OpenDocument
If you are able to get that information then please post.  Have a good day.

  • Firefox 4.0 is my default browser, and I am receiving a script error message when I try to view online images in Family Tree Maker 2011, a genealogy program. Have not had problems until Firefox 4.0. Can't seem to find a setting in Firefox to fix this.

Error is as follows: Line: 63 Char: 4344 Error: Unable to get value of the property 'offsetHeight': object is null or undefined Code: 0 URL: http://yui.yahooapis.com/combo?2.8.0/build/yuiloader-dom- event/yuiloader-dom-event.js&2.8.0/build/dragdrop/dragdrop- min.js&2.8.0/build/stylesheet/stylesheet- Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Y/N buttons."

I see. Well, I just tried to make IE my default browser, but it did not solve the problem. I receive the same script error when I view the image. (I may not have explained this thoroughly enough at first - I do get to view the image after answering the error message, but the print button embedded in the window doesn't work. Before, I never had a problem with viewing or printing.)
I imagine that at this point I will either need to communicate this to the IE people, or possibly revert to an older version of IE.

  • Still having a problem with Firefox going to "restart a session" even after re-installing Firefox. Keeps giving me "script error" when closing down. How do I fix this?

As stated previously...I have removed and re-installed Firefox, but am still getting "script error" when shutting it down and going to "restore session" when opening. Please advise what to do about this problem. Thank you.

Firefox 21 and Firefox 22 running on Windows 7 have been reported to take a long time to "wake up" from sleep. I realize hibernation is different than sleep, but... this is the closest match for your description.
Some users have reported that this problem is resolved in Firefox 23 (currently in beta). Others have had inconsistent luck with minimizing Firefox before letting Windows sleep and other measures.
Please check out this (very long) thread for more information: [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898 browser freezes after resuming from sleep]
Or jump to the part about Firefox 23: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898?page=3#answer-457321
The fact that this just started recently suggests perhaps it is related to another program or update, but I don't think anyone has confirmed the exact interaction that causes the problem.
