Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

Without the iPad connected, open up iTunes on your computer. Go to iTunes/Preferences/Devices and delete the backups that you're absolutely certain do not have the documents. Refer to figure below.
iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "NO" to creating a backup. (You don't want to create a new backup that does not have the docs.) You will then be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad. This time, say "yes."
Repeat all of the above as required until you get the docs.

Thanks for the help. The restore seems to have solved the problem. I had a bit of a panic attack when things started going haywire and the Apple 'Support' told me to call back during business hours!

Cannot get my old music since i updated to ios5

all my music is gone away from my i phone 4, since i updated to ios5.0.1, i got my apps back, but music which i had is not there, my music was transfered my my computer from i tunes.
i can still see the files on my computer but cannot see andy thing in my i phone. - i htried many ways but cant get through, any one knows please help!

Since updating to iMovie '11, I have two iMovie icons in launchpad

I update from iMovie 10 to iMovie '11 today. Since the update, I now have two iMove icons oin Launchpad - one one the first page and one on the second page.
This isn't a life-and-death matter, but doesn't seem right.
Any thoughts about how to sort it?

1. I have Creative Cloud and Lightroom v5.7.1.
2. CC offered a new version of LR.
3. I clicked download new version.
4. I now have 2 (two) LR shortcut icons on my desktop monitor screen.
5. The new version doesn't open.
6. The old version opens. Window pops up - LR catalog can't open. Quit other version of LR. Also - preview of image in LR is blank. Says photo missing.
7. Computer specs? Don't know what you want. 32Gb ram, i5, 1Tb
8. LR worked fine before upgrade.
9. Reached Adobe by phone. Started to talk. Line went dead.
10. My phone is working fine.

There are new versions of the iWork apps, but they have been completely re-written for Mavericks / iOS / iCloud integration. They are feature limited at this time, so Apple left the original versions on your Mac. They are in an iWork folder in the applications folder.
Along with changes to the programs themselves, the file formats are different. Some things like Google and Dropbox think the file formats are viruses and blocks them (I don't know if that is still the case as I don't use either). So, you may want to continue to use the old versions.

Siri is only a feature of the iPhone 4S. There is no information out there to suggest the iPhone 4 will get it later. Just going by history, most of the time Apple will just forget about the previous products and just look to the next device. Siri is only still a Beta at the moment anyway so they still need to perfect it before it is added to any other devices.

You must have synched your phone with his iTunes account. The iPhone can only be synched with one iTunes account at a time. You need to synch your phone on a computer that has YOUR iTunes account. Then all the current data on your phone (your brother's data) will be erased and replaced with your own data.

Welcome to the Apple community.
iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

Use the Office for Mac and ignore using Parallels for that. If you have PC only apps you have to run that are MS Windows only then consider Parallels. Just transfer your main PC, using Migration Assistant. If you don't know how then simply read over Pondini's article called Lion or Mountain Lion Setup Assistant tips and look for the section on migrating from a PC. Millions have done what you are about to, it's far from leading edge these days, if you go to an Apple Store to purchase they will offer this as a service, something you might be interested in.
