Site template changes not reflecting in new the already created site

I couldn’t figure it out myself how to use site template to modify the existing site created from the site template
So here is the simplified scenario...
I created a Site on Dev. SharePoint 2010, added a couple of SPD workflows, customized lists and views etc. Presented the functionality to the Stakeholders and it was accepted.
Now the Site will be used as a template and many instances of this Site will be created using these settings (template), so I just went ahead and saved the Site as a template.
Deployed the Site template to the live environment by deploying the .wsp file, and activated it on the desired site collection.
THE PROBLEM I'M FACING IS IN THE CHANGE MANAGEMENT: i.e. now the sites are being created and at some point in the future there is a suggestion to add functionality or a bug to be fixed.
MY APPROACH: I have created a sample instance of the template. I made all the changes to that template and re-saved it. This way the new sites which are created from that template do have all the fixes and enhancements.
THE PROBLEM: How can I update the existing sites that have already been created, to apply the same fixes and enhancements?

You could look at the Stack Exchange thread that seems to exactly match this question (from
here).
Think about using the features framework, as the closest you can get to updating the template is to update all the features that the said template is based on.
Beyond that, I can't think of anything that might achieve what you're after.

SAP Portal changes not reflect in all the servers without reboot?

Dear SDN Members
We have one sap ep 7.0 eh1 main instance and 4 other portal instances.every time we tranport any portal develpment work such as epa packages, we need to restart all the instances to reflect the new changes.can you please suggest me
a solution if exists to avoid bouncing of all instances when a portal development work is transported.
Why does the changes not reflect in all the servers without the reboot??

actually we have a central portal instance and 4 other portal servers connected through a
load balancer.Any tranport we move to central instance should refelect the changes in all
other portal instances.But we need to restart all the instances to see the new changes.
We are trying to find a solution if availbel which prevents server-restarts after each transport.

Room Template Changes not reflecting

Hi,
I have a Collaboration room template called Community. In that I have the Quick Poll Maintenance iview. I was getting the following error while creating a quick poll. When I try to add an image to a response in the quick poll, it gave me portal error. This was happening only inside the Collaboration room and not outside. Then I changed the mapping of the property PathToImages for the iview in the template to private_docs_path and saved the template.
Now the error does not come in the new rooms that I create with this template. But the old rooms are still having the problem. Any idea why?
Alos, for my old room the template is being displayed as Community_&VER&22 and for new rooms is Community_&VER&28. Is there any way to synchronize the the template versions?

Hi,
which version of the portal are you using?
Starting with NW04 SPS 17 / NW04s SPS8, you can transfer changes from the template to existing rooms. Before these releases, this is not possible. Please have a look at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/44/168eb1c3641a75e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm

Adobe Camera Raw changes not reflecting in Premiere Pro

I was super excited to try out the new CNDG support in Premiere Pro CC 2014, but I have to be honest - I am a bit disappointed...
I am using 16bit Cinema DNG files and the source settings sliders really aren't doing it for me (notice the pink highlights)
That's alright though, I would much rather use Adobe Camera Raw!
Right click > Edit Original
There we go, that looks nice - no pink highlights, nicely recovered details in the shadows and highlights.
PERFECT, click DONE!
Nothing...For whatever reason, changes are not reflecting.
Adobe - please allow us to use Adobe Camera Raw, there are so many folks out there that want to incorporate it into their workflow. I have tried SpeedGrade and various other color correcting tools and I have found Adobe Camera Raw to work the best IMHO

Sorry, but Premiere Pro does not have a camera raw importer. You adjust the settings in the Source Settings dialog box instead (for RED, ARRI Raw, BMCC and BM Pocket Camera DNG files). You do have access to some controls for these formats, but in some cases, Camera Raw has more controls.

Cinema DNG from the Blackmagic Cameras are supported, you just adjust settings in Source Settings, as I mentioned. Have you tried that? The reasoning behind this is that Cinema DNG video coming from camera raw is too difficult to playback and edit with.
That said, some users bring Cinema DNG footage to After Effects, adjust the video there, then render out files that are suitable to edit with.

You can always make a request here: http://adobe.ly/feature_request, however, I don't see a camera raw importer going into Premiere Pro any time soon (if ever) because of the reasons I previously mentioned (editing with camera raw would be too cumbersome). I think the more realistic feature request would be to add more controls in Source Settings.

Condition type in contract not reflecting on to the PO release

Hi All,
I have a contract wherein i have two condition types which are set i.e. PB00 and ZM07. Now i've made some changes and removed ZM07 and instead put ZM05.
This new condition type (ZM05) is not reflecting on to the PO already released or on to the new line items that are being added to the already existing PO's. Kindly let me know what/where to change to effect ZM05 on the line items of release orders.

One thing you could try is the Update button on the item Conditions detail tab. Run the selection for B Carry out new pricing
C Copy manual pricing elements and redetermine the others
"B" is pretty good for adding in new condition types that are added after the PO has been created.

Changes not reflecting in JSP page

Recently we upgraded our server from orion to oc4j.When on the client side any changes were made in the java bean
its not reflecting immediately in the corresoponding jsp page or the application. We tried to look at all angels like class file in web-inf its changing there.The changes are taking place only after restarting the server. Pl give us valuable suugestion

It is correct that the change in the JavaBean is not taking effect until you restart the server (as far as I know anyway).
If you are using version 9.0.4 or using a version that uses JDP 1.4.x try using the HotSwap tool which can dynamically reload classes on the fly. Excellent tool for development but not sure if it is recommended for a Production environment.
Also, if you are using JDK 1.4.x, try using JDeveloper 10g and it's excellent debugging tools for development, it will swap your classes into the running JVM if the debugger is switched on.

Data type change made to schema.xml of comments list which is part of blog site template is not reflecting in the existing site but working fine when new site is created.

I have created a blog site with the available site template few days back. Now we have the requirement of having the attachments in the body of the comments section.
So, I updated the schema.xml of the comments list available under ../templates/blog/lists/comments/schema.xml to have rich text for the Body field.
With this change, I created a new site and it was working fine. Change is reflected in the new blog site.
However, this particular change is not reflected in the existing blog site. Any changes made to the schema.xml is not effecting the old blog site.
Can anyone suggest what can be done for the change to be reflected in the old blog site?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add attachments in the body of the comments section.
You can add the the Code inside the Default list pages. For more information, you can refer to:
Enable Attachment in SharePoint Blog post list and display the list Attachments
In addition, you can add an enhanced rich text field to the comment list and remove the body field. Then you can insert files into comments, too.

Changes to password are not reflected immediately in the application

Hi All,
If I change the password either from the console or through the application
itself, the change are not reflected immediately. They are reflected when I
shutdown both the admin server and managed server and bring them up. I think
the previous password is cached somewhere. If so, how to refresh it. When I
am changing the programatically ie using
User.changeCredential(oldPassword,newPassword);
I am refreshing the realm by using RealmMBean.refresh() . But it is not
working. Right now i am using default file realm. Can anyone tell what i
am missing here

If your custom user extends DefaultUserImpl then you can update the password
in that instance within the method User.changeCredential(...) as
Construct the userinfo object with the old password
Authenticate the user against the realm with the userinfo -- returns the
customuser
customuser.setCredential( ** new passsword**) (setCredential method of
DefaultUserImpl)
update the file/database

Updated new email & password in itunes but changes not reflected in iphone

I'm using iPhone4 and have updated my new email address and got a new password in my itunes account but the changes are not reflected in my iPhone so i cannot purchase apps with the iphone, only when connected to the store on my computer. Please tell me how I fix this problem?

PO changes not reflecting in the SAP R/3 system in Extended classsic

I have a querry regards to deletion of a PO line item in Extended classic scenario Version 5.0. User has deleted the line item in the shopping cart and now the status of the shopping cart is with Zero value and line item deleted, but in the PO there is a line item with some Value and we are trying to delete it and save it, it gets deleted and PO status it shows as awaiting approval. but at the Item level of the PO the check box of Item deletion is updated. which means PO line item is deleted.
Now my querry is the status of the PO in the SRM shows a awaiting approval and this is not in approval tab but at the header level when I try to search the PO with PO display/change option. Also its not reflecting with the deleted item in R/3 system.
Please help me.

Check configuration of your Message server. check if your message server is configured properly. Just go to your SAP logon. Select the system say "DEV" and click on groups.Then Click on System id and enter the id as "ID1" in your case.
and then enter the machine name in the message server box and then click on generate list. If your message server is configured correctly you would get some groups in the list below. only if that comes then go to SLD and check in the ABap technical system if you have configured technical system using the proper logon groups.
Then you should not face this problem. Let me know if you require more information.

Changes are not reflecting while executing the SAP script from report

In SAP-script we are nmaking changes in form in client 130
it is showing the changes in 140 client but while excuting the report the same are not reflecting in the output.

Hello.
Scripts are mandant depentant. So you must copy from 130 to 140 for changes take efect.
Do it in transaction SE71 in mandant 140, first screen, in the menu options.
And never forget to activate it in all mandants.

DreamWeaver Template change not updating children webpages?

Hi Group,
Sorry for my newbie question here.
I loaded an HTML webpage, and saved it out as a DreamWeaver Template file.
I then created webpages from the template file (( File - New - Page From Template - Site - Template), and made sure that the "Update Page when Template Changes" check box was selected/checked.
I then created several chldren webpages, and saved them as .html files.
I decided to change the navbar system - part of the uneditiabel region in the template - by opening the template file and edit-ing that file, and then saving it as the same DreamWeaver template file.
However, the webpages did Not Update to reflect the navbar changes in the template fle !??!???
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I believe it is something that I'm doing incorrectly with DreamWeaver ..

Additional Info:
No -I haven't been able to get the DW Template feature to work on other sites - this is my first application of it to a website (actually it's the whole reason for getting DreamWeaver... I know it works, I know that I'm doing something wrong.. I just don't know what it is...)
All the .HTML files (index.html, cad.html, cam.html, etc. etc.) are in the website's root directory.
The Template file is in its own sub-directory folder named "Templates".
Right now even the .css file is in the root directory....

Template changes not applying in Edit Region

I created a template - 3 tables - the top & bottom table
are NOT editable regions. The middle table IS in an editable
region. On the template I changed the table in the middle region -
changed the background color, deleted a cell, added a picture
placeholder, etc. Also on the template I made changes to the top
& bottom tables. When I saved the template it asked if I wanted
to change all the pages that use this template - I said yes. But
only the changes made to the sections NOT in the editable region
update!!!
Sidenote: I took a Dreamweaver class in August 2006 (fab!)
but went and had a baby and am now FINALLY sitting down to develop
a few new sites. Prior to that I was a self-taught FrontPage user
(ugh). Point is: I'm a novice Dreamweaver user (and rusty no less!)
so forgive me if I'm missing something REAL basic here!

No, changing the EDITABLE regions in the child pages would
defeat the
point of a template.
Look at it this way. The template manages all the stuff that
is NOT
in the editable regions. You put the site header, footer,
navigation,
sidebar, whatever doesn't change, into the areas that are NOT
editable.
The editable region sits as a container on each child page to
hold the
stuff that is unique to the page.
If you changed that container in the template and the change
propagated down to the child pages, you would immediately and
permanently LOSE ALL YOUR UNIQUE PAGE CONTENT.
However, if you were using CSS to style everything, then all
you would
have to do is change the colour in the CSS file - and no
matter where
the targeted piece is, it would reflect the change.
