Skills marketplace - announce availability

I'd like to make the following suggestion for Skills Marketplace:
Provide an "Announce Availability" section, where oracle professionals - permanent and contract - announce availablity for their next job. Details would include availability date, primary skills and certifications, experience level, geographies, desired work type, and contact information. Prospective employers, hirers and agents can search on these attributes.

Azure marketplace "not available in" united states

I tried to use the Azure Marketplace and got the error, "The subscriptions you selected are not currently available for purchase in your region. Additionally, the Marketplace is not available to users with some Enterprise Agreements or Azure in Open
subscriptions. For more information, click
here."
I am in the United States in New England. Are they incorrectly inferring my location from IP? I'm a customer of Frontier (because they bought my AT&T U-verse division).
I'm not sure what an "azure open" subscription is but I know I don't have an enterprise agreement. I just have two separate, normal pay-as-you-go subscriptions.

It appears to me that your subsciption for Marketplace might be set to an un supported region. I request you to follow the steps below to change the region:

This is the ugliest phone Samsung has produced. 1. Non removable battery and went from 2800 with the S5 to 2550 with the S6!!!! Really don't think the battery is going to be long life. 2. 16 mp camera 3. no SD card (that's so people will pay more for 64 gb and up) 4. As you can tell, looking on the web, you don't see people demonstrating with the dark colors, they are fingerprint magnets with glass being on back. Very disappointed with this one and I am normally a Galaxy S person. If I edge up this year, sure won't be the S6.

Skills Marketplace Profiles not reviewed

Greetings.
I've been trying to activate a profile on the OTN Skills Markeptplace area, apparently hosted by Dice.com.
The instructions on the page indicated that my profile would be "unavailable for a few minutes" while some content is checked. This was well over a week ago, and the page still indicates that my profile is "under review" and not activatable.
I tried generating a second profile, again the profile seems to remain "under review".
How can I get this activated - do not want to miss out on any opportunities?

I am having the similar problem, it has been more than a month, I have posted my resume, but it is not showing up in the activate profile drop down list. So I created another profile still having the same problem.

Where is the download center? I moved my curosr to the word "Downloads" under "Sun Developers Network (SDN)" and a drop down menu appears. I appreciate your appreciation for the bug reports and feedback, but can you write a little note in the form of a reply to the thread which reports a bug saying that it is now fixed in 4.2.0 released on July 30? That would really help in the future when people research (seemingly) related problems and hit the thread upon a search. And that certainly helps the person who reports the bug because now he/she knows he/she should rush to download this new release to get the job done. I would say that's the best form of appreciation in addition to actually fixing the bug.

I couldn't get SAS8 to install using JRE 5. I have, however, succeeded in getting an application client to run with the latest JDK. If the client and server JRE differ, you've got to assign a serialVersionUID to any custom classes that will be passed back and forth.

Announcement Iview suited for a role

Hi ,
I would like to have an announcements iview within a custom role.
I had initially thought of using the announcements available in Collaboration
rooms , but that cannot be used here because the parameters have to be
mapped for the room , which does not seem possible here (or can it be used ???? )
XML forms is a good option, but I would like a simpler way,
something similar to the announcement section in rooms where user
can add announcements easily . Could someone suggest a good option.
Also can room content iviews be used for these roles..

I am unable to log into the Sprout Marketplace. Whenever I enter my email and password, it says my registration is not complete (even though I've completed it). When I click "Resend Confirmation Email", I never receive the confirmation email.

How to restore broken links after server migration in Indesign CS3???

Hi All,
I have used my google skills to no avail and everything I have read here has been a dead end for me. I can't be the only person in this situation, so hopefully someone can help!
My marketing department has reached the storage limits of our shared network drive. Located on this drive is our (HUGE) image library which acts as a single central respository serving up our indesign links (read here: we don't package files - to conserve space). We have decided that in an effort to create a true archive and have more space for our image library we need to migrate the library to a new 16 terabit Drobo (yay!).
The problem is that every INDD file that links to the current library will now suffer from broken links. We literally have hundreds of INDD files and thousands of links. The good news is...the file structure isn't changing at all! Just the server location is changing. Is there any way to to a batch update of the links that tells INDD to look for the exact same file path on a different drive?
In short:
current image library (old server): marketing/image library/photos/products/multiple product folders
new image library (new server): drobo/image library/photos/products/multiple product folders
I want to point InDesign to the new server and have it pick up the file path without having to navigate to each and every file individually. Voila!
Is this even possible? Is there any 3rd party software to help? Other architechture solutions that might be suggested?

You can just copy a part of the path in Links panel and paste it to the script's dialog. In CS4, make sure to choose "Copy Platform Style Path" in context menu.
The case of the characters doesn’t matter: you can type both in upper and lowercase in the script's dialog. For example — Test, test, TEST, TeSt — are all the same for the script.

Upgrade from SAP R/3 4.6C to SAP ECC 6.0

Dear All,
Our organisation has been running SAP R/3 4.6C on Solaris 8 with Oracle 8i database. We are considering an upgrade to SAP ECC 6.0.
I have already checked the SAP Marketplace (Product Availability Matrix) and found that SAP R/3 4.6C first needs to be upgraded to mySAP ERP 2004 (SAP ECC 5.0) and then from SAP ECC 5.0 to SAP ECC 6.0.
My first question is whether I am on the right track.
Secondly, I was going through various SAP Upgrade strategies and curious to know the difference between technical upgrade and functional upgrade.
Please correct me if I am wrong - technical upgrade is when you technically upgrading the SAP ECC release from 4.6C to 5.0 (that is, upgrading Operating System, Database and ECC).
Once it has been completed, business processes (functional modules) need to be remapped. The development needs to be reworked upon (Modification Adjustment). This is what is known as functional upgrade.
I would appreciate if someone throws some light on my understanding on this subject.

Oh.. you're aware of the fact, that Oracle 8 as well as Solaris 8 is out of support?
I would do it like (if you need/want to stay on the same hardware):
- upgrade Oracle 8 (I hope your run 8.1.7.4) to Oracle 9.2.0.8
- upgrade Solaris 8 to Solaris 10
- upgrade Oracle 9.2.0.8 to Oracle 10.2.0.4 + latest interim patches
- use kernel 46D_EX2
- upgrade the 4.6c to ERP 6.0
Be aware, that, if you plan to use Java applications (such as the Enterprise Portal or other Netweaer related appliation), the ERP 6.0 must be converted to Unicode.

After installing Project Server 2013 (without updating SharePoint Server 2013 SP1))

I am facing the problem while opening project web app. I configured the SharePoint 2013 and project server 2013. Here is the detail what I performed the steps:
OS Server 2012 R2, SQL Server 2012, SharePoint server 2013 version
15.0.4420.1017, Project Server 2013 version
15.0.4454.1000. SharePoint configured and running successfully. After project web app site provisioning successfully completed. I got the below error.
Microsoft.Office.Project.PWA.WebParts.PWAPart' from assembly 'Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.PWA, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' cannot reduce access.
I run this psconfig -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait -force. But still getting same error.
Previous steps:
Earlier I had also tried to install SharePoint Server 2013 SP1 "3823428". After the installation SP1 some of sharePoint site features suddenly stopped e.g: Cannot browse "Service Applications -->
Manage service applications" option even after re-start the server. This was previous error after upgrading SP1

For SP2013 and PS2013 to work properly on Windows Server 2012 R2 you need to use the SP1 install media for both, download SharePoint 2013 with SP1 and Project Server 2013 with SP1

Oracle 8i Release 2 (8.1.6)

I am getting annoyed by this whole delay thing. On February 16 Oracle Corp. announced that 8.1.6 will be available within 30 days. Now, those 30 days are over and Oracle didn't explain anything. It would definitely be nice of them to tell us what the delay was all about and when can we expect the proper version to be shipped. In addition to that, they should either confirm or deny that IBM JDK 1.1.8 is the new official JDK required, so that we can prepare ourselves. My question is why did they announce availability if they did not intend to keep the dates? Why didn't they say anything? Do they have us for fools?

"When we put out that release we were 99% done with the product and awaiting a fix to what we thought was a minor Java issue with our new installer. It took IBM (our new JRE vendor for Linux) over 10 days to isolate the issue to a Linux glibc library call. It took Red Hat's top guys a week to isolate the problem to an Oracle call to the OS. We know know where the problem is and are writing the fix. This should take a couple of days followed by a full build and test. I expect around 10-14 days before it is on OTN for download. Sorry for the delay."
