Skype Manager account possibly created?

Hello.  I just signed up for a Skype account and I wanted to sign up for a free account.  I looked on the page and it looks like I may have accidentally signed up for a Skype Manager account without meaning to.  I signed on to the Skype messenger and everything looks like it's for a free account.  I do not want any premium services on the account whatsoever.  Could someone from Skype please check into this for me?

Hi, Calrkuc,
Only Skype Customer Service can review the account and advise if what was created is a Skype Manager configuration or a regular Skype account.  Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
A few extra notes:
You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Then, continue past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the blue "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). You may also skip through Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started. When you complete the webform and click Submit, your information is relayed to Skype, and you will receive a reply to the account's registered e-mail address.

  • Switching users between Skype manager accounts?

My project was recently moved from Ireland to NY, and as a result some of our employees set up on a Skype Manager account through our Ireland office have had their credit balance deleted.  The administrator for those accounts no longer works with my company. We are thinking about creating a new Skype Manager account through our NY office; would it be possible to switch the existing users on the old account to the new one?

Hello MCarlson. I believe you're asking to take a user off of a Skype Manager account. It's fairly easy, goto the Managaer Account using the users name incharge of it. In the top right corner you want to click Account > Account Details > Delete this Skype Manager. If this is what you were looking for, I hope it helps. But if not, message back and I'll find another solution to your problem.

  • Manage multiple Skype Manager accounts

I am already the administrator of a Skype manager account but i want to set up another Skype manager account for another company I control using my existing skype profile? is this possibile?
If that is not clear, then what I want to achieve is to have one personal profile managing 2 seperate Skype manager accounts!

    No, that's not possible.
One single Skype account can only be a member (administrators are members as well) of maximum 1 Skype Manager group.

  • Can't seem to find my skype manager account

Help!I haven't been on my skype manager  account in a few months - and now I don't see it at all? how can I access it?please help!thanks,Mary

You answered my first question indirectly.  You presumably are using Time Machine to bacup your Mac to the Time Capsule.  Feel free to confirm that explicitly.
You ignored my second question: "What are the exact steps you're doing to try to find them?"
iMovie projects are normally kept in the "Movies" folder at the top level of your user account.  Unless you specifically excluded that folder, it should have been backed up by Time Machine.

  • Skype Manager Online Number/Business Account Confu...

Could someone kindly explain to me what is happening.
I registered a Skype manager account & tried to add an online number to it. However the system informed me that: "Online Numbers are only available to members with business accounts." and wanted me to create a new "Business Account".
I thought I had just created one & did not want to create another account so there was a link to: http://www.skype.com/go/business.online-number clicked on that & it allowed me to purchase a number for this account. But now in business manager it is showing "Online Numbers" as 0 even though the account that now has an online number is integrated with Skype Manager. Thanks for your input!

Exactly. I have invested a small fortune trying to set up a Skype Business Account with a set of telephone numbers. Now the whole business has disappeared. telphone numbers and all.

  • How can I add a new user to my managed account?

*There is an existing skype user.  i.e She already has a skype account
*I have a Skype Manager account and want to provide her with SkypeCredit
*I am having trouble doing that.  It seems that I can add a new member to my group only if they are a new user (i.e. they get a new skype address). Then I seem to have learned that this might not be possible if I or they (?) are in the US.
    Will someone clarify this?
    Skype support tells me that:
"Reymark C: I am afraid adding members in somewhere in US is no longer available."
Is this somewhere on the help pages that I missed.  Being logged-in, skype knows where I am (or where I list my home as).  Why did it let me waste so much time struggling with this?
Also, why is there this restriction?
    ...after much other talk.....
L JEPSON: Question: Can I add skype credit to another person's account?
Reymark C: That;s only possible once he is already added to your manage account.
L JEPSON: You said I cannot add members in the US.
Reymark C: Those are only possible outside US.
L JEPSON: So I can not add anyone to my manager account, b/c I am in the US, correct?
Aside, why can't the skype support use skype-screenshare?  I wanted to show what I saw.  Instead, we had me sign some online contract, gave control of my computer to the support person.  Spent a fair amount of time doing this.   Enable your users to use skype to see our screens, please, Microsoft.  You can still record the conversation and record the screenshare, can't you?

  • Joining a Skype manager group

How do I join a skype manager group? Do I need to create my own skype manager account?

    All,
Are you just saying they have to exist in the RPD group membership to start, and then they can add themselves to the Presentation Catalog?
The documentation suggests knowing the group password allows you to join the catalog group. Otherwise, what's the point of the feature?
The documentation certainly suggests any user who knows a Catalog Group password can join it. Is this an error in the documentation then?

  • SKYPE Manager has left company

The (sole) administrator for our companies SKYPE Manager account has been made redundant and left the company.
Is it possible to promote someone else in the account to administrator so they can remove the previous admin and take over the running of the account?  And if so how?
    Many thanks.
    Guy.

  • Skype Manager management?

It appears someone obtained access, however that happened, to a Skype account I hadn't used for quite some time (~2 years, could be more) and added it to a Skype Manager account. At least that's how I understand the tech behind it, correct me if I am wrong, please.
My issue now, is to understand how to remove my Skype account from this manager account and what steps I have to take to prevent fraudulent use of this account.
A number of side-questions pertaining to this, if I may...
My Skype account was unused since 2009, possibly longer than that. The password I'd used was not shared and not easily guessed. To date as then the system Skype was used from wasn't an "open" system and I am not in the habit of running systems without audit trail (no, I am not a "security expert", just a very paranoid person). The addition of my account to this Skype Manager, now, confuses me. Did this happen as a result of the compromise of the Skype account or did it happen inversely, the compromise as a result of having been added to the Manager account?

I have just discovered that my Skype account has been hacked and someone has clocked up several hundred dollars in calls!
There doesn't appear to be a way to contact Skype about this or anything else for that matter.
    Do I have any recourse?
Is there any way to contact Skype about this?
Pretty strange way to run a business.....

  • Removing Skype Manager/Emptying Credit

Several years ago (2010) shortly after opening my Skype account, my account was 'compromised' by a fairly typical scam where my account was enrolled in a Skype Manager account, and an unkown person attempted a deposit/chargeback that resulted in a block on my account.
I've sorted this out, deposited Skype credit, and used my account normally since then.
My problem is this: I'm still somehow part of Skype Manager and Admin of a 1 member group that I don't want to be in. I can't remove myself because I have 0.01GBP left in credit that I can't drain (not enough to make a call to anywhere that I'm aware of), and Skype doesn't have any method for me to transfer or delete credit. I want out of Skype Manager because frankly I have no use for it and leaving it around only leaves me susceptible to another possible scam. What can I do?

Hi, MooseJC, and welcome to the Community,
I found these articles in the FAQ library which I thought might be helpful:
    https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12063/how-do-i-release-an-account-from-skype-manager?
    https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10542/can-i-delete-my-skype-manager?frompage=search&q=end+Skype+M...
Since it sounds like your account started as a personal account, I doubt this FAQ article would apply, but I included it anyway for background information:
    https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA559/how-do-i-remove-members-from-my-skype-manager?
Hope this helps.  My next step would be to contact Skype customer service

  • Destination Numbers redacted in Skype Manager Repo...

Anyone else notice that the destination numbers for members' usage reports now have the last few digits starred out?  Any ideas as to why this was changed?  Previously when I generated usage reports for my users, the full number was listed on the report.

Here's the text of what I received from Customer Service when I requested a copy of the download -
//Following your chat support session with *******, we're here to address further your issue with regard to downloading usage reports on your Skype Manager account.
First, we are very sorry to see what a hassle it has been for you in trying to download the usage reports on your Skype Manager account. We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause. Again, we are aware of this problem and are working hard on fixing it as soon as possible.
In line with that, we certainly understand how urgent this matter, however, downloading usage reports can only done on your Skype Manager account and there's no possible way for us to do this on our end.
Thus, what we may suggest is for you to try it again on your end using different browsers, while our specialized team are working hard in resolving this issue.
Now, to compensate the hassle and inconvenience that this matter has caused you, please accept the following voucher with our deepest apologies.
You can redeem the voucher here:
    https://secure.skype.com/store/voucher/redeem
Once again please accept our sincerest apologies, and we thank you for your patience and understanding//
    Here's what I wrote back -
//Thank you for letting me know that you are working on this issue.  I cannot possibly emphasize any more than I already have the point that reporting is a critical management tool that impacts our business bottom line and our employees' incentive and compensation formulation.
So, when you say that downloading reports can only be done on my Skype Manager account and there's no possible way for you to do this on your end, then it really pains me to point out that you may not possess a fundamental understanding of how your own system works.
Reporting and downloading has worked just fine up until the 15th of this month.  Somebody changed something without doing the requisite testing, but I digress.  Without compromising any of your hardworking support people, let me tell you without qualification, that I was able to obtain the requested reports from your customer service and I was able to use it, albeit I had to perform quite a bit of editing so that the format meets our local system requirement.
So maybe, with all due respect, you should simply tell it like it is.  "You're not gonna make us (Skype) do any extra work to mitigate the unfortunate situation we (Skype) put you in, but here have a voucher and be happy with that." or "Due to some pending litigation that we can't discuss with you, we are absolutely forbidden from providing you relief from the unfortunate situation we have placed you." or something to that effect.
In the meantime, let me thrash about and figure out a way to do what I have to do.  Please do keep me posted and don't take this personally.  This is not about you.//
DISCLAIMER - I am just venting!!!!  And yes, I tried other browsers . . . Maxthon, Safari, Firefox, and Chrome, all with the same results.
As a side note, the user accounts we have were all set up by the administrator and are not personal accounts.  The individual user, does not currently have access to or cannot currently view the dialog box that would allow the user to agree to let the administrator view and download usage data, etc. which the administrator has been able to do up until the 15th of this month.

  • Ejected my self out of my Skype Manager group

    hello.
i forgot my skype manager admin user password and requested a new one. in that process by some reason one of the skype members saw a notification that my admin user has left the group. and when i now login to my skype manager account its empthy. my user which was only admin in the group is now effectly alone and all the users are in the group unmanageable.
how can i fix this, and how on earth did this happen. i just requested new password link and followed it....

If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know that account password, the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise, boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    resetpassword
That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but you won't be able to unlock the Keychain. If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it. You’ll need to reset your keychain in the preferences of the Keychain Access application.
