SLD required or Not for WebDynpro

I want to develop an application using Web Dynpro on SAP ECC 6.0
I want to know, do i require to configure SLD and does it need to be installed saperately or it comes with the Package

You need SLD with WebDynpro only when you are creating and using Adaptive RFC Model-s. If you are accessing back-end via plain JCo, or through EJB-s, or just direct calls to DB then you do not need SLD.
SLD is integral part of SAP NetWeaver, you do not need aditional licences to use it.

It depends on your CUMC (mobile communictor) version.
If it's pre-7.x version, BES is not required. ASA is required.
If it's 7.x version BES is required. ASA is not required.
Of course, the new version has more feaures (such as DVO - dial via office).

Required backend patches for Webdynpro ESS

I am preparing to apply self service patches as per note #761266. The SAP ECC5.0 support package level is listed as a prerequisite. When I look into my R/3 system there are a number of support packs, none of which is named ECC5.0. Can anyone tell me which ones specifically I need to update?

(there are many others, but these seem like the most likely candidates)

On Service Marketplace, they have SP Stacks. Look at the MySAP ERP stack. For example, we are on stack 06 released in February. The stack provides the SP for each component are not consistently numbered.
The SPs in a stack have been tested by SAP.

Requirements are not fulfilled for condition PI01

Dear SD guru,
        When i create sales order,it prompt that 'Requirements are not fulfilled for condition PI01'.
          For the specifical requirement,i use the intercompany processing.I want two invoices in this sale document,onr for customer,the other for internal processing.So i need two condition types for two price,i use the condition type ZABC&PI01(for internal) in the pricing procedure.But,when i create sales order under the configuration,it failed.
      How can i solve the problem?

We need to change the condition class from prices to other like discount or surcharge in the condition type.
For ex: If it is shipment cost document got to goto T_06 select the required condition and change the condition class and do not select grouping conditions..

Need help for webdynpro requirement.

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to design the webdynpro application.
First i have to create a layout(view).In that view we create a input fileds as Document id and Component repository id.
When we pass these two id's then click on the getdata button.
Now we want display the Total No of pages and Each page as a tab,logo and header details.
After that when user click on first page tab it will shows the first page informatio.
next when user click on second page it shows second page info...up to 10 pages.
Entire these process will be on same view.
and one more doubt how to cut the trace area into multiple parts?
what iam doing is i have to disply the input fileds in one trace element ares and display the output what i mentioned above in second trace area.
i want Separate page numbers as a tab at left side in second trace area.
At second trace area ontop display the logo and header details.
next display the total number of pages .
and left side display the each page as a tab.(one by one).
next we can click on any page it shows the particular information about that page.
How to use the frameui element?
Please try to help me...............

each house bank you can find in table T012, in T012K you'll find the bank accounts to the housebank, the G/L account will be in T012K-HKONT.

Requirements are not fulfilled for condition EDI1

Hi Gurus,
We are trying to add (EDI1 confirmed qty) in the PO item conditions.
We are using the standard PO schema which has these condition type. It has no access sequence attached to it and hence it is a manual entry.
If we try to add that condition type in the PO it throws me the following error :
"Requirements are not fulfilled for condition EDI1
Message no. V1215"
Kindly let me know what I have to maintain at the earliest.

You incorrectly filling item information with condition value. All quotation related pricing need to pass QUOTATION_CONDITIONS_IN table paramete of BAPI.
Try it and the problem get solved.

How to create requirement for BOM, not for its components?

Dear gurus,
I have never worked in PS module before. Now I have the following task:
There is Project, Network and WBS. I inserted material for operation in WBS and exploded the material.
Now the system must create requirement for this material but NOT for components of BOM. How can I configure the system?
P.S. We don't use MRP and we can't change Material Master Data.

I am still in the return window but i really do not want to return my mac as i know it has the ability to do what i want, my problem is just finding the software that will work as i know there has been a lot of complications with OS X Mountain Lion with softwares that caim to be compatible but then later turn out not to be.
I have been a windows user for years and this is really my first mac but apart from the hole software issue i find the mac 10x better than any windows computer i have ever used. For example i bought a HP laptop 4 weeks ago and has nothing but problems. At first the fans stopped working and making weird noises and then it began switching off when ever it felt like it and freezing like mad when i was trying to access the smallest program. I have found that now a days you dont get what you pay for with Windows especially since Windows 8 was released. Also Laptops such as HP now are just crammed with cheap parts, they dont take pride in their systems like they once used to unlike Apple. I know i will get more than a year or 2 out my mac (hopefully a lot more) but with windows systems it just seems to break all the time costing more money on extending warrantys. Also i like mac because i dont need to send it away if i ever get a problem, i can just take it into the apple shop half a mile down the road and they will fix it in store. Where as with windows i am waiting 2 weeks+ to just hear back from them.

NWDS does not open Webdynpro Component's Data Modeler

All of a sudden my kindly Tool does not open any of the Component's Data Modeler for Mapping attributes. It happened all of a sudden. I cleaned everything and reinstalled from a proper software.
If any one has a solution kindly let me know or if you can direct me to appropriate forum or Weblog to recover it will be a great help.

Starting the Tool

ESS System creation required or not

Hi All,
For ESS Configuration(XSS 600 sp13, ESS_BP1.0) in portal 7.0 , does the creation of system (SAP_WebDynpro_XSS )from system administration->system configuration is required or not? Portal,XSS,ESS_BP all are on same J2EE Stack, I am asking this because in the ess iview i didnot found the system propery which used to be there with value "SAP_WebDynpro_XSS " for earlier versions.Now I am not seeing the system property, so how does the iview is identifying where the webdynpro applications are running.
One more question on the execution flow of ess, when we click ESS tab in portal, the iview overviewpage launches the XSSMenu webdynpro application and the result is building the ess overview page in portal by reading the homepage framework from backend,from next time when we click specific service from ess overviewpage for example address application, then whats happening does it reading the img config again or it has in memory from the first call and knows which iview it has to invoke and which webdynpro application.

In other words what are the process steps taking place
1) on clicking the ESS tab in portal displays overviewpage in portal with areas,subareas,services.
2)on clicking service link ilike address in portal ess overviewpage displays address application in iview in a page.
On the above two steps can you tell the interaction between nw04s portal7.0 and backend ECC6.0
I think for first step the overview iview calls the webdynpro XSSMenu application with parameters which generates overviewpage in portal by reading hompage configuration.
what about second step on clicking the service link of address application does it reads the homepage configuration again or uses from session which it got from first step and the address iview launches address webdynpro application?

transfer of cost from sub item to main item is configured in the delivery to billing copy control for the main item. go to VTFL > select the required item cateogry > here at the bottom you will find a check box Cummulate cost. Tick it.
Not really what you meant COPA purposes. But the pricing conditions are mapped to COPA value fields at KE4I transaction.

Change in start date of tax depreciation not for posting in mid of year

Hi Experts,
Tax depreciation area is not for posting. The fiscal year is from Jan to Dec. I want to calculate tax depreciation from May 2011 based on Net Book Value of tax depreciation as on 30.04.2011. But once I change the start date of tax depreciation in asset master to 01.05.2011, the system ignores the previous depreciation so I am not getting the NBV of tax depreciation of 30.04.2011.
Is any setting is required to get this. I can not do changes in posting rules since this tax depreciation is not for posting any thing.
The fiscal year 2010 is closed and NBV of tax depreciation as on 31.12.2010 of one asset is 80000, If I change the start date of tax depreciation from 1.1.2011 then system correcly take NBV of 31.12.2010 for further depreciation calculation. But if i change the start date of depreciation in between of year the system is calculating depreciation based on NBV of 31.12.2010 but ignores the tax depreciation from 1.1.2011 to 30.04.2011, which I previously run using AFAB.
Need your assistance to know is it feasible to do this.

The behaviour of the system is very much correct, it is designed to behave that way...
One, you should not have changed the dep start date....
two, NBV in SAP is always taken to be NBV @ the start of the year....
The best wayout I can suggest here is, if you are on EhP4 and EA-FIN active
a. Change the Dep Key in the asset... You can maintain Time Dependant Dep Terms in asset master i.e. Dep Key X from Jan-Apr and Dep Key Y from MAy onwards
b. This will however, calculate dep based on NBV at the start of the year, but based on new useful life
c. Considering your eg: The system is posting more depreciation i.e. 5333 instead of 5155.... So, calculate this amount outside the system and post a Manual Write up ABZU inorder to reduce the Dep and increase the NBV
Even if you are on not on EhP4, you can follow the same approach as above.... i.e.
a. Change the Dep Key in asset master.... This will throw up new dep figure, on the basis of New Useful life and NBV at the start of the year
b. Post a write up from ABZU....
No need to do Asset to asset transfer in my opinion
Only diff between EhP4 and Non EhP4 is that the differential depreciation would be lesser if you are on EhP4... i.e. instead of 5333 now, system may throw up depreciation amount of 5666.. So, you may need to post write up of 5666-5155

An SLD system has not been assigned to logical system TEC101

Hello all
We are trying to send an message RFC or IDOC from our SRM (5.0) system to the XI (7.0). But we allways get the error
"An SLD system has not been assigned to logical system TEC101". In the SLD the system is visible, sldcheck works.
Does anyone know this problem and can give me a hint how to fix this problem?

Hi Stefan,
Is there a technical & Business System for SRM5.0 in SLD? If entry exists then confirm if the logical system name mentioned in Business System is TEC101.
If entry does not exist in SLD for SRM, then in SRM run t-code
1) SLDAPICUST .. Enter relevant details
2) RZ70 : Give XI Server details , activate and then Execute.
Once you do that you can see entry for SRM in SLD.
After that try running the schenario again.
