Slicers don't show any values (Excel 2010)

Hi all,
my slicers on a pivot table (originating from a SSAS Cube) don't show any values at all. Nothing. I've tested it with all available dimensions of the SSAS cube.
If i disconnect the cube and use "hard" values it works without any problem. With hard values from other sheets and integrated pivots it works totally fine. Just the live-connection to the cube is causing these problems. It also doesn't work with
the standalone slicers.
Does anybody have an idea how to solve the issue?

Thank you for your feedback, but I've solved the issue by now.
Apparently, the empty slicers resulted from a setting in the defaultmember propery in the SSAS cube itself. When i tried to update the slicer i've received this error message (but only one time!, the second refresh didnt produce the error message):
"Unable to retrieve information from DIMNAME slicer(s). in some cases, this can be due to a custom value in the DefaultMember property for an attribute of the dimension."
So, afterwards i've set the defaultmember parameter in the respective dimension in the cube to nothing (inserted no value) and reprocessed the cube. Et voilà - it works totally fine.

I am Facing a deadlock situation daily.
I checked the alert.log and it look like this:

I'm reading the documentation and searching on the forum, but until now i can't find anything to help me. Is there any way to see the parameter value?
This is a large database with a lot of users, so I can't trace all of them and wait the deadlock occurs.

Try zapping the PRAM. See KB Article http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11243 OS X Mountain Lion: Reset your computer’s PRAM
If you are still under warranty and/or have AppleCare, call them. Let them deal w/it.

After BPC10.0 Installation, I don't see any values of environment in SPRO

Dear Experts,
I have installed BPC10.0 on Linux SLES10 with DB 11.2 & as per guide, i have completed all the post installations as well.
When I try to login on the web http://<hostname>:<port>/sap/bpc/web, i see a message "You don't have access to any environment.Please contact administrator.
Is this something to do with BPC consultant from here or I have missed out any post installation steps?
Also I checked for Environment parameter under SPRO, which shows no values found.
Please guide me & let me know for any additional information.

Sound is gone. Sound settings don't show any available output. Mute is checked. Cant uncheck

Suddenly, the sound on my Mac is muted. I tried to unmute using the keyboard. I can not. I went to preferences, sound and Output does not show anything available. There is no option for internal speakers or any other sound item. Mute is checked and I can not uncheck. Yesterday sound worked fine.

There are many possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried.
1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article. Don't skip any of the steps. It's the starting point for further efforts to solve the problem.
2. If your model has an audio-out (headphone) port, and anything is plugged in, unplug it before putting the system to sleep.
3. If you've installed an application called "Memory Clean" or any other third-party software that is supposed to "clean" or "purge" memory automatically, remove it according to the developer's instructions and restart. You should do that even if the software is not causing the problem, because it's useless.
4. If you've installed a software equalizer called "Boom" or anything similar, update or delete it and restart.
5. If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes (or from other applications via third-party software such as "Airfoil"), deselect it.
6. Launch the application "Audio MIDI Setup" by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search and selecting it in the results (it should be at the top.) Select the Output tab. If the Mute boxes are checked, uncheck them. Move the Volume sliders all the way to the right.
7. If a red light is coming from the audio-out port, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
8. Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard and mouse, if applicable. If more than one display is connected, disconnect all extra ones. Restart and test.
9. If you have a MacBook Air, turn off Bluetooth and restart.
10. Start up in safe mode. Don't log in; just restart as usual when the login screen appears. When you do, make sure the words "Safe Boot" do not appear in the login screen. If they do, the system is still in safe mode and sound won't work.
11. Reset the NVRAM.
12. Reset the SMC.
13. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data. For a possible shortcut, see this thread.
14. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.

SAP Standard Side Panels don't show any data?

Hiya,
I'm using NWBC 4 (patch 12) on SAP 7.31 (Ehp 6, SP10) and I can't get any of the SAP delivered Side panels to show any data.
This is typical of what I see, the side panel appears but all the data fields are empty:
The charts don't work either(?) and show nothing...
The only part of a side panel that I managed to get to works was in transaction VA03 and it was the chip to show 'company code' data - but that's not going to impress the business when I demonstrate this functionality to show them how great NWBC with side panels is...
Is there something obvious that I'm doing wrong do you think or has anyone else encountered this kind of problem?

My 2 cents ...Either your basis team did not activate the parameter necessary for Side Panel or you have NOT perform the necessary Tagging (aka Wiring).
For the former (parameter), check the parameters setup as explain in the help file below.

If this the is later (i.e. Tagging\Wiring)... That meant that the info from your SAPGUI main screen, has NOT been setup to pass the info to your side panel chip. Some of the standard SAP delivered Side Panel CHIP does requires you to perform your own tagging; and there's a security requirements. So before you start this ... Make sure that you have confirm the parameter had been setup correctly (section above); and you have as much of a security rights as possible.

Help, my new Blog entries, since iLife '08 upgrade, don't show ANY text!

Ever since upgrading to iLife '08, my new Blog entries do not show any of the text once it is uploaded to the server. In fact, all of my recent Blog entries now have all thier text gone when viewed online. Only Blog pages in "Archives" are still normal. What gives?! They all look good in iWeb, but not live. Hi Cedric. I went ahead and took down all recent changes to my site, and then just re-uploaded my last good set-up from iLife 2006. I think iLife 2008 changes how blog pages are addressed. As an example, my two most recent good entries show on the web as:

Notice the long string of numbers, letters, and dashes, after the word /Blog/? My iWeb in iLife 2008 no longer puts those types of strings at the end of /Blog/. Instead, the Blog web entries show as:

I've always used the same fonts, sizes, and colors. But now it's not working. What is weird, however, is that if I did Select All, and Copy and Paste the web page contents onto Notepad...the text IS THERE...just not showing on the web.

BPC 5 MS version -Park and Go Offline Report is not showing any values

Hello Everyone,
I have some reports that I created using EVGTS and EVDES in BPC and need to send to users who are not connected to BPC. I have attempted to save the reports via park and go with the offline option selected so that the report would not be connected to BPC. The users came back to me saying that when they opened the reports all of the cells are showing #Name instead of the values when they open the reports. I have saved the reports to my desktop then closed out of BPC totally and opened the reports in native Excel and they display fine on my desktop. I then sent the offline report to my personal email address and opened it on my laptop which doesn't have a BPC installed on it and I got the same error as my users. We are close to go live and will definitely need to have this functionality working for the reports in Excel to be distributed to a lot of users who are will not have access to BPC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Have you searched on the support site for any notes on this? I have had similar problems, related to specific builds of BPC 5.1 and specific versions of MS Excel.
I'd recommend you file a message with SAP Support, indicating the specific versions of Excel for which the report does work offline (your own machine, apparently) and does not work.
I know that a few BPC versions ago, the park-and-go feature definitely worked when sending the Excel file to a user without the BPC client installed. It's possible that this is no longer true, but I wasn't aware of the change.

Multicolumn does not show any value when I tried to put a value on column 4 or above

When I put a value in column 4 or above ( in any row ) multicolumn listbox doesn't show me any return. I got a example from NI forums and changed it to see if it works , but the results are the same.
Does anyone know about it. I'm using labview 2009 9.0f3

Match code in report selection screen does not show any values for 0FISCPER

maybe I ask different way - how do you add characteristic values for a characteristic in the BEx? Is it automated somehow in SAP (e.g. from master data)? For the fiscal period I use custommer exit to fill in the default value, which is the current fiscal period. But this is something different, right?

Program with sap scripts doent show any values

While executing the program with scripts the output doesnt show values from the database. It simply shows the print preview with '&&' values. Pls help me

Hi,
Check your driver program
1.you should have used OPEN_FORM with correct sap script form name
2.have read the data into internal table and with in the loop-end loop you are calling WRITE_FORM
with the element and the window type shpuld be MAIN to display the data.
(use the same eleemnt in the MAIN WINDOW defined on the form) then only output will be printed.
3.Have used the close form outside the loop-endloop.
Please revert back in case of problem.
PS:main reason can be the use of elements and the window type as I have also faced the same kind of problem.

Hi Lars,
I don't believe there is any option to stop the report once started. In Crystal Report Designer we use the Async option to the database to stop the report query. We send a stop command to the SQL Server to stop processing the SQL. This is only available with DB servers that support Async. You may try that option in code or the report designer but I don't beleive this will work in the viewer. You may even be able to send the action using the DB servers SDK, this you will have to test and research. If you can stop the SQL from processing it should send the partial result set to CR and then give control back to your app. This is only in theory, I have not tried to do so.

Cash Positions report FF7A not showing any values

Hi,
Can someone help on why none of the Tresury Transactions are reflected in FF7A report? I have done all the configuration setting under TM-Gen Settings-Link to Cash Management-Assign Planning Levels for all the Prod Types.
Under FDFD Cash Mgmnt is active for the Co code.
Under OT05 Cash positions is ticked for both BNK and PSK.
Under OT12 respective treasury planning levels are assigned to PSK.

Thanks so much. Its working now. Earlier I had this setting for planning levels at prod type and act category level but was not working then. I did this once again and re looked at settings.
Created TRM source sybol separately
Defined Pl levels to Source Symbols
Defined new Grouping for Treasury as TRM &
in Maintain Structure added E for ++ and G for ++++++++++
