Smart URL functionality

I have read about smart url functionality for Agile version 9.2 and above. I haven't been able to locate any documentation for Oracle Agile 6.1.1 on smart url functionality. Does this functionality exist?

We do have something similar called quick links.   A quick link allows you to link to a specific P4P object.  You can see the full listing for all apps in the extensibility guide in the Quick Links chapter.  Here's an example of a GSM and NPD Project quick link.   the xxxxx placeholder represents the object #.
GSM http://LOCALSITEURL/gsm/getSpecByNum.aspx?SpecNum=xxxxxxx-xxx
NPD Projects http://LOCALSITEURL/npd/MainPage/NPD.aspx?ContentKey=ProjectEditor&Load=xxxxxxx
We don't have a copy URL function from the object itself but this can easily be added with a simple navigation extension and a little javascript.

  • Smart URLS for Agile 9.3.1

    Hi
    I am trying to get the smart url for doc attached to item. I reviewed the SDK documentation. However in 9.3.1 there is no getshortcut menu.
    Also i would like to arrive at the URL by the following method, which the sdk says its possible.
    http://server/Agile/viewer/file/objectname/...etc
    I do not want the GetShortcut link as the URL is going to be generated.
    Anyone have any experience with this?
    thanks

    I would like to do the same to be able to access a parts Manufacturer page from another tool so that all the manyfacturers specs. can be accessed. Doesn't make sense to download all the specs when they are in Agile. The actions->copy URL to clipboard works but it's manual. The SDK says there is a simple URL that follows a standard format but it ends there. It would be nice to find it as a search category or generate it from a common path.

  • Smart Call function

    Hi,
    I have some questions about Oracle CRM on D(Release15).
    I'm trying to appear smart call function.
    Now I could see that function on "Page Layout Management of Task(Appointment) page layout" .
    And I set some settings to appear the smart call function.
    So,I could see smart call function on create "Appointment" page.
    There is a smart call weblink and that is crickable.
    After my crick, there is a error messege,"Access denied.(SBL-DAT-00553)"
    So, I checked settings of some access profiles and roles,
    but I could not found the item to set the smart call function.
    I'm sorry to my poor English. Please help me.
    ==
    Question1,
    Can smart call function use only on Life science Edition??
    Question2,
    Please tell me how to show and make smart call templates.
    ==
    Thank you.
    Yusuke

    Hi,
    You assumption is right that Smart Call option is available in Life Sciences Edition Only. But you can check with Support to see whether they can enable that for your OnDemand instance
    Once you get it enabled, you can place the "Calls" applet under say "Account". Go and create a call and after save in the call detail page you would get an option to save the call as a template for future reference / defaulting of the information
    Hope it helps

    Material: 6-18
    Descriptoin: 6-36

    - Material Description will be displayed directly below the Material on the next line.
    - Item Text: The Item text will be displayed if there are any item texts from the Purchase order. The text will be displayed two lines below the Material description. So there will be one line without any text. Also, the next line-item on the PO form will be displayed  two lines below the item-level text; so there will be only one line with no text between the line-item with text and the subsequent line-item.  Line items 020 and 030 depict this in the “PO Form Outline_v1” document in the attachments section. - For every item in the purchase order, the program should loop through each item and check to see if the “returns item” box is checked (MEPO1211-RETPO). If this box is flagged on the purchase order, then the purchase order form needs to be updated with a return indicator. This indicator can be viewed on ‘line-item 030’ of the attached word document ““PO Form Outline (Single Page)” in the Attachments section.
    - The line-item fields should have the following alignment:
    Material: Left
    Material Description: Left
    Unit: Left
    Qty.: Right
    Date Required: Left
    Unit Cost: Right
    Amount: Right
    - If the line-items do not fit on one page, then they should continue on to subsequent pages. The Header information should be copied to all the subsequent pages and the authorization section will be displayed on the last page as well as the total amount and currency. This example can be viewed in document “PO Form Outline (Multiple Pages)” in the Attachments section.
    Dislclaimer:
    A disclaimer will also be included in this section and after all the line-items. The disclaimer text is still pending. An example of a disclaimer is shown in the “PO Form Outline (Single Page)” after line-item 040. This document can be found in the Attachments section.
    If a PO requires multple pages, the the disclaimer will be displayed on the last page after the last line-item.
    III. Authorization Information
    This section will contain the purchasing agent: The purchasing agent will be the person who created the purchase order. This section will also contain their telephone number and email address.
    The first and last name of the person who created the purchase order should be displayed here. This can be looked up in the users profile. The user profile will also contain their email and telephone number.

  • URL functionality in Web Interface Builder for BPS

    Hi,
    I have web enabled a planning folder and in the Web Interface bulider I am trying to enhance it. The clients requirement is to be able to select a file by clicking on a URL on a shared drive, based on variable selection. The file name is smart coded
    e.g.
    the files may reside in
    shareddrive\
    if the value in variable for version is 100, then the url should be "
    shareddrive\100.xls" and on cliking on this url, the file should open
    if the version value is 200, then the url should be "
    shareddrive\200.xls".
    In the Web Interface builder, I have created subcomponent 'URL'. If I give a fixed path for the URL say "
    shareddrive\100.xls" and clicking on it opens the file.
    I am however unable to parmeterize it. I tried using Javascript in the "Goto URL" attribute, but it doesn't work
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Smart form function modules

    I have a smart form and executing it with standard tcode but I couldnt see the output. How could i view the generated function module and where to assign this.  Help needed immediately.
    Janelle

    In your print program first call the following FM.  Pass the name of your smartform.  It will return the generated FM name.
      CALL FUNCTION 'SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
           EXPORTING
                FORMNAME           = V_FORM_NAME
           IMPORTING
                FM_NAME            = V_FM_NAME
           EXCEPTIONS
                NO_FORM            = 1
                NO_FUNCTION_MODULE = 2
                OTHERS             = 3.
    Now call the returned FM name.
    CALL FUNCTION V_FM_NAME

  • New to AS3 - URL Function not working...please help!

    Hi i'm very new to Flash and AS3. I've created a clip and need to link some buttons to some pages on my site but they don't seem to work. Please let me know if nyone can help me...below is my code:
    b_1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,b_1ClickHandler);
    function b_1ClickHandler(e:MouseEvent)
                navigateToURL(newURLRequest("http://www.MYURL.com/.html"),"_self");
    Please let me know what i'm doing wrong.
    Thanks in advance!

    If you are editing/testing in the Flash editor, the html end of things is nothing to be concerned about at this stage, and will likely take care of itself when it comes time.
    So you run the file in Flash and do not get any error messages?  Then place a trace command inside the button's event handler function to see if the button is communicating with it....
    function b_1ClickHandler(e:MouseEvent)
        trace("button works");
         navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.MYURL.com/.html"),"_self");
    Also, I'm just noticing you don't have an actual file named in the url, so in case the "not working" is that you can't get the desired page to show, that may be the cause.  Normally I would suggest testing url links online rather than in Flash because it's iffy to try to get the web involved with the editor at times.

  • Smart Cover Functioning IOS7 to IOS8

    I'm a 30+ year software professional, and use Windows, Linux, MacOS, and IOS on a daily basis.
    I bought my wife a 64 GB iPad Air2 (I'll call it iPad4) with wifi/wireless for Christmas.  I bought her an iPad2 many years ago (16GB, no wireless), and she uses it like gangbusters.  However, she absolutely hates changes.  I backed up the iPad2, which runs the last IOS7 version before the IOS8 release, on iTunes and restored it to the iPad4.  The email restore didn't do what I expected, but she got over it.
    The issue is the closing of the smart cover.  It has really changed between IOS7 and IOS8, and took a turn for the worse.  In IOS7, you can close it, hear the click, and it goes off.  If you opened it in a little bit it would come one without having to enter the pin.  If you left it closed for some time, you would have to reenter the pin.  This is the way we like it to work.
    The IOS8 does not appear to have that level of control.  If you want the iPad to turn off when you close the cover, if you open it immediately you have to enter the pin.  If you don't have the lock with pin enabled, when you close the cover the iPad is still on draining the battery.  There is no combo of settings that allows you to close the cover to turn it off and not have to enter the pin if you reopen it in a short time.
    Looking into this issue on the forums, I see other people have the same complaint.  It appears that Apple combined 2 settings into 1 in IOS8 so you no longer have the same amount of control.
    I would like to see them restore the settings to how the cover closing/locking worked as it did in IOS7.

    Your iPad Air 2 has Touch ID. This is the feature which allows defining fingerprints and using your fingers to unlock the iPad by touching the Home button.
    The relevant settings are all in Settings > Touch ID & Passcode - USE TOUCHID FOR:
    - iPad Unlock
    - Apple Pay
    - iTunes & App Stores
    if you turn iPad Unlock ON here then the only choice for Require Passcode is Immediately, however, if you turn iPad Unlock OFF the choices for Require Passcode will be Immediately, After 1 minute, After 5 minutes, After 15 minutes, etc. This is what you are used to.
    The change in behavior of the iOS is due to the presence of Touch ID not the level number.
    No one here knows why Apple made this change, but, perhaps, their thinking was that, since one can unlock the screen simply by touching the Home Button with one or another finger, everyone would, of course, want the more secure Require Passcode=Immediately.
    I tend to agree with you that this assumption on their part is unjustified. You can give Apple feedback at http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

    hmmmm. are all the PCs on the same network?
    if so, is there systemwide security software? if so, check to see if the QuickTime Player is being allowed access to the internet.

  • The Keyword.URL function keeps resetting to a different value.

    I just downloaded Firefox 4, and normally what I would in Firefox 3.6, I would type a keyword in the URL bar. And it comes up saying that I'm searching using:
    jar:file:///C:/Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox/omni.jar!/chrome/en-US/locale/browser-region/region.properties
    I don't know where that came from, so I opened about:config, went to keyword.URL and switched to Google.
    Okay, it works now. I exit it, and I later on opened it back up. I put in a word again. The same thing came up from when I started:
    jar:file:///C:/Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox/omni.jar!/chrome/en-US/locale/browser-region/region.properties
    I try fixing it again. It works now.
    It seems the problem is the keyword.URL value keeps resetting, but I don't know how it got "jar:file:///C:/Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox/omni.jar!/chrome/en-US/locale/browser-region/region.properties" to appear on it.
    So, is this just a bug on Firefox 4, or am I just the only one experiencing it? And if so, how can I solve this problem?
    I know I have like two other search engines available for use on my browser, but I mostly use the URL bar to search. Any solutions?

    How can we get someone from Mozilla to correctly answer these questions instead of people like us? No offence, but there are different answers to this question all over the net and none of them are right. It is frustrating enough at time to drop Firefox altogether.
