Smartform pdf generated with error

Hi Gurus,
Need your help.
I had converted smartform to PDF and sent it as attachment to mail ( 3 PDF's) the loop is running fine and I got all the three
PDF's as mail attachment but only one I am able to open rest to file damaged.
the process goes like :
1.select upto 3 rows
2. loop the three rows one by one.
3. within first loop entry.
3.1 CALL FUNCTION 'SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
3.2 CALL FUNCTION 'SSF_GET_DEVICE_TYPE'
3.3 CALL FUNCTION V_FM  " ( calling generated func module )
3.4 CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERT_OTF'
3.5  CALL FUNCTION 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'
then back to second loop entry and third , But when I check my inbox only 1 PDF is generated properly rest are file damaged.
I am working on - EHP4 ERP 2005 ECC 6.0 - Retail can I use cl_bcs in above?

Hi Aidan,
Thank you for your reply,
I have done the SCOT setting,
could you tell me how to pass OTF data obtained from Function module below to send as mail:
CALL FUNCTION V_FM
          EXPORTING
          CONTROL_PARAMETERS = W_CTRLOP
          OUTPUT_OPTIONS = W_COMPOP
          USER_SETTINGS = 'X'
          WA_LFA1            = WA_LFA1
          IMPORTING
          JOB_OUTPUT_INFO    = W_RETURN
          TABLES
          IT_POTAB           = IT_POTAB
          EXCEPTIONS
          FORMATTING_ERROR = 1
          INTERNAL_ERROR = 2
          SEND_ERROR = 3
          USER_CANCELED = 4
          OTHERS = 5.
          IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
          MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
          WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
          ENDIF.
*          End of: Call Generated Function Module
I_OTF[] = W_RETURN-OTFDATA[].
Using which parameter of  function SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 should I send the OTF data.
Regards,
Deepak

    Regards, Karin

    Hello,
    I think I found something: the webapp.jar in adminui.war in LiveCycle.ear contains the FeatureBean class and is different once I have PDF Generator included. I tried to exchange this jar file. Now I have access again to the administrator webapp.
    However, I get an error message when I try to convert images with Acrobat:
    "The service to convert the document could not be looked up."
    Can this have something to do with the exchange? It's a strange error message because Acrobat is installed together with PDF Generator.
    Or could it be because I have also Adobe Reader 7.0.8 installed?
    Any ideas would be really appreciated.
    Regards, Karin

  • WatchFolder PDF Generator throws error:  ALC-PDG-010-012-PDFMaker ...

    When setting up the WatchFolder after initial TURNKEY install, I am receiving the following error:
    ALC-PDG-010-012-PDFMaker reported an error while printing the document in the failure.log file  (full text of error below).
    This is, of course, after working thru other errors, but have been unable to get past this one.  According to the LiveCycle AdminUI About page I have LiveCycle PDF Generator ES v8.2.1 loaded.  Again, I used the TURNKEY install, have Acrobat 9 Pro Extended installed on the same server along with MicroSoft Office v2007.  I looked at the other posts involving this error message, but didn't see where a resolution has been given nor did any of the information lead me to a fix.  I tried doing a simple MS Word document conversion from the adminui, the same error, ALC-PDG-010-012-PDFMaker reported an error while printing the document came up.  I have been able to open a WORD doc on the server and print using the Adobe PDF printer and that worked just fine.  Any help given will be much appreciated!

    The resolution to this error was simply to go to the windows add/remove programs, remove the current install of MS Office, then reinstall insuring I was logged in with the same ID as the ID that installed the LiveCycle and Adobe Pro 9.  Rebooted server after the installs and then everything worked.  Has continued to work all week.

  • Using LiveCycle PDF Generator with VSD viewer

    Hi everyone,
    Is it possible to use PDF generator to convert vsd files into pdf file with only installing a Microsoft VSD Viewer instead of the standard complete Microsoft Office Visio Install ?
    Thanks,
    Thomas

    You can create a web service to convert html to pdf using the HTML to PDF converter library for .NET or the converter integratd in the Winnovative PDF Creator for .NET. You can download the development libraries from http://www.winnovative-software.com .

  • Printing Services do not accept PDFs generated with Pages

    Hello,
    I have a MacBook Pro, OS X 10.4.1 and I have been using Pages to generate documents which I then turn into PDFs before sending to a printing service for printing. However, several print services that I need to use to stay cost competitive cannot accept PDFs generated by Pages (I believe they said or Quark). The print service printers will not print PDFs created by pages. I've probably spent 2 weeks trying to work my way out of this one and I can't seem to find a solution other than to manually rework all my files into Word documents which could take months. Does anyone have a suggestion for me? Thank you so much,
    Wendy

    I need to use to stay cost competitive cannot accept PDFs generated by Pages (I believe they said or Quark)
    The print publishing industry has agreed on a specification for print-ready PDF. The specification is an ISO standard known as PDF/X for blind eXchange, meaning that if the person preparing the digital master applies the specification then the person printing the digital master can depend on the master to be printable.
    QuarkXPress 7 includes PDF/X authentication internally and Apple Pages includes PDF/X authentication externally through the sysem-level Apple ColorSync filters. The print service provider should inform you of the printing condition she is selling you and should provide an ICC type PRTR printer profile for that printing condition.
    The ICC printer profile determines the ink limit, the detail in the highlights and the detail in the shadows, the gray balance relative to the tint of the paper (whether bluish, yellowish, reddish, or near neutral) and matches the laydown order of the inks in the printing system. If the print service provider has no ICC printer profile for a custom printing condition, ISO 12647 reference data are available from www.color.org and the print service provider should be able to build a separation to suit her process from that. This ICC printer profile should be set as the OutputIntent in the PDF/X filter, whether in QuarkXPress, in Apple Pages, in Adobe InDesign, in Adobe Acrobat or in any other compatible application.
    Best,
    Henrik

  • Script to drop/re-create sequences is generated with errors

    Hello,
    I'm migrating an Oracle 10g instance running on Solaris 10 to an Oracle 11g instance running on RedHat Linux. I'm following the "Platform Migration" White Paper ( URLhttp://www.oracle.com/technology/deploy/availability/pdf/maa_wp_11g_platformmigrationtts.pdf ).
    In the appendix, there's the code for a script that's supposed to generate an SQL script that drops and re-creates the sequences on the target machine:
    set heading off feedback off trimspool on escape off
    set long 1000 linesize 1000 pagesize 0
    col SEQDDL format A300
    spool tts_create_seq.sql
    prompt /* ========================= */
    prompt /* Drop and create sequences */
    prompt /* ========================= */
    select regexp_replace(
    dbms_metadata.get_ddl('SEQUENCE',sequence_name,sequence_owner),
    '^.*(CREATE SEQUENCE.*CYCLE).*$',
    'DROP SEQUENCE "'||sequence_owner||'"."'||sequence_name
    ||'";'||chr(10)||'\1;') SEQDDL
    from dba_sequences
    where sequence_owner not in
    (select name
    from system.logstdby$skip_support
    where action=0)
    spool off
    I have run it on my Solaris machine, and it generates a file that looks like this:
    /* ========================= */
    /* Drop and create sequences */
    /* ========================= */
    CREATE SEQUENCE "MDSYS"."TMP_COORD_OPS" MINVALUE 1000000 MAXVALUE 2000000 INCREMENT BY 1 START WITH 1000000 NOCACHE NOORDER CYCLE
    CREATE SEQUENCE "MDSYS"."SDO_TOPO_TRANSACT_SUBSEQ" MINVALUE 1 MAXVALUE 999999999999999999999999999 INCREMENT BY 1 START WITH 1 NOCACHE ORDER NOCYCLE
    I don't have any "drop sequence" commands, and there is no semicolon (;) at the end of the "create sequence" lines, so those are not executed.
    I'm not at all familiar with PL/SQL, could somebody point me to the error?
    Thank you,
    Adrian

    Why do you need the "REGEXP_REPLACE ()" function?
    This would be simpler:
    SET long 32000 longc 80 pages 0 lin 80 trims on
    COL ddl wor
    SELECT    'DROP SEQUENCE "'
           || sequence_owner
           || '"."'
           || sequence_name
           || '";'
           || CHR (10)
           || DBMS_METADATA.get_ddl ('SEQUENCE', sequence_name, sequence_owner)
           || ';'
           || CHR (10) DDL
      FROM dba_sequences
    WHERE sequence_owner NOT IN (SELECT NAME
                                    FROM SYSTEM.logstdby$skip_support
                                   WHERE action = 0);
    /:p

  • InDesign PDF printing with errors but only in browser

    Hello,
    I've created a PDF poster and uploaded it to dropbox and put a link to it on my website. I want people to be able to open the PDF in the browser and print it immediately without having to download it. Unfortunately when the link to the PDF is clicked on and the poster printed, some of the objects within the PDF have moved - some items near the top seem to have shifted downwards while others have stayed where they are. However when I print the file direct from Adobe reader, this doesn't happen, it prints normally.
    This is what the poster should look like, and what it looks like when printed from Adobe reader:
    This is what the poster looks like when its printed from a browser:
    As you can see something strange has happened to some of the objects near the top of the page, they appear to have been 'pushed down' in some way. We've tried saving the PDF as various different versions and with a variety of different settings, and although occasionally this might change the look of the printed document - the errant objects may move to different locations, this never solves the problem.
    N.B. I've had the same problem when printing from some PDF readers other than Adobe reader.
    Any help would be much appreciated, thank you for your time.

    Thank you for responding!
    The browser doesn't open the reader, it just opens the PDF in a new window. This is the case in all browsers i've tried. But I should add that when the PDF first opens in this new window, it appears error free. It is only when print is clicked, and the print preview appears that the errors show up.
    In response to your points about transparency (which I don't know about) and an interactive button, the PDF was created in InDesign just using what I assume where the default settings. So if I were to recreate the PDF in InDesign, with these complex functions disable would this solve the problem? If so could you tell me how to do that?
    Thanks very much for your help,

  • Preview: PDFs generated with Oracle RS are missing letters

    Hi,
    When I open PDFs in Preview which were created using "Oracle10gR2 AS Reports Services", some letters are missing. The documents aren't corrupted and appear valid on other platforms or in other applications. Is there any solution/fix for Preview? As I'm quite happy with Preview I don't want to install the Adobe reader and I can't change the document generator, as my University's support says "it works on Win/Adobe, hence use them instead..."
    TIA, JC

    Same exact issue. Very annoying. My workaround is to Cntrl-click on the pdf report and choose Open With... and use Adobe Reader. But I like using Preview because it's so easy to highlight or circle items, and add other annotations. I don't want to have Adobe Reader be my default reader.
    I wish someone would trouble-shoot this and offer up a real fix. I may contact our IT folks--but there aren't that many Macs where I work, so it won't be a high priority for them.

  • GilAltOneMT font missing in PDF generated with FM8.0p266

    Hi -
    Long time Frame user, reluctantly "upgraded" to Frame 8.0/Tech Comm Suite within the past 4 months. Never had issues generating PDF files using the PDF printer driver from Frame 7.0. With Frame 8.0, for some reason the font "GilAtOneMT" will not appear in the PDF file, which is an issue as this font is used as our sans serif font for headers, etc. Why is this particular font such an issue?
    I only experience this issue with Frame 8.0. Use same font in PhotoShop CS3 and Illustrator CS2, and no issue generating PDFs from these apps with this font.
    Not in the mood to rework all of our Frame templates to switch over to some other font, but looks inevitable.
    Multiple users here having the same issue. The only commonality that we have is that we have all upgraded to Frame 8.0 and now have this issue. We have been using these same Frame templates for 5+ years, since Frame 5.5.
    Thanks,

    Hi -
    Well, the Tech Comm Suite sat in my office gathering dust for months, because if something is not broke (like Frame 7), why mess with success? Now, it's broken, and right before a big product release. Are you suggesting that this issue is fixed in TCS2.0?
    <<how are you creating PDFs? SaveAs or printing directly to the Adobe PDF printer or print to file & distilling the resulting .ps file?>>
    Printing directly to PDF printer.
    - <<have you set the Adobe PDF printer to be the default printer in FM? You can use the SetPrint utility to set this for you automajically for you when you start FM.>>
    You're dealing with a non-tech here, where is the "SetPrint utility" - ? Set it as the default on my system, or just in Frame?
    <<- what version of O/S are you using? There was a MS hotfix that solved a FM PDF problem recently - search for "MS hotfix" in the FM forums or check the Adobe TCS blog; they have a link there to it.>>
    I will check this out. I am using Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 (like the rest of the corp world).
    <<PS - if you just got TCS in the last 4 months, why didn't you get TCS2.0? You know version 1.0 of anything will always have hiccups ;>)>>
    Trust me, I fought this one kicking and screaming. I still get shudders thinking about my "upgrade" to Illustrator CS. I am now in revolt over our impending "upgrade" to AuthorIT.
    Thanks for listening to me whine...

  • PDF generate with landscape rotation AutoCAD

    I have been trying to find solution.  Perhaps some one can help via this forum.
    Using Acrobat X Pro on Windows 7.     I am trying to use the Adobe PDF windows printer to print from AutoCAD 2012.    I am successful generating output using Standard joboptions.   Here is the issue.
    When I print a Arch D size sheet.   I am not able to control the rotation.   PDF comes out rotate 90 ccw.    I have tried to address in the job file settings by turning off rotation,    I have tried switching to different pdf types.
    I have tried creating a sheet size that reverses the dimensions.   "Arch D" is listed with size 24x36.   I created a sheet, "Arch D 36x24" with dimension 36" wide and 24" high.    The preview inside AutoCAD show all is well.    Best I can do is get the drawing rotated 90 ccw when it opens to view in Acrobat.
    Yes, I know I can rotate and save the sheet in Acrobat to get it turned.   Not the solution I need.
    We can not use the AutoDesk DWGtoPDF.pc3 file as it doesn't produce line work and text that are acceptable.    We are switching back to using Acrobate but must not have people turning their heads to view on the screen.
